D'Spacito,
At Alan's little game, you made quite an impertinent inquiry. My answer to you would be no. Ever since the evening in the common room, I long since abandoned further plans of persuing this particular want. In fact, it was your very inquisition which made me question and reflect on my own intentions -- which I would have actually prefered otherwise.
I can tell that you are not fond of me, but neither am I of you -- no matter how highly you think of yourself. Perhaps the reasons for my sentiments against you would be clarified should you continue this exchange of owls. Nevertheless, you should know that I am a person who honours her word. We made a deal, a favour for an interrogation and I shall see it through but on a few additional conditions. A favour you would still owe me and would be at my disposal regardless of where and when I do require of it's use. After all, I refuse for those four other questions in your enquiry go without anything in return. However, I do see the potential consequence and risk that comes with this knowledge that I may be about to give as there were with the four others you have graciously stolen.
You could have asked for anything else in exchange that day yet you chosen to conduct an interrogation... an interrogation about me. Now, why is that so? Surely there must be a reason. Consider this a precaution (and the second condition), I need to know what you intend to do with the information. Now, you can choose to ignore this owl, but think about it, what am I afraid of? Are you about to pass an opportunity of yet another discovery?
Aurelia.

╚════════════☩══✦══☩═════════════╝Dear Aurelia,
Jesus Christ, have you really been losing sleep over that? Well, good to know that what I say means so damn much to you. Would be a shame, that my words would be meaningless in the ears of such a prestigious pureblood as yourself. I’m honored, truly.
It’s true – I don’t like you, not in the least. Your voice hurts my ears, and your mannerisms are quite annoying. Not to mention that you tried to drug me. Of course, that was after you pitched a knife at my face and broke my nose. For these reasons, I find my reasons for reservation towards you and what your presence entails quite reasonable. However, I can at least acknowledge that you aren’t the absolute worst – you helped Gem out at the ball. Even if he and I aren’t together anymore, I don’t like seeing him hurt. I can’t be sure if you were aware of our relationship at the time, or you were purposely making such an effort for my benefit, but either way, I’m grateful. This is why I’ve chosen to respond to your atrocious letter, rather than burn it.
I recognize that I do owe you a favor. I, too, am a man of my word. It seems a waste, to let myself get away with such answers regarding your personal life, without you reaping some benefits in return. It is for this reason, that I concede to your proposition. However, I reserve the right to decline certain endeavors, as they may go against my personal code of conduct. Please bear this in mind, when formulating one of your horrendous plans.
And, to answer your question, I was asking only for the purpose of personal knowledge. Really, do I look like a snake to you? We all have secrets, Aurelia, goddammit, who am I to tell yours? Do I come across as that desperate for attention? Your presence means nothing to me, as do your insinuations. If I wanted to rat you out, I would have done it by now. Don’t give yourself that much credit.
Sincerely,
I probably haven't collected my allowance yet.

Dear Rafael,
Enmity reeks from this piece of parchment. Holding grudges are you not? I am certain you have the cognisance that the skirmish in the common room cannot put either one of us entirely at fault. Shall I take the pleasure of reminding you the violent actions on your part or is that hot-head of yours clouded with arrogance and stubbornness to succumb to the truth? Upon reading this owl, I would admit that it is honestly quite amusing to know the extent of your contempt towards the very person who was mauled by a bloodthirsty dhampir only to prevent you from suffering the same fate. You must have forgotten about that incident or are just too ignorant to acknowledge the fact that a monster hunter had, in fact, saved your life --- I would say the latter. Now imagine two thin blades of 4 inches stabbed through skin applied with that much of force a large famished canine would. Even though dhampirs are blood-sucking creatures, some could not care less if they took their meal with a chunk of flesh as an appetiser. A simple 'thank you' would be nice.
