Whatever the issues this boy had faced and caused, Aurelia would not pry further. It was not necessary for the Gryffindor to know and putting herself in the boy's shoes, she would prefer some privacy. The reluctance in the boy's voice was prominent as he spoke, there was no need for her to be nosy. " You should be careful here. Without professors and all, students, like Anastasia, abuse their new temporary freedom. " She said.abilities

Oddly enough, the boy had not given her his name. Trust issues? She would not be surprise given that he had been punched by an older year whom he clearly did not know. Aurelia would have made her leave if it were not for yet another furious girl in a large frivolous dress approaching her, or rather, the boy. Gem Stuart was his name. Angry words, something about Rafael, as a brother and once again, Gem causing some sort of harm. The raised fist did not go unnoticed. Aurelia had her wand out in and instant. This girl was impertinent in every way. She dressed as a princess in a fairytale, yet she was anything but, not to mention the thick coat of eyeliner and fake lashes that looked ridiculous and inappropriate for the eleven-year-old.
She intended to teach the girl some manners. It was rude to interrupt a conversation, especially so with violence. Aurelia brandished the tool in her hand. "Petrificus Totalus," both the incantation and wave of her wand was skilful.

Entering from Quidditch Stands with @Ivy Bellamy
Light sparked throughout his hues as Zykeal shifted down the last set of stairs with Ivy now to his side, eyes bright with the luminescence that radiated throughout the pitch, a contrast from the dark stands that they were previously upon. Hands would shift up systematically to the cuffs of each side of his shirt, tugging them down slightly to ease out any creases that were made by the descent of the staircase. Darting eyes crossed over the gathered crowd before them as they stepped onto the pitch at that point, systematically cataloging the faces to which he could see at that moment, a habit that still stuck with him from his upbringing.
Bringing his hands to rest behind him, he'd clasp one hand over a wrist and walked along with Ivy as she navigated through the crowd. She had mentioned a girl that he somewhat recognized, to be frank, he hadn't even noticed a resemblance of the one named Ana to Ivy. After a nod was given in that direction, a smirk played across his face as she vaguely eluded to their similarities, not seeing it really himself, clearly thinking he had the most beautiful girl at the ball to his side. If she assumed he would be taken aback by this sort of thing, well, he was new to the magical world and quickly deduced that there were too many mysteries involving magic to question seriously at his age. As the saying goes, go with the flow.
As Ivy lead him along, he gandered over towards where there was a gaggle of quidditch players, noting the quidditch captain himself and couldn't help but offering a slight roll of his eyes. Refocusing then, he felt the tension of Ivy waft over himself as they passed another boy. This brought him back into check, slightly annoyed him even. Turning his head, he'd look down upon Ivy for a moment as she seemed quite tense and tried to read her expression. It was a complicated look that she had upon her features at that moment and he deducted that the boy in question was either an Ex'or someone she just didn't get along with. The thoughts bothered him for a moment as he sized up the boy before he heard the quiet mutter that Ivy then offered, "Let's go."
Zykeal still hadn't noticed anyone else that he wished to talk to, hell, he hadn't even said anything in response to Ivy as she had talked before. This wasn't to be rude, he hoped, but he was just letting her take control of the moment as she clearly had an agenda as she led on. It was at that time then he learned of her plans and he turned to face her as she asked the question. A wicked little smile came to his features as she asked to dance, "Ivy, you don't know what you're getting yourself into," a hand shifting to be outstretched in offering to her. Zykeal wasn't a master by any means at ballroom dancing, but, he still hoped they played something later in the night that they could groove too a bit more, he needed to let loose a bit.

Secret Blossom Ball
It was simply another typical fancy party to commemorate a “special” moment of the year, like any other social gatherings; it was definitely something that he was used to, but never thoroughly enjoyed. The hors d’oeuvres were often good, given the price it would be if ordered at a restaurant, besides, he got to dress up a little bit, and he was at the very least glad that it wasn’t any soiree involving his family. He wasn’t in the mood to be impressing other businessmen, grand wizards, or members from the council of magic - and especially rubbing shoulders with their snobby, arrogant children or heirs - Klaus absolutely dreaded those moments in his life.
