He inwardly cringed as Percival gave him a side-wat hug. It was fair for the Blonde to get back at him for his previous shenanigans but Hanako didn’t think fair. Not to mention Percival’s height. It was no mystery that the boy was considered a bit on the tall side and his act made Hanako consider this as a tiny jab at his height. But pretending to be unaffected was a nice trait to have.
Before he could do anything, the boy had already pulled his arm away which Hanako reacted with an amused smirk.
He listened to the Little Lady finally introduce herself, her face beet red from embarrassment. It was a normal occurrence with Hanako’s personality being Hanako. To the response of her consent with his idea of her nickname, he passively clicked on his tongue and sent her a thumbs up. “ Little Lady it is~ “ He mused out, already knowing he’ll try to avoid her from now with her personality being a bit too kind for Hanako’s taste.
He raised an eyebrow at her sudden interest to leave so soon. Was it because of him? Did he tease the girl a bit too much? Whatever it was, he barely could send a wave before she fled. “ Well~” Hanako stated, eyes still on Ginny fleeing “ That was interesting “. He took note of her forgotten handkerchief.
He was about to comment on that before he heard a loud thump near them. On the ground, was a girl that had tripped herself bad enough, possibly face flat. Hanako let out a laugh at the scene.
Nothing brings more joy to him than seeing people trip, bonus points if it was over plain grass. She really was going to have a few stains on that pretty dress. Before he got the time to snide a few remarks about the poor girl, she lifted her head up and he shut his mouth.
“ Kara? What are you-“
He was still a bit perplexed about the situation. His brotherly instincts came in and helped her up with a swift movement. She mentioned wearing heels and Hanako merely rolled his eyes before flicking her head. “ Idiot “ he called her, before giving her a warm smile for a second.
It was an unwanted effect of being around someone who you had known for a long time. Hanako took notice of her attire but didn't say anything about it. Of course, she looked beautiful. Her blue flower-themed dress fitted perfectly on her and her hair updo looked nice. It was certainly an odd sight to see considering he was too used to seeing her in uniform or house clothes. But Hanako wasn’t the kind to compliment.
What captured his attention was something on her hair. He didn’t expect to see her wear the pin he gave her. It was touching to see yet it brought him to remember a terrible predicament he was in.
He forgot his gift for her. On his table. Forgotten.
He wanted to scream.
It’s not that he’ll be whacked by Kara if she found out he brought nothing. The girl was way too sweet to be demanding and that was primarily the only reason why he even made an effort to give her a gift.
And he would’ve continued to be clueless if she hadn't worn that darned cursed pin. Every time he looked at it, it seemed to taunt him of his forgetfulness and he was half tempted to blast a spell on it. The idea was shooed away rather quickly.
Althea then pulled him in and whispered something about Kara being his girlfriend, to which he whacked her scoffed. “ Jealous, Veleden~? I didn’t peg you a clingy type “ He joked back, unintentionally possibly making her believe he actually was in a relationship. A scary thing, obliviousness.
“ Well this has been a pleasant introduction “ he clapped his hands once, with an innocent grin plastered on his face. “ But alas, I must leave a while. The food table seemed to be calling me for quite a while now. Have fun chatting it out, you all~” and just like that he slipped out of the group.
Percival would be fine. Hanako knew Althea and Kara to be rather pleasant people to converse with so he’d like to think he left his friend in good hands.
Now onto his real mission.
Surely no one would mind if he took a bit of flowers here and there right? It's a blossom ball is it not? Just a few dozens would do, no one would miss them anyway. This place is literally filled with them.
Alright perhaps he shouldn’t have thrown the flower he was given at the entrance to the ground because of his pet peeve about plucked flowers but what could he do about it now?
So off he went here and there grabbing a few flowers he could find while at the same time avoiding Kara and making sure she stays a good few feet away from him and out of his sight.
By now, he already had quite a handful but that was nowhere near what he needed. Flowers crowns are a time-consuming thing to create. But he was certain if everything is going as smoothly as now, he’ll have time to finish it before the ball ended.
