26th February 2020. Sometime in the afternoon.
A sigh, that was all Noah could manage to do after about ten minutes of trying to study. He had been in the study room for those ten minutes, having convinced himself that he would finish his homework quickly this time as he was in the mood for going on a stroll outside before the sun went down. Unfortunately for him, this turned out to be one of his longer study sessions and he might have to spend more time than he wanted to in the study room.
He had started studying in the study room fairly recently, he usually preferred the library but it became rather painful due to the number of distractions, despite it being a library. He didn't really like the study room as much though, it felt rather intimidating, it didn't feel as friendly or cozy as the library, though maybe that was for the best, considering he only came here to study and that mood worked a bit for him to focus better.
A few minutes later, he ended up scowling as he realised he hadn't understood the question properly but had already filled up half of his page writing the answer and now he would have to start again. It was difficult enough to find the answers he needed in the book as it was, the extra work that he had to do now just because he was too hasty just made him feel even more impatient with the work. Honestly, if the submission date wasn't the next day, he would have just given up.
No, what was he thinking? It had barely been fifteen minutes, he could take more than that. Maybe he just needed to relax a bit before going back to it? He put his quill down and leaned back, breathing deeply to try and get rid of his frustration before going back to his studies.

The study room made for an occasional adequate change of pace. The limited room was quite mundane, though it provided the perfect environment for studying. Seul would regularly study in the library, however, at times it would become a bit too crowded to concentrate. Bright beams of natural light reflected across the many empty desks, accommodating students with ample light. Today was more quiet than usual, with only another boy studying. He just so happened to be sitting next to Seul, but given the environment, the girl doubted he would be much of a bother. She fixed a few loose strands of hair before re-immersing herself into the hefty textbook in front of her.
Not five minutes have passed before Seul was interrupted from her read. The boy next to her seemed to be troubled, scowling and grunting impatiently as he hastily flipped through his book. The girl shook her head and released a deep sigh before attempting to shut the distraction out. Then, almost as if on cue, the boy suddenly calmed down and leaned his back against his chair, taking intervals of deep breaths. Seul was disturbed at how flustered the boy was, and even a bit concerned. It wouldn’t hurt to ask, right?
Readjusting herself, Seul inquired the boy: “Are you… alright? Do you need to go to the hospital wing?”

Noah kept thinking about how he should probably not waste time relaxing which made it harder to relax but he knew he needed to if he wanted to work properly, he wouldn't do any good if he studied under pressure but his stupid brain just wouldn't shut up.
That's when he heard a girl sitting near him speak up and looked at her, slightly shocked. He felt like laughing a little when she asked him if he needed to go to the hospital wing but he simply shook his head at her, "I'm alright, just struggling a bit with studying, that's all..." He said, ending it with a sigh and looking back down at his messy desk...
It wasn't even that often he got caught up with studies, as he did spend a good amount of his time studying (mostly because he had nothing else to do) but he had the habit of getting carried away with topics and getting distracted. Or like this time, a particularly hard homework would delay him and he'd have to rush to cover up the rest of his homework, he really had to figure out a way to get things back on track, things just wouldn't work out if they kept on going this way...
