Sighting a mythical creature
Checking out the school grounds was a brilliant idea thought Sky as she rounded around the front side of the school. She had just finished visiting and looking at the greenhouse and vegetable gardens and wanted to see the forest.
Sky already knew she would not be able to attend the class for taking care of mythical creatures till her third year at the school, but she did have some high hopes for being able to spot some of the creatures before that. As she approached the forest area, she smiled at how magnificent it looked, its trees arching towards the sky in such a wild array Pine tree, Sycamore, and even Beech trees, it reminded Sky of the forests back at her home in Dereham.
She would play in those until the sun disappeared, though Sky seemed to want to jump into the forest and explore she decided against it.
Considering she did not forget why the people called it the Forbidden forest was enough to keep her from entering, however, she thought that staying in the outskirts of the forest would suffice.As she was looking among the outings of the forest something had caught her eye in the corners, something was hunched over in a section of trees.
Thinking this was a creature she softly crept up to the side of the tree near it. Watching to make sure she did not startle it, she got a good look at it, it was digging a bit in the ground perhaps looking for food. But before Sky could get to look at it anymore a loud group of students hooting and hollering managed to scare it away!
Sky sigh annoyed that she had almost had an encounter with such creature she thought maybe if she waited by the trees it would come back. So she went off to sit by the trunk of a Sycamore tree and began to wait.

Cameron heard a girl sit by the tree as he got up and walked around it. He looked down at her and smiled as he closed the book in his hands.
"Hi, I'm Cameron. I saw the creature too, not close, but from a distance. I was actually sketching the animal. See.." Opening his book he showed her the sketch of the animal. Not one of the best of his drawings but he managed to do better at this one. He looked back in the direction of where the animal once stood and then looked back at her. "I don't think the creature would come back anytime soon. They only show when students aren't around. Next time if we can recognize what it is we can ask the Care of Magical Creatures Professor what type of creature it is. It's best to know the creature and how to defend yourself from one if they are a threat." Nodding his head and then looking around the grounds to see who else came out of the castle. A few Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws, one Slytherin and many Gryffindors. He was curious on what the other students were up to and if they finished their homework already. Cameron sat down next to her and began flipping through the pages of his book.

Kaegen came shooting along the ground, a feather borne by a favorable wind. He was outside, and had left his shoes somewhere. The grass and dirt felt so right, so GOOD! He froze for a second behind the tree, and heard the two other students talking about a magical creature. The good feeling he had a second ago tripled. This was what he had done every day of his life! He ran in the fens, he found magical animals, he did so many things, most of them having something to do with the fascinating creatures. Either that or plants. He moves to the side of the girl, and looks more at the pair in general, speaking even softer than usual. But the wind through the grass voice, though quieter, seemed excited. There was energy there, like a quiet storm cloud on the horizon. You knew there was something behind it, you just hadn't seen anything yet.
"If you want, we could go find it" He ventured the question, a smile beginning to spread even wider across his face. Who cared what the forest was called? He survived the fens as a child, a forest next to the worlds foremost wizarding school would hardly pose a threat.

When Sky had heard the boy talk about the creature he saw too made her feel more glad that there was another witness. She looked at the boys sketch and was amazed at how well detailed and lined it was, “Wow, that’s amazing, I’m sure glad I wasn’t the only one who saw it”.
She wanted to bring up the topic of where she could find the Professor at; however, she felt she needed to introduce herself. “Sorry I’m Sky”. Just then Cameron sat down, yet once again before she could ask him about the book he was reading another boy came from nowhere it seemed to Sky and had said in what seemed like a whisper that they could go find it. Sky had one of those feelings you get when something exciting crossed your mind and gave you the Goose Willy’s.
She knew what could happen if they did indeed go in search of the creature, but the boy who suggested giving Sky a new found chance feeling that going to look for the creature was indeed a wonderful idea. Sky was not sure how to approach this topic, so she softly, just blurted out, “Really??”
She was in fact not confused or puzzled by his notations, but for good measures and not to seem like she heard what she wanted to hear she seemed that was the best way to ask. For confirmation.

"Of course," He said, the storm cloud in his voice gathering still more power as he thought of what they would find in the forest. "If you want to come." The boy hadn't said anything yet, but that didn't matter. He would tag along if he wanted to, and they were wasting time. It seemed strange to him that the girl didn't believe he was telling the truth. But maybe she just didn't trust people right off, he could respect that. Or she was just making sure she heard him. He may have been a tad quiet.
Looking off into the forest, he was filled with a sense of foreboding. But the good kind. The kind you get right before a roller coaster. When your body is about to pump you full of adrenaline but it hasn't happened quite yet. He hadn't really seen what kind of creature it was, but it didn't matter.
Kaegen slipped up the tree, as nimble and light as a squirrel, and stopped on one of the higher-up branches. He looked out into the trees, searching for any sign of the creature they had spotted earlier. He hoped the girl was good with a wand. Personally, he only knew one spell. And wingardium leviosa was not going to be of much help in there. Smiling, Kaegen climbed back down, and waited for an answer.

