Stars, planets, black holes, moons, galaxies, and meteors. The outer space never failed to fascinate Harumi, it defied logic and intuition. How can there simply be a whole other world outside what her eyes can see? How can she look up at the sky and see tiny lights illuminating her world and yet they're long gone? As if even their demise couldn't erase their print, they continue to shine until finally the last ray of light will reach her eyes, a final good bye thounds of years after its actual collapse, and then the light fades into nothingness. However, just as everything else in space and even life itself, this is merely the end of a phase and the start of another as a black hole.

----The Lyrids Meteor Shower seemed to be no less fascinating than any other space event, the girl didn't know much about it, other than it's obviously a meteor shower, and that was enough for her to decide to sign up. When she saw the sheet on the announcement board that day, she knew, this is the event she'll look forward to for the next few days.

----Like everyone else, Harumi wanted to go with a friend, but she had no idea who to go with, her brain just gave up and took a nap, but her brain failing her became irrelevant when the answer came right to her Cassie-shaped. The older student was such an amazing person in Harumi's opinion, so she was quite happy to go with her, things were always more fun with Cassie around, even routine chores like cleaning became a whole other game. Cassie became something akin to a role model for Harumi, the girl never looked up to others, because there always seemed to be this part of her that distrusted others, she'll trust their ability to do this or that, but blind trust in the other person's ideals was, and still is, something she feared. However, Cassie just seemed to be what Harumi wanted to become, at least in the basic aspect, the girl in Haru's opinion is smart, carefree, creative and kind, exactly what she would like to be.

----After being gathered in the Great hall, Harumi looked around for Cassie until she saw her, she quickly approached her as she waved. "Hi!" She greeted. Cassie had also brought a boy, George, with her, another Ravenclaw student in the same year as Harumi, the Hufflepuff interacted with him only once before during an unofficial broom race, he was on her team. She was excited to make a new friend now that they have interacted a few times, she's always excited if it's about new friendships. "How have you been, George? And you, Cassie? " Harumi asked happily.

----Soon, the gathered students, themselves included, started making their way to the mountains. Harumi listened attentively to the groundskeeper as he started to tell them about different plants and animals they passed by, the girl was more and more captivated when he explained more about plants, Herbology is one of her favourites after all. The breeze Harumi felt on her face made her smile, what wouldn't she give for this brief walk under the moonlight and stars to last forever. "Doesn't it all feel like a dream?" Harumi wondered, asking no one in particular, but she looked at Cassie and George to see their reactions.

----After an hour long walk, you would think Harumi was tired, but she couldn't help but smile more brightly when she saw all the arrangements made. They were going full camping mode with having to also set up their own tents, they seemed to be able to choose between magical tents or muggle ones, Harumi liked the idea of diversity. Not minding which tent they would choose, Harumi looked at the other two. "Magical tents or muggle tents?" She asked excitedly.

Kaitlyn stayed silent over the walk to the flat plateau in the mountains near Hogwarts. She enjoyed going on walks as often as she could. Sure, a walk was not a hike, but she was also rarely the type of student to voice many complaints … or any, for that matter. Those complaints would, instead, swirl in her mind and make her overthink. Yet, she was also going to be around other students for an extended period of time. As a young prefect, she needed to set a good example for the younger students in attendance.

Besides, with the nice weather, Kaitlyn wouldn’t complain about being out in nature. She vastly preferred it. It was one … out of plenty … reasons for why she loved Herbology, after all! Who wouldn’t love the opportunity to tuck away inside the Herbology greenhouses and tend to a bunch of awesome plants? She would consider that to be a good time and a very good educational opportunity. As a young muggleborn witch, she wanted to try her best to learn as much as possible.

That was also why the young Snake signed up for the Astronomy Internship. The stars, planets, constellations … they were all so beautiful! She enjoyed looking for constellations in the night sky, especially with a telescope. As an Astronomy Intern, it also provided her with more opportunities to investigate the night sky. Truth be told, she made sure to take as many opportunities as she was allowed to watch the stars.

Just like she had with Herbology, Kaitlyn maintained a small journal for constellations, stars, and planets of interest. Her entries were always accompanied by sketches of what she could view … plus plenty of information written in her nice script handwriting. Being out in the field like this, however, she ultimately decided not to bring the journal with her. Fear not, she still had her sketchpad to capture the night’s Astronomical event: The Lyrid Meteor Shower.

