Ira was excited for the first day at school. She was totally clueless up until the last moment when she checked her schedule and found Charms to be her first class. She couldnt sleep the whole night and thus woke up late the next day.
"Wait what? I am already so late!" and she hurried out with her robes on, her Wand in her mouth and half tying her hair with one hand and the books on the other. The portraits gave her weird looks and judgemental glances and whispered among themselves as she ran past them.
"Dammit. The class is on Third floor!" she exclaimed in frustration as she was totally lost and had completely forgotten all the routes. She didnt approach anyone as she was in a hurry.
Ira finally reached the class and after a bit of anticipation entered. She was kind of nervous as the other students looked at her while she tried to find a seat. Finally, she found her friend @Anne Brown and let out a sigh of relief. She smiled at her awkwardly hoping her friend had not judged her wrong but she knew she completely deserves it. Who has ever come to the class late on their very first day? Perhaps only Ira Ray.
She heard that the first lesson was on Dancing feet spells and Mending charm.
"Aww come on i was hoping to have something on duelling perhaps" she pouted out of boredom and gave the huge book a look of disgust as she opened the required page and tried to comprehend whatever was written in there. The Wand movements seemed to be quite complicated but she knew she could do it.
"Tarantulla? No...what was it again? T-Tarantallegra!" and she blundered. The pronunciation was fundamentally wrong. A bolt of sparks was shot from her Wand, thankfully nobody got hurt. She was so confused so she checked on her friend.
"Hey Ann, how are you doing? I cant master the spell at all...it seems easy but my pronounciation is no where near perfect...what the hell dude!"

@Ira Ray

Anne was already waiting in class when Ira came in. Anne found it funny how she was actually late on the first day. But maybe she had just overslept. "Hey Ira! We are practicing Tarantallegra or something like that." Said Anne checking her book.

"Yeah I also wanted something more exiting. They probably keep duelling charms last. Or maybe for next year. We gotta wait and see if in Defense against the dark arts they actually teach us something a bit more exiting. But it's still kinda funny how it makes people uncontrolled."

Anne tried it and just a little light came out of her wand. "Isn't it 'tair-an-tuh-RON-ruh' how you pronounce it? Oooooh nevermind it's tair-an-tuh-LEG-ruh!" Finally something sprouted out of her wand but it just hit another desk. "I guess I'm progressing. If we actually get hold of it who should we try it on?" Anne continued mischievously.

"The pronunciation is just pain! But nothing compares it to the wand movement. We should practice it. But do people actually use it often on battles? I mean, there should certainly be better charms instead of just making people dance! They can dance just fine by themselves! Just invite them to some party or something." Anne said jokingly while she was trying to get the right movement.

"I know right? Like what does this spells even do in real fights? I guess it will come handy when I prank my brother with this. I would have told you the same thing with your older brother but unfortunately magic is not allowed outside the magical world. Sorry, Ann."

Ira gave another shot at casting the spell. The book said she needs to have a violet light for the spell, yet the light just came out yellow or white shooting everywhere. She was afraid the teacher might get upset or take away her house points.

"Ughhh... why does it not work?!" she exclaimed in frustration.
She glanced over her shoulder to check up on Ann to see that she was actually making progress and was referring to the book. Ira simply could not figure out what the hell the book said. Too much theory complicates everything, thats what she believes.

"Wow Ann you are doing such a good job.
"I think we should keep that on hold for a while now. You never know what weirdos we might come across.
" she grinned mischievously as if she had a plan going on.

"Well it would funny when you do a dancing feet spells on a criminal who is trying to run away from you. Can you imagine your opponent trying to defeat you or something through bloody means and all you do is dancing feet spells, then you capture them? Sounds humiliating to me. Haha!" she said absolutely deviously and imagined a knight dancing uncontrollably while his enemies tie him up and chuckled, completely forgetting that she was trying to get the wand movement and pronunciation of the spell right. "Damn it! I wanted to do something! That rule is so stupid!" Anne said angrily

"You'll get better, don't worry" Anne told her. "Ri, you just gotta focus on it."

Anne kept on trying to get the charm correctly. She was even able to get the correct wand movement once but didn't really pronounce the charm in a good way. A few times she was able to manage it but then she did it wrong all over again.

"That's what I told you! it would be so funny to try it upon someone here! Just image how it would look."

As Ira continued to talk Anne laughed at the thought catching a criminal with that charm. "That criminal would be so ashamed. They're gonna fail in the most humiliating way possible!"

As she continued practicing Anne noticed she had already been here some good amount of time. "Wait, when does this class finish? I mean, it seems super long to me. Do the professors tell us or do we just leave right through the front door towards our next class? I anyways think we've got potions class next. Sounds too complicated. Why do wizards have to brew stuff if they could just make it out of thin air? Or can they?

"te-RON-te-LEG-ra!" Ira casted the spell finally after what seemed like 1000 years of relentless suffering. A light of purple flare ignited from the tip of her wand shooting at the book in front of her.

"Hey Ann look I did it! she exclaimed in great joy.
"Ofc it would be funny and you know what would be even funnier? Maybe trying it on the professor! Haha, imagine that scene; it would be quite a bit of an entertainment to look at! But you know I dont want us to be expelled on our very first day.

I might try this one when I finally become an Auror. I would make history with this. Headlines: The First Ever Auror Ira Ray Creating History By Humiliating An Azkaban Prisoner With A First Year Charm
" She chuckled mischievously.

Ira was just thinking about the agonising pain of doing the spell again and again as Ann asked her about when the class ends.
"Isnt this class supposed to be 45 minutes? I think 40 minutes have already passed. Lets wait for the bell to ring. Oh right we have potions next.
I think the system is too complicated because we have to change classrooms every single period but you know in one way its also fun. I mean you get to see more of the castle's interior and discover new people, portraits, the infrastructure of the school, etc.
Who knows maybe we might come across some kind of secret one day?