But tonight he was hoping to get a brand new perspective. Tonight he’d be able to have some actual fun. And most importantly, he didn’t have to experience it all gallivanting alone.
How he managed to get @Seulrene An to agree to be his date is beyond him. Judging from her constant cold and neutral nature, he’d already felt that asking her would’ve been a done deal; the perfect rejection. But something in him at that time thought to give it a try - given the current connection of their families, it only seemed right for him to still invite her to accompany him to such, and he was relieved that she had said yes - even after his failed Ipomoea Alba situation.
As he arrived at the entrance of the Quidditch Pitch, he watched the few students entering ahead of him; all in smiles as they exuded pure excitement. Klaus had a moment of hesitation before riding off the cloak he wore over his prepared outfit, folding it neatly and placed it behind a nearby bush. He slipped his way through and followed the people down the path, lit beautifully by bubble-encased candles.
He immediately took notice of the two suits of armor by the entrance, each one containing adorning separate notifications. He didn’t have a broom, but he did make a mental note of where they were before turning to the other where it was holding a box of beautiful colourful boutonnieres and ribbons.
He couldn’t help but smile at the kind gesture of promoting representation. Reaching into the box, he picked out a green-silver ribbon boutonniere and attached it to the lapel of his suit jacket - choosing to keep to his house colours. He took this moment to reach inside his jacket to feel for his wand that was neatly tucked into the inner pocket - not that he needed it right now, but it’s become a necessity to have with him everywhere he went at this point. He was very fortunate that his butler, Aimon, had been kind enough to have a new suit tailored immediately and owl’d to him despite the last minute notice, and not being able to come home during the Spring holiday.
Running his fingers to fix his style back hair, he entered the pitch, greeted by a crowd of his schoolmates all dressed in their best. He took in the beautifully decorated place - an area meant to take place for one of the most brutal sports in history, now turned into a fairytale garden-like wonderland. Klaus couldn’t help but quietly snort inwardly at the irony of it all. Then he began to remember what had happened at previous party events hosted at the school, and how most had ended sourly with looming dark threats.
Klaus could only hope that he would leave the ball tonight with good memories, and not have the rumored concerns to prevent him from doing so.
After some time idly walking around, exploring the rest of the place, and taking in the breathtaking details of the decorations, taking note of some familiar faces; one in particular was @Calanthe Choi. Dating back to their last encounter which was definitely something that could add to his book of records for ‘most interesting people to meet and how’. Her contrasting casual ensemble was enough to support that statement. He’s always wondered for how long had this girl constantly chosen to go against the decree of situations.
But, he admired her for her bravery nonetheless.
He approached the food table, scanning the presented finger foods, and eventually picked up a tiny hamburger even if he’s already eaten a ton during dinner. He also figured it was a good spot for him to use as a platform to start searching for his date amongst the ocean of adorned bodies. It took a while before he finally spotted Seulrene.
Putting on his signature smile, he began making his way over to her and tapped her shoulders. “Bonsoir Mademoiselle, vous êtes belle, you look absolutely lovely.” He knew to greet a lady first, followed by a compliment. He bowed his head to accompany his formal greeting. “Isn’t it brilliant? How they managed to organize all of this, all while keeping it a secret.” He uttered next, motioning around. “They did a magnificent job, truly.”

“That… wow, really? You gave your father a concussion?” Wyatt answered with a small nod, and took a sip of his water. Vincent was stuttering, but anyone would. Wyatt wouldn’t know, though. Vincent and Wyatt’s mum were the only people who have ever heard or seen what happened, and Vincent didn't even know the whole story. “That… wow, that must have been a terrible experience.” Wyatt hated thinking about it. He didn’t like how amazing it felt to finally show his dad who he really pissed off. After, he wasn’t even grounded, his mum just pretended nothing had ever happened.
“And probably awkward at that. I can only imagine how bad you must have felt.”
You have no idea.
“My first experience was rather awkward as well, but it luckily didn’t end with someone getting hurt. In fact it ended rather well, although I never quite figured out what exactly Norman had experienced.” Vincent then shared his first experience with magic, Wyatt listened. He was hooked “And that’s my story." Wyatt was very confused- but Vincent’s confusion was probably much worse.
