High in the air, the cold wind pushed into Atlas as she raised her shoulders trying to contain all of her warmth as she watched the chaos and intensity before her as seekers were knocked off their brooms and bludgers were knocked into others. It had already been an insane game but she believed in her team to continue their winning streak as she stared out at the pitch.
Her former rival D'Spacito had been knocked out of the game but as a new chaser took to the field, Atlas was unfamiliar with this player or their strategy as she saw her racing towards her. Inhaling calming through her nose and out through her mouth, Atlas raced on her school broom to catch the throw by Killian as it soared just out of reach through the goal post.
Closing her eyes in defeat, Atlas tried to remain calm as she could feel her competitive nature and her need to win being attacked. Clenching her fists, she quickly saw Killian trying to make another shot as Atlas learned forward on her broom reaching out as another quaffle sailed through the goal post.
"You've got to be kidding me..." Atlas grumbled feeling her teeth grinding on each other as she had been the cause of 20 points to Gryffindor in a matter of minutes. She wanted to remain positive but it was hard when she felt like her broom and abilities were so new to the game. To lift her spirits some, she sighed in relief when she heard the gong and the crowds' cheers as Jones sent a quaffle through the Gryffindor goal.
"Okay...just breath...everything is fine..." She tried to coax herself as she still felt a sinking pit in her stomach for letting her team down. The game isn't over yet. We can do this.

Saskia was on the lookout now. Now that Reid was down, she was even more determined to make sure nobody else would go down either. Everyone on the team was an important asset one way or another. The Gryffindors knew that, which was why they had to take out the biggest threat on the field. If she wanted to avenge Reid, she'd have to do better to make sure the team won once and for all.
Saskia was especially cautious with Teiki. It was a popular strategy to take the Seekers out first before they could get the Snitch, and it was especially more prevalent if the Seeker got their eye on the Snitch. Judging by Teiki zooming straight on her broom, she assumed that she might have had a clue on where it was. It was the same motion she saw with past Seekers, including Julie and Serena before her. That would have also meant she was a bigger target to take down.
One of the Beaters on Gryffindor took aim. The bludger flew swiftly in the air, and Saskia knew what to do. Pushing her broom forward, she moved forward, her focus solely on Teiki. She was already close to getting the Snitch. She only needed some time before she could-
She stopped on her tracks as she watched the bludger collide with the girl. She was too late. The bludger had been too fast. Too precise. A fire burned in her as she watched her fall, her grip tightening on her broom. She failed. She failed at such a crucial moment. She should have caught the bludger. She'd have rather been the one to fall instead if that was what it took. But she let another one fall instead of her. She was guilty of that.
Not all hope would have been lost, however. Annie, thank Merlin, was already on the move, having caught Teiki on her own broom. They still had a shot at winning. It wasn't enough to ease the guilt off, but Saskia could rest a little easier now that there was still a chance to turn things around.
She readied her bat once again. She needed to make this count.

Wren was tired and hoped that Evelynn caught the snitch soon. Evelynn and Teiki, the Hufflepuff seeker, were fighting to get the snitch. Neither one had caught it yet, but it looked like a matter of time before one did. She was silently praying that Evelynn did and that the Lions had their second victory since Rafa had become captain. Boy, would that boost his reputation.
She was taking a penalty lap thanks to Rafa, who had wanted her to try to blatch, and that failed attempt was something she was not keen on re-trying but as soon as she finished the lap she was most likely going to try again.
She watched as Kayden Mae Killian, their second-string keeper, scored two goals. This woke her up fast. They were now ahead, despite the one goal Aaron managed to score. She cheered from her broom a bit sad she was unable to do anything in her position.
“GO LIONS!” she pumped her fist into the air, causing herself to loose balance and after quickly putting her other hand back onto the broom she finished what she was saying. “KICK THOSE SOFT BADGER BUTTS” she giggled at her own words. Anyone watching her from the stands would think she was crazy. For one almost falling off her broom, then shouting something so absurd, and last, giggling of all things during an extremely intimidating Quidditch game. She put a serious expression back on her face and concentrated on finishing her lap.

