The saying "in the blink of an eye" was truly literal. Aurora couldn't believe how fast time had flown since she entered Hogwarts. It felt like only yesterday that she received the letter on her doorstep, and now, it was already May. Just like the seasons, Aurora believed she had changed as a person. She had made great friends, even if some of their first meetings hadn't gone quite well. She still felt like the same shy, introverted girl she was when she first arrived—and it was true she was still bad at making conversation—but she was more outgoing now and ready to take on challenges head-on. She often caught herself reflecting on small moments, like walking through the castle corridors or sitting in the common room, realizing how familiar everything had become.

This was why she stepped into the Quidditch Stadium. Although she didn't look like an athlete with her short, lanky figure, Aurora was very interested in sports. Before Hogwarts, she had always played football with the neighborhood kids and was pretty good at it; had she stayed in primary school, she might have even made the school team. It was a warm day, and Aurora had put on the sportiest outfit she owned, which her mother had thrifted. The t-shirt and shorts fit her loosely, giving her freedom of movement. It was perfect for sports. The sunlight reflected off the stadium stands, and the distant sound of students laughing echoed across the pitch, making the atmosphere feel lively and almost electric.

Entering the stadium, she noticed several pop-up canopies dedicated to showcasing different activities: Dueling, Quidditch, and broom-racing. Students buzzed around with laughter and chatter as they asked questions and tried out the equipment. Aurora looked around, her face lighting up when she saw the Quidditch station. For some reason, she was more interested in Quidditch than the others. She had been raised in a heavily Muggle household, so even though her mother was a witch, she had never learned about the sport before coming to school. The sight of broomsticks lined neatly and Quaffles being tossed between players made her curiosity deepen, and she instinctively moved a little closer.

The complex game and its multiple rules intimidated her a little, but she was determined to learn more. You won't know unless you try, right? As she walked closer to the station to grab a pamphlet, she saw a boy with a noticeably muscular figure. She recognized him as Fire Davies, a Hufflepuff first-year she had exchanged a few words with in class. Aurora wondered why he had chosen the nickname "Fire," but it suited him perfectly with his carefree, friendly energy. He also knew his way around the pitch like it was second nature, which only made her decision to approach him easier.

Maybe I should ask him; he’s more experienced, she thought. Without hesitation, she approached the boy and tapped his shoulder to grab his attention. "Hey, Fire! Nice to see you here," she started with a smile.

He turned slightly, reacting to her voice, and Aurora gave him a small, friendly smile as she waited for his response. "Are you here to try out other sports, or are you only here for Quidditch?" she asked, smiling at his response.

She shifted her weight slightly, glancing around the bustling station as she spoke, clearly trying to sound casual despite her curiosity. "Nice! Say, I have a few questions about Quidditch, and you’re kind of a pro, you know?" she said, trying to butter him up with a grin and a nudge of her elbow.

She gave a small grin, nudging him lightly with her elbow as if to emphasize her point, hoping he wouldn't mind the sudden barrage of questions. "Can you teach me? Like, some of the rules?"

HOGWARTS FIELD DAY JAMES ADAMS

James Adams showed up at the Quidditch Stadium with his hands in his pockets looking around with squinty eyes because of the sunlight. The Quidditch Stadium was usually packed with people screaming bludgers flying everywhere and whistles blowing all the time. Today it was really different. There were banners all over the stands and different areas were set up around the field for different sports. Students were walking around trying out things like broom racing and some were even dueling. James heard people laughing loud somewhere and it caught his attention for a second. James Adams did not plan on coming to the Field Day. When James Adams first heard about the Field Day he thought it would be another school event where teachers would try to get students excited about stuff. They always said things like "find your hidden talent" before these kinds of events. But the weather was nice, in Scotland and James Adams had nothing to do after school so he went to the stadium. You know what? The Field Day was actually pretty okay. James Adams thought it would be bad. It was not that bad. James walked further onto the field looking at the stations. Students and captains were explaining things to people who were interested. Near the place where they were dueling spells were flying through the air. People were watching in groups. Across the field students were riding racing brooms. Some were making turns perfectly but others were almost crashing into the barriers. That was fun to watch so James stayed. After a while he smelled snacks and butterbeer. The smell was coming from the area where Professor Townsend was. James walked towards that area. Students were sitting on the grass talking and laughing. Some were just watching what was going on. James stood near the edge of the group for a moment. Then he sat down on the grass stretching his legs out. He watched a student who was not very good at racing brooms. The student was having a lot of trouble. James said to himself "I bet ten galleons that someone will fly into a banner before the day is over." He was smiling a little. Another student almost crashed into one of the hoops. Some students near James heard what he said. Laughed quietly. James just shrugged. Then he leaned back on his hands. Looked around the stadium again. He was watching the students, on the field and the people who were dueling. James was looking at the racing brooms and the students who were sitting on the grass. The atmosphere around the field felt really strange. In a good way. Nobody seemed to be feeling stressed. Nobody looked tired from all the school work. Worried about the exams that were coming up. For once Hogwarts felt like it was not weighing everyone down. It felt relaxed. It felt almost normal.

