"A hippogriff would be an interesting sort of pet...but aren't they big? Really big?" Like bigger than a horse big. "I think if I could have any magical creature as a pet, it would be a pygmy puff, or a crup, or a bandicoot." She had once given it a lot of thought. Still, if she thought about it and was going to get down and get serious about it, she would go for the pygmy puff because hello - they're adorable.

She then placed her hands on her friends shoulder and guided her out of the row of books. "Shh, quiet now, quiet. We're in the library and all. Must be quiet in the library. Thank me later, kindly," she said jokingly. What she had been doing though was getting her friend away from the Magical Beast section of the library because once she got there, there was no telling what it would take to get her out.

"Do they have those here? A hippogriff? I wonder what kind of magical creatures the school really has and if its possible to get a look before third year..." Alina was always thinking of a way to get into trouble and explore the world around her.

Meredith nearly jumped a mile when she heard Alina talk and say "A hippogriff would be an interesting sort of pet...but aren't they big? Really big?" and Meredith replied," Well I mean I guess they might be kind of big but my yard is really really big so I thing I would be fine." " And how and where would you get a bandicoot or a crup at this age." She said trying to get fair because Alina said a hippogriff was too big. "I still want a hippogriff a whole lot, and who say there are no hippogriffs in the Forbidden Forest because that is where they are going tomorrow because I know that the Forest was a place that Alina really wanted to go to break the rules." Meredith thought to herself. She was dragged from the Magical Creatures section of the Library forcefully and Alina being short and all she was very strong or Meredith was really weak and that was most likely it. " So how was the horrible and dreadful Hufflepuff common room? Wait, let me guess was it so bright and covered in yellow and black bees and flowers with smiles!" She said laughing her face off trying to be very quiet but was failing horribly. Five minutes later Meredith recovers from her laugh attack and said really quietly and very seriously, "Are you ready for the best thing of your life? Well I talked with someone and they said that we could go into the Forest. The person I talked to does not exist for they are not real but imaginary people from when I was seven there is: Fluff(cat) Ali(sister Dean(brother) Mrs. Mom(mother) and Mr. Monkey(father)"

Alina watched the girl with a blank expression - just stared at her really, then blinked. Now she named those in the portraits she passed that were on the walls of Hogwarts, she renamed pets of those she felt named them wrong, and she gave out names to some students who she never spoke to...but imaginary people from childhood? "Mer..." she just tilted her head, trying to think on it again. "Mer, did you really invent an ENTIRE FAMILY of imaginary friends growing up?" Then again, not everyone had the benefit of having a twin sister. Maybe this was normal?

She shook her head and smiled. Even if Meredith had, it wouldn't matter. She valued her friend's uniqueness. "Come along Future-Hippogriff-Owner, we've much to discuss!" They went to a small wooden table near a corner of the library and Alina sat down - getting right to business. She pulled out a pad of parchment, her quill and ink well, and her bag of lemon drops before sitting down. "Okay, we need to decide on a day, on a time. We will need a list of of what we should bring, what we plan/plan to see, and we'll need to figure out our wardrobes." Fashion was a must, wasn't it?

She looked back up to Meredith after having written that all that down. "You know, truth is..." she paused after having realized something with her friend, "if we see any creatures at all in there - good or bad - I don't see us getting to Hogsmeade at all." Her friend was completely hopeless when it came to magical creatures and would just want to absorb herself there.

"Ummm Well I Um kind of did have a whole family of my own because my father ignored me for a while so um yeah." She said kind of embarrassed. "What does she mean be what to wear when we go to the Forest? And that is the worst looking book behind Alina wait that is a book on what YES!!!! Baby Hippogriffs. but this is not the Magical Creatures section of the Library but it is the baby animals section I can not let Alina know this. Meredith slowly got up and walked over to the selves and pick up the Baby Hippogriff book and sat back down to read it under the table. Alina was talking and Meredith was ignoring her a bit so she could read this Baby Hippogriff book. "if we see any creatures at all in there - good or bad - I don't see us getting to Hogsmeade at all." Alina was saying and Meredith said,"Uh, What did you say Alina? Oh ah Hogsmeade right not right now I am kind of busy." " Can we um just wear whatever we want because it does not really matter, Right?" Meredith regretted saying that because she knew that Alina really tried to pick out the most perfect outfit but always finds a way to look great.

She blinked. Did her friend really just say it didn't really matter what they wore? It ALWAYS mattered! Even when choosing an outfit one slept in, they had to take in the fact that there could be a fire and quick abandon would be necessary. People would then SEE what she chose to wear.