"As my parents are both muggles, the subject was never discussed and I never had the guts to tell my mom about this. But, if you don’t mind me asking, please tell me, you father… he wasn’t too badly injured I hope?” Wyatt tried to hold back laughter, he really did his best, but unfortunately, a small breathy laugh made its way out of his nose. He composed himself again. He wasn’t really sure if his father was okay- he didn’t care- but if Vincent wanted a happy ending, he’ll get one. “Yes, he’s fine now.” Back to drinking and everything, I’m sure. “Back to work and everything.” How long did Wyatt think he could keep this up? Lying about his father- if only Vincent knew. He never could. He didn’t like lying to Vincent- it made him feel dirty- but white lies can’t hurt anyone… right? Wyatt tried to steer the conversation away from parents, hoping he could disguise it in the form of carrying on a conversation.
“Where did you grow up?” Am I an idiot? Growing up involves parents, Wyatt!

“Careful, you’re next.”
Thomas’s words carried an odd, lilting sort of tone, the sort that foreshadowed ominous events, and for a moment, the Captain was left to wonder what such cryptic messages were to mean. He was next? Next for what? The reaping? Well, such things would certainly be concerning, he decided to himself, biting his lip between his teeth as he considered such a warning. Should he be worried for his health? His eyes skimmed around his current company, his brow furrowing in the slightest as he searched his peers for potential threats to his safety. Well, threats other than Grease Stain. Had he upset someone with his boyish good looks? If so, who? God forbid Wren see him giving her flowers away, the last thing he needed was a low blow in front of Thomas. Would he ever recover from such humiliation?
However, Wren was the least of his problems, as with growing horror he finally recognized the victim of his ignorance. It seemed as if it had been his lovely date that he’d upset with his actions, for reasons he had yet to comprehend, her mouth turned into a frown and her eyes carrying the distress she surely felt. It was unsettling, disturbing even, how her pretty features seemed to contort in pain and hurt, the very sight sending the boy into a bout of uneasiness. Angels weren’t supposed to cry – this one looked pretty damn close. "I-I'm sorry, I have to go.” Rafael’s mouth was gaping, his brow furrowed in utter confusion as the girl turned, disappearing into the amassing crowds. No, everything was going wrong. “Lydia – “ his voice died in his throat, confusion lacing his eyes as his mouth settled into a frown. What was he to say? What had he done to deserve such abandonment? come back for her, goddammit! What was he even to say to the girl to will her back, when the cause of her distress had been his own actions? He’d long since come to terms with the fact that he couldn’t please everyone, but Lydia wasn’t everyone, now, was she? “Lydia, wait – “
However, he would not have much time to contemplate such an issue for much longer, as a sudden clanking had resounded through the air – the very noise had made the jumpy child jolt, his eyes going wide and his drink spilling in the slightest. What was that? His curiosity would soon be satiated, his brown eyes quick to locate the source the mysterious noise – it was a bag, specifically one Victor had previously been in possession with before he’d left it with a rather lovely looking girl [Marion], in pursuit of a dance with Thomas. A small grimace played on the boy’s lips as he watched the two Slytherins hit the dance floor. What, were the two a thing or something? He’d certainly have to punch Victor in the nose for ditching his friend. However, it seemed as if there were more important things to address at the moment, his curiosity knowing away at his attention, forcing his eyes back to the mysterious bag clutched in the hands of the girl. What was in the bag? The fact that Victor had left it with the unfamiliar, albeit pretty hot girl certainly sent alarms ringing throughout the head of the girl-crazy Gryffindor, his stomach pooling with his curious drive as his eyes narrowed in slightly on the mysterious object in question. Why not give it to Selim, who’d kindly offered his assistance? What was with Victor tonight? It was then, that a concept occurred to him – his sharp eyes quickly scanned the Pitch for another vaguely familiar face, specifically that of the Ravenclaw witness. Sure enough, there was Vladimir, dancing with Opeila, an ominous bag in his possession. Which only piqued the Gryffindor’s curiosity. Suspicious. So it seemed that there were darker things playing about… perhaps he’d have to look into such things before the night ended.
