Ojú.. That's the lake? Closed

"I know! I can't just walk up casualy with an "Excuse me, Sir...could you whip out your wand for me?" Or "Give me your wand!" Alina sighed. Ancel was going to think these two girls were completely ridiculous and - sometimes they were.

"And even the notion of saying I like to look at wands or examine other people's wands sounds wrong. I'll be a pervert next among the school population," she sighed and blew some hair out of her face. "But really, I mean your wooden wand that you purchased for the use of magic," and she glanced over to Crystal, making sure that sounded okay. Did it?

"Mine's short, like me," she said. "Here, I shall whip it out for you," and she looked over to Crystal and pointed at her. "Don't. Don't even," and as she brought out her wand it occurred to her that her friend was giving herself a tattoo with a pen on her arm. And Alina was the strange one here? Surely not!

That was actually one of the best parts of Hogwarts, Alina Rosier was finding out, - the fact that everyone was different and it was okay to be yourself and be unique. Not everyone would like it, but some would.

He was looking at Alina who was commenting that she had not seen anyone talk about the aspirations, something that did not surprise Ancel because most of the young people only wanted to enjoy and study, but his grandmother had told him that while studying at Hogwarts, he would go into classes of different types in which it could have a significant importance in his future as part of the jobs of the magicians... He sighed while smiling “I guess I will not be someone so normal, in which I have different aspirations regarding my future.” he explained smiling while thinking about which subjects Ancel handled best “Surely Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures and Transformations... Although I really like History of Magic.” he explained thoughtfully, scratching his chin.

He couldn't help to blush while giggling due to Alina's unfortunate comment “I know what you mean, don't worry.” he said laughing as he pulled the wand out of his pocket, though he couldn't help but look at Crystal who looked like she was choking on laughter “I know... It would have sounded really awful, especially since we are not old enough for it.” he muttered, cocking his head and raising his wand “My wand is mayhaw wood, and the core is: phoenix feather, about 25.9 cm.” he said smiling, as he put it in his pocket again... However, he felt relaxed after Alina's slight incident in which he had said something out of context and wanted to help her “Don't worry, it could have been much worse, like having people around us!” he said nodding, sure of what he had said.

She watched the wand with great fascination. She knew little of wand-lore but it fascinated her so. She had been reading what she could from the library about it. Maybe if she could learn the craft somehow she could manage to make a go of it. Garrick Ollivander couldn't be around forever, after all. She could see herself having a shop right there in the heart of Diagon Alley, taking over in his place. She wondered if he needed an apprentice... That, and she liked making things out of wood. She had made a badger out of wood since being at Hogwarts.

"But there were people around, silly," she said as she playfully smacked his arm. Alina had a way of treating people, once she decided to talk to them, like she had known them for years instead of minutes. "And Bren is here," it was her nickname for Crystal. "She'll probably tease me on end for the next seven years."

"So tell us, since this is the...Hufflepuff Great Lake Social Club, exactly who IS Ancel Wandlow? What are the important specifics we should take away from this first initial meeting?" she smiled. Now that she was making friends at Hogwarts she wanted to make as many as she could and she wanted this boy to be among them.

Crystal was smirking, clearly holding back some laughs. She gave a thumbs up towards Alina and looked over towards Ancel, he seemed to be relaxing a bit. That just made her want to draw him even more. Must be something about the scenery being so pretty that makes her want to solidify the moment through art. Thats a good idea for a kind of journal actually, a diary that keeps down events through drawings. She'll have to find a sketchbook for that at some point, but first she needs something to draw on something other than her arm. "I won't tease you for it forever..." She said, her mind too distracted to hear Alina question Ancel as she drew couple more sketches on her arm. "Hey Ancel do you have some paper or something? Also, do you mind looking out to the water?" She asked him, stepping side to side to see what angle would give her a good background. She often got distracted easily, and the opportunity to do a portrait of someone overweighed her amusement of Alina's wording. Her brain was flying through everything, the light and how it was bouncing off everything would be hard to get right without the proper reference and angle. Should she draw him from the front or from the side? "Its probably better to do it from a side angle.." she muttered. She was now completely distracted from whatever the other two are talking about.

"And they say I'm the bossy one," she interjected to Ancel. Alina, not wanting to be in the way, went and sat down on the edge of the grass.

It was an awfully nice day, a nice day to just enjoy the outdoors and also spend time with some housemates. She envisioned this must be the kind of peace that her twin sister Bella had thought the entire time at Hogwarts but only recently was she experiencing it. It was nice. A sort of calmness.

"Look at that cloud!" she gasped and pointed up at the sky, "it looks like a rabbit. Tell me it doesn't look like a rabbit. You'll be a liar! A right liar! Look at it. Both of you." She kept her hand pointed to the sky as she looked to Ancel and then back to Crystal, demanding they look at it. It did appear to have two big ears and even a cotton-ball like tail.

And then it slowly began to morph. "And there he goes," Alina whispered as she watched it. It moved across the sky as it slowly slipped into another position which Alina thought now looked like a unicorn.