In fact, I have been losing sleep, now don't flatter yourself just yet. Not only has your seemingly harmless comment reminded me of our deal, but it had evoked memories of the abhorrent scene, my Boggart, that lasted for days, I hope you are proud of your own little accomplishment. Laugh about it all you want, really, my only hope is that when the time comes for you to face your worst fear, your experience too will keep you up awake for days. The answer you seek is the identity of my boggart, I suppose. Unfortunately, the answer is not as simple as a mere noun or two. It would have to come with a small part of my life's story. However, with this worth of a secret put on the bargain, I would say that 'personal knowledge' as an answer is extremely vague and inadequate for such an exchange. Try again, this time, elaborate.
When she finally signed off with a swift stroke of her quill, her dominant hand was aching and her ink well almost empty. Aurelia took a moment to give her hand a thorough shake, releasing the tense muscles, the cause of gripping on to her quill for minutes on end. The ink lined parchment was then rolled up. It was a lecture for the notorious boy, but given his reputation, she doubted that those tediously written paragraphs would deliver its message into his stubborn head unless she implemented something additional. "Claw. D'Spacito." Her index and middle finger curled resembling those talons which she then tapped her fingertips against her own left wrist as she gave the owl the command. "Claw D'Spacito. You got that, Aspen?" She repeated before handing the letter to the bird. An owl was like any other pet and Aurelia had taught the bird a few tricks over the years. Rafael was in for a nasty surprise, a little dhampir bite simulation.
No wonder, both your darling Anastasia and 'sister' Wren were keen on avenging that boy on your behalf, I could not fathom why. As for that girl Lydia who came up to me distressed about her ruined hair at the start of the ball --- and for this, I proudly take credit for her hairdo which I am sure you loved seeing on her. I am not such a condemnable person after all, am I? Speaking of which, I should remove the teal from my hair soon. We had quite a lovely conversation in the changing room ---, I hope she found more deserving company whilst you danced with another. Anyways, who am I to put my nose into your own personal 'secrets'? Unlike you, I respect other's privacy.
I cannot help but find some things you said in your letter concerning and suspect some statements to be lies or rather, I conclude, you are in denial. One, my voice and mannerism. My voice never hurts your ears, nor is my mannerisms any ways socially inappropriate. My presence means something to you, you said so yourself by speculating that I was a veela. Moreover, if you do not like me as you claimed, then why attend my club especially if you aren't adept with a wand. I quote myself, it is a spells, wands, and games club. It might come as a shock, my presence, it irritates you simply because... I am better than you... you cannot get rid of me like the others you have sent running through physical intimidation. Rumours have it all, Rafael. Admit it, you cannot help feeling drawn to my visage as you are drawn to Lydia's -- me neither, Lydia is absolutely beautiful. You do realise that you cannot keep the truth away from her any longer.
Lydia is such an innocent child, what would she do if she found out of your violent escapades despite how ever-loyal she is. Perhaps, whatever happened at the ball, she already has. You have issues, you know that yourself. Let me take a guess... there is one particular thing or event that that is the cause of your internal turmoil, one that is or was out of your control. Anger and violence is the only way you feel can sate and suppress it all, yet no matter what you do, it is like a curse, a beast that is a part of you. Yet you like its existence and power that comes with it. You try to hide your true self from others, people like Lydia, afraid that they might be frightened off, but it is inevitable and futile. Accurate much Rafael? Go ahead and ask me how I know this, dear D'Spacito.
This is possibly the longest letter I have ever written, more so of an average History of Magic assignment. I am sending Aspen your way in a moment. Take your time to read this, it is a lot to absorb.

╚════════════☩══✦══☩═════════════╝Dear Aurelia,
Okay, before you get all ‘high and mighty’ on me, let’s not forget why I attacked you in the first place. Impersonating a dhampir? For all intents and purposes, I’d thought highly of you, given your background as a prefect and your generally upstanding history. However, I’d been sorely mistaken, a fact I was quick to realize during out little interaction in the common room. You saving my ass in SWAG doesn’t change the fact that you endangered it in the first place. Besides, if you think I care that much about my own health, you’d better think again. Why would I throw myself in front of a Flippendo, or tackle Vladimir, otherwise? If it is a thank-you that you so vividly seek, then I suggest you look for meaningless words elsewhere.