It was then, that the two lovebirds soon returned, Victor wasting no time in spitting questions at the Thunderbird’s face like some sort of temperamental Gryffindor, words that turned the young Captain’s face sour as he looked upon the Slytherin with disdain. It seemed as if Willow had been right – his endeavors had been less then stealthy, a fact that was really beginning to kick him in the ass. Unfortunate, but he’d deal with it, as he always did. His acting skills, after all, were professional level, his tongue quick to concoct an excuse to satiate the other boy’s growing temper. [Or, perhaps not – truth be told, he’d been considering an oral escape plan ever since Willow pointed out his lack of stealth.] The last thing he needed was a witness on his tail, especially if they were doing what he suspected of them. Such things would be catastrophic in his efforts to uncover the truth.
Well, time to awaken his inner Slytherin.
“Oh, those were your flowers?” the boy asked, mock sympathy crossing his face as his eyebrows furrowed, a hand coming to rest on his mouth in concern. “Oh my God, I hadn’t known! You see,” he looked down, rubbing his neck guiltily, “I’d noticed Aaron hiding them… I thought he was going to give them to Lydia. My bad, really, many apologies. I’d asked my best friend to hold them for me – “ his eyes glanced over at the brunette girl, his platonic soulmate, still chatting it up with Dale, before his eyes returned to the suspicious Slytherin. “You’re welcome to get them back anytime, she was going to give them back to me anyways. As for Willow,” he bit his lip, a wry grin coming to rest on his features, “she’d asked me for a dance. I’d wanted her to come along, so that I could ask Lydia if such endeavors would be okay with her. Though, she seems to have disappeared, so I suppose it doesn’t particularly matter anymore.” He shrugged, pain from Lydia’s abandonment seeping into his face. That much wasn’t a façade. “A real shame. I’ll have to find her later…”
It was in that moment, that he could clearly pinpoint the true feelings stirring about in his chest, contrary to the mask of emotion his face portrayed. It would do him best not to dwell on feelings of Lydia right now, not when Victor and Vladimir were being as shady as they were. He could just explain to her later what was going on, it wasn’t as if he’d done anything wrong. Not yet, at least. Right? He shook his head, releasing such thoughts from his mind, before turning to Willow, allowing a charming smile to fall over his features, his eyes bright with anticipation as he nodded towards the dance floor. “Speaking of which – how about that dance?” Though his tones portrayed a questioning air, she should have known by his careful gaze that he wasn’t at all asking. Without waiting for an answer, he turned, grabbing her hand and gently tugging her along with him as he retreated from the suspicious group that was Victor’s company. She could hate him later. Right now, it was time for action.
The trip to the dance floor would take mere moments, as the two hadn’t been very far from the location in the first place, their little group probably only having been chatting ten yards from where the masses danced. The perfect escape route. Upon reaching their destination, Rafael would waste no time in placing on hand on the lovely Hufflepuff’s waist, taking her other dainty hand in his own, his eyes already scanning the dance floor once more in search for the suspicious dancing couple. Surely enough, the two were waltzing about, Vladimir muttering quietly to his date, the only sign of such actions being the steady moving of his lips. They were quite far away. Perhaps the two had better begin dancing. Looking back down at Willow, he leaned forward, a charming smile upon his face as he muttered into her ear, as naturally as he could physically attempt – “How about we dance towards Vladimir and Pei, to your left?”
Willow soon conceded, which marked the beginning of their waltz. The Gryffindor would carefully lead her on, trying to the best of is ability not to step on her toes as he muttered an explanation into her ear. His words were nonchalant, as if whispering sweet nothings, though the both of them knew his words were far from the sort. “There’s something going on here,” he explained smoothly. “The witnesses are acting funny. Victor and Vladimir.” Looking around for his victim, he carefully readjusted his footsteps, leaning in once more. “I can’t be sure, but I’m fairly certain that the flowers I’ve given to Anastasia have been tampered with. I’d taken them in the hopes of protecting Wren, but I’m starting to think that won’t be enough. Both of them have these shady ass bags – what’s up with that? Why are they so protective of them? What are they hiding?”