Sometimes her and Meredith were in two different worlds but she accepted that and didn't try to change people. It was actually one of the great things about life - the variety of it all. A field of wildflowers would be far less astounding if all the flowers looked the same.

"What are you..." she looked at Meredith who seemed to try and play off innocence but Alina's eyes narrowed. She literally hopped her small body onto the table and reached forward, snatching the book from her hands and looked at the cover. "Mer...you are hopeless," she said but laughed. "How are you ever going to hear anything I say when you've got cute adorable baby Hippogriffs on every page?" She held out the book back to her so she could have it back.

"But hey...the father thing...I am sorry about that. My father's never really been too much in the picture either."

Alina's words surprised Meredith because she thought that Alina had her whole family with her all of the time because of how she acted. "Wow I did not know that. I have always thought that you had your whole family with all the time because of how you act and stuff. My father almost completely shut me out when my mother died." She said slowly getting quieter and quieter. " Should not of said anything about my mother dying Father would of been super duper very mad at me for that because he did not want that going around like a germ or a virus. Meredith thought about as she took the book back from Alina. " Hey Alina, I never got your last name, What is it? I will not laugh because mine is kind of dumb. we will be going to the Forest on the weekends because if we do not get caught the first time we will go back and if we do get caught time first time we will still go back again no matter what because there is so many things in the Forest like Hippogriffs and Unicorns I really like unicorns and Baby Hippogriffs." She said really wishing that it was the end of the week.

"Rosier," she said. "Of the Rosiers of The Sacred Twenty-Eight..." she didn't feel as proud of that as she had when she first started school. She used to tell EVERYONE. "We're originally from there - France. Je suis Francais," she slipped in some French. "My mum, she also died when Bella, my twin sister and I, were young. My father..." There was a long pause.

How did she begin to explain her father. "My father's love is his work. His life is his work. We were merely a product of a momentary break and wanting a good time. But my grandmother values tradition and didn't need anything besmirching the Rosier family name so he married her and that was about it. She didn't want children, let alone two, and he was always gone...off working and off finding his next good time despite being wed."

"She either hated her life or felt such shame that she'd want to do it anymore. She got fed up and she ended it," she stated, talking about how her mother had ended her own life. She really didn't want to go into any more details and didn't have to because a book on Wizarding Calculations: Level 17 burst into flames on the table next to them. "Oh no! Not again!" she cried and jumped up. Things always seemed to catch fire when she thought too much on this.

When the book lit on fire Meredith almost screamed. " What the heck happened to that book!" She half yelled and half whispered. Then the book was back and completely unharmed in any way. " Wicked! How did you do that Alina or should I call you Ms. Rosier. Meredith said with a teasing grin on her face. " So how was the Hufflepuff Common Room. Wait let me guess was it horrible and covered in bees and flowers with smiles and happy faces and yellow and black hangings." Or was it cover in black skies and sadness." Meredith had no clue on what the Hufflepuff Common Room looked like because she was used to green and silver everywhere. " Bet it was sunshine and rainbows all over the place and smiles on flowers with bees and happy faces all over the place and stuff like that. OMG This picture of a baby hippogriff is sooooo cute OMG! OMG! OMG! She thought to herself. " Alina look at this baby hippogriff it is soooo cute it has its little wings flapping around and it is moving to it is so cute right Alina?" Meredith loved looking at moving pictures for some random reason and it was most likely because she had never seen that before.

She just shook her head but admired Meredith for having such a passion. In fact, she was talking about Magical Creatures just the other day and wished Meredith was there to help comment on the subject.

"Yes, Mer....adorable. As adorable as any little kitten or puppy tumbling together in a wrestling match," but she just shook her head because her friend was unbelievable.

Alina looked back to the book and was glad to see it was out. It probably wouldn't have been if she hadn't be distracted by Meredith's obsession over the baby hippogriffs. "Are you like this with all animals? I mean, I can't think that all things are so adorable as babies...look at birds. They just look weird." Not that it was their fault or anything but featherless birds just seemed like little rats or something. Rats with beaks. How frightening! Alina could imagine all these little rats with beaks scurrying around in the forest and frankly, it wasn't making her much want to go anymore.

"Whatever you do, just make sure you find yourself a boy someday...I can see you being the 'Crazy Hippogriff Lady' instead of the town's Crazy Lady and I think a hippogriff would be much harder to knit a sweater for."