Are your problems supposed to sadden me? Bring me remorse? I will have you know that I am far from such feelings. You hurt me first, Aurelia, and for that reason, I feel no regret towards your predicaments. However, for the sake of your health, I will elaborate on why such answers hold meaning in my eyes – I’m admittingly curious, perhaps far too much so for my own good. My searching of answers is only to satiate my own burning desire, not for the purposes of blackmail or inflicting misery upon one whom holds no particular value in my eyes. You’re worried about your damned secrets getting out? I’ve grown up in a rough background, which means I know how to keep my mouth shut. However, I can understand how this may bring you little solace. I don’t expect answers from you, not anymore.
It is best you don’t stick your nose in what doesn’t concern you, Aurelia. However, I won’t be surprised, should you choose to screw my social life up further, as your words have certainly done. I hope you can understand one day that I’m not the man-whore you make me out to be. Anastasia’s my best friend, as is Wren – I have many nonromantic relationships, with both girls and boys alike. My passing of flowers to Anastasia was in the hopes of keeping them safe, as was my dance with Willow with the sole intent of getting close to Vladimir. And they both knew that, with certainty and without a shadow of a doubt. I don’t play with other’s feelings, as I know what that’s like. Who am I, to hurt someone else? As for you Aurelia – at least I have a love life to screw up. Is it that you toy with my relationships, because you don’t have one of your own to see to? Are you jealous, that I have as many friends as I do? Perhaps I will never know. However, I find it strange, that you would choose to cause a ripple when the waters are still. Suppose I shouldn’t have found such surprising.
You think far too highly of yourself. Perhaps you are beautiful, I will not deny such a fact when it is blatantly true. However, I have not once considered you my superior, not since your interaction in the common room. Such actions are immature, childish, and since, I can never look at you with true and acute respect. Such has to be earned – and you have done little to win it. Your actions at the ball prove just that. I’m not desperate enough to seek attention by spreading false rumors. Did you find satisfaction in lying to Lydia? Or, were you clueless? I have a hard time believing such, as you seem to stay quite informed. As for my presence at the Spells, Wands, and Games Club – have you ever stopped to consider that the school simply doesn’t have enough danger for my taste? It isn’t your presence that draws me to such events, a fact in which I thought you were more than aware of, as I hadn’t even been aware of your leadership of the club until arriving. A real shame, such a lovely event had to be ruined by such a vile girl. However, no such presence shall prevent my attendance, as I don’t fear you, nor your violent, desperate mannerisms.
I have never once attempted to conceal who I am to Lydia – in fact, during our first encounter, I’d lashed out at her, and consequently, had admitted to her that I do, in fact, have a temper. She hadn’t cared, which is one of the many reasons why I’d grown to like her as I do now. What worried her, was your words regarding Anastasia – she thought we had been dating. And that was your fault. I hope you’re happy with yourself, Aurelia, because you’ve accomplished so much with your third year. Throwing knives, choking, drugging. Don’t you dare go on about issues, when it’s more than obvious that you yourself most definitely have your own share of problems. I don’t owe anyone explanations regarding who I am, least of all you. If you don’t like me, then stay out of my damned way.
Sincerely,
PS: Your damned bird bit me. It seems as if he shares your lack of self-control.
I probably haven't collected my allowance yet.
Dear Rafael,
I am not going to argue any further about this issue nor am I going to question who this Vladimir you speak of is. Also, you do not understand the severity of a dhampir bite, not only can the blood loss be fatal, but consuming unwilling blood has side effects on the aggressor. Now perhaps this might be hard to believe but I do care about the well-being of my own members, even dhampirs. The bite my owl given you is just the tip of the iceberg of what the real deal feels like. Given you have proven yourself to be able to take a few hits, I should not be very concern about you specifically but that does not mean you nosedive and act recklessly. I hold responsibility for the club, therefore, I suggest that you care more about your own health for the sake of the club.
