Cecilia could not have been more boisterous. To others maybe. Who knows what they could think of her. A lass who has nothing to do and a person with reputation in detention. Angel keeping her cool just smiled to Cecilia. Turning her head and keeping hands behind her back leaned and smiled slyly.

"A quidditch captain and a representative of our house too. Yes Miss. Merrick I am quite cross! A person like you would've known better yes?" she was rather surprisingly reserved but passive not sure about aggressive, again all she can do is be patient

Angel had the tendency to come across as blunt. With Cecilia's remarks about her looks and how she looked a bit too serious. Her attention was placed towards Leo. Another one down in a sinking ship. How many more will come because if it comes down to the whole Hogwarts on being apprehended Headmaster would have to do more than just sit there and act like everything is all chipper. This will not end well and for Angel you would not need to be a seer to even know that. Cecilia was talking a bunch when most would keep their heads low and sulk in silence. Feeling the eyes of anyone here she believed it was best for her to lay low.

"Cecilia, I believe what is best right now is to have a moment of silence. It would do you good and certainly will benefit me and others. Unfortunately not everyone shares your enthusiasm and most never will." she sighed with a tsk from disappointment

Dido was inside and another one of her dear friends had to go inside too. Just great! At this point forward anyone who comes in here was doing detention for ridiculous reasons. Shaking her head and rubbing her temples. This was getting bad and her perspective was set once she saw Sebastien enter too. That boy from the train? Regonized him in a instant and to be honest she had no clue on why he would be here. Hearing Cecilia's banter on the whole situation saying it stinks. Serves some right and better to learn lessons now than later. Pairs were settled some disoriented and probably furious inside. Nodding her head she only understands that if we want to get things done we need to do stuff ordered. Fixing her hair from getting in the way. Everyone here had ten more hours to go. Time to get to business.

Clasping her hands together slightly she tapped Cecilia's back

"So! With that let's start with the grounds. We can tend to there and start making it look presentable."

Unsure if Cecilia even heard her she moved towards the grounds not far from her partner. Angel was if the most odd one. Remaining calm in a situation like this. However she did not want to be so stoic, so she smiled a bit. At least it remained bright and cherry but it strayed far from what the scene had displayed.

"Well Cecilia! I think you should start heading over here now! Wouldn't want to be so tempermental now! Won't help either me or you." she said with a swiss in her tone

Angel humming along, this reminded her of what she always did back home when she tended the gardens. Her bright locket in her neck, pheraps she could find some jolly in times of bittersweet. This she can nod to in approval.

Reyna wouldn't say she was a goody two shoes. While she liked to follow the rules, there were particular instances, such as today, when she ended up in detention. It hadn't even been something that bad. She had recreated a few permission slips rolled 1d20: 16 for some eager first years, knowing that the likelihood of being caught was very slim.
Except some little rascal had snitched. Maybe it was someone who held a grudge on Reyna. Who would that be? She was practically nice to everyone. Or maybe she'd been so careless, due to the fact that she barely slept anymore, that she'd gotten caught. Her past 6 months had not been the prime of her life. From sleepless nights, to her grandfather dying, to the millions of terrible thoughts she had been thinking, it would have been easy for her to make a mistake.
The old her wouldn't have done that. She sighed but accepted her fate that she was here. Did she have anything better to do on a Saturday? Probably. But either way she didn't care. There was always an endless stack of homework waiting, a box of tissues for her to cry on and the motivation that Reyna never seemed to have.
So here she was, attempting to pay attention to Headmaster Lear's speech about this detention. They were supposed to gather in pairs and clean up the grounds. Fantastic. Looking at the state of it at the moment, this could take all the way until sunset... or longer.
Reyna didn't bother looking for her friends. She wasn't sure any of them would have ended up at this detention, though there seemed to be a ton of people here. She glanced over at the girl who didn't seem to have a pair standing beside her. The girl looked much younger than her with pretty brown, olive skin and the most beautiful slate-green eyes that Reyna had ever seen. She didn't exactly look like someone who belonging in this detention. And neither did Reyna. Gathering her courage, she took a deep breath and asked, "Hi, I'm Reyna! Would you like to complete this detention with me?" she paused, "God, there seems to be a lot of people... I don't think this is usual?"
Reyna furrowed her eyebrows as she watched more and more and more and more people slide in. She had never thought that there were this many trouble-makers at this school. Or maybe everyone had gotten unlucky today and ended up in this detention like her.
Whatever it is, it would make out to be one interesting day. Some might call it very unlucky.

