Flying for the very first time (At Hogwarts)!

Ever since my family taught me to fly, I've only done it maybe twice after. Safe to say, I was kinda (really) scared for this first lesson. I mean come on, flying on a broomstick with no protection and no guarantee of safety can be scary for anyone. Not just me, and not just because I'm in Hufflepuff.

Regardless, when I first called for the broom and it flew to my hand almost instantly, I couldn't help but smile to be completely honest. I was one of the first few people to achieve that, during that lesson. And I remember smiling even wider when I began to hover. I kicked and jumped, slightly leaning back like my Mama (and the professor) taught me and I was maybe half a meter above ground. My heart was racing fast like a Nimbus 2000, even though I was only on a basic, bewitched sweeping broom.

We didn't do much flying after that, but I know that I left that lesson feeling pretty proud of myself. So much that I mailed to my parents for the first time just to tell them that! Just this morning during breakfast, I got my response back from them, and to sum it up, they basically said they knew I had it in me and that I just need to be more confident in myself. I guess they're right. Anyways, not bad flying for the first time! (At Hogwarts)