Quinn missed...of course he missed he always missed when it mattered. It was starting to really irk him and piss him off. He would need to train harder, and become stronger too if he wanted to be of any use to his team. When Quinn played he became an entirely different Half-Giant. He wasn't overly violent but he became highly competitive as was clearly shown on his face while he dashed around on his large broom.
Quinn needed to contribute, he wanted to avenge his fallen friend. Looking around the situation wasn't looking too good for them. They needed to up the anty...Quinn needed to up his game. Only question now was how could he, and even if he figured out how. What about Quinn's terrible aim? He could hit like no one else but he lacked a lot of control and finesse courtesy of his heritage.
Dwelling on that out here was a spell for disaster though. He would just move where he was needed and cheer on his fellow badgers while doing it. He was Quinn afterall, what did he have to really be afraid of. It was just a game in the end. One he so desperately wanted to win.

In Arianas opinion the quidditch game had nerver progressed as quickly as it did today. She watched as Kayden scored goal after goal, her eyes widening in surprise, awesome! That girl really was a good player! They were now in the lead, 20 points to gryffindor! Hoping with all her might that Evelynn would catch the snitch soon, she sighed bitterly as she remembered her failed attempt to knock the hufflepuff seeker off her broom. As she circled the sky, her bat at the ready, beating bludgers astray from her midst ever so often, she turned her gaze back to the pitch below.
She was chewing her lip in anticipation, Aaron had managed to score, it was only a matter of time before Hufflepuff caught up and she badly wanted Gryffindor to win. Her eyes scanning the pitch attentively, she glanced up and down, hearing the shouts and roars of the crowd below her, they seemed so far away now. Turning her attention back to the game she swiveled round eyes on the pitch ready to strike at the next attack.

The second-string chaser for Gryffindor was turning out to be an amazing opponent. @Kayden Mae Killian had never really been on Aaron's radar - he had only really memorized the names and faces of all the first-string Hogwarts players. Clearly he had more research to do, because the second-string and waitlisted players were proving to be just as formidable. Kayden was able to score two back-to-back goals, which was really frustrating for Aaron. He was really trying out there, but perhaps the expectations he placed on himself were getting to him. When he finally did get a chance at the quaffle, he very nearly let Serena have it. But somehow it ended up in his arms and he was zooming down the pitch. And then-
A goal! His very first goal! He hardly had time to savor the moment because of the fast pace of the game, but he had actually done it! This would be a moment he'd remember forever. When the interviews were pouring in on how he got his start, this would be the story he would tell them. Even if it was an unofficial game, he was surrounded by the best teammates a new Quidditch player could ask for! And when his team was down by thirty points, he had pulled through with the first goal of the match!
Aaron looked for his friends in the stands and took a brief second to pump his fist into the air and send them the biggest smile he could muster up. @Lydia Cooper and @Sean Hearth being there for this moment meant the world to him. Plus he couldn't help feeling a bit smug about the goal, thinking about how Rafael was still facedown on the ground being useless.
As Aaron turned his attention back to the game and flew to the rest of the chasers, he made eye contact with @Serena Bowen. When he ended up getting the quaffle at the same time as her, he wasn't sure why she let him have it. He shot her a huge smile, though, unable to feel anything but eternally grateful for the opportunity. "Thanks, Serena! Let's keep it going!" he called to her, directing his broom back in the direction of the quaffle. Now was the time to keep their momentum going!

Willow kept having to remind herself that Quidditch wouldn't be a school sanctioned sport if it was so dangerous. As she was trying to keep an eye on the game her eyes couldn't help but flicker to Rafael and Reid lying motionless on the pitch, fully knocked out as the game continued to rage on above them. She could barely make out that at the very least they were still breathing and alive. She knew it wasn't her place to jump in and try and save them, but it was hard to resist. Especially with Rafael had been nothing but nice to her the last time they met. Though, her loyalty to help would probably lie with her teammate.
Her head shook lightly as she tried to retrain her thoughts on the match happening above her. Her heart nearly stopped as Teiki was taken out, but then luckily caught by Annie. They couldn't lose another teammate, well they had a second string, but she didn't want anyone else to hit the ground. There was not much time to be concerned though as she watched Aaron score his first goal. She leaped up from her spot at the bench and cheered for him. He was a formidable Quidditch flyer, she had found that out through practice with him. Being able to see his talent, and for him to show it off too filled her with pride. "Yes Aaron! You did it!" After a moment she returned back to her place on the bench. They were behind, but they had to celebrate the small victories.