Honestly, when Ancel had been asked to show the magic wand, he found a little strange at the question because it wasn't what they used to ask him - but they had asked much weirder questions, so he wasn't quite surprised after all... He smirked “There isn't enough for them to hear us, it's just you two and me.” he replied rolling his eyes as if his answer was the most obvious; he stared at Crystal where Alina had commented that she would end up teasing her for a long time “Well... Sometimes friendships can be based on mutual respect and knowing how to have fun.” he explained smiling.

He shrugged because describing himself was much more complicated “Honestly, I doubt it is really easy to explain who I am... Not even being twelve years old, nor my family, nor my twin nor I have discovered who we are. But Dean and I have decided that only we can define who we are.” he explained tilting his head as he bit his tongue, thinking about how to explain about him “I will be honest, it is very difficult to be able to 'describe' what I am, but at least you are seeing who I really am.” he replied as he bit his lower lip, thinking for a few seconds - since it wasn't really easy to tell.

He looked at Crystal who had asked him for paper, but Ancel had brought nothing except his wand “My apologies madame, I am carrying nothing.” he explained with a shrug, and raised an eyebrow at the question “What do you need water for?” he asked... Not long after, Alina started talking about the figures that appeared in the sky “Truly, I think it is a mouse, to be specific.” he replied as he continued to watch Crystal closely, who seemed to be quite distracted by something that kept his mind out of the 'place' they were in, something that said nothing about it.

Alina looked up to the sky as the boy spoke about himself and she hoped that he'd find himself along the way. He didn't seem confident in who he was yet, at least that was her opinion on the matter. And as he spoke, something caught her attention more than anything else. A twin? He mentioned his twin, Dean.

You have a twin?" she sat up quickly and looked to the boy. There were lots of twins in the world but she had yet to meet anyone else that had one, besides her own sister of course and that twin being her. A lot of the students had siblings but siblings were different than twins. Twins meant someone was by your side since day 1 and so many shared experiences through life, looking at it through the eyes of the same age.

"I've got a twin, too! She's also here at Hogwarts. In Slytherin. Her name is Bella." She stood up now and looked back to make sure she wasn't blocking Crystal's view. She knew too that throughout history there was fascination with twins. Some cultures seemed to worship the notion, some thought the replication was evil. Some doctors studied it.

Crystal was rather annoyed by the fact of not having proper paper, but she was still determined to draw. So she started to draw a more complex drawing of Ancel on her arm. Even if it was more difficult, she still wanted to do it. "Both of you have twins, that's neat! I've always wanted a sibling, but that never seemed to happen. My parents don't really like to talk about it for some reason though, they always change the subject," She mentioned while she was working on doing Ancel's face. She never thought to hard about it, to her that was normal. She was the only child, though in the back of her mind she always felt like she did have a sibling. Like when she was younger one was there, but there isn't anyone around today. Her parents never talk about it, so it was probably just an imaginary friend she made up to fill her want for company. She was too young to properly remember it anyways. "What's it like, having a sibling?" She asked the two, "Having a permanent friend for life?" She always wanted that. She always wished she had a twin, something about it just felt right. But that wasn't what happened. But she was also always curious about other's experiences, so asking her friends about it was better than just guessing what it would be like.

"Sometimes its a hassle getting mistaken for the other. But we didn't get a lot of experiences with other kids so having Bella there was a god sent for me," she began. "Someone to share learning with and experiences with..." she trailed off a little. She would talk more if it were just Crystal there. She would tell her all about how things were changing now though with Bella in Slytherin and her in Hufflepuff, but it just didn't seem appropriate with Ancel there.

Crystal was a pretty close friend and Ancel just someone she had just met. Spilling details about her sorted homelife just didn't seem like the best idea. In fact, it was making her feel quite down. Alina came over to sit next to Crystal so she could watch her drawing for a moment. She always did like to see the talents of others.

"I like it," she said, complimenting the drawing. It was a good drawing, and helped that Ancel himself was cute. Alina then went through her schoolbag to get access to her bag of lemon drops where she took another one. She grew quiet and it wasn't too much like Alina Rosier to grow quiet.

He used to ramble very often about his thoughts, plus he liked to express everything he thought, even if it was nonsense - since he considered it better to talk about everything rather than save it “Yes, I have one.” he replied with a smile as he thought about his twin, who would surely be somewhere trying to have fun, however, he was more worried about what could end up in the said place he was, but he stared at the two girls who were with him “Well, Dean is from Hufflepuff, he is always with me always although now I don't know where he is...” he murmured, really wondering where Dean was... Maybe he was playing with other friends or walking around the castle, if he knew him very well.

He looked at Crystal who was talking about wanting to have a brother but her parents used to avoid the topic in conversations, something that did not seem strange to him because perhaps it was that her parents having a child was enough for them... But he was not going to say anything, because he did not know if Crystal could be offended or if she started to get in a bad mood “Maybe the time will come, sometimes it is not very satisfactory for some parents regarding having children.” Ancel explained tilting his head and looked at what Crystal was drawing until he could see that she was drawn him, something that pleasantly surprised him because he did not think that he could be.