In this school, you seek danger, clearly, you are oblivious to the fact every year, a fraction of the school population encounters life-threatening situations that leave most scarred from the trauma. Fires, monster attacks, kidnappings and the list goes down. Yet you roam around the school, punching and terrorising those may want to live their life peacefully in school. Then again, who am I kidding? You would never know until you have experienced it, so carry on searching for this danger. I hope the best for your little endeavour for danger and that you would find one that educates you. Quoting your words, "I don’t fear you, nor your violent, desperate mannerisms." I have every right to remove you from the club but will never do so without a tenable reason, so a piece of advice to you if you wish to retain your spot is not giving me a reason to result in such decisions.
Why is it then that Lydia was so adamant to defend your cause that you were not in any way violent if you claim to withhold such transparency with her? Of course, you stated very clearly of your abhorrence towards me, it is no surprise that I do not get to witness all the charm you put on for show towards those ladies. What actions I say are childish would be sneaking out past curfew just for the leisure and 'fun'. You have gotten my intentions wrong. Well, I apologise for my mistake, I see why you and Anastasia make a good pair of friends, both of you are impetuous and full of violent tendencies. I would say that it was for the best that Lydia stood clear if anything were to go wrong. You are not the only one who cares about Lydia and I suppose that is one thing we have in common.
A love life, a few do not have the privilege nor opportunities to choose who to love. I doubt someone like you would ever understand. Teenage romances are not my thing and, usually, I find no interest meddling with other's Amour but seemed that it was Lydia that you were pulling strings on. I only made sure she was knowledgeable. Just so you know, that little description was merely as simple as the mannerism of a stereotypical Lycanthrope. You remind me much of a werewolf similar to how I may seem of the resemblance of a veela to you.
It is time for the answers. I will admit that it is better written than spoken out loud. Save me your pity, I do not need it. What am I truly afraid of, the answer is not easy to discern, even for myself who am still figuring out what my boggart truly signifies. I have spent a large part of my life not aware that I was missing something dear to me, only for me to reclaim it much later with a hefty drawback. I have faced loss a greatly from the start, even before my birth; I had lost my biological family. I have even lost a brother, I was a little over seven then. We were bickering when my surfacing magic cut off the lights temporarily. He tumbled down the stairs. In order to alleviate my grief, my parents used their magic to suppress those memories, not just that of the incident of his death but almost every anamnesis within the confinement of my thoughts. I had spent the next few years, unaware that a person so beloved to me ever existed. Of course, there were a few relapses every now and then of snippets and reminiscences, but most were still lost to me. It was not until my second year, I came in possession of my brother's diary. The memories began surfacing back as I divulged into the book. It sent me into a turmoil of distress and grief. I would not elaborate any more than that.
Far from prepared, I was upon realising that my boggart had shifted into the from of my own brother. It was the exact scene of his death, like a snippet in time, his body sprawl on the floor his neck twisted in a grotesque angle. I have put much thought into it, I refuse to believe what I fear is someone no longer living, much doubtful my own brother. There are two possible answers to what I am truly afraid of, the fear of my brother being forgotten entire or the fear of losing the memories again, no matter how painful. Until now, neither my parents know that I had reclaimed what they took from me. But I understand why they did it, don't you dare insult them.
As for why I dislike you, Raphael Bezuidenhout, was my brother's name; he has an uncanny resemblance to your first. Moreover, your demeanour does reflect his in many ways (less of the negatives), it is likely physiological impediment from the trauma that causes me to form connections and various alikeness. Regardless, you remind me of him and I cannot seem to bring myself to hate you for that reason. Pitiful aren't I? We all have secrets and you have mine. You have your answer, it might not be what you had expected. I would prefer that you did not respond to the owl. Save me your pity.

