An "interesting" night
"Do you think you'll do it professionally some day? The dancers at The Royal Ballet are...amazing. Amazing isn't even the word. They're remarkable. I mean, some people give ballet a bad name but they haven't really experienced a ballet then. It's very powerful." Kaylie smiled and said " Oh, I really hope so. That would be such a wonderful experience.
"You seem very good, even in this small space." "A girlfriend of my father tried to teach Bella and I once. Bella picked it up perfectly," ...as always, "while I was simply hopeless. Completely hopeless. It didn't help that the only reason she was doing it was trying to get closer with her father. Little did she know that going through his daughters wasn't the way to win his eye," Kaylie shook her head and put her hands on Alina's shoulder's. " Alina... She paused and smiled at he looking her in the eyes "You're not hopeless. If I teach you and I teach as well as my teacher taught me we can both become professionals someday...together When Kaylie said this she said it with confidence and encouragement. " I promise you. Now are we going to carry out this mission or not. Kaylie smiled with a determined look on her face.

An "interesting" night
Alina didn't know about ballet but she did know about Operation: Past Curfew. "Right then," she looked down at her watch. Alina liked to appear as though she had everything all together and in many ways she did...her organized notes, her watch to keep precise time. Yet there was also so much that she didn't have together but such was life.
"Wait here," she whispered, even though they hadn't been whispering the entire time. They were in the Abandoned Toilets and really didn't need to. She poked her head out to look down the second floor corridor. The Study Room was also on this floor and if others were wandering around the castle, it was quite well that they'd be still wandering around these corridors as the Study Room was one of the last places some of the students went to in the evening.
She came fully back inside. "Coast is clear. Now, if all the students are back into the Common Rooms and Dorms by now, I would assume that means that the head boys and girls, the prefects, and the professors are probably roaming the hallways. Leave it to a school like this to not trust their students," she shook her head. "I mean really, to think that students would be sneaking out past curfew...the idea is just crazy," but she smiled at the irony and motioned for Kaylie to start following as she popped out and into the corridors.

"Right then," Alina looked down at her watch. "Wait here," she whispered, even though they hadn't been whispering the entire time. Alina poked her head out of the door and the she came fully back inside. "Coast is clear. Now, if all the students are back into the Common Rooms and Dorms by now, I would assume that means that the head boys and girls, the prefects, and the professors are probably roaming the hallways. Leave it to a school like this to not trust their students," she shook her head. "I mean really, to think that students would be sneaking out past curfew...the idea is just crazy," but she smiled at the irony and motioned for Kaylie to start following as she popped out and into the corridors. Kaylie followed behind Alina carefully and quietly,but the truth was she had to sneeze. Kaylie had her wand tucked inside her sweater.

An "interesting" night
The got down the one corridor just fine and came to a crossroads. Alina stuck her hand out, indicating for them to stop. Slowly, every so slowly, she peeked out, first to the left, then to the right, then quickly back behind them. So far, so good.
So they turned the corner left so they could get to the staircase. "...Are we staying inside or going outside?" she whispered, unsure really where they were even going! They had to have a destination in mind. Glancing around and knowing that the corridor near past curfew was no place to talk, she quickly darted into an empty classroom, her friend following.
"Sorry, we cannot talk out there. Are we staying inside or going outside?" Surely staying inside was much more risky as far as being caught but if they went outside...did they lock the castle itself at a certain time? It would be one thing to be locked out of the dormitories past curfew but to be locked out of the entire castle??? Still, Alina was one who was up for anything so she was ready to risk it either way and decided to let the other girl choose this adventure of theirs.

An "interesting" night
...Are we staying inside or going outside?" Alina whispered, Kaylie put her hand to her chin. Alina went into an empty classroom and Kaylie followed. "Sorry, we cannot talk out there. Are we staying inside or going outside?" Alina asked again. "There is a less chance of us getting caught if we stay inside so we have to go outside. Don't worry I left our window open a small bit so we can get back inside." Kaylie stood by the door way and poked her head out a small bit and pulled it back in "Coast is clear. Lets do this"

An "interesting" night
”Alright so we follow the path of least resistance!” Alina took a moment to think what she knew of the castle layout. They would avoid the moving staircases because sometimes they took far too long. ”Follow me.”
The girls exited the empty classroom and crept down the corridors. There weren’t any others in this area of the castle right now to catch them but when they stopped to look around another corner there was a clearing of the throat that startled them both.
“Excuse you! Don’t you know it’s about right time for curfew! Get back to your dormitories at once!” It was the voice of the portrait hanging above them, a prude looking old man who never had fun a day in his life. Obviously this portrait didn’t understand. These girls weren’t caring about curfew nor were they going to their rooms. This was Operation: Past Curfew.
Alina looked up to the portrait and stared it down. ”Oh shut it, old man. The man in the portrait did not seem to appreciate that and Alina looked back to Kaylie with wide eyes. Did she just say that? Yeah she just said that. She laughed and then covered her mouth as she motioned her friend to follow again.

An "interesting" night

The girls exited the empty classroom and slowly walked down the corridors. There weren’t any others in this area of the castle right now to catch them but when they stopped to look around another corner there was a clearing of the throat that startled them both.
“Excuse you! Don’t you know it’s about right time for curfew! Get back to your dormitories at once!” It was the voice of the portrait hanging above them, a cruel looking old man who looked like he had never had fun ever. This portrait didn’t understand. These girls didn't care about making it back to their dorms before curfew.
Alina looked up to the portrait and stared it down. ”Oh shut it, old man. The man in the portrait did not seem to appreciate that and scowled at them both. Alina looked back to Kaylie with wide eyes. Alina laughed and then covered her mouth as she motioned for Kaylie to continues following again. Kaylie took one last look at the portrait stuck her tongue at it and blew a very quiet raspberry. The girls continued to walk down the hallway quietly.

An "interesting" night
Everything was going quite smoothly until they got near the Entrance Hall. It nearly spilled right into The Great Hall where SEVERAL professors were gathered having a nice late evening chat. "Oh brother..." she muttered softly. Part of her wanted to take one of the objects in the hallway, toss it as far as she could the other way, and create a distraction but no, then they'd know someone's been there. "We're going to have to go across the entrance way one at a time so not be caught, then wait underneath the table there," she pointed," until everyone leaves. If we try to go out the doors with everyone there, they might hear." Old castles and their heavy wooden doors.
Alina let Kaylie go first and waited on the lookout. She got to the table just fine and Alina smiled, feeling it was the dancer in her. Okay, her turn. She watched as the professors talked and talked and talked. HOW COULD THEY HAVE THIS MUCH TO TALK ABOUT! It was almost painful. Finally, their conversation seemed to die down and they all leaned over to grab their tea cups to clean up and retire for the night or whatever it was in their plans. That was her moment and quickly she raced against the open area of The Great Hall and into the darkness under the table. "Almost there..." she whispered with a smile.
