Physical Description:
Average height, Dusky skin tone, small nose, long wavy black hair and dark brown almond eyes. She has a mole under her left eye, ear piercings, thin, prefers soft coloured dresses.


Background of the character:
Her lineage is from India but her grandfather had settled in London which is why she was born and brought up there. Her grandfather is also a fellow Gryffindor. He was a well known Auror at his age and regarded as 'the hunter' for how he hunted down the dark wizards at his time. Regardless of his fierce nature in his youth, he is kind, gentle and pampering towards his grandchildren.

Ira is a pureblood. Her father is Aarav Ray, working at the ministry and mother is Supriya Ray, a healer. Her father is an investigator at the ministry. His knowledge, practical skills and calmness helped him get there. Her mother is a soft and gentle soul. She couldnt bear how much helpless a person feels when their near and dear ones suffer so she took up this profession to help other people. Supriya and Aarav met at Hogwarts during their academic years and got married later. Her maternal side of the family is also loving and kind. They were mistly from Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Her mother is an only child, thus Ira is badly spoiled by her maternal grandparents as she is the first born. They care for magical creatures and her grandma is a herbologist. Her paternal aunt was also a Gryffindor. Her children are way older than Ira so they graduated quite a long time ago. They are a happy family and sometimes visit each other's homes once in a while. Ira has a younger brother, Arush Ray who is 8 years old. She wishes to be an Auror when she grows up. She used to hear a lot about Hogwarts from her grandfather which was why her excitement had increased tenfolds after she had received her letter.

Ira is the apple of their eye. As a first born in her family, she is expected to make them proud through her excellence. Although her parents never pressured her to study, they still made sure she had her basic education done. Ira had a best friend, Damien Smith at her hometown. Unfortunately he got into another school and couldnt accompany her at Hogwarts. They became best friends since he was her neighbor and of the same age. They played together most of the time and would gladly follow her lead at any play. She used to be very mischievous as she would break things here and there and blame them on her innocent brother or poor friends. Inspite of her stubborn nature, her friends loves her for how considerate and loyal she is.

First instance of magic:
When she was at the age of 5, she got into a fight with her friends over a ball as she wanted to be the one throwing first, she was so angry that she made the ball explode, leaving the kids confused and afraid. Soon her grandfather looked into the matter and made sure they were not hurt. This incident marked her first instance of Magic.

Personality:-
Stubborn, audacious, determined, ambitious, bold and social. She doesn't usually feel shy but can be suddenly silent if a lot of people are present in the room. Although she cares deeply for her near and dear ones, she can get cold if she set her eyes on a goal and brought ignorant towards others which she regrets later. She prefers to achieve her goals at any means but restrains herself from getting dishonest. She is kind but not naive. She is extremely loyal and doesn't like dishonesty. She is mischievous and fearless. She could go to any lengths to protect her people.
