Rosie was absolutely loving the gorgeous weather outside. She was really, really happy to have finally finished with classes for the day. She was planning on taking her homework outside with her, and perhaps doing it on a bench or in the grass. The sun was shining, she couldn't see any clouds at the moment, and a light breeze was making her hair move slightly while keeping her from getting too warm. It was beautifully perfect.
She sat down, pulling her supplies out from her bag. She really needed to go through the thing soon, since she had far too much just stuffed in there. Lots of it was useful, like plasters and pens, but others were not, like the few candy wrappers stuffed in there because she didn't want to litter and couldn't find a bin.
She began to write, looking at the assignments. She didn't typically want to complete the work, but she liked the fact that she was getting to learn the magical things in the first place. She still found herself fascinated by the magical world, with growing up thinking she was a Muggle and all.
She thought that she could hear music of some sort, coming from near her, but she wasn't quite sure...

Axel and Rose are Briar's siblings!Briar walked outside, her hair swaying due to the wind. It was a pleasant day, and she also hasn’t got much work. Well, she had done most of it anyways, so it should be fine of she left a bit, right? She still didn’t know how she was sorted into Ravenclaw, she was the one who looked for excuses not to do work, while the other Ravens looked for some to do it. It was weird, Rose and Axel always used to tell her that. Yet, she was content. Even though she was still a bit homesick, it didn't hurt as much as it used to. She had owled her parents recently, told her they were proud of her, and to stay away from trouble and from Axel. Like that was ever going to happen. Rare occurrence.
She really did need to get back into action; she had stayed away from trouble for way too long. She had to decide something, but her brain was on sleep mode. She could complete her homework...but she was never going to do that.
She started walking round in circles, mentally thinking up words for a new song. She started humming a tune, joining it with words one by one. Rose would help with the harmonies later.
She then saw a blonde girl with pink highlights...Rosalyn? That was her name right?
She was really pretty, the pink suited her curly hair a lot. She was feeling extra extroverted today, so she went up to her confidently.
"Hey! I'm Briar, nice to meet you!"

Rosie turned the page in her textbook, muttering to herself as she read it over.
"Imps are...okay, got that, but what about...oh, that makes sense!" she muttered, writing down answers before she forgot them. At the speed her brain went, refusing to slow down, she knew that the likelihood of forgetting things if she didn't get them down immediately was rather high.
She heart humming then singing from somewhere close to her, but didn't mind at all. Whoever was doing it had a rather good musical sense, and Rosie was more than happy to continue working while hearing the tune.
"Oh, hi there! I'm Rosie, Rosie Willows!" she said, dropping the book from her hands because of surprise when the girl just walked up to her and said hi. Usually Rosie was the one to do things that confidently, so she was really happy to get a break from being the extroverted one.
"By the way, you're great at singing!" she said, standing up so that the distance between them wouldn't be so awkward. She looked pretty and nice, an excellent combination. Rosie herself enjoyed music, but never sang in front of people. She was too nervous for that, because what if she were to fail? But, she loved to listen, and perhaps would one day get around to learning how to play an instrument. Ah, only time would tell.
