The Hogwarts Express leaves the King's Cross station as soon as the clock hit 11.00 AM and Alex found himself already missing both of his loving parents. His trunk were already taken to the luggage racks before and he were lost, as most students start to move around, looking for a compartment to settle in.

The train hum in the background as Alex move further inside, searching for an empty seats or compartment he could settle in. Most of the compartment is filled with bunch of students chattering around themselves. "Isn't there any empty-" he sigh to himself before he pass by an empty compartment. 'Absolutely perfect' he thought to himself.

He quickly settles inside the compartment, he sits by the window and looking outside as some other students start to enter inside the compartment he sat in. The scenery outside is absolutely beautiful that it catches his eyes. Alex look around the place, seeing most of the students is quiet. He only assume that they're, too, first year or perhaps they just didn't want to talk. That's alright, he thought. He likes the quietness in the compartment if he's being honest.

The quiet drags on until he hears the sound of the trolley moving outside, the witch asks "Anything from the trolley, dear?" as she approach their compartment. Alex slowly rose from where he sit on and walks to the door, "Yes please." he says as he takes out his small purse. "Can i have one chocolate frog and pumpkin pasties, thank you." He says before handing the coin to the witch before glancing back at the new faces behind him, "You guys don't want anything?"

The week was full of preparation, buying supplies needed from off the list from the owl, and of course, excitement for the days ahead at Hogwarts. The day was the most busy out of the week, from trying to find the last of supplies and finding a Platform that was said not to exist, but it all faded faded like a watercolour blur as soon as Elara stepped foot onto the train headed to Hogwarts.

She was later than all the other students who will or is attending Hogwarts. She had some trouble finding the perfect wand for herself in Ollivanders.

She could swear that she looked everywhere for a seat on the train, she didn't really, but after looking at the first row and the second row and the third row and the fourth one, she found the compartments and seats all taken.

At last, she just gave up on finding one free compartment, deciding to just ask one if she could sit with them though she doubted they would let her sit. Still, it was worth a try rather than spending the entire train ride to Hogwarts finding a seat.

Elara hesitant walked up to one compartment. It still seemed to have seats left for seating. After the witch left from the compartment's opening without giving any of the students anything, since they didn't buy anything, Elara aproached.

"Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here?" Her voice didn't give away anything of what she was actually feeling—nervous and hesitant. It masked her emotions perfectly.

Just as Alex sit back on the window seat, a student, a girl, speak to him. To him? His brows furrowed ever so slightly before he turn his head. "Excuse me, do you mind if i sit here?" The girl ask. He blink as a beat pass. "Of course." He said simply, holding the chocolate frog and pumpkin pasties in his hands. Alex have absolutely no problem anyone sitting beside him, talking to him even. He then continue to stare out the window as he eat the pumpkin pasties in peace.

"What is your name?" Alex ask, turning to the girl as he finish his chocolate, tuck the empty box in his pocket so he can throw it out later. A beat pass before he speak again, "If you don't mind me asking." He's starting to regret his action as he thought he sounded too forward and pressuring to the girl.

He turn to the window for a brief second, The bridge to the castle is in sight and a thought form in his head. "I heard they have a floating candles there though i still couldn't wrap my mind around how those platform earlier actually work." Alex speak almost like speaking to himself before turning back to the girl. "It's bizarre, isn't it? Magic."

"Bye mom! Yes yes i will be good! Oof-" Ira bid her goodbyes to her family as she struggled to keep her trunk, goods and robes in position.
"These damn books!" she exclaimed as her trunk that contained the books flew open and all the books scattered on the floor. She was pretty late to board the train already that her tens of thousands of family members were biding her goodbye and now this! She was so furious and excited that adrenaline rushed through her as she hurriedly tucked the books in the trunk and put it shut.
She was over the top excited to finally get into Hogwarts, her dream school. Her family always discussed about their times at the school, the scopes of education, the pride they took in their lineage and how much was expected from her because she was the first born. Ira also wants to set a good example for her little brother. She also wants to create a legacy on her own name, not just because she was a Ray.