Near the center of the field students were standing around the team captains while they were explaining the rules and showing them how to do things. Every and then people would cheer really loud from somewhere in the stadium when someone did a really cool move on a broom or cast a spell just right during a practice fight. James was watching all of this from where he was sitting on the grass. The weird thing was he was happy to just sit there. It was nice to see everyone having a time without everything getting too competitive or overwhelming. Even the students who usually kept to themselves seemed more at ease talking to people and moving around in the sunlight. James leaned his head back a little letting the warm sun shine on his face as he heard people laughing from away, in the stadium. Maybe he was still not the type of person who got really into school events. To be honest this was probably the closest he had ever come to feeling that way about Hogwarts.

Raised your hand if your shocked? Hmm interesting it seems no one was the very least surprised to the the stalking figure step foot into the current event taking place at Hogwarts. Fire Davies making an appearance at the Field day on the Quidditch Stadium, he grinned to himself as he place his hands on his hips with a self-satisfactory nod. It was crazy to think that just tomorrow he would be playing on THIS very field, representing his team, as crowds jeered and applauded for their respective teams, chanting their names like a choir just for them. Although of course he would start on the sidelines cheering with them, as his current role was second-string, it made none the difference to him and he wasn't any less excited for it.

For practice he had been showing up to several unofficial quidditch matches on the side, as well as training himself for them, just yesterday he had finished up a match as one of the teams beaters. Now here he was fully planning to practice more, and who knows make a few rivals as well as acquaintances who enjoyed the sport just as much as he had found himself doing. As he knew no one in his family were interested in such hobbies, his father wanted nothing to do with the maj-jumbo and his mother wasn't very much interested in any form of sports, and his siblings were a little too young at the moment to have a noteworthy conversation about the magical athletics.

As his sharp maroon eyes scanned the field, they immediately landed on the table filled with butterbeers and other delicious delights, enough to make a field of people's mouth water, and with that logic it caused Fire himself to drool waterfalls. The boy quickly wiped the condensation from the corner of his mouth, blinking his eyes as if a form of self discipline. Fire was about to take his steps towards the target when suddenly he felt a light tap on his shoulder, eyebrows quirked in slight confusion, the boy jerked his head around to look.

It was a girl around his age, wait he recognized her... Remedy... Melody... Wait no, Aura.? A-HA AURORA! A large grin spread across his face, curling more to one-side than the other, to mirror her small friendly one. He had remembered her from before, some shared class between them, he had asked for a pencil or something, he couldn't quite remember, but she had a distinct face that made it easier. The feathery uneven Bob and bangs, small stature, and large blue eyes, he couldn't help but be reminded of some fairytale storybook of sorts. The difference between them was almost comedical, Fire had thought to himself.

"Heya aurora, likewise," Fire spoke scratching his chin, "Huh.. Didn't really think bout that, but I guess I came just to talk about it really with these hooligans. Seeing if I can get into more matches, so yeah the norm quidditch stuff."

"Nice! Say, I have a few questions about Quidditch, and you’re kind of a pro, you know?" The girl said her blue eyes shining, with a slight mischievous smile plastered on her face, as she nudge Fire gently in the side. He hated to say it worked but it did, his ego practically skyrocketing as he puffed his chest a little more a cocky expression on his face. "Can you teach me? Like, some of the rules?"

"I'm no teacher," Fire spoke putting his exploding confidence slightly to the side, "But I can try some. Aodhan the brat Shaw would probably be a better option then me to explain. But here goes: so technically you got two teams each team has a total of 7 players each, right? So the main line up for the field for each team should be, a keeper, a seeker, duo beaters, and trio beaters for both teams, and usually you have like a second string which is in case all the field or first-strings players get turned to pancakes, yeh? You pretty much just hit and snack each other around until you make a enough goals or until the seeker catches this flying machine with wings. Makes sense hooligan?"

Fire said scratching his ear unbothered.

Hogwarts Field Day was a first for Angel. Who knew it will be like Sports Day in the muggle world. Except only three sports. With her sporty blue jacket trying to cover her from the chilly winds it was still sunny but the wind made it very cold. Angel loved the cold it would help heal her skin from the sunburns she would get. Walking around many students were excited or talking about the sports they're seeing or joining soon. Angel planned on Duelling. Quidditch seemed fun to watch supporting her own house to win was quite normal and she has a team spirit, sportsmanship, and competitive too sometimes atleast for being competitive. something about sports seems exhausting trying to be quicker and stronger or better overall. Not that type of person not at all.