Then, even lower, “I’m going to tackle Vladimir, you take the bag. I’ll take the heat for everything – just, make sure no one sees you. Capisce?”
He wouldn’t wait for an answer, only lean back once more, properly admiring the girl he was dancing with. “You look quite lovely tonight,” he remarked with a curt smile. And my all means, his words were true – he wasn’t sure he’d ever seen her as beautiful as she was on this night, though their interactions had been limited. “It’s a real shame that your date let you wander off.” Ah, her date. At the remembrance of the cursed Snake-Lion, a lightbulb went off in the child’s head, his charming gaze morphing into a frown as his eyes flickered over to the two boys dancing together nearby. Now, Ruka was a lot of things, but a player wasn’t one of them. At least, that’s what the Gryffindor had observed. Which begged another important question – “If I may ask,” he muttered quietly, cocking an eyebrow in a kindly fashion “who’s Flash’s date?”
However, before the girl across from him could ever hope to answer, another face would cross his field of vision. A face that caused his own to lose all color. There, across the dance floor, was Gem Start. His lovely, sexy, guitar-playing and cigarette-smoking ex. His black hair was magnificent tonight, his handsome brown eyes darting about his surroundings in the most perfect way imaginable. Gem had always been perfect. But no such fact could calm his now-growing nerves – what was he doing here? Hadn’t he disappeared, or something? The boy’s heart was pounding, his lips pursing in a look somewhat akin to fear. No, this was a mess of his imagination. A trick.
Gem was gone.
He wouldn’t get much time to worry about this, as someone had quickly approached the Raven, her very face sending the Gryffindor’s temper flaring, as well as his aggravation levels. Yes, Rafael’s shit-o-meter was definitely climbing, his grip on Willow’s hand growing tighter as his eyes narrowed in on the girl. Anastasia? Why wasn’t she with the flowers? A growl escaped his throat about then, his temper beginning to stir within his stomach. This wasn’t good. However, his ill mood only seemed to increase as he continued to watch – the girl had flat-out decked his the lovely boy in the face, leaving him utterly shocked, his mouth dropping open and mouth gaping. No, that was it. No one could hurt Gem. It didn’t matter if the ravenhead had broken his heard. “Dammit, Ana,” he muttered. “You shouldn’t have done that.” However, the horror show wasn’t over, as Wren had quickly joined the beating – and smashed her fist into his face. If it hadn’t been for Aurelia’s appearance on the scene, perhaps the Gryffindor would have ditched his plan in an effort to save the Ravenclaw. He needed to be there goddammit, he needed to do something –
– but he couldn’t. The boy quickly shook his head, a deep frown playing on his features as he forced his eyes away. He would deal with that later. Looking around casually once more, he noted the distance they now were regarding their new target – Vlad was about three yards, give or take. There would be no better moment to strike. He looked down easily, his smile ever charming as he spoke in hushed words. “Now’s the time to act,” he told his dance partner carefully. “Are you ready?”

"So.. what happened?"
Well, that was an interesting question, and Lydia had no idea where to start from. Should she tell Aaron about Rafael's weird behaviour, or should she start with how sweet he had been with the rose bouquet, or maybe should she just start with the whole conversation she had with Aurelia?
The Hufflepuff girl took a deep breath, her eyes looking up at her best friend's ones, before she started talking. "When I was in the changing room earlier, I was talking with Aurelia. She's a third year Gryffindor, and well, when I told her who my date was she..." Lydia paused for a second to take a breath, "She said that Anastasia and Raf are, well, together. As in, a couple, cause she said she had seen them in the common room," as she said that, the red headed girl averted her eyes, looking around to instinctively search for the Gryffindor boy, only to see that he wasn't where she had left him.
She had left him.
The sudden realisation of that sent a wave of panic through the girl's body; she had been so focused on feeling upset and hurt, that she didn't even think about the fact that by leaving like that, she would have hurt Rafael's feelings as well.