Of course, something just had to go wrong and before he could grab a couple more the lights went out.
Why did the lights go out? And just as he was about to finish? He was really lucky tonight, really.
He grumbled a few incoherent words under his breath as everything went pitch black with a few people who shone the way with the Lumos spell but that was nowhere enough light for Hanako to finish his masterpiece/kara’s gift.
Since he was away from the group, he could do nothing but stand still with a tired look as he waited for the lights to come back on.
Action: being oblivious and taking flowers for his date but now is in confusion and standing idly

Despite the fact that his date with Wren Caster was questionable at best, he was not going to allow some scoundrel (Gem Stuart) to hurt her. A terminal case of white knight syndrome, the third year pointed his wand at the unsuspecting student who had earned the ire of apparently two random women. The resulting spewing of slugs was anything but respectable. The large, slimy, slithering creatures that would seem to worm up his gullet and escape through his mouth.
Some girl (Amara Dragamior) that he had never seen before would scold him. He did not take much of what she had said to heart even if he took note of the name of the boy -- Gem. Strange name for a boy. He was not even sure what side the girl was on, some harem. Was Wren a scorned ex of... this guy? He did not look -that- hot. He was okay if you liked the... muggle look he had going. Yes, he was a bit jealous not that he would ever admit it.
Wren tried to say something, however another girl interceded on Gem's behalf (Aurelia Notrésvace). Harem, no kidding. His girlfriend was frozen solid and she would fall to the ground. He knew the spell, Petrificus Totalus. He had two options, either release her from the spell or let Aurelia join her before he got to play out the scene where he, the dashing hero saves the damsel without a wicked witch (anyone in his harem) flinging spells at his back. So he returned her spell in kind. Petrificus Totalus he declared as he brandished his wand.
Of course, the lights went out. He would be ensconced in darkness and there would be a distant buzzing noise that would grow louder. The commotion of the other distressed students as the lights left. "Shit..." he muttered. There would be a scream, it did not come from him but his heart did pound loudly in his ears. He hated the darkness and the terrors that were hidden within. He could feel panic flutter in his chest.
"...Mary? Fuck! Mary!" He would search in the dark for Wren, if he could find her. He was not a particularly powerful young man but adrenaline does a number of things. "Wren, we got to go now," he warned her. Not that she could really move, fight or complain which might be for the best considering she was one of them 'modern' women. [Understood, 1 action per turn. Prep for next round. He plans to break the bind if it is not broken by an ally or perhaps carry her depending on the moderation and situation.]

It was just as Katrina finished her last carrot that something happened. At first it was gradual, the slight dimming of the lights. Then faster and she looked to the side to see one by one the lights flickering out. All around them it dimmed more and more. People began to call out in loud voices, she thought she even heard someone cry. Then, the entire pitch plunged into darkness.
Katrina froze in her seat. For several seconds her legs wouldn't respond, she wanted to run away and hide. But she couldn't. The 12-year-old was thankful that the near darkness (as people began casting Lumos) didn't show her shaky limbs. She scrunched over in her seat, ignoring the dizziness that came with movement. Her head began pounding and it was hard for her to catch her breath.
"No, no, no, not now. Please," Katrina whispered breathlessly as a wave of nausea crashed over her. Just breathe. Just breathe. The lioness forced her quickening breaths to slow, the focus allowed the dizziness to fade away, but the inert fright was crawling up the back of her mind.
She sat up in the chair and did one of the things that helped her most in panic attacks (but this was her worst so far) notice things. Every little detail. She could see the outline of the table, the stars up above, the movement of people around her, @River Dewlight's outline in the dark, the cupcake sitting on her dark plate. The red-head moved on to touch-- I can feel a weak wind, the tablecloth on my knees, my locket around my neck, my slow breaths. She could hear people casting 'Lumos' and murmuring in softer voices now.
As her panic attack began to fade, Katrina looked around. She dearly hoped no one had seen her. River's voice as if she was okay, "Yeah, you?" Again she found herself thanking the darkness.
Just breathe. Just breathe.