╚════════════☩══✦══☩═════════════╝Dear Aurelia,
Oh, Aurelia. The idea that you might care about your fellow SWAG Members is laughable. No, you might hide behind a façade of worry for others, but the only concern you are capable of is the defensiveness of your own reputation. It’s understandable, to strive to avoid hassles with the staff. But to have your own students turn against you? I can imagine the sight of one’s dear friends may spark a seed of enmity in the hearts of your classmates, so it’s rather predictable, your supposed care for your game members. I certainly won’t hold it against you. You may fool everyone else, but stop pretending you care about me. You don’t. After all, I’ve learned a lot about you in the last year at Hogwarts, whether you believe it or not. If you cared even an ounce about my well-being, the events of New Years’ Morning would have gone very differently.
Remove me from your stupid club. The only reason I go there is to scratch an itch that I can never truly get satiated. Do you think you’re special? That your little, pathetic threats and insults even touch me? Don’t act like you aren’t transparent yourself. You see, every act one takes has a motive – and, while mine aren’t exactly hidden from the student body, I can’t quite figure yours out yet. Are you desperate for attention? In need of someone who truly respects you? Don’t you, I don’t know, already have a haggle of fangirls that look up to you like some hero from a YA Book? I’ve been around enough to know that you can only give a select few your respect. I will never, ever give it to you. What you say to me no longer has worth.
Because, the thing is, you don’t know anything about me. Why I fight, why I get angry. If you could even understand just a fraction of the instances I’ve been in life-threatening situations, then perhaps you’d rethink your words, perhaps even your stance on the matter. Sober up a bit. Sure, kids are threatened all the time at this school, you think I don’t know that? You were at the same Blossom Ball I was, after all. You see what adrenaline does to your mates. I guess that’s the difference between the Mosp-Killer, and well, the girl in the coma.
You don’t get to say you care for Lydia, not after you just fucking met her. She’s too special for the likes of you to ruin her. Perhaps you’re right, perhaps I am kinder to the female crowd – after all, chivalry isn’t dead yet. The fact that you hunger for discord between us sickens me. I wish I could enlighten you to the whole story, make you understand that everything I did at the ball was to keep her safe. But the thing is, I’m not sure you’re competent or open-minded enough to understand. Either way, I sure as hell don’t have anything to prove to you. I’m not a liar, Aurelia, unless it benefits me – this conversation, entertaining you, has taken up more energy than anything else, and for what means? For you to tell me everything I’ve done wrong? You’re a human too, I could list your weaknesses. Exploit you for the secrets you’ve told me, just like you’ve done to me. For her own good, you say? I’d think, coming from the mouth of one who’s attacked me in more ways than one for little reason, that’s pretty damn hypocritical. Lucky for you, I hold a heavy disdain for gossip and those who partake in it – I won’t stoop as low as to point out your flaws. Monster-hunter status.
As for your boggart – spare you pity, I will. However, I might note, I can recognize that such information is not something shared lightly. Therefore, I will continue to honor your secret by keeping my mouth shut, and the information out of the clutches of those who might which to exploit it. As a token of goodwill, I will also extend some leverage in which you may use against me, should you ever feel that I may share your secret –
I, too, have lost a sibling – particularly, a younger sister of mine. And, while I’ve never had the relief of my memories being taken and stark pain of having them summoned back, I can, in a way, relate to your distress. She’d gotten sick a few years back, about when I was nine years old, with a pretty serious strain of lymphoma, and ended up dying of it a couple months later. My parents could have taken her to St. Mungo’s to get her fixed, but for some odd reason, they just didn’t… I had to see her disappear before my very eyes. While I can’t understand the context of your loss, nor the pain having such memories resurface, I can at least understand that such feelings can be detrimental to one’s thinking process. This is the only reason I extend this to you.
I might add – if you ever, ever tell anyone this, I will not hesitate to have your own sob story announced on the Headliner for every stray and curious eye to see. Respect my wishes, and I will respect yours.
Sincerely,
I probably haven't collected my allowance yet.