Sighting a mythical creature
Delighted in the thought of going into the forest to look for the creature made Sky certain now that they could do it. She was gladder that someone would be accompanying her. She was not so much afraid of the boy who had suggested it, but more along the lines of intrigued. He seemed daring and ready to go at a moment’s notice Sky smiled as the boy climbed up the tree. Amazed at how quick and easily he climbed to Sky he seemed like he had done that many times she thought he could be a pro at it. She thought in her head what she would say when he did come back down. Which was not too long after stood and waited for a reply.
“That sounds like a great idea I have been wanting to maybe if we hurry, we can find it.” She quickly shouldered what she had brought with her and set to fix her hair up into a ponytail. This kind of adventuring was going to need a lot of moving between the trees and the thought of her big curly crazy hair getting snagged on something was not much an exciting thing.

Sighting a mythical creature
A huge, maniacal grin spread wide across Kaegen's face. He had been wanting to go into the forest, and now he finally got the chance. He took off, running in the direction of the tall, menacing trees.
His feet hardly seemed to touch the ground, he could feel the wind on his face. When he reached the edge of the woods, he stopped and waited for the girl to catch up.
He should probably move a bit slower from now on. A bit more careful. He saw the girl pull up her red hair into a ponytail. Getting ready for the upcoming adventure. He made a mental checklist in his head of the multitude of powerful spells he had at his disposal.
1. wingardium leviosa
Well, he thought. Maybe not exactly a multitude, but he never needed spells before. Then again, he never had anyone else go with him before, at least not anyone that wasn't incredibly powerful like his grandfather. He kept facing forward as his soft voice somehow carried behind him, to the girl he was going with. "What spells can you cast?" The slytherins probably had special evil spell classes he wasn't allowed to go to. It wouldn't surprise him, they all seemed to have just a few more spells then the people around them. Or maybe it was just a comparison thing, him seeing them with more than one spell, and assuming they must have much more.

While Sky adjusted her hair the boy shot into the forest and yet again surprised her. She had to wonder how someone with his stature could be so fast and Sky had what she would like to call short legs fast heels, but she herself could not be that fast compared to him.
It made Sky think that this adventure would be worth going on knowing that if anything dangerous would happen, he would be able to get out in time. Seeing that he was waiting for her, she hurried to join him, hoping she wouldn’t be seen as a nuisance to have around if she truly couldn’t keep up. As she looked back to get a final glance at the school before they settled more into the forest the boy spoke again, but now after hearing it a few times before she could pick it out easily. He had asked her what spells she could cast she thought on this Sky only knew a few spells, and some she had easily learned about in books but never got to practice. She thought about the spells softly in her head.
Alarte Ascendare, Episkey, and Steleus Sky thought that one was too messy so never used it well ever. She did know the occasional other spell that she learned from her father and mother, she learned the unlocking doors one by herself and many more. “I know plenty to help in a situation, but I’m not sure Steleus would do much for a creature well it might make it sneeze enough to run off unless it doesn’t have a nose at all that is.” She giggled at her own expense.

Kaegen didn't know what those spells did, but they sounded impressive. He would have to move slower than usual, but he would also have more spells at his disposal, the girl sounded pretty formidable.
Looking forward into the forest, he seemed to lift off and float forward, slowly this time, as he slipped into the forest. This was his life, and it was glorious.
Further into the forest, sound started to fade away, until the sunny grass by the lake was nothing but a memory. Small dashes of movement, moving across the peripheral vision of the two students appeared occasionally, then vanished. Nothing was clear in the gloom of the forest, once in a while movement could be heard. Movement that neither of them were making. Kaegen silently winced at every move the girl made, but didn't let her see how worried she was. It had been a while since he had been in peril like this. He had forgotten that most people hadn't spent their lives learning how to not be heard. But it was alright, she had her spells. It was alright, she had her spells. Kaegen kept saying this to himself like a mantra, all the while building his courage. When the time came, he did not want to leave the girl. If they were attacked, he would protect her.

As they moved further into the forest Sky did notice sound seemed to stop within the forest except the ones she did make and more frequently the ones that was not theirs. She saw several things amongst the trees and felt not particularly scared, but maybe more or less calm.
She felt that she should be scared and not at peace in this place she thought possibly the forest it was trying to make her feel this way. If it was out of friendliness or malice Sky could not know, but what she did know was the boy was extremely quiet in his movements. Graceful and ghostly she thought she had seen the careful glances he would throw back at her every time she happened to make a noise. She hoped she wasn’t making him nervous or worst annoyed, she had been wanting to talk to him she wanted to know his name and perhaps why he was so quiet. She had a strange image in her head of him teaching her how to be, but thought how silly that could be she thought the chances of them seeing each other outside of this forest were slim. Maybe a few times in classes if they had any together and perhaps in the grand hall at dinner. Sky felt the sudden urge to take out her tarot cards she wanted no needed to do so in the moment. Scared she might cause a bit of a ruckus she stopped for a slight bit and pulled out her soft cloth full of her many cards and continued her way with the boy.
