She had to break it to Rose. Such simple words, but in reality, they hurt. It was throwing away 11 years of love that stung the most, were they supposed to be ok with this? Did they ever get a say in anything? No matter how much it affected their personal life, those people could never know what "was best for them". Such simple words. They could impact someone's mental health in ways that were unimaginable. She really wanted to speak out, she wanted to cry, yet no one could understand. It hurt to admit that maybe she was too vulnerable, but that was the way it was. She had come to know about the news a day back, and it had broken her. Broken her will o be a perfect student.
Her parents were splitting up. The people who she had lived with, the people who had given birth to her, the ones who taught Rose and her how to talk and walk. These things hit you at the most unexpected times, she honestly couldn't believe her eyes when she held that piece of parchment. It was the dryness of the letter that had caught her in a chokehold, how easily one could call it quits and expect the other to understand.
And now she had to tell Rose. How? She didn't know. All she knew was that she had called her in the Grounds, to tell her about it. To tell her that this wasn't ok, and she genuinely cried for hours on end, not getting any sleep.