As she waited for an response, Katrina drew out her wand. It seemed like everyone was casting Lumos so it was likely that she wouldn't need to as well. However, she wanted to be ready for anything and casting a useless spell didn't seem like the brightest idea.
Just breathe. Just breathe.
Katrina looked up to see that @Piérre Marchonné was no longer above them. For a moment, her heart froze in her chest, but then she saw a green blur farther over at the stands.
Just breathe. Just breathe.
What was going on? Katrina bit her lip, eyes searching for anything out of the ordinary.

"Why would it matter? It's not like you are planning to harm me or do anything else that required people to take you down, is it?"
She was playing coy, so be it. From the moment she hesitated to wear the corsage he knew that something was wrong. Like most Ravenclaws, this was a test, a perennial assessment of their intentions. "Not at all, do I look like a bad guy" he gave her a cheeky grin.
The boy had a good memory, they first met in January. Victor and Marion had failed to show up for lunch, a recent bad-habit where he had become a third wheel in the friendship. He carried the incredibly short first year's books back to their common area. Shortly thereafter, he was selling candy at cost to desperate pre-teens looking for love. Opeila was among the girls he had sold the candy to. He rarely forgot a face. That was February. The Slytherin Common Rooms were attacked, the girl was the key to that although she did not know how or why, she might never know. However, that was a meager fear compared to the trepidation within the three youths they pursued.
Rafael would lunge at him, he was not here to hurt the girl so he relinquished her and pushed her to the side. There was not a doubt in his mind, if a lingering doubt still remained why she accepted. Who her allies were as he gave her a sideways glance as he shifted to the side and then punched the Quidditch Captain in the face, allowing his own locomotive force compound the force behind his counterattack.
Marion would intercede, casting the slug vomiting charm on the handsome fellow. "Mary, keep out of this!" Vladimir uncharacteristically snapped. "I got this!" He sounded agitated, of course he was. He did not want to do this here. "If the boy wants to know pain, I will make them intimate partners," he sounded aggressive but his words were hardly a threat.
"D'Spacito, I'd appreciate if I didn't have to force you to calm down."
She said that but she made no move, she seemed and she looked calm. So be it, his fist was not sore yet. While he expelled those writhing, wiggling creatures from his mouth. Vladimir would attempt to lift Rafael by his collar to his feet using his right. His left, yes he was left-handed pulled back. He was not looking at Rafael however, he was looking to see the expression on Opeila's face as he pummeled her likely ally. -- Attempts to punch Rafael --
Success or otherwise, he would release the Gryffindor when the lights went out. "Damn..." he muttered. There would be shifting in the darkness. Where was his bag? "Where is my bag?" there was a tone of desperation in his voice. A drastic change from his usual tone. "Vic. VIC!" What was going on? What terror did the nighttime bring?
The unfathomable darkness.
"Don't do it! It's gone. RUN!"

Opeila sent a smile back, seemingly amused, while her thoughts spun in circles, trying to memorize everything that Vladimir said and at the same time still trying to play the game.
"Oh, of course not....", she said, almost provokingly slow. Maybe it was a bad idea to start like that, but there was still time. Not to get him out, he seemed to know what the plan was, but that didn't mean she had to panic, right? She could do this. Somehow.
When Rafael attacked Vladimir, a familiar girl casted the slug vomiting charm on him. Marion. Now she quickly shot a look in Flash's direction, before quickly scanning the crowd. Was Thora somewhere, or Bridget? Tyranni?
When Vladimir picked up Rafael, Opeila wouldn't even notice that he looked at her. And he would find nothing but light irritation about this rather... well, brainless action. The first year had her wall up. Her face would only show what she wanted to show. Hopefully.
Only when Vladimir punched him, she'd interfere. She would grab the third year's sleeve, shaking her head. "Don't! Pleas-"
Opeila stopped when the lights went off. Her eyes widened, she would hold on to Vladimir's sleeve even tighter, unknowingly looking for safety next to her possible enemy. The wand that she had before held to threaten Rafael, had now a different purpose. "Lumos!"