June meant that Andrea's school year was about to end, and so far, as a first year, she had no big problems with her academics. Yet ironically, she found herself in detention.

She had always been an obedient girl, abiding by rules and observing well manners, presenting herself as a witch who clearly came from a prestigious family. The Woodsburns had obtained their riches through clever businesses. Andrea was also one of the smartest in her classes, acing tests and raising her hand during lectures.

So why shouldn't she use those traits to her advantage?

From the characteristics she had inherited from her family with generations of wealth, Andrea thought that it would be smart to help other students with their studies in exchange for extra cash. Despite being wealthy, Andrea stayed humble and only asked her parents to give her a suitable amount to spend for her year. But she was just a child, and no child is immune to sweets and other treats that could be bought for a few more coins.

Andrea didn't mean tutoring those struggling students after classes. No way! She mused. She doesn't have enough time to accommodate every student who needed her help. She meant giving them the specific answers for each item on their tests. Andrea and her classmates usually took tests before other first years, which meant they had the answers first. So, with the genius business idea she had, Andrea quickly started to offer her help to the first years who usually took their tests after she had.

Eventually—through some students who told on her—the professors caught on and called her out.

Andrea was devastated, to say the least. Alongside a few other students, Andrea ended up in detention at the grounds. It was quite dark, as if it were about to rain. With an exhausted sigh, Andrea looked towards the group of students gathered around her, seeing if she could find a partner or two to spend detention with.

@Pyxis Hellebore

Kaito was no stranger to detention. He'd made a name for himself by falling asleep in class and sneaking out after hours for some fresh air and alone time. Recently, he'd even been skipping out on some classes too but eventually reeled himself back in from that. He felt lost, but not that lost. Still, having to pick up some work in the evenings or weekends because he slacked off somewhere else had become the norm for him after what would soon be three years at school. Despite that, he really was trying to be better. It was the definition of better that he was still working on.

And that definition surely did not include getting sent to the figurative brig for delivering occult services to his classmates. What even was occult in a school for witchcraft and wizardry? He'd had no idea what even happened. One second, he was accepting a flyer for some muggle-born adjacent gathering nearby this very spot at the wardline and the next, he was roped into playing with what he recalled to be a ouija board. That was the ironic bit, seeing as they could just... talk to the ghosts in the castle without the use of spirit board messaging. Anyways, he was quite confused but joined in out of desire to connect more with his classmates. But in the end, his lethargy was what got him caught. At the sight of authority, the others sprinted and lost as ever, he was the one to take the blame for organizing the shindig.

Clearing old branches wasn't the worst part of this whole thing. His eyes were probably still crusted shut and he struggled to keep them open while approaching a crowded section of the untamed grounds. Being up this early was a travesty and it made him regret wanting to connect with anyone at all. However, had he made friends early on, Kaito would not be stranding at the edge of the group looking awkwardly for someone he knew. There was only one third year here and there were no words ever shared between them. When headmaster mentioned pairing up, he withheld a deep groan. This had to be a record for his worst detention yet.

But he didn't mind mindless work. Having to do it for ten hours straight was an alarming idea, but he was sure the headmaster was exaggerating some part of that directive. He pulled on the provided gloves and got to work with the shears, letting his mind drift off to better pastures and forgetting about the idea of partnership for now.

Hana snuck into the Forbidden Forest. The. Forbidden. Forest. In what world did she think sneaking in there is a good idea, it's literally called Forbidden. She probably thought about discovering new magical creatures and befriending them. And of course, she got caught. When she got caught, she's not even ashamed, she just shrugged and muttered, "Mm. Predictable. Hello?? What are you doing, Hana??