"I-I'm sorry, I got lost for a second," she said as she looked again at her best friend. "So, after that conversation with Aurelia I had planned on asking Rafael about this, because I thought he, well... that he liked me? Then, as we were going towards Wren, he looked completely distracted and like, as if I wasn't even there; and once we got to Wren he simply left,"
"Next thing I know, he is holding hands with Willow and he is giving a massive vase of beautiful roses to Anastasia. And then he came back to where he left me, handed me a drink and focused on everybody else that was there, but me," Lydia finished explaining, and she thought that she must have sounded incredibly self-absorbed and she started thinking that maybe she had exaggerated behaving that way. She looked again towards the couples that were dancing around them, and she couldn't help the frown on her face. She had royally screwed up, hadn't she?
"I probably shouldn't have left like that, without an explanation. I was just, so angry an-" Lydia abruptly stopped talking, as her eyes locked on Rafael and Willow dancing, the boy whispering in her ear as they moved to the rhythm of the music. It felt as if all the air had been knocked out of her, as if someone had punched her right in her stomach; it shouldn't have been Willow the one dancing like that with Rafael, but her.
Then, the jealousy crushed on her and mixed with her sadness and anger as she glared at the couple dancing. How could he do that to her? Or to Ana, his supposed freaking girlfriend? Or even to Willow? Now, Lydia had never been the kind of person that got properly angry that often, but whenever she did, almost everyone pointed out that her whole facial expression kind of reminded them of a bird, even if briefly.
The Hufflepuff girl clenched her jaw tight as she looked away from them. "Well, I guess I was wrong. I can't believe I felt bad for leaving him like that. And Willow! Why is she even dancing with him!" Lydia said, her voice slightly higher than usual, as her eyes kept being teary, but without properly crying.
Why did everything have to go so bad that night, why couldn't she just have a good thing, for once, without any drama?
She had the feeling that the surprises were not yet over for her that night.
"Everything beautiful is ruined eventually."

Willow was just along for the ride with Rafael, and boy what a ride it was. She knew people on an individual basis, but not their relationships to each other. Who had even come to the ball with who? Which begged the question of who Rafael had come with, something she hadn't thought of before. It might've been Ana, the girl he just handed off a whole rose bush to and told to protect, or there was a new option... one that hurt more. Lydia. Her and her fellow housemate weren't incredibly close, but Willow did consider her a dear friend. One that she would never wish harm on. She was an amazing and sweet girl, but her face only held pain. Rafael called out for her but she seemed to go to Aaron without looking back. Willow looked up at the Quidditch captain with a new curiosity. Why had she gone along with this when she barely knew him or his intentions? A mistake might've been made and the sinking realization started to settle in her stomach.
She didn't really have the time or option to back out now, as Rafael talked about Willow asking him for a dance. A slow nod happened as she remembered that she had a part to play, and tried to tuck away the confusion for now. If he was going to ask Lydia then obviously she was his date. Maybe there was something else going on where she was having a bad night separate from Rafael. She couldn't make the judgment call and it frustrated her. The charming Gryffindor turned towards her finally to take her off for a dance, she gave the group she really hadn't spoken a word to a small wave before willingly being dragged away by Rafael once again. A small smile stayed plastered on her face, fake smiles were a skill of hers luckily.
This wasn't the best time to tell Rafael she had never done ballroom dancing before, but better late than never. "I've never actually danced like this, so you'll have to be patient with me." It was only made worse by the fact that she couldn't really reach his shoulders because she was so small, so her free hand rested on his upper arm as he began to lead her. His eyes were scanning the dance floor already, but her eyes stayed fixed on him. Trying to figure out what was going on. As he leaned forward to whisper into her ear a small blush formed just because of the proximity. She wasn't a hard person to make blush. It didn't take more than a second before Willow started moving in the direction he needed her to go. How had she let herself become a puppet?
