The great hall buzzes with chatters and laughters as the feast continues after sorting ceremony eventually ended. Lots of new faces had stepped inside the school happily or otherwise. Alex Kavanagh had been sorted into Slytherin, which he didn't really mind about. His mother once told him how every house is powerful in its own way.
Alex isn't quite a picky eater as he eat whatever that he saw on the table, in front of him. He's still trying to get use to the new environment now for which he'll be studying in for a couple of years. The silverware clatters like a hum of tune in the background as Alex eat the roast beef in his plate. He had poured himself a goblet of pumpkin juice for his dry throat. It tastes almost like his mother's juice which she sometimes makes at home.
All he hoped for is for his years in this school will always be memorable no matter what. He might get lost along the way but he's sure that he'll always find his way back to the right path, to the right person in no times. When the feast had ended, the students were eventually led and headed to their respective houses. Alex couldn't shake the excitement in his heart, waiting for adventures and exploration in the future ahead.