Upon the group’s arrival at the mountainside plateau, Kaitlyn giggled quietly as she observed the other students fanning out. Not to mention, the hosts of the evening were clearly holding court with the students interested in what they had to offer. One of her fellow prefects, Elena, along with Professor Townsend, Librarian Doukas, and Groundskeeper Quintero were the ones interacting with groups of students. Filled with stories, plenty of information, and to watch over the students engaging in this nighttime activity.

A smile crossed her lips as Kaitlyn gracefully slipped through the groups of students. Of course, having such a nighttime escapade was nowhere near fulfilling without enjoying relevant snacks of interest. Not feeling terribly hungry … yet (as a growing teenage girl, it was bound to happen eventually) … she decided to swipe a few marshmallows. With the different interactions happening around her, she stood near one of the bonfires toasting her supply of marshmallows … enjoying the crispy (and delicious) morsels!

Kaitlyn slipped through more students, quickly separating herself for a mere few moments. Her enchanted satchel bounced on her hip while she was scouting out the indicated free area to stargaze. Her intended destination. With a delicate twirl, she moved to this quiet section of the plateau. Without trying to bother the other students (as much as her shyness improved over the years since she first came to Hogwarts, it was still simply natural for her to fall into her introverted, quiet nature), she sat on the ground and dropped her satchel next to her.

After a brief rummage, Kaitlyn pulled out her sketchpad along with a simple pencil. With her characteristic practiced ease, she flipped through her many drawings until she landed on a blank sheet. She turned her eyes to the heavens above to see the night’s activity, as her hand started to sketch the night sky to capture what was transpiring.

The week before...

It was a morning such as any other in the Hufflepuff common room: parchment lessons stacked like towers on every available surface, quills scratching softly as students added their evening homework to the piles, a low hum of chatter filling the room. At the back of the common room, by the sunny window seat where Denisse lay sprawled on a pile of cushions, she gazed idly at the notice board.

Curious, she walked over to the group of older students debating Charms theory and paused by the board. Her eyes widened as she read the neat, elegant script. Sign-up for the Lyrid Meteor Shower Excursion on April 22nd. She had heard of the meteor showers before but never thought Hogwarts would be organizing a trip to view it. The words seemed to pulse on the parchment paper, radiating excitement and a sense of adventure. It mentioned the Lyrid meteor showers were "a rare phenomenon, seen once every sixty years." Denisse ran her finger across the lines and her imagination carried her away, seeing streaks of light shooting across the sky. More Hufflepuffs were beginning to notice and around her, second-years were whispering excitedly and one of them was already scribbling down her name. Denisse's eyes widened slightly, before her face fell. As a first-year student, would she be allowed to attend? She picked up the quill lying next to the parchment and carefully penned down her name.

On the day itself, the Great Hall was full after classes, with students chattering and carrying their bags and cloaks. The sight of so many people overwhelmed Denisse. She had never been on a trip with older students before. She slumped her bag further down her back.
The walk was long and Denisse's legs ached, but Taros's voice carried over the group. Taros spoke of the foxes, deer and unicorns that might be nearby while Professor Katherine walked at the back of our group. Denisse scanned the trees as she listened, hoping to catch a glimpse of something moving. Madam Helen's calm presence and made her curious. She looked as if she already belonged to the stars that's about to be chased.

After Taros finished speaking, the huge group continued on their way. Part of Denisse wanted to see the comet in the night sky but the other part of her wanted to go back to the dorms and sleep all day. Denisse stopped and swayed with the troop, trying not to faint.

Eventually, Taros led everyone to a plateau. Before the group lay the tents, fires waiting to be lit, and mountains stretching out like a painting. The smell of pine and damp earth filled Denisse's lungs as the breeze ruffled Denisse's cheeks.

The tent was difficult to set up and Denisse was worried that she wouldn't be able to do it alone. She fumbled with her tent and a Ravenclaw Prefect, Elena, knelt at Denisse's side with a look of kindness. She tied the ropes together and lifted them over Denisse's head, showing her how to tie the ends around the posts. Elena made her feel braver like she wasn't just a clumsy first-year but part of something bigger.

Later, Denisse sat by Helen's fire and listened as she told a story about Orpheus and his lyre. Her voice was soft and melodious that she can almost hear music in the wind. Denisse forgot she was on the ground. She felt as if she was floating on the stars. The charms professor went by with marshmallows and took one for herself. Taros showed the others how to make marshmallows the perfect amount of toasted.

It was getting dark. The sky was turning into black ink and the bonfires looked like tiny suns. It was so quiet Denisse could hear her heartbeat. Denisse wandered from one fire to another as Elena told the other students what constellations were, Helen told myths, Katherine kept everyone cheerful and Taros kept everyone connected to the world.

