Operation: Past Curfew PV Kaylie Lovens Closed

"I thought we could maybe head over to the East end over there," she pointed. "I don't know, see if any creatures comes out at night or you could show me some of that ballet." She looked over to her friend. "Now or never, right?" and being outside there was plenty of room. "You know...I think that'll be your nickname, come to think about it. At least, if you don't mind it..." usually she didn't ask others opinions on what she decided to call them. "I think Kaylie Lovens is one of the best names I've heard, I just like giving people an extra little name and I think yours is going to be Saylor."

She smiled, knowing Kaylie would be confused so she continued. "It's an English surname but derived from old French. We have the word sailleor meaning 'dancer.' There's also Terpsichore, the Greek godess of dance but that's a little more difficult to say...and remember."

"Then again, I also just like K.LOVE, but that might make you sound like a muggle rapper from the 90s...but I still like it very much regardless of so." Sometimes this nickname thing was hard! She'd figure it out, maybe Kaylie even liked some of these choices that she had just been given.

They didn't see really any night time creatures, there was some kind of rodent type animal that scurried by and scared them at one point, and maybe a bat...or it could have been a late night owl delivering a message. Either way, both girls didn't expect it and screamed each time, only to stop in silence thinking they might be caught but nothing. Then, once they realized they were in the clear, it made them both laugh.

So it wasn't all that much of "an adventure" but it was a good experience for the two girls who would be roommates for their time at Hogwarts and being eleven, it was adventure enough. "You know what my problem is?" Alina said of her lack of dancing abilities here, "I've got the flexibility but I just don't have the grace." Maybe she needed longer legs or something but somehow she just didn't think she looked as elegant as Kaylie did doing these things. Actually, she was quite sure of it.

She tried one of the twirls that Kaylie had been showing her and for the third time in a row, fell straight on her backside. "Still think I'm not hopeless?" she asked with a smile.

I kept my chin held high and I stayed determined and kept trying. I'm sure one day you'll get it.

Alina got up once more and tried one of the twirls that Kaylie had been showing her and for the third time in a row, fell down on her bum. "Still think I'm not hopeless?" she asked with a smile. Kaylie smiled back at Alina " No. No I don't. Kaylie got up and did the pirouette. " When you do it one foot goes to your knee. I usually put my right foot to my left knee, but you can do whatever you find comfortable.

It was so much better when Kaylie did it. Alina wasn't in front of a mirror, but she knew that it looked so much better when Kaylie did it. And she was okay with that. Maybe dancing wasn't her thing in life, although she did want to look elegant when she danced at her wedding and she wanted to be able to dance at the school dances just fine.

She watched her friend as she danced. It was relatively easy to see her despite the growing darkness, for the moon was full and bright. "Okay, I'll try it one more time..." she said as she stood up. But the two girls were distracted by a noise.

In the distance there was a howl. A long, drawn out, sort of haunting sounding howl and Alina froze. She looked over to Kaylie, hoping that she had maybe imagined it because it sounded creepy.

"K Love..." she decided she liked that one, "Umm," but then there was another one but a different tone. Another howl. Another creature. Coyote? Wolf? ...Werewolf? "Maybe we should begin back inside, yes?" her voice was shaky and it was clear she was nervous.

Surely it was a wolf or something and wolves notoriously kept their distance from people...but then again, her eyes did lift to see the full moon.

Alina just gave her friend a look like why do I have to be so short?! but she was able to grasp her hand long enough, to then take hold of the ledge and also pull herself up. "I'm so glad we're on the first floor," she thought of the other houses. Weren't the Gryffindors and Ravenclaws up in the tower or something? She wasn't quite sure and of course had never seen their area of the castle.

Now that the two girls were safely back inside with all their belongings, Alina turned and closed the window securely. She didn't think whatever it was out there could still get them but she feel a little better with it locked. "I wonder what that was," she whispered.

"Surely it wasn't werewolves..." I mean, werewolves were people with a condition so they wouldn't live in the Forbidden Forest or anything. If they were werewolves that would mean they were sometimes just like her and Kaylie and werewolves didn't live at Hogwarts. That meant they'd have to be students or professors... Alina paused.

"You don't think there are werewolves here at Hogwarts, do you?" Would that even be safe??? She looked back to her friend. "And if so, what else is here?"