Alot of Professors were supervising in case any student wanted to jinx the whole event. Serves any of them right if they tried to do a prank! It was usually Slytherins or Gryffindors up to no good too. Which was sad she thought those houses were very fun but unfortunately too much fun can lead to disruptive behavior and recklessness. Angel sighed and sipped a little hot chocolate she made. Luckily a few Hufflepuffs helped get her the coca she needed was Nacional which was rich in flavor and not too sweet!

Andrea sighed as she gathered up her dark hair, twirling it and putting it up with her polka-dotted claw clip. She wore a casual navy blouse with black jeans, cute yet comfortable enough for her to enjoy the weather. It was quite warm, but there was a light breeze and a few clouds that made it perfect.

It was Hogwarts' Field Day, a day dedicated to the three sports the school had to offer. Andrea wasn't the type to join in any of it, preferring to watch and cheer on with other students. Both her parents had been quite athletic during their time at school, often telling stories or even bragging about it to her, but Andrea didn't mind. Usually, she wouldn't go to crowded events like this one, but she knew she'd have to suffer the FOMO once she hears other Ravenclaws in the common room chatting about their day.

The place was quite packed. Professors stood around, keeping a sharp eye on the students. Andrea hoped she'd stumble upon a familiar face, perhaps Lily or her roommate Corrine. It'd be awkward to spend field day alone, especially among so many groups of friends. So, she began walking towards the different sports areas, eyes wandering over the crowd for a familiar face. Her eyes didn't wander enough though.

Thump!

With her pace, Andrea she didn't notice the girl walking toward her direction. She had accidentally bumped into her shoulder. "Oh! I'm so sorry!" Andrea gasped, reaching out to steady the girl.

Luckily the girl had a firm grip on her cup of hot chocolate, and not a single drop spilled onto her blue jacket. Andrea let out a breath of relief. "I wasn't looking where I was going." She admitted, smiling bashfully.

A slight bump made her cup sway along with the rich chocolate. Angel was snapped back from the clouds. Turning her way towards the person who bumped her. A girl, ravenclaw and similar features to her but more softer. The girl looked worried about Angel's state after what happened but she didn't want people to be worried over something so small but of course it can't be helped the raven seemed actually worried and embarrassed about it. Angel with a huffed sigh she shakes her head letting her know it was no problem.

"No no it's quite alright! We all get lost!" she says with reassurance

The girl looked really refined but a bit bashful at best. If anything it was quite funny and lovely. At least she was not the only one to be so casual. Looking over for any other people that might accidentally bump into her shoulder she stepped back giving the girl some space. This can hopefully reassure her that what she did was no inconvenience at all. Knowing many people get startled when they first meet her it will not be surprising at all if that was the case right now.

"This girl looks really scared to me at least."

"Would you tell me your name? You did bump towards me after all!" Angel says with a laugh

Knowing it will take awhile for her to warm up due to what just happened she's probably still shocked. Angel to her benefit will have to introduce herself first in cases like these. Though it was no problem for her she would love it if people wouldn't be so scared when they meet her. It gets to her a lot if people just see her as a ominous presence and the girl with uncanny beautiful features. Just wanted to be remembered as just Angel Dayes and that only. People would not be so casual with her if they knew she had a rich background in one side of her family. They would act like she's something special or something to be regarded as the one with high class. Sometimes she wonders how purebloods deal with getting pampered like they can't do basic things themselves. Surely Angel would not have it!

"So, which sports will you be joining for this field day? I heard quidditch is very popular at the moment!" now her posh voice came in and she enunciated quidditch and moment.

Angel liked quidditch but to her it seemed very daunting and taxing. Admitting it was exciting and adrenaline filled sport she believes only the ones who are really passionate and determined to be in such sport should. Duelling however won her heart. Her background with fencing back at home gave her a edge to knowing the mechanics. So without further interruptions and silence filling the space she added another question for her little ice breakers. Angel always loved those.

"Unless your into broom racing or duelling, I think it's still quite cool!" Angel smiled brightly

Now she hoped this proves that she's friendly and means no harm. Unless the day had different plans.

xxxxxxx thought
Andrea was delighted to know that she hadn't troubled the girl too much. Although she had never officially met her, she recognized the girl quickly. She was someone she'd seen around the corridors; if she wasn't wrong, the girl was a Slytherin.

"Oh, thank Merlin." Andrea spoke, shoulders relaxing from relief. "I'm Andrea, Andrea Woodsburn." She introduced herself, offering a polite smile.

The Slytherin—who's name she still hadn't gotten—asked about Andrea's plans for the day, expressing her thoughts about the school's three sports. The girl spoke in an elegant manner that even Andrea—who came from and has met distinguished pureblood families—felt quite intimidated. Her features helped with that too. Andrea swore she had never seen anyone that pale—in a good way, of course.