It was midnight. The fires were extinguished. Silence. Denisse lay down on the grass and felt the cold sinking into her cloak and her heart pounding in her chest. The stars above looked impossibly far away. Then there were streaks of light, zooming across the sky faster than she could blink. Denisse gasped so loudly that the older students laughed but she didn't care. It was more magical than any spell she had seen in class. The meteor flew by like a crack in the sky and spilled light on the dark. In the night, Denisse whispered a wish and prayed that the stars would hear her.

The Slytherin Common Room felt the same as ever before; the scratching of quills on fresh parchment and occasional sounds of pages flipping. Other than those noises, the room was completely silent.

That is, it was until Rosy ran in, panting. "Guys," she said, out of breath. "Come check out the notice board, there's something new on it." There was a slight stir and a few people decided to stay put while others decided to come along and take a look.

The notice board looked very similar to before but a notice that had not been there the following morning hung in elegant black handwriting. Rosy had to appreciate the fact that there were no spots of ink on the paper, making it much easier to read.

Once she was past the fact that the handwriting was stunning, she actually read the notice and she couldn't believe her eyes. Sign-ups for the Lyrid Meteor Shower Excursion on April 22nd!

Rosy was shocked; she had never seen a meteor shower before and had no idea that the school would take them on a trip to see one. She didn't even need to think twice before she wrote her name down with her favorite quill.

She was really excited and couldn't wait for the 22nd of April to come. Naturally, the days fluttered by the night arrived. Rosy was feeling extremely excited but anxious as well. She didn't have any of her friends going with her and was worried that she might get alone.

All the students assembled in the Great Hall after dinner. Rosy felt extremely odd that she was about 1-2 inches taller than everyone else and tried to slouch to look a bit shorter. Suddenly, her mother's voice rang in her head. Wondering what she would say if she saw Rosy standing in such a bad posture, Rosy straightened up immediately.

Then they began walking and kept on walking and walking. The trail seemed to never end. Rosy was beginning to feel sleepy, so she quickly rummaged in her bag to look for the thermos of coffee she had brought with her.

Quickly taking a sip so she didn't get left behind, Rosy kept her eyes peeled while walking as Taros had said that on their walk, they could find some unicorns, deer or foxes around.

Rosy kept scanning the trees and bushes for any sign of movement. In the end, with another small sip of coffee, she decided to give up looking.

Shortly after, they reached the campsite, it was a plateau with really tall grass. the breeze there felt nice and Rosy wanted to just fall asleep. However much she wanted to sleep, she couldn't as teh tents hadn't been set up yet.

The group started putting up their tents. For the first time that night, Rosy felt confident. She had gone on a lot of camping trips and was an expert at putting up tents. She rolled out a tent and began to set it up.

Just as she had expected, the tent was up in no time and Rosy decided to volunteer to help others. After Rosy was done helping others, they all went to Madam Helen's tent, where she told them all a very interesting story about Orpheus and his lyre.

When the story ended and everyone applauded (other than teh ones who had fallen asleep in teh middle of the tory), the charms professor brought marshmallows and Taros taught them how to toast one perfectly.

On her first attempt, Rosy's marshmallow was still slightly raw and she began feeling demotivated when the Ravenclaw prefect, Elena told her to keep trying. Feeling slightly better, Rosy tried again and this time, she got the hang of it.

After a rather tasty dinner of marshmallows, the sky had become very dark, and the bonfires were the only source of light left. Elena was telling teh students all about constellations and Rosy was very eager to listen, she was very interested in astronomy.

Before Rosy knew it, midnight had struck and there was just silence; a pure blank silence that was not to be broken. Even the fires had been extinguished, so Rosy couldn't see anything and decided to sit a bit farther from everyone in case she trod onto someone's hand.

Then, the meteor shower started. It was so amazing, Rosy couldn't blink, otherwise she would surely miss something. White streak of light was now falling upon the darkness illuminating everyone's wonderstruck faces.

Rosy suddenly got an idea; she knew that wishes were supposed to work on shooting stars but that didn't stop her from trying as she closed her eyes and muttered a wish whose sound, thankfully, was drowned out by the loud gasps of everyone else.