Then she heard Vladimir shout. His bag. The bag he had with him all the time until now. Was it responsible for this?! Everything in Opeila seemed to freeze for a second, before she turned to Vladimir again. "What was in your bag?! Is it- What happened?!" Fear was now in Opeila's voice. "Damn it, find that bag!" Please would some of her partners hear this. Opeila couldn't go now, she could not risk to have her date disappear in the darkness.

Kara heard a snicker escape from Hanako's lips. As she lifted her face off the ground, she scowled slightly, then felt Hanako quickly sweep her up back onto her feet. Kara then felt a flick on her forehead from Hanako. She held her hand over the spot, rubbing it slightly to stop the sting.@Hanako Tone @Althea Valeden @Percival Rainwood
"Idiot." Hanako said cheekily, then flashing a warm smile at her.
She smiled back and then looked at the other two people, both holding their hands out to shake hers.
"Ah, I'm Althea Valeden of the Hufflepuff house. I am Hanako's 'business partner'," The girl had said.
Althea was very much shorter than her. She had dark brown hair with some very pretty, jade green eyes. She was wearing a nice dress. It was navy blue at the bottom with a nice white shawl-like part on top.
Kara shook Althea's hand with a nod of greeting then turned to the boy.
"Hi Kara. My name is Percival Rainwood." He said.
The boy, named Percival, was also in Slytherin, so she recognized the blonde haired boy. He was wearing a nice plain shirt with suspenders, and she noticed a nice looking pin, that of a family crest, it looked like one at least.
She shook his hand as well and then said.
"Sorry for the clumsy entrance. I am pretty clumsy, and wearing heels was probably a bad idea."
Kara would then proceed to brush the access dirt off her dress and rub some off her face with her thumb.
Kara looked over a Hanako, and blushed slightly. When he had helped her up, he was so quick that she didn't notice how good he looked. He had seemed to go for a beige type of look, with a hat as well. The boy seemed to always wear a fancy hat whenever he would be going out in formal wear.
She noticed Althea pull Hanako close and whisper something in his ear with a teasing look, which Hanako reacted to with a whack to the head and with a retort shot back at Althea jokingly.
"Well this has been a pleasant introduction!" He said, clapping his hands with a small grin, "But alas, I must leave a while. The food table seemed to be calling me for quite a while now. Have fun chatting it out, you all~”
"Ok, cya, grab me something as well!" She called over as he left the group.
"Well, that seemed weird. He just slipped away suddenly.." Kara inquired.
She would talk with the group for a little till the lights suddenly shut down. A few surprised yelps and gasps sounded around her. People were calling to each other, whilst some pulled out their wands and illuminated them.
She pulled out her wand and said "Lumos" and made the end of it shine brightly.
"Do you guys have any idea what happened?" Kara asked Althea and Percival.
She looked around for a bit, hoping to see if anything would give her a hint on what made the lights go out.

"Blood," she admitted with a shaky hesitant voice as her eyes looked down at the ground. Jars and jars of blood. "Like I said," she frowned a bit as she continued in the same low whisper [note - not random readers you don't happen to overhear this] "I have been sick for a very long time." She nervously rubbed what she called a 'scar' on the back of her neck. "Bad blood," she nervously laughed but there was no humor in her voice. "They," she nervously eyed the two guys with their dates. "Help prevent it from spreading by taking my blood," apparently they were very close friends.
She shook her head, she had said too much. Arlo was nice. Encouraging. He would have run away screaming had he knew the whole story. A fact that nagged at her. When he shown her a pair of pinpricks on his knee. Dark scabs with the marked appearance of veins below an intact skin surface of an inky black nature Descriptive Picture. "If it..." yeah she knew exactly what it was. "It..." She sighed. "Just don't miss your treatments," she warned. The treatments that he never saw her take. She was not in the Common Room when the spiders attacked.
She would have said more, but Rafael screamed something about Potter and the color drained from her face. She would retrieve her wand, like most wizards here, she brought her wand. A necessary tool for her continued survival.