She is now skipping towards the grounds, preparing to go to detention as if she's going to Disneyland, and she saw a group of people. Oh. There's more people Oh? Oh? Don't tell me Hana is disappointed that she's not the only one in trouble. Then she saw the familiar old man - Headmaster Lear, and he's wearing sunglasses, sitting down.

Hana looked at the group and said, " Hi, I'm Hana, Hana Suzuki. Soo, what did you all do to be here, I tried and snuck into the Forbidden Forest. You guys probably didn't do something that bad right? `And, does anyone want to pair up with me and clear the debris and stack the useless things? It would be fun... hopefully, I suppose. This girl needs help urgently, why is she still proud about sneaking in.

Robin silently vowed to leave this part of the Hogwarts experience out of his homeward letters. Some would claim that they were judged unfairly, others were quiet, but not all of them lack the courage to speak up—they just know they're guilty. Robin, being the "smarty-pants" and "teacher's pet" of most classes, was one of these not-so-innocent but definitely unfortunate souls that got caught rightfully and sentenced to detention.

This year, Robin accomplished so many personal milestones and encountered unexpected people and events, both enriching and malign. Just to list out a handful: he got to know someone other than Noah he could call a best friend, he tried out dueling, he was tortured both emotionally and physically by a bitter rivalry and flying class among other things, and he started a research club. One of the items on that list, dueling, had become a newfound passion of the young Ravenclaw. He tried out a few unofficial matches and signed up for his House's official team, though he's still on the waitlist. Robin was always easily enthralled by his new hobbies, and so came a rush of motivation. However, as he grew more comfortable proposing duels to strangers or not-so-close acquaintances, the semester also neared its end. This meant that the majority of students were either taking tests or catching up on homework, not many had the time to duel or moderate for a random first-year.

That's when the inciting incident for Robin's first and hopefully last detention occurred. He talked his childhood friend Noah into dueling him in private, outdoors, near the edge of the Hogwarts grounds so that nobody would find them. As you can see, somebody found them. The unauthorized duel was discovered by another Hufflepuff student, his friend's roommate who followed him out of the dorm, since the boy found Noah waking up that early "strange and concerning". The Hufflepuff couldn't stand rule-breakers, and Robin didn't beg for his life. He is now standing not far away from where the boys dueled, but with a different purpose. Clearing branches and reorganizing boundary markers for ten hours.

Despite the increasing temperature, the boy still wore long pants to the gathering. They were doing manual labor near the woods, after all. Direct contact with stinging organisms whether plant or animal, magical or mundane would be unideal. He did make sure to choose a thinner one though, work pants designed for summer in the woodlands. Forced to become a seasoned hiker by his mother, Robin had clothes geared towards these types of physical activities stored away in his trunk. He preferred not to use them at all, but these pants sure came in handy.

An almost physical shiver ran along Robin's body as the Headmaster finished listing out instructions and warnings. Feels like . . . cold wind? The Scottish born-and-raised eleven-year-old dismissed his suspicions by attributing them to the predictably unpredictable weather of his home country. It was cloudy after all, anything could come out of those hefty celestial fortresses.

Robin watched as students paired up and started working under Headmaster Lear's watchful gaze. Some pairs were more awkward than the others, probably didn't know each other before this. Robin gulped nervously. He didn't want to encounter a familiar face in this situation. Though he had his own justifications, the end result of being in detention was still a bit damaging to his perfectionist pride. To put it plainly, he felt quite embarrassed.

With the goal of evading every acquaintance present, Robin looked around carefully for other lone laborers. Noah, his co-conspirator, sadly wasn't an option as the roommate who reported them was also in this batch of "detention degenerates" . . . the two Hufflepuffs paired up immediately. The poor boy was caught up in some other mess Robin wasn't aware of, and quite frankly he didn't care enough to ask.

After lifting his gaze from the pair, Robin set his eyes on a dark haired girl whose equally dark eyes wandered just as much as his. He blinked, took a deep breath and walked towards the unfamiliar face.

"Hallo, did you find a partner yet?" He asked, still a couple steps away. The distance where withdrawal wouldn't be as awkward, but close enough for the invitation to appear more genuine. As if his mouth came loose, Robin added without thinking much: "I uh . . . haven't."