Despite having parents who were quite athletic, Andrea never really tried it out. Yes, she was quite interested in the thrill of rapidly riding brooms and even casting spells on the spot, but for now, she focused more on her academic side, preferring to study books in a quiet environment. Maybe when she's older, she'll have some time to experiment those sports.

Andrea hummed, thinking about how to spend her day. She hasn't really given it much thought, only coming to watch the others and perhaps find some new company. Though she wasn't a big fan of large crowds and loud noise, it might be fun with someone else.

"I don't really have any plans to join any of the sports. Thought I'd come by to watch the fun." She admitted, shrugging her shoulders. "You? Personally, I find Dueling quite interesting, but I haven't had time to try it out." It was true, with the books she'd been reading, Andrea had developed a small interest in the quick nature of casting spells on the spot. Then again, she doesn't plan on learning it so soon. "Either way, I'm planning on watching the Quidditch match later. If you'd like, you could come with! Of course, if you're not too busy."

Lana walked onto the Quidditch Pitch and she was simply mesmerized.

The students had been informed that Hogwarts Field Day would be taking place today and so Lana simply had to check it out!

The long walk from the Slytherin common room to the Quidditch Pitch was hard, but as a first year who could barely navigate through the castle, it was even harder!

Lana had almost given up on finding the Quidditch Pitch but she had finally succeeded!
Thirty minutes of walking had never paid off better!

She stood in the middle of the ground, which was bustling with excitement. There were so many activities going on at the same time, it was hard to comprehend what started first.

Lana would usually have come with friends, but she barely had any! So she decided to think of the people she recognized. She recognized a few fellow Slytherins and a few fellow first years, but nobody who she knew was willing to do something with her.

As a last resort, she just decided to go on alone. She first walked over to the snack bar, which attracted her most. She found there glasses of lemonade perfectly aligned.

She grabbed a cup and drank to her fullest. To her surprise, when she kept it down, the glass refilled itself. She then remembered that her mum would bewitch glasses the same way on her birthday parties.

Lana was beginning to get bored when she thought she saw a girl she knew nearby. It was Rosy Parker! From their first Train Journey!

She was heading off to the Broom Racing activity, but she could surely take Lana with her!

"Rosy, is that you?" Lana called out from behind her, hoping her intuition was right.

Rosy turned around and saw Lana, a girl she knew from their first train journey together!

"Hey Lana!" she replied. "Yeah, its me! I was just heading off to Broom Racing. Want to come with me?" she asked hopefully as she was alone and seemingly, so was Lana.

And Rosy walked over to the Broom racing area, Lana following her. "So, Lana!" she said. "How are you doing? Make any new friends lately?" she asked.

And they slowly together, made their way over to the snacks bar, where Rosy noticed the lemonade cups refilling themselves.

As she grabbed a drink, she couldn't help but notice that Lana looked slightly nervous. Not to mention, tired! "Lana, is something wrong?" Rosy asked, concerned.

"You look like you haven't gotten much sleep lately!" she continued despite Lana's side eyes. "You can be honest with me" Rosy said. "After all, I'm a student too!".

And while Lana casually explained herself, they both walked together to the Food bar, ditching whatever plans they had to participate in a sport.

"Oh Rosy, its actually nothing!" Lana consoled her friend. "I've just been getting loads of homework lately and you know how hard it is to keep up!"

Lana realized that Rosy had abandoned the thought of going to Broom Racing and was now heading back to the food bar. Lana followed her, as she knew how exhausting a sport must be and that it was better to just hang out with a friend.

As they helped themselves to the snacks and drinks, Lana couldn't help but space out. It was a habit of hers, she always stopped thinking about the moment for a few seconds and her brain would ponder away.

Lana thought of how the summer vacations were so close and about how she would return, see her parents again. It honestly felt like one dream ending and another starting!

She then somehow snapped back to reality, when she remembered that she was talking to Rosy and how they were playing Rock Paper Scissors, with Rosy constantly winning every single game.

Then a Quidditch Match between Slytherin and Hufflepuff started and both the girls began loudly cheering for Slytherin.

Lana observed how the Chasers ducked and made goals while giving the other team's Chasers a false impression and how the Keepers took care of all the hoops instead of just one. How the Beaters were on lookout for any Bludgers and how Seekers were constantly looking for the Snitch.

Lana decided she wanted to be on the Quidditch team one day and help Slytherin win. But for now, all that food had made her drowsy. She looked at Rosy, who looked even more tired. Probably because Rosy had been there before Lana and had been running when Lana saw her.

"Well, Rosy!" Lana said suddenly. "We'll meet again. I'll see you around!" she said as she waved goodbye to a yawning Rosy and carried her backpack over to the Common room, where she hoped she would meet Rosy soon enough!
