Lauren badly needed the toilets. And unfortunately, the only toilet she came across was the one on the second floor.
Yes, the abandoned toilets.
Where one of the sinks held the depths of the Chamber of Secrets in it.
But that didn't change the fact that she wanted the toilet.
Tentatively, Lauren edged towards the door of the abandoned toilets, putting one hand on the doorknob. Why was she so cautious? When she went to the Chamber of Secrets, the toilets didn't worry her. Back then, it was merely a place of which she needed -- or wanted -- to go to.
So why was she so scared? Why was she so cautious?
Lauren didn't know, either. It just felt like something bad, something unexpected, would happen if she went into the abandoned toilets. And her gut instinct was never wrong.
Should I really go? she asked herself, uncertain.
Duh, answered another voice in her brain. Just because your instinct has never been wrong before doesn't been it won't be wrong now. You've been in here for countless times -- what's wrong with you? Does it look like Arianna and Felix would be hiding inside there? And even if so, there's absolutely nothing to be scared of. Remember what Aunt Loratrix said? If you become scared of them, then you're already defeated. I'll have to survive this longstanding battle between us in time for justice! Go, open the toilet doors now!
She complied with the voice in her mind, opening the door to the abandoned toilets hesistantly. Inside, there was nothing. Absolutely nothing. Or so it seemed...
