It was dark, perhaps too dark maybe even somber. Angel liked that though for some reason she can't shake off the feeling that she'd been too lenient on herself. She knew she needed to be harder on herself, she scoffed. Angel knew that there's something more to her like potential. Feeling ambitious about her spot on the duelling club Angel wanted to do something great on her time here, but how and why? Maybe even asking herself "when"?

"The only thing holding you back is yourself." Angel said with monotone.

Angel didn't want to play nice anyone especially academics and what was expected of her, there will not be any stops especially not now, not ever. Have she not been taking her studies seriously? Did she not present herself with good impressions? Always it seems like she's out of place. Is she a representation of Slytherin? "The Traitor" it bugged her. Anyone can be great, but it seems like it isn't really reciprocated here. Far away from the rest it seemed like she was too naive, friends can only get you so far, all she ever done was play safe. Risks. Yes risks that's it she needed risks, she needed to take risks.

Quickly she went to the bathroom, rather trouble it did not look much but Angel closed the door slightly and brushed against the narrow walls.

It seemed to her she was not enough that she is not the Slytherin she is, but what if she can prove that wrong? That she deserved to be in here. Now silence met not a sound not a word spoken in the space that she's in now. She detested those who underestimated her, those who look pass her. She'll prove everyone wrong that she's not one to be weak. It turns out she's been out of place, just with the wrong people. The air was getting thicker it seemed hard to be here at this time of night yet again it did not faze her.

"Put effort, keep your ground"

She had heard those exact words before but she couldn't place where. Her memory was hazy it seemed unsuccessful to find where her mind was and where it remembered that. It clicked to her that she needed to really make her mark, and relying on others won't help her at all. Why was she so chipper all this time? Likewise why has she been too nice, awareness is what she needed as well it seems.

"After all this I've been too soft. If I want to make my mark I must do so with diligence and elegance." Angel said with sharpness and a low voice.

Angel needed to change although it may seem silly to change yourself, but this change was for the better not for the worse. Angel was sure of that. If status was of knowledge and upbringing then she needed to show it. Her family was not also just a muggle family not just that, far from it with a rich history she'll learn ahead of time. Angel did have potential and she was most definitely done being pushed over. Remembering that she was a Dhampiar, with roots, being one comes with great heritage.

Now of course Angel wouldn't be too cold and distant. Respect is earned, and being like the other Slytherins who were cold distant and rash wasn't her, but she knew she also was a Slytherin. She wanted to be different and maybe she can. Angel could expand her connections. Maybe being friends with all, especially pure bloods, so far she'd become a bit of a enemy to them. But what if she can prove them wrong? Perhaps maybe befriend them? If she wanted to make her mark making allies. Yes maybe having friends isn't so bad. If anything she wanted to make the people she dearly love proud. She wanted to be known.

The dimming lights were flickering. this time Angel sighed, she wanted growth, but she didn't know if what was hers was just someone's elses.

Angel sat down and closed her eyes. She needed a peace of mind. Lots of plans she wanted to do. One thing was for certain she really wanted to prove herself.

This may be my worse academic day. I didn't have much sleep last night, and my seat had been taken. Besides, I couldn't earn many points for the House, which had me in a mood, since I always earned points, even if it was just one.

Being a prodigy sucked. I was either too good or not good enough. And I was in the 'never enough' group. After all, it made sense that I got sorted into Ravenclaw. That's where I belonged to. Things here were very different from my Muggle Schools.

I needed some time for myself. And, thinking about how much of a failure I was for the expectations I had about myself, I ended in the abandoned toilets of the Second Floor.

But what made me stop was not my overthinking, or the fact that the hallway was cold.

It was the fact that there was someone in the inside.

I decided to take a look. I definitely needed to do something about this stupid habit of walking into random people at the worse moments.

I opened the door, just a bit, and peeked in.

There was a girl in there. She seemed... not well.

Pale, sitting in the floor, her back against the wall... and, by her robes, a Slytherin.

I was just about to turn around and find another space for my self-destruction when the empathetic side of my brain took charge for a moment.

Stupid me, stupid brain that was too emotional for this.

Slowly, I walked towards her, trying to be silent and not to scare her away.

"... are you okay?" I asked. Well done, Mikaela. You're eager to go try and help someone, but you still don't know how to comfort them.

"I was good. I was really good."

I was running past the abandoned bathrooms because every time I pass by there I'm afraid some ghost is going to attack me or something. "The only thing holding you back is yourself." said a very familiar voice through tears. I felt tears welling in my eyes hearing that. I knew this person. I knew I did. "After all this you've been too soft..." the voice continued. It sounded sharp and not like the person I knew. I burst (quietly) into the bathroom. "Are you ok..." someone asked. That someone was my roommate Mika. The girl crying was Angel. I remembered her from various things. Fights in the courtyard, a conversation in the corridors."Angel, are you ok? Oh Angel. I said. Falling onto the floor." Angel, There is a difference between soft and kind." I felt warm tears falling down onto my face. I almost saw myself in this situation. "Angel, just because...because..." I stuttered. "Because your Slytherin does not mean you have to be mean and cold. I didn't want this to end like this. "Angel, your perfect, your kind, you care. Don't listen to what people like who? Tes Cadel say. They don't know what they're saying." then I sat there crying silent tears for my friend.

Well it would seem like she had fallen asleep. Now as she woke up to sudden movement two girls were a bit cautious or worried. Tina and another girl. Confused it did give an impression she was unwell. That was not good and certainly not at all a wise idea to be seeing people her friend crying. Jumping up from the floor she was a bit worried too for the others who were concerned. In due time she was beginning to ponder what happened while she was deep in sleep? So far nothing had changed for the past few minutes.

"I'm fine! Sorry I think I must've fallen asleep!" her voice raised up

Getting her bag and swiftly propping it on her right shoulder. She would want to avoid this next time. Both girls looked concerned still. Steading herself she did not want anyone to feel heavy hearted after seeing her like this. Once again she turned around and gazed upon the two people who saw her.

"I apologize if you thought I was in distress. I think I'm just simply fatigued." she says perking her lips to the side

Wondering what the two will make of that, she hoped that her reassurance can clear the tension and misunderstanding. If anything she wants to leave now but she guessed she might be questioned even more due to her rash and anxious tone. Truth be told she did just didn't want have overstayed her welcome in the abandoned toilets.
sorry for the late response!!

I raised an eyebrow to Angel’s quick reaction. I stood up quickly and followed her. I considered Angel to be a good friend of mine. I stood infront of the door blocking Angel from leaving. “Angel Dayes, you mean to tell me you were sleep talking? Because the Angel Dayes I know is way to dignified to “sleep talk.” She wouldn’t let herself be caught “sleep talking.” I said, wondering if I sounded a bit too harsh. I mean I used her full name. But that was kinda jokingly. I mean I was silly like that. But also I didn’t want Angel to think she was carrying the weight of something. I mean I already was, we don’t need Angel to be too! I also wondered what Mika thought of all this. This was quite strange. ”Angel Dayes, you are NOT leaving until you tell us what’s wrong. Truthfully! I added. Why are you like this? I thought to myself. I mean, they do say curiously killed the cat. But why did I put it on myself to make everyone happy. What made me think that everyone had to be happy? I caught glance of my face in the mirror, it was filled with deep regret and sadness and all of my pressure. I quickly shifted my face. ”So Miss. Angel Dayes, what?” I asked.
