One thing about Alex is that no matter what anyone have said to him, he'd always listen even though he sometimes doesn't even look like he's listening to a single words uttered. Alex is somehow relief that the girl is comfortable around him. He had half expected her to left him after he had glared at her for bumping into him earlier. Alex's glad that was settled.

The girl talks about her family now, "I never knew her or my father, but my grandfather was able to track my mother down through records and such. I should clarify, he’s not really my grandfather."

Alex simply watch her speak like a darn statue. "'S fine." He mutter, enough for the girl to hear. Believe me when i said, he doesn't care if he stares too much or too little. All he knew is that it's more proper to look at someone who's speaking.

"My mother." Alex now speak, his face soften as his mind drift to the memories of both of her parent. "She's really kind. Taught me a thing or two about constellation on her free time." He say, almost softly, a stark contrast of how he usually is.

"It feels impolite not to introduce myself- i realised." He added, "I'm Alex. Alex Kavanagh. What about you?"

He had learn how to filter his accents, or simply change his accent since his friends back home once complained about how thick his Scouse accent usually is that it's hard to even hear if it's English or another different language. "We better not talk much in here." He mutter as his wander around the library again.

" The lesson of history is that no one learns. "

Polly’s eyes darted around the room anxiously. Her leg started to shake again.

“I’m Polly Inkling,” she tried to whisper. Then she held her breath, not wanting to get kicked out for making too much noise.

She wondered if the boy, Alex, wanted to talk elsewhere or if he wanted her to leave him in peace now. Well, it had been nice not feeling quite so lost and alone.

Scooting her chair out with a faint squeak, Polly stood up. “Do you have any idea where I could find a book about puffskeins here?”

She tightened her tie, then loosened it. Her robes still squeezed her shoulders uncomfortably. She smiled crookedly, more of a shy smirk. Never having had a friend before, she hardly understood the term.

Alex probably had plenty of friends, she decided. He seemed quiet and not especially expressive. She admired that. Polly herself wasn’t very emotional, but when she was it showed on her face clearly.

It was difficult to tell if Alex was even listening, but he sure was staring. Polly avoided eye contact at all costs in general, opting instead to glance at people when they weren’t looking or to peer at people out of the corner of her eye.

The time sure fly faster when one is enjoying their time or moment. Alex watch Polly stood up, her chair makes a soft creak sound , echo around the space for a brief moment. Alex gather his stuff in his hand, composed as ever before he stands up slowly, "Do you have any idea where I could find a book about puffskeins here?” Polly asked before Alex turn to her again.

"If i could take a wild guess, it'd be in the magical creatures section. I'm not a librarian myself." Alex whisper again as his eyes dart around the shelves of book.

If someone ask, does Alex have many friends, he'd absolutely say no. The fact that he could count the amount of friends he currently have with his fingers is almost depressing. His father, Joseph Kavanagh is what people say as an open guy. Cheery, all smiles with a small wrinkle at the edge of his eyes. He has always told Alex to be himself no matter but he doubt he could do that for a long time.

"It's getting late. Perhaps i could help you another time." Alex ask, his hand extend just enough, gesturing for Polly to walk first before him.

He may not be the brightest in the room- Merlin, he's far from it but he always carry this quiet, gentle energy with him everywhere he goes. He never want to make anyone uncomfortable whenever he's around, that's just how he is.