Vladimir rebuked her. The loss of his cool facade, a crack in an otherwise flawless edifice. Arlo jumped in front of her. She would not see Vladimir's bag being stolen, apparently she was distracted. Something very bad was potentially going to happen if they got them too mad. "We need to get out of here," she sounded nervous. "With the bag," she insisted.
Just as she made that warning, the light would flicker out. They would be plunged into darkness. Marion would let out a scream. Not the sort of sound that someone makes when they have been given a fright. It was a blood-chilling sort of noise, as if she was being murdered. Arlo might feel a hand, an ice cold hand on his shoulder that gripped him tightly (unless he moved or evaded). The other, she reached for the bag. "We need to get this out of here, she whispered."
Victor would call out her name. She would not answer. "Don't call back," she seemed to beg. "We need to hide."

It was rather funny, how fate seemed to twist the best of plans.
Rafael had been ready for pain. Hell, he’d expected as much, coming from a lad such as Vladimir Athatanos, what with his strong third year build and the reputation for trouble that preceded his name. Not to mention that, to the average onlooker, the young Captain’s actions may have seem blatant and uncalled for – really, to not expect consequences would be foolish, absurd, thoughts generally expected from a bumbling buffoon who didn’t know what they were doing. However, the boy was far from the sort. After all, he’d been in many a fight, and had taken enough punches in enough places to have earned the title of tenured warrior. Fists couldn’t hurt him, it really didn’t matter how big the attacker was. He was mentally unbreakable, a brick wall of steely determination that was far from destruction, especially by the hands of evil itself.
The chain of events had happened too fast to process, so the boy wouldn’t try to, only revel in the pain that he’d felt as his body collided with the dance floor, face throbbing from the impact of Vlad’s strong fists. Though Vladimir had come across as a strong young man, the amount of pain that exuded from his mere strength alone was stunning, the punch sending spots dancing in the eyes of the aggressor as he rolled onto his back, looking up at the bright night sky. No moon, huh. It seemed as if his face was wet, the liquid staining it most likely blood, his nose quite irritated with a subtle stream of pain. His second nosebleed of the night. Fucking wonderful. Not ideal, but he knew what he’d been asking for when he pulled a Tom Brady on the guy’s ass. His balance was shaky as he stood, equilibrium screwed from the potential jostling of his brain, eyes blinking dazedly in search of an understanding of the situation. It was then that he would wipe his mouth, leaning forward and grabbing Vlad’s shoulders for balance. Staining the Ravenclaw’s formalwear with red.
It started as a gag, a little twist of disgust in the back of the boy’s throat – a slightly sour look morphed on the boy’s face, the same sort of look that one would perform when throwing up a little in their mouth. Which was unnaturally spontaneous – what reason did he have, to feel sick? He couldn’t remember eating anything. Was it, that someone had spiked the yoohoo? “What the he-“ however, the boy wouldn’t have but a second to consider this, as the nausea hit him right in that moment, the impact rushing his stomach like a train, the contents of his stomach exploding outwards – he leaned forward, slugs falling all over Vladimir’s suit as he stumbled forward, now leaning upon the victim of his aggression. The feeling was revolting, and for a moment, the Gryffindor Captain’s eyes screwed shut, trying to block out the nausea. Disgusting.
He would look down, observing the result of his sickness, splayed ominously about the formalwear of the Ravenclaw as he sucked in a breath, spitting some of the excess slime pooling about his mouth to the ground. Slugs. That was new. Was it that he’d been hit by a spell, in his attempt to harm the blonde beauty? Alas, it would seem that he’d angered more than one person. Not that he felt any particular qualms about such actions – messing with Vladimir’s snazzy look for the evening was his pleasure. It was more than evident on the boy’s face, his lips twisting in the most smug-ass grin a human being could possibly muster. He would continued to rub it in, quite literally, smearing the slime upon the boy’s suit, his face carrying a confident look, as if he were doing the boy a massive favour. "You know,” he grinned, “slug is a nice look on y-“ a gag suddenly took control of his form, a torrent of slugs pouring onto the boy’s suit once more. “You. That all you g-got, now? One lousy p – ”
"Where is my bag?"