That was painfully obvious, he certainly didn't need to spell it out. Why else would he ask? Never mind that slip of the tongue, Robin thought, her response was more important. Robin didn't directly meet her eyes as usual, but he observed her face and gestures for any verbal or non-verbal reaction.

During his year at Hogwarts, Camille had broken the rules on the regular: illicit trips to Hogsmeade (several times), sneaking down to the basements after hours to demand something edible, and skipping flying classes since the first week, to name a few. Not once had Camille suffered any institutional consequence for his actions until now, and not for what you would have expected. Camille knew that it had been a mistake to take anything the English labeled as “authentic Italian espresso” at face value. Yet, in a lapse of judgement, he’d ordered a cup and brought it with him on the walk back from another visit to the Wizarding village.

It had been bitter, disgustingly cheap, an insult to him and to Italians everywhere. With nothing more appropriate to do than dispose of it, Camille had carelessly poured the espresso onto the grounds, not noticing that a nearby pygmy puff had appeared, gratefully devouring the remnants as though Camille had arrived bearing divine gifts. Once the caffeine hit, the fluffy beast went on a rampage, jumping and running on everything, including him. It would have been entertaining to witness if a staff member had not materialised within seconds to lecture him on animal abuse and proceeded to hand out detention. Apparently, it was a crime to feed the pygmy puffs espresso, which, for the record, had not been his intention. Not only had it appeared out of nowhere, but how on earth should he have known that? Care of Magical Creatures wasn’t even part of the first-year curriculum.

Naturally, Camille had argued, calling out the institution's failure and hypocrisy. Surely, when he was demanding justice for unfair treatment, not a single soul in authority gave a damn, but accidentally feeding a pygmy puff espresso was, out of all things, worthy of their attention? The boy had been livid, barely contained behind the constraint of decorum. His well-chosen words had not been received well. Listing all the other occasions on which he’d snuck out to Hogsmeade without getting caught—thereby actually breaking the rules and arguably warranting detention, had they not simply been too blind to notice what was happening in plain sight—probably didn’t help his cause. Hence, he had been summoned to the grounds for detention at this criminal hour. For what little consolation it offered, when he arrived, it seemed like half of his year had been sentenced to detention, and he wondered if their offences were even half as ridiculous as his own.

The sun had barely risen but he sported a pair of designer sunglasses anyway, to hide the fact that he was here among scum. Seeing the incompetent Headmaster in his ridiculous armor and beachwear only made the whole ordeal marginally worse. Since the man wasn’t actually teaching anything, Camille rarely encountered him. Good riddance. Rest assured, however, that his lasting grudge over unanswered letters had not been forgotten. The terms and conditions of this detention only deepened his contempt. Cleaning until sunset? The absurdity of it all settled into a deeply, personally insulted scowl. The prospect of shovel and owlery duty if they didn’t follow the Headmaster’s command was a personal fear of his, remembering with vivid detail the filth on the floor that one time when he’d sent an owl order. The mere memory made him nauseous, perhaps the only reason that Camille didn’t immediately call for an outrage. Grabbing a pair of gloves with two pinched fingers, imagining what grimy hands had touched them before him, he set about his tasks.

Moving towards the wardline, his lips curled in disgust as he slowly tried to tread his fingers through the glove without coming into contact with something unexpectedly wet.

“Until sunrise— is this even legal?” He muttered, not expecting a response other than collective agreement.

In the heat of despair, he hadn’t registered that the girl he’d been assigned to pair with was none other than that awful Slytherin girl he had the utmost displeasure of running into on the regular. The disdain was entirely mutual. For all her faults, she seemed mindnumbingly prim and proper in her presentation, which only made her presence more unexpected among the detention crowd.

“Ugh, you again,” he said with a haughty huff. “What did you do this time, call out a professor for incompetence mid-lesson? Shocker.”

The time had come to face the consequences of his actions. After solving the strange case at Hogsmeade's Post Office, Richard thought he has left the premises discreetly, but no, an older student had to notice him, openly remarking that he had no business being there, which had the effect of attracting one of the school's Prefects like a bee would be attracted to honey.