There were admittedly a couple missteps on her part, had she mentioned that she had never done this before? Every time she did a quick "Sorry" was uttered, nothing enough to interrupt Rafael as he dumped everything that was going on to her. Finally, some context. Willow kept a smile something a love struck girl might have, dancing with the boy she had been waiting for the whole night. She had to keep up the act well, throwing in a small giggle after he finished talking to make it seem as if he had told her a joke, or maybe complimented her and she couldn't deal with it. Her eyes couldn't help but widen when Rafael revealed his genius plan, in a hushed voice of her own she responded, despite him already leaning back away from her. "You're just going to tackle him? Rafael you're asking a lot of me." A deep sigh emerged from her. "You owe me one after this."
At least the dance was nice. He was a decently good dance, better than her any way. Finally, a real smile replaced the fake one as he complimented her. She did look lovely, at least some boy at this dance appreciated the effort, even if it wasn't her date. But an eyeroll quickly followed, "He didn't let me wander off, he left me first. Obviously, I'm not a good enough date for him. I'm sure he's having a much better time with Flash." In their dance she caught a glimpse of them still talking and dancing the night away, it enraged her. Flash was in for it later, they needed to have a serious talk. Her gaze returned back up to him as he inquired about Flash's date, but she honestly didn't know. She saw him enter with Evelynn, Rafael's co-captain, but surely he would know who his own co-captain was attending with so it couldn't have been her. She merely shrugged before Rafael was already off looking at something else.
Was it really so hard to keep any boy's attention? This was a ridiculous game that she seemed to keep losing at. Not that she particularly wanted Rafael's undivided attention, they were on a mission. But he didn't really care about her night. He was just making small talk to make everything seem natural, so they weren't suspicious. It was another moment of wanting to get to know someone but the interest not being reciprocated. When would she learn to stop?
Her back was to the chaos as Rafael's grip tightened, he growled even. She was starting to become scared of the tall boy. "Rafael, are you okay? What's going on?" Apparently Ana did something, and it was driving her crazy that she couldn't see. There wasn't much time to question him more before Rafael decided it was time to initiate their plan. She merely nodded. Who knows what Rafael would do to her if she didn't follow through at this point.
She had let herself get pulled in by someone asking for help, her primary weakness. Let's just hope she wouldn't regret it terribly later.

Secret Blossom Ball

Selim watched on as the interactions between those in their ever-growing group went on, largely unnoticed by anyone except a boy he faintly recognized. The boy said he didn't look like 'a grease stain'. Those words made no sense to him, and all he did was nod cooly in response. The boy then dashed off like a madman on a hunt, and he watched his interactions idly, keeping an eye on him as he moved around the crowd, carrying a vase of flowers for whatever reason while dragging the girl he had met a few days prior, Willow Anderson, around.
He turned back to Lestrange, watching as he asked for a dance, and then to carry Victor's bag, which confused the cannon fodder in a white suit (AKA Victor).
The cannon fodder instead handed his bag to the girl that dumped pumpkin juice on his companion. Thomas seemed to disapprove of either that or his own mistake of asking to carry the bag instead of asking if Selim himself could carry it.
This qued Selim to pay attention to the bag, eyes fixed on it as his companion continued to ignore their mission in favor of dancing with random strangers that he knew. The bag was then handed to his dormmate, Arlo, by pumpkin juice girl (AKA Marion). Arlo commented on how heavy the duffle bag was.
The boy that insinuated Selim usually looked like a grease stain returned, uneasy, talking to the girl he left behind. The girl ditched him in a rather melodramatic way, much to grease stain boy's disappointment. The boy (What was his name again...) caught sight of the bag, before his gaze flicked in another direction. Selim followed his eyes, catching sight of a similar bag that Vladimir had.
His gaze narrowed, but his attention was flipped back to his companion, who finished his dance and sat at the table. Thomas soon caught sight of the camera girl who had been snapping pictures of them for a while.
Arlo and the girl who dumped pumpkin juice on his companion headed to the stand with the bag.
Selim couldn't quite keep track of the chaos around him and was getting a bit antsy, he wanted to complete the mission and leave. The tumultuous crowd was putting him on edge, and his fingers itched to hold one of his blades. A part of him wanted to disappear and hide in the corner of the Quidditch Pitch, alone, with the bento box he was still carrying around.
