First Bath Bomb
Clay hurried into the bathroom. Well, there was no real need to hurry, it wasn't like it was bad to carry bath bombs around the school, but it was her excitement that made her rush. For her twelfth birthday, which was only a week ago, her grandmother had sent Clay her very first bath bomb, along with some other girly stuff. For some reason the package looked a little tampered, as if someone had tried to open it, but she guessed that's what came with sending things through owls and not regular postal service.
Not like any muggle wanted to travel to this crazy castle anyways.
The young Gryffindor placed the bag containing the bath bomb on the sink. Glancing inside, she could see the multicolored ball, mixed with reds, blues, purples, and the color white, along with a lot of glitter. It was so pretty, even though it hadn't even touch the water yet.
But she needed to use the bathroom first. The sight of a bunch of flowing water often did a number on her bladder and she wasn't going to take any chances, being in one of the more popular bathrooms. Not, it's lavatory, Clay, she told herself. Even at this point of the school year the young girl had to keep correcting herself, despite being surrounded by wizards and witches all of the time. But even they were from all over the place, so couldn't really judge.
Clay hadn't chose the abandoned toilets for her experiment—if you could call it that—because she kind of wanted everyone to see, as in any girl passing through. They'd probably ooh and ahh, then ask her where did she get it from and then she could make friends. Clay wouldn't admittedly say that aloud but that was her goal, to make new friends by giving a show.
She filled the sink with water and took out the bomb. She had second thoughts, of course, wondering if this was really worth making a mess. Clay grinend. Yes, it was definitely worth it. It was only a little mess anyways, nothing worth crying over.
She let the ball hover over the water—it was really like waiting for the inevitable—and them she dropped it.
After first nothing happened, but then the ball began to fizz and leaked leaked from it—then the ball exploded literally, throwing colored goop everywhere in the bathroom. Clay barely held back a scream before she ducked under the sink. It was like elephant toothpaste, but more colorful and less dangerous.

First Bath Bomb
The day had been flying by for AJ. She had spent most of it wandering about the castle, trying to find her way around. Of course, when you are unable to rely on a staircase still leading to the same hallway, that makes things rather difficult. She had gotten so turned around that now she had no idea where she was. At least there was a bathroom here. She had been hoping to spot one to take a few minutes to refresh herself before continuing on. As she reached for the door, she heard what sounded like a muffled blast.
She looked up and down the corridor, but there was no one else to be seen. Nervously, she opened the door just enough to peer inside.
The wall next to the door seemed to shine in the mid-afternoon light coming in through a window. As she looked closer, she realized this was due to the immense amount of glitter all over it. The mirrors, floors, and sink were covered in the same glittery, colorful substance. AJ poked her head in further to see where the explosion had originated. Ground Zero appeared to be a sink practically overflowing with colors and water. Hiding underneath of a different sink was a fellow first-year in Gryffindor colors.
AJ stepped in, being careful to watch her footing. Once she closed the door behind her, she raised a questioning eyebrow at the girl hiding under the sink. "Were you trying to brew a unicorn or something?"

First Bath Bomb
Clay burst into laughter. She clapped her hand over her mouth but then realized there was nothing to fear and laughed openly. "N-no, it was a bath bomb," she managed, overrun with giggles. Brew unicorns? Is that what people actually did? That thought was scary but eerily realistic in this magic world. Clay was used to horrific things but even that was too much.
She moved to get out from underneath the sink, which smelled a little bad despite the lovely aroma coming from the colorful sink, but then a large goop of pink and blue water plopped down in front of her, landing on her shoes. Clay shrieked and then burst into another round of giggles; she hardly knew what was funny anymore but laughing just felt so good.
When she finally managed to escape from her gooey cage, Clay found herself surrounded by glitter and colors; everything in the way of the explosion was covered in the stuff. For instance, the ring of sink, which sat in the middle of the room, was only covered in colors on one side, while the other side that faced the entrance was mostly crispy clean. On the other hand, the stall doors and any toilets that weren't guarded had been hit with color.
Clay just stared in awe for a moment, then went over to claim her bag, which was barely decipherable from anything else. She peered in it and found a tiny note inside.
Clay glanced over at the girl, lips trembling as she tried not to laugh. She raised up the note and said, "Guess I got to...taste the rainbow!" And she burst into laughter again, barely able to stand up. She knew she probably looked like a fool but she couldn't help herself.

At first Clay didn't know whether she should be angry or not. She realized that someone had tampered with her stuff, which should've make her fume, but it was actually pretty funny. She remembered that bath bombs were supposed to do next to nothing, just fill water with color and not explode, but it wasn't that bad.SURPRISE! LOVE, GRYFFINDOR.

First Bath Bomb
AJ watched as the Gryffindor emerged from from beneath the sink and began laughing. She was pretty sure if that were her she would be positively mortified, but the Gryffindor just seemed entirely too entertained. Her laughter was infections, and AJ found herself laughing at the situation, too.
"A bath bomb? Why on earth would anyone want something that does this? It'll take a lot more than a bath to clean it all up." She grinned as she wiped away some of the mess off of a mirror. In her reflection, she could see the other girl rifling through her bag.
When the Gryffindor showed her the note, she laughed yet again. "Your own house did this to you? Well that seems impolite. I hope they will at least help clean!" She looked around and noted how run-down the normal-colored areas of the lavatory looked. Truly, all the color and glitter was practically an improvement, even if it did border on vandalism. Besides, this old gray stone castle could really use some more bright colors and pastels to breathe a bit more life into it. Even without electricity, this place did not need to feel medieval.
Something the Gryffindor said clicked in her head. "Wait, why would you taste rainbows? Is that like... a thing your house does?"

First Bath Bomb
She was glad that the girl laughed along with her because she was starting to doubt in her own sanity. The fact that she had gotten pranked was just too funny, but not that funny.
"A bath bomb? Why on earth would anyone want something that does this?"
Clay suddenly got defensive, thinking of her grandmother who had been the original sender. The bath bomb had been harmless until someone jinxed it, so it wasn't her fault. "It wasn't always like this. It was normal until someone touched my belongings," she snapped, but there was still laughter in her eyes from earlier.
"It'll take a lot more than a bath to clean it all up," said the girl, and Clay agreed. The thought of actually cleaning up this entire thing hadn't crossed her mind until now. It wasn't even her fault that this had happened! Honestly though, Clay had thought it would something like this but only overflowing the sink, not splattering everything in it's path with rainbow glitter goop, including herself.
The girl said that it seemed impolite for the Gryffindors to do such a thing. Clay only shrugged; it could've been worse. She could've had side effects, like her skin turning 'permanently' rainbow colored. She was fine with her brown skin, thank you.
Suddenly the girl turned back to her, curiosity in her tone. "Wait, why would you taste rainbows? Is that like... a thing your house does?"
Clay was befuddled for a moment; how could she not know—"Oh! But wait, have you never heard of Skittles before?" She was actually feeling quiet proud that she finally knew about something a wizard born didn't know, if that's what this girl was. Clay knew of some non-magic kids back home didn't even know what Snickers were, asking if people actually ate laughter. What kind of tomfoolery is that.
"Skittles are these little bean like candies that are every color of the rainbow. There's a commerical where they say 'taste the rainbow' because you're figuratively eating the rainbow...by eating the candy. It's some Yankee thing, I guess."