Aly seemed to be understanding of Della misplacing her Headliner missive and even more understanding of the fifth-year being swamped in OWL exams. It wasn’t surprising to hear that this trend didn't fade out in the fifth year and rather continued as the students approached NEWTs. This was a worry of Della’s—what would a student’s sixth and seventh years look like if they failed most of their OWLs? How did the professors handle the non-NEWT students versus the NEWT ones? Or worse, what would it look like if they passed all of them? Della knew she wanted at least four NEWT classes on her roster, but could she handle more? Did that look better on a wizarding resume? Were there wizarding resumes? Aly even said she hadn’t meant to scare Della—but the poor fifth-year's head was swimming. Two more years of this stress.

But then the older Ravenclaw began to talk about the upcoming meteor shower. She was repeating information Della had crammed into her head for the Astronomy OWL, but instead of chanting it like a lunatic, Aly was passionately explaining. Oh, she actually enjoys learning about the night sky. How did this seventh-year, about to embark into the frightening world of adulthood, still actually like learning? Della remembered some of her first lessons: commanding a broom “up,” red sparks omitting from her wand, even finding out that a magizoologist was a real career. She was sure she had this kind of passion in the past. Would she find it again?

“I do have a question, er, questions, how did you know what NEWT classes to focus on? Did you end up taking them all? I'm guessing astronomy is one of them? Is this—“ she gestured broadly toward the sky— “something you want to do as like a career?”

Della had never wondered about the sky and space much past what Professor McCoire told them in class. Flying high was her forte, but not that high. Instead, she was more interested in what about Aly’s passion for the subject seemed to keep her, well, grounded.

It had been about a week since Frederick spotted the sign-up sheet pinned to the Gryffindor common room notice board. The moment he read what the event was about, a stargazing night out in the grounds surrounding the castle, he was instantly excited and wasted no time adding his name to the list. Fred loved spending hours outdoors, though most of the time he did so during the day, since both at Hogwarts and back home, where he had a large garden behind the house, he had to obey curfews. The hardest one to get around was definitely the one his mother enforced.

Throughout the week, he found himself thinking more than once about what it would be like to spend a whole night under the stars, camping out with his friends. He had arranged with Rosaline and Leo to go together, and he knew that one of them had invited Cecilia Merrick. When the day finally arrived, a Wednesday evening, Frederick put on comfortable clothes and packed his bag with a wool hat and scarf, a deck of Exploding Snap cards, a handful of sticky caramels, a worn notebook, a few pencils, and a water flask (only the essentials for a camping trip, from his perspective) before heading off to meet everyone in the Great Hall.

Soon enough, he found himself walking in a large group led by Elena, Kitty, Helen, and Taros. The first of them seemed a bit too young for the role, especially compared to the two professors and the groundskeeper, which made him wonder whether she was some kind of astronomy prodigy or something like that. Still, Frederick kept that thought to himself, his gratitude for her organising the outing outweighed his curiosity. It didn’t take long, however, before his mind wandered again, jumping from one thought to another as he kept pace up the mountain trail. “Just imagine when we actually see the meteor shower,” he said to Rosaline, Leo, and Cecilia, glancing between them with a grin. “I’ve already got my wish ready. I just haven’t decided yet if I’m wishing for Gryffindor to win against Slytherin in the next match or for infinite pudding.”He finished his sentence, glancing provocatively, in a playful, harmless way, in Cece’s direction.

The Hogwarts grounds were breathtaking, and walking through parts of that vast landscape still unknown to him made the long trek feel much shorter. At one point, still walking beside his three friends, he drifted out of their conversation as he listened to the groundskeeper. Taros spoke about the different animals that lived in those lands, magical and non-magical alike, from foxes and squirrels to acromantulas and thestrals, and Fred found himself secretly hoping they’d encounter something along the way. Being a twelve-year-old, still far too reckless to worry about the dangers of certain magical creatures, he could only imagine how brilliant that encounter would be.

When he turned his attention back to his group to share his thoughts, he noticed someone else had joined them: a Hufflepuff boy, one of the prefects, Fred knew, though he couldn’t quite recall his name. It seemed like Rosaline or Cecilia had invited him along, but Fred had missed that part. Without slowing his pace, he slipped back into the conversation, turning toward Zephyr. “Oh, sorry. Got distracted thinking about the acromantulas Taros said we might run into back there. I’m Frederick.” He greeted him, taking the opportunity to try and give everyone a small scare by mentioning the giant spiders, a harmless bit of mischief he simply couldn’t resist.