With those thoughts churning in his mind, he weaved through the crowd, before sitting down beside Lestrange without a sound. He eyed the girl across from him warily fingers twitching. He wanted to pull out his blade in preparation, but drawing a dagger out in the middle of a crowd wasn't the most brilliant idea.
He cast his emotionless gaze to Lestrange, face as blank as ever, though his eyes glinted in question. They couldn't talk freely with this girl watching.
He had heard snippets of his companion speaking to the girl before getting close to him, he asked a question, about the photos that were being taken. Selim had a similar question, what was the point of tacking pictures, were they going to put them in some yearbook? Or a secret photo album? That would just be proof of them going behind the redundant professors' backs.
Still, currently, that was not the mission objective, they had to get on with Lestrange's prementioned plan, to 'get something', from Vlad. Despite this, he was mostly in the dark about why Lestrange was talking to so many people, asking for dances. Was he gathering information?
He didn't know how Lestrange was going about getting what he wanted from Vlad with so many distractions. Had he changed the plan mid-way without telling him?
Selim was heavy with a detached sort of disapproval, mostly on his father's behalf. Selim had been taught that communication on missions was key to surviving said missions. Lack of communication led to heavier casualties.
He supposed Lestrange wasn't taught about how to properly execute missions, it's not like everyone was normally raised by a clan of assassins.
He'd have to let it slide. Lestrange was leading him blindly through his plan, all he had to do was prepare to attack, be his target the enemies of Lestrange, or Lestrange himself.

Secret Blossom Ball
It seemed that the lioness had a habit of being "fashionably late", while on her way to the destination of the Secret Ball. She did see a few students sneaking their way there, luckily, she didn't need to be sneaky and that was another advantage for being a Prefect. They wouldn't be questioned why they were outside from their common rooms and their excuse could be just doing their normal patrol duties.Mentioning @Alan Noble & @Aaron Jones

She remembered that it was Aaron who told her in person at the courtyard that day about the Secret Ball and after promising him that she would spread the words in the Gryffindor common room, she also told her Ravenclaw close friend, Alan about it. At first, she was a bit worried if Alan would say no due to the disaster that happened last year at the Masquerade ball but to her surprise, he only smiled and was looking forward to going with her to the Secret Ball. Perhaps a lot of students were still hopeful that they could risk enjoying one ball, she didn't blame them and somehow she was slightly relieved that at least most people were still optimistic. Griseldis wasn't sure if Alan was already at the ball or not but they did plan to meet up at the Quidditch Pitch, she just hurried to wear on her new dress for the Secret Ball then wore a black robe to cover her whole body to hide what she was wearing so there wouldn't be that awkward feeling of being exposed. Although she had no doubt that the Martial Artists Club members must be at the Secret Ball at this point and doing their duty as a "security guard" there and hopefully, the first thing she saw at the Secret Ball wouldn't be another fight. She really wanted the cycle of stopping a fight to end.
Once Griseldis arrived at the Quidditch Pitch without any unexpected incidents happened on the way, she saw there was a light source inside the entrance. But before following the light sources, she looked around to make sure if a certain familiar face would appear to greet her.

Amara gasps. She was on her way out when she saw Gem, one of her closest friends, about to be physically assaulted. She pauses, not knowing what to do when an older girl ( @Aurelia Notrésvace ) stopped the attacker with a spell. Amara rushes over to her friend, "Gem, are you alright? What even happened?" Amara knew that Gem's ex, Rafa, was a power player, both on the Quidditch field and in the social scene. Amara prayed that Gem was not going to get pulled into more of that drama. Even though she had only known Gem a short while, she felt some sort of odd pull to him. He embodied many things she despises, smoking, terse language, and of course his horrid mannerism, but the idea of him getting hurt made her blood boil.
Amara looked at the older girl who looked quite exasperated, "What did you do to her?" Amara nods her head over to Wren, a sinister look crosses Amara's face as she begins to plot her revenge. Amara is not typically the violent type, but right now when one of her few companions is being threatened, she may have to resort to violence.
Amara takes a sharp breath trying to get the dark thought out of her head. She has spent most of her life seeing her birth mother face and fight her demons and Amara will not let herself fall victim to the same demons.