Ira nervously inspected the compartments wishing to find an empty one. At last when she was on the verge of giving up as almost all the compartments were full, she came across the least occupied one where two people seemed to be having a conversation. Ira was never too shy to approach people but for some reason, today she was too nervous. She had tons of friends and is very talkative, sometimes making her seem very "un-lady like". She has a history of people finding her intimidating because of her shott temper and stubborn nature. But this wasnt the time for that, she has to sit somewhere at least. At last, she mastered up the courage to approach them, opening the compartment door... They can be friends right?

"Excuse me...May I sit with you guys? I dont seem to find an empty compartment...is it ok if i sit here?" she hesitantly asked as she saw a girl with bangs and gorgeous dark black hair and a boy with blue eyes and brown hair, in the middle of a conversation.

The last few weeks had been nothing short of amazing. Discovering that an entire hidden world exists and more importantly that you yourself are part of it is not a particularly easy feat. But today- it's the day.

Reina bids farewell to her parents. She will surely miss them but saying it out loud feels too... Much at the moment. There's an exchange of goodbyes and hugs and quick 'all the best's. Her little brother pulls her arm. Surely the little gremlin won't make it too hard... He did.

Stepping onto the train, it's a flurry of excitement and nerves. Keep your head straight and posture relaxed. No one will approach you. That's what Reina told herself atleast. The train was... Loud and slightly chaotic. It was the kind of place she avoided at all costs. There was laughter and chatter echoing around. She dreadingly realised under no circumstances would a compartment be empty. She passed a few- everyone seemed to belong, unlike her. She was so focused on the surroundings though that she bumped into a girl who was literally in front of her.

"Sorry" She muttered instinctively, while catching herself as the girl's trunk clattered down with a dull thud. Great. Just what I needed right now. She was literally in front of you. How did you not see her? Just stay calm and respectful. She helps the other girl heave up her trunk and the odd items that happend to slip out. " Sorry. I was... looking for a compartment." She offers a slight smile she manages to muster.

Just when Alex were just enjoying the scenery outside the window, another few students enter the compartment with their trunks in hand. Alex doesn't bother turn his head at first but then a voice- a girl, speak which he assume it to him. "Yes, of course. It's empty." he say with a curt nod as he watch them place their trunk on the rail above their heads. Perhaps the luggage racks is already full, he thought.

Alex had safely tuck a small book inside of his robe from the platform earlier so he can read when he's bored. He takes out the book gently and brush an imaginary dust from the cover before he starts to read quietly by himself. He likes to read almost anywhere he goes that his parents sometimes ask him to social more than drowning in thousands of written words. Mind you, his parents doesn't like to force him into doing anything he doesn't like but for the sake of his social life.

The lighting, the low chatters of the compartment and the overall vibe is the best for reading, he thought to himself again because that's his way to entertain himself. A simple thing can make his day most of the times. He look up from his book, glancing around the students and the wide window beside him, "The weather is really nice today." He mutter to no one in particular. Oh Alex.

Ira wasn't paying much attention to her trunk as she was already preoccupied with the thoughts of Hogwarts, goodbyes to her family and worries of being late, when a girl appeared before her saying sorry.
"It isnt your fault. Haha, I should have been more careful..." she awkwardly smiled at her with embarrasment filled her with even more frustration.
"Umm....I am looking for a compartment to sit, it seems like all of them are full...would you like to find one with me if you havnt already ofc?" Ira asked after putting the books in her trunk and trying not to make eye contact. Of course she wouldn't be surprised to get blatantly rejected still she tried to patch up.
"What a nice way to have a first impression Ira! Keep this up and you will end up a loner!" she thought to herself, struggling to carry the heavy trunk.

Ira finally found the least occupied one and thankfully the students sitting there welcomed her. Ira sat opposite to the boy after placing her trunk on the racks.