It would seem Woodward's shiny new broom wasn't just for show as he proved himself capable of neatly ducking out of the way of an incoming bludger despite the likely distracting directions from his passenger just behind. It seemed Evelynn had caught wind of the snitch, that was the good news. The bad news was it seemed the Hufflepuff seeker had done the same, it was going to be a race to the finish.
Hufflepuff had scored on them, impressive to be sure but nothing to be too concerned about right now. The young scot was certain both teams would focus their efforts solely on their golden prize. He would have to leave the Quaffle to the other talented Chaser, he was making it his solemn responsibility to make sure Gryffindor's seeker wasn't forcibly ejected from the game before her time.
He flew up and fell into formation next to Charlie, the older boy clearly struggling to follow the directions of the co-captain, whom looked about ready to fling him off the broom and take charge entirely if the poor boy didn't shape up. AJ gave him a sympathetic look as they flew, as they looked at each other, it seemed a plan began to come together, and with a nod they would get ready to put that plan in motion.

To her delight, her Gryffindor teammates were all doing wicked jobs! With the loss of their Captain, the new reserved Chaser, Kayden was her name, right? Did amazingly! Being the only Gryffindor Chaser, it didn't scare her. Like a true lion, she bravely snatched the Quaffle between the two other Hufflepuff and demonstrated her true talent in mid-air. Griseldis believed she wouldn't be able to do such a skillful grab and was glad that she made the decision to change her role from Chaser to a Beater instead. She watched Kayden not only managed to get the Quaffle but also successfully made a score.
"YEEAAHHH!!! WICKED SCORE! KAYDEN!!", the lioness once again jumped off her bench and cheered for the new Chaser as loud as she could. It really seemed to her that this unofficial game was a great chance to show them that their new teammates on the waitlist were all hidden gems and would bring honor to the Gryffindor House. But then when the Quaffle finally got in the arms of a Hufflepuff Chaser, she remembered the boy to be her own club member, Aaron. He also proved his skills as a Chaser and scored a goal for his House. She could already notice that their Keeper might get a bit unhappy about it but hopefully, he would get over one fail and continue to guard their post. As her grandfather always would say to her that every mistake and failure was not a bad thing but a great gain to be better cause we would learn from them. She looked towards the other two Chasers, Evelynn still safe and well on Charlie's Silver Arrow, while AJ was obviously being the "lifeguard". Not to anyone's surprise, the giant Hufflepuff Beater, Quinn tried to hit them with his bulger but luckily, Charlie was quick to react and with the help of his new broom with its advanced speed they were able to dodge the powerful hit. Also lucky for AJ that he didn't need to defend them immediately, who knew how painful that bulger will be. "Thank Merlin, they're all fine for now...", Griseldis whispered to herself and sat back on the bench.
Just then, she saw Charlie with Evelynn on his broom seemed to find the golden snitch but noticed the Hufflepuff seeker was flying right beside them also chasing after the snitch. "Come on...come on...you guys can do this!", Griseldis nervously watching the intense sense of red and yellow flying to catch the one and only golden target.

"Yes!!! Go Badgers!!! May shrieked when Aaron did a goal.
Wow, this was about to be a though game after all.
The Gryffindor Seeker wasn't on her respective broom, and neither was the Hufflepuff Seeker, Teiki Laurent. Seemed like they both had very big difficulties, but they were with great players, so that would be extra though. May extra cheered when Annie Morgan caught Teiki with her broom.
"Yes!!! Teiki!!! You can do this!!! May cheered to the Hufflepuff seeker, Laurent, as she chased the golden snitch versus Dicipio.
Whoever winner this game, would be very happy, of course. Tho May was praying so that nobody would get hurt, and even more.....SO THAT HUFFLEPUFF WOULD GET THE SNITCH!!!!
May could see Janet Jackson cheering for her own team, and other Hufflepuffs and students from other houses cheering for ONE of those two great teams that were playing right now.
When one of the new Gryffindor Chasers as he scored, a roar of cheers were being heard by Gryffindor supporters.
And the same happened when Aaron Jones scored one too.
When Teiki passed by, still concentrated chasing the snitch, May and other students too cheered extra hard again to support her.
Only destiny could say which of the two houses would win.