Richard grimaced. He'd gotten a real, long dressing down from his parents. It was obvious he'd probably try to go to Hogsmeade again in the future... but it certainly wouldn't be with the carefree and naive attitude of that first time.

He shuffled across the parc, quickly noticing the crowd that had gathered there, with the Headmaster Lear at the head of the group. Richard raised his eyebrows in surprise : was it normal to have so many students here ? His surprise grew even greater when, as he approached, he recognized faces he would never have imagined could conceal delinquent minds.

He joined the assembly as the Headmaster began explaining their obligations. Richard noticed the dark clouds above them, which didn't hold great promises. The Slytherin decided to head towards the tracks, running a hand in his hair. From where he was, he could see the debris scattered here and there. This was going to take them forever. Richard let out a frank and loud sigh while trying to avoid tripping on branches, rocks he couldn't really see because of the dark clouds.

Fawkes Chaos. A person many including herself would consider to be a model student. She had perfect grades, always did her homework on time and from what most thought she hadn't broken any rules ever.

The fact she landed up in detention wasn't for the reason she thought. She had been regularly breaking curfew to go to the Astronomy tower but she wasn't ever caught. No. The reason she was in detention right now was because of forgery.

It was nearing the end of term and Fawkes was getting restless. She was excited to be going home considering the amount of events she had in the summer. That restlessness had made her more...chaotic than usual. True to her name, she had decided on chaos for the day and figured it was a good idea to forge a hogsmade permission slip. Unfortunately for her it seemed like there had been a rumour of an increased number of people with fake permission slips around the school and she had been caught before she had the chance to even use her slip.

She had dragged herself out of bed in the early hours of the morning. She was no stranger to waking up early since many astronomical events tended to happen in the early mornings. She walked onto the grounds rather surprised by the large amount of students present. It was as if the school had simultaneously decided on chaos in the last few days of the school year. Well she wasn't complaining. Easier to blend in the more people there are.

She looked up noticing the clouds. She hoped it wouldn't rain today. Having to work till sunset was already bad enough but having to do it in the rain? That would be a nightmare. It was peculiar seeing their headmaster sit in a lawn chair with sunglasses and a drink. She wondered what was the point of the sunglasses if it was going to rain but then again she knew better than to question why the headmaster did such things.

She looked around for someone to work with. She noticed a few familiar faces but was hesitant to ask anyone particularly. Working in pairs is what was instructed after all so she began to wander in the group.

Looking for a pair/Pairing with Hana :Action
Jada was up at 5.30, careful not to wake Tes. This is so unfair! she thought as she yanked an ugly mustard sweater over her shirt. Students sneak out all the time, especially the first years. On went one sock, I don't even go to Hogsmeade that often, unlike some others. followed by the next, Why did I have to get caught of all people? She jammed her feet into a pair of old sneakers before heading out to the grounds.

Scowling as she walked, she couldn't believe she'd gotten detention. She could take care of herself and first years shouldn't be banned from Hogsmeade anyway. She'd even had a signed permission slip. Yes, of course it had been forged, but it should still count as something, right? Some sort of proof that it had been a mistake, that someone else had tricked her into thinking it was okay. Nevertheless, it wouldn't change anything now. Now, she was to shovel dirt at the break of dawn with more than thirty strangers.

The headmaster had already arrived and was seated, most unfittingly, in a lawn chair. Must be fun for him, watching us suffer like this. Lots of students were already milling around, talking to each other. Most were in pairs. Was she supposed to be paired up as well? Oh well, she walked towards a larger group that had formed.

One of the girls was introducing herself; "Hi, I'm Hana, Hana Suzuki. Soo, what did you all do to be here, I tried and snuck into the Forbidden Forest. You guys probably didn't do something that bad right? And, does anyone want to pair up with me and clear the debris and stack the useless things? It would be fun... hopefully, I suppose." At least Hana had done something seriously dangerous to be here. Jada rolled her eyes, loudly, before adding her own say. "Jada Blake, first year, got caught sneaking into Hogsmeade." A dramatic sigh followed, "I'll be your pair if you like. Looks like it'll be a long morning..."
