History/Background Story:
Tya Dres was born in Dublin Ireland and was raised there in a 2 bedroom house. Her father is a librarian, and her mother is a nurse. She plays piano and lyre, and speaks Irish, English, and Spanish, which was taught to he by her bisabuela (great grandmother), Rosa. She went to Our Lady's Primary School in Dublin, and was pretty isolated from her peers. She never really made many friends due to her introverted nature, and spent more time reading than speaking. She is really good at maths and Language, but is terrible at science, causing her to worry about her upcoming potions classes. Tya is shy and slow to trust, but once you get to know her, she tries to be a good friend, and can actually be very bubbly. She has an eye for good natured pranks, enjoying both giving them and taking them, but also has a tendency to confuse her wording when nervous, and can be very clumsy. Her first act of accidental magic was at 5 when she reacted in fear to a horror show that came on the telly by causing it to flicker off. Her parents cursed and blamed demons, not realizing it was her. At 8 she fell off of the playground while with her friends at school and instead of falling floated back up, and at 10 she was reading "Arrows of the Queen", and the sense of wonder and happiness caused images of Rolan and Thalia to come riding out of the book and around her head. She hid these signs from her parents, in fear of their reactions, but confided her secret with Rosa, until she died when Tya was 10, only 4 weeks after the final accidental magic instance. Due to her hiding her magic from her parents, when her letter for Hogwarts came, she was freaked out. Her Parents were not thrilled about her magic, and a representative from Hogwarts had to come and talk to them. They eventually agreed that she could go to school, but would not take her shopping, so the representative had to. She eventually headed to Hogwarts where she was put into Ravenclaw. She loves transfiguration and charms, and hopes to continue her language studies into the magical world, but dreads her potions classes due to her lack of proficiency in muggle science classes. Her dream job is to be a musician. She doesn't really go back for winter or fall holidays, as there is some tension between her and her family.