She was fidgeting for a while, pretending to look out of the window while brain storming the past events.
"Wait what do i do now? Its such an awkward silence... Should i say something? Should i ask about their thoughts on Hogwarts? What should i say???" she thought as the green fields ran past her and the winds gently caressed her face.

She was lost in her thoughts only then she heard the boy saying something about the weather with a book in his hands. "Oh...yes the weather is really nice. By the way, what are you reading? she asked trying her best to start a conversation and ease the atmosphere.

"Oh right I should introduce myself first...I am Ira Ray, the eldest daughter of my family. I am from the family of some phenomenal witches and wizards. What about you guys?"

The question from one of the girl made Alex pause for a brief moment before he turn to the girl who spoke to him. He had half expected any of them to actually heard him. "A muggle book, my dad bought it for me." He say, raising the book halfway before he gently place it on his lap before adding, "The song of Achilles. I just start this book but i'm loving it so far. What about you? Do you like to read?" Alex ask, the moment someone poke into his interests, his eyes light up almost instantly.

Alex had already close his book and listen to the girl talks, 'so her name is Ira' He thought. "Hello Ira, It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Alex. Alex Kavanagh." He flash a small but genuine smile. "So you're a pure-blood. That's amazing. My mother is a pure blood whereas my father is a muggle born." He explain briefly and both of his parent's face appear in his mind. He looks out of the window briefly, noting that they'll arrive soon enough.

"What house you think you'll be in, Ira?" He ask again, just out of curiosity. Alex's mother, Eliz, had told him about some of the houses history. "My mother had predicted that i'll be in Ravenclaw though i highly doubt that since i'm not as intelligent as she claim me to be." He say to Ira as the castle is closer in sight as they were chattering around.

"Oh that sounds nice. I would love to read it sometimes. I dont know much about muggle books but I like to read about Quidditch and some novels here and there. I also like researching about the ministry and how they tackle with criminals.

Alex Kavanagh, thats a nice name. Would you like me to call you by any nickname or just Alex? My friends call me Riri, or just Ri, you can call me anything you prefer.
" Ira commented as she intently listened to him speak about himself.

"I have not given it much thought. My friends say I might be placed under Slytherin because of my determination and ambitious nature. My family has a history of renowned Gryffindors although my father was a Ravenclaw. I dont mind any personally speaking, but I think I have a special regard for Gryffindor because my grandfather was one.

What do you think Alex, what house are you gonna be in? And considering that you like reading, it seems like you have a knack for knowledge and wisdom. Ravenclaw might actually suit you, your mother might be right you know. Although I dont know much but its just a guess. I have a thin chance for Ravenclaw, I dont like studying much; just reading for knowledge in general not textbooks. Textbooks are a...yuck.
" said Ira as she recalled all those horrible times she had to mug up her textbooks while her mother pursued her to complete her homeworks. Not even her father was able to make her work hard, as they never pressured her, being the apple of their eye as the first born child.
She looked outside the window to find a dark shadow approaching them. The fog cleared and the great figure grew bigger and bigger, Hogwarts her dream school, soon to be her second home.

Reina found a compartment along with the girl she bumped into earlier. She took a seat by the window and watched the fields outside as the landscape transformed. She was also very curious about the fellow students in her compartment. The guy with the book and the girl she bumped into were talking. She wanted to know what book it was but had no way to see the cover with a subtle glance. They seem to be first years too. They definitely don’t know each other. But, they all seem to be from wizard families. She felt unease bubbling in her. What if I’m the only one who is from a ‘muggle’ family .She listened intently as she looked out the window as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. She was used to feeling invisible but hearing everything around.

So their names are Alex and Ira. And song of Achilles. I’ve seen that title in stores. Dunno what it’s about though. They call it a ‘muggle’ book. It’s so different from what I’ve known till now. She finally decides to test the waters by asking “So… you all are from magical families?” A pause. “I didn’t know magic existed till last month or so” She chuckled dryly, hoping that she wasn’t saying too much, too soon.