At the sound of Vlad’s sudden realization, the boy straightened out, eyes widening as he gagged, more slugs spewing outwards. Well, that just wouldn’t do. Perhaps he would have to distract the boy further. “HEY!” he growled, his gaze sharp once more as he bared his teeth, much like an animal. “EYES ON ME, YEAH! I’M THE PROBLEM HERE!” It would be then, that he would curl his hand into a fist, eyes narrowing down on the Ravenclaw as he swung forward, gripping on the shoulder of the boy as to gain more control. If Willow needed further distraction, he’d be happy to comply. After all, it’s not like he had anything better to do…

Refuse? The iconic girl refused to answer her question? Margo couldn't decide whether to laugh or just start begging... not that she would actually beg. She did have some pride, after all. Luckily, Margo was saved from merely calling her 'the girl' by Ruby, who seemed to have previously asked for clarification on the goddess's title. Xailah. Margo was slightly envious of the unique syllables and unusual choice of letters. She found her own name somewhat ironic - Margo White meaning 'white pearl'. Of course, she loved the idea of shining on a murky seabed, but pearls were often linked to innocence, and that was something she did not agree with. She had no time for naivety on her adventures - it was a hindrance that would only drag her backwards.Interacting with @Xailah Alptraum, @Ruby Cazares and @Pericles Dralt

It occurred to Margo that she should probably give Xailah her name if she wanted the girl to remember their encounter. "I'm Margo White." She told the girl with a grin. "So now that we're officially introduced, could we please keep discussing your fabulously altered dress? I like to sew as well, and..."
Margo's voice trailed off as she stared at Ruby. Had the girl... complimented her? She took an extra-large bite of treacle tart to try and overcome the shock. She certainly considered Ruby a friend, and their time by the fire had been a vivid thought in Margo's mind for quite some time. But this was some of Margo's proof that Ruby felt the same way. In two years, they'd shoved each other into icy lake water (okay, so maybe Margo had done the shoving) and transformed their bond into friendship. Anyone looking closely would see the spark of happiness in her bold gaze as Margo looked at the prefect. Now Ruby was using compliments instead of sarcasm. She smirked. Two could play at that game.
"Well, you look positively radiant, Ruby. Have you noticed we're matching?"
Margo frowned as Pericles came and shared his intentions to head to the stands. This was the second prefect in their group, and although she felt safe in their capable hands she knew that they didn't know the meaning of the words 'off duty'. Margo sighed. Pericles was one of the organisers, she supposed, and she'd come to like the boy whilst they foamed the quidditch pitch together. The least she could do was join him in his duty. Count me right in." She said enthusiastically, following him towards the stands. She wondered if she might be able to join back up with Sean as well.
Deciding that she couldn't possibly live without grabbing some more food, Margo headed to the refreshments table whilst the others mounted the stairs. She filled up a glass with water, feeling a shadow creeping up her back as she did so. She whirled around to face the dancefloor, but instead of a tall person looming over her, she saw the candles above the crowd flickering and dying. A flicker of fear crossed Margo's face as the last candle was extinguished and the pitch plunged into darkness.
A hush settled over the crowd before whispers of 'lumos' and muttered words of comfort split the silence. Margo reached down to pull her wand from her boot. She had never been afraid of the dark, but this darkness was different, almost eerie. She could've sworn she heard a buzzing growing steadily louder, but shook her head in dismissal. Bees didn’t come out at night, and muggle machines didn’t work around Hogwarts. Her ears were just adjusting to the silence, was all.
Finally being able to see in the minimal light from a new moon, she headed towards the stairs, and by extension, her friends.

1. Bag with Arlo: At least two dozen mason jars in this bag filled with a black, viscous fluid. There is a small ball peen hammer and a roll of wizard tight.
2. Arlo's date feels like an ice cube.
3. A single rose in Victor's vase of flowers is not changing with the rest of them.
4. The bag in Willow's possession is heavy and needs to be dragged. [Would require an action for her to open and see what is inside Vladimir's bag]
5. Vlad does not know Willow is in possession of the bag (yet).
