"Alright what do you need again?"
"Some books..more books..did I mention—more books?"
..
"Didn't know I taught my son to be unfunny."
They were staring at each other, grinning. Chatt opened the parchment that contained of supplies he needed. The list was long indeed. But doable. His father took a peek in it and made an expression. Yeesh.. "Well, how many Galleons do you need my son?"
Good question.
Chatt stared at his sorrounding. Maybe around 50 sickles...10 Galleons..? 100 knuts??? How does Wizarding currency work?? "Why aren't these given out to students..isn't this a school of MAGIC? Surely they have funds!" Chatts dad, Gabriel, would would let out a huff. "Well—don't ask me that."
Chatt looks at the list again.

Book of Spells by Miranda Goshawk;
Magical Theory by Adalbert Waffling;
The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection by Quentin Trimble;

He'd think. Heavily. Not based on random—no. Based on how much he thinks these are worth realistically. It's just supplies, how bad could it be?
"Maybe just...20 galleons?"
"Let me check."
The father would hurriedly check his pockets, 'til he landed on his back pocket, taking out a coin pouch.
"One..two...three..." he murmured, as he would count.
"Here you go my boy."
Chatt held out his hand from his jacket pocket. He'd scramble it with his thumbs, taking count. 18 Galleons, 30 Sickles.
"Right, after you've finish, wait by uhh.."
His father looked outside.
"Ol—Olli..vanders—yes, Ollivanders!"
"Wait where are you going?"
"Ah, just a quick run to the groceries."
"There's groceries in here?"
"No."
.
.
"Well then, I'll see you my boy. Don't worry, I'll be quick!"
"Yes father."
"If it's not enough, well...it should be since I've given you almost 20 galleons.." he'd murmur. "But give me a call alright? You know the rules."
"Yes father."
His father hurriedly went outside the door, but not before opening it for a young woman. Chatt rolled his eyes, smiling.
He'd look back to the list.
And checked his sorroundings.

It's really..tightly packed. People would shove each other lightly, or squeeze into each other. He'd head to the first shelf he saw, but not without getting shoved into it by someone. "Pardon me." No genuine apology in that voice. Chatt sighed.
He reached for every shelf. This is gonna take too long. He thought. So, he observed others. He saw a few students, his age..maybe. Trying to reach over a book. Maybe that's one of them..? He used this opportunity to get the book he needed.
He walked over and reached for the book. The students were quite surprised, Chatt was towering over them. He read the letters of the book. Well—tried.
.
He looked over, he saw the students staring at him.
Ah, right.
"Sorry, did you—wanted this?" His accent heavy. It's only been a year ever since he went to England after all.
He held out the book.
The students were giggling,
"Pardon me, are you french?"
"Ah, yes."
The girl had a heavy Scottish accent.
He reached by the shelf, grabbing the same book. He'd uncrumple his parchment of paper.
"Ma..gi..cal..." He'd compare each Syllable to the parchment of lists. 'Magical Theory by Adalbert; Waffling'. The books title.
"Are you perchance a first year?"
"Correct."
Chatt was busy trying to read the list.
He'd look over.
They're still staring. "Are you from Beauxbaton?" Chatt would raise a brow—confused at the question.
"Uhm—no. Just.." What's the English for 11 again... Chatt thought hard. "Just the same as your guys age."
She laugh. "Oh!"
They'd laugh again and again. Chatt isn't even saying anything. He placed the list back to his pocket. "Right then, best we be off! We'll hope to catch sight o' you in the castle eh?" They'd giggle and push each other off while staring back to Chatt. Chatt kept a decent smile as he waved off. Crap—they're already finished? I was hoping to use them to find the other books.. He'd thought with a defeating expression.
.

.
.
"Wait—did they even pay for the book? Or matter of fact—BOOKS? DID THEY USE ME AS A STEALING TECHNIQUE??" Chatt as he realized, the girls just left off the shop with the book he gave them. Chatt looked at parchment again.
He sighed.
He's still missing 5 more. He looked around again. "Screw it."
He went to the first person he saw.
"Excuse me.."
The tall figure turned around. He was with another person, his brother maybe. Which was quite handsome if Chatt was being honest.
He reached for his jacket pocket, taking out his parchment of lists once more. "I need to uh—get these." He pointed at the list. He and his brother looked at each other. "Are you a first year?" "Yeah."
"D'you have your own Galleons to be paying for this then?" The tall man asked.
"Yes!" Chatt took out the galleons his father gave. Before the tall man could reply, his brother spoke. "Whereabouts are your mum and dad then?" When he asked that, his brother pulled his hand and looked at him intensely. Chatt looked at him. Well, he's really hard NOT to look at. "Father is getting groceries." The boy looked confused. "Groceries..?"
.
.
Right, wizard people. Sorry father I failed you.
"Food. But—could you help this?" He pointed at the parchment again.
"Yeah—yes sure. Not to worry." The tall figure spoke again. He held his brothers hand before patting Chatts back and leading Chatt to all the books whilst buying one of their own.

As Chatt placed his books in the counter, the register counted it. "A Galleon, 13 sickles and 23 knuckles please good sir." Chatt raised his eyebrows. "A Galleon..?" He was quite shocked how low the price is. Well—comparing to the money he has. He set the money down to the counter. 2 Galleons to be exact. He quickly grabbed his change and the big pile of books he had obtained. Maybe I should've bought a couldron first.. Chatt thought. Chatt turned around and saw the brothers who helped him just behind, waiting for their turn.
Before leaving, Chatt bowed to say his gratitude—the top of his book pile fell. Before he could even react, the young boy catched it before it could even fall to the floor. He simply placed it back.
"Yes, thank you again."
The older brother spoke, "Don't worry."
Chatt hurriedly went for the door, but not before looking behind him, and saw the younger brother also looking back. They held eye contact for just a second—and Chatt left the store.