The trail seemed to be nearing its end when the incline steepened, leading up to a flat plateau. Climbing a mountain wasn’t for everyone, but for Buckley, who had always loved being on the move, whether running around all day in games or playing sports, the hike had been easy enough. The moment he spotted the campsite, still about two hundred metres away, Fred couldn’t help himself. “We’re almost there! I didn’t want to say anything, but…” he called out, excitement overtaking him, along with his playful nature, “Last one there is a rotten egg!” And off he ran, laughter bursting freely from him, the unmistakable sound of someone having the time of their life. As he sprinted ahead, he glanced back briefly to see if the others had taken up the challenge and whether he’d need to run even faster to avoid coming in last.

Still laughing as he reached the campsite, Frederick took a few deep breaths to catch his breath. “That was fun.” He looked around and saw that some of the students who had been ahead during the hike had already arrived and settled in. Tents of all sizes were scattered across the area, along with a few campfires. The magical campsite immediately captured his attention. “Brilliant! Which tent do you think we should pick?” Buckley asked, turning to the group as he adjusted his backpack. “Are you excited to see the meteor shower? Because I definitely am!” He kept talking, unable to let the conversation die, a blessing or a curse, depending on who you asked, when you were in a group with Frederick Buckley.

Tatiana had always liked the night sky even as a little girl. Often, she and her godfather would take small hikes on the mountains near their house, just high enough to see the sky more clearly than you would when on normal terms. He would also bring this small little cylindrical tube thing that had lens that would make something look bigger even if it was from faraway, he liked to call it a 'spyglass'. Funny name, Tatiana thought.

He said that he borrowed it from a friend a while ago, but Tatiana wasn't sure if 'borrowed' was really the word for it, she swears she'd still seen it in his drawers before she left for Hogwarts.

“Y'know, Tia,” he said to her sometime when she was eight while they were watching the Eta Aquariids Meteor Shower, “When your mother was a wee little girl like you, she used to love the sky and heavenly beings too, guess that's where you got that fondness too.”

And those words opened up something about her relationship with her parents, and stayed with Tatiana for a long time.

So there she was, a week before the Lyrid Meteor Shower, standing before the sign-up sheet pinned on the announcement board, quill in hand, adding her name on the bottom of the paper, though it did look more shaky than her previous writings.

And the week had come and go, Tatiana was hunched up near the middle-end of the line, behind a chattering group of friends who wouldn't shut up about what they found out about the Meteor Shower through the library. Though after hearing a few snippets of their conversation she could not help but to chuckle and jeer about what nonsense they were talking about, “What did you read about? 'Everything That's Not True About Meteor Showers' ?”, she scoffed, low enough not to let them hear, though she was sure somebody else near her was bound to hear it. She sighed, then grumbled, “God, this will be a long walk. ”

ERRAND Starborn Wonders mass thread The Lyrids Meteor Shower
Cassie signed up for the event at once when she heard that they were given the chance to watch the lyrid meteor shower together. She could not recall clearly, but, ever since her first year, Cassie fell in love with Astronomy. It fascinates her that there are countless stars out in the universe. The starlight we see at night might take millions of years, if not more, to reach our eyes. Even the greatest sorceror in the world cannot claim to be knowledgable of the stars far in space. No one, not a single human being has travelled farther than those who has been the moon. Countless wonders lie billions of light years away. If dream has a shape Cassie sometimes thinks, it should be in the shape of the starry night sky.

When Cassie was signing up for the activity, she wondered who to partner up with. Looking around and not seeing any of her friends, she decided to use this as a chance to meet some new students, whom she might form long term friendship with. In the end, she partners up with Harumi Everdane, a Hufflepuff and George Calder, a Ravenclaw. Both are first years, slightly younger than Cassie, so she volunteers to lead the team.

Cassie rushes out of the castle with her things after her lesson in the afternoon. Following the prefect and professors to the grounds, Cassie looks at the sky in awe. The setting sun paints the vast sky purple, pink, gold and orange, the most elegant and dreamy colours of all. The staff introduces their activities tonight. Cassie has to admit she has never been so looking forward to an activity. 'Which bonfire would you like to go to?' she asks her new friends. 'Would you prefer practising Astronomy with Elena, listening to stories told by madam Doukas, learning Herbology and Magical Creatures with sir Quintero or roasting marshmallows with professor Townsend?' she is in such a dilemma, all those activities seem so interesting. If only she can be in all four places at the same time! 'And shall we join activities together or attend them separately?' she waits for her friends to reply.

Soon they arrive at the grounds, and it's time to pick a tent where they'll sleep tonight. They have choices between muggle tents, which makes them closer to nature and wizard tents, which have comfortable and cozy tents. Cassie wants to experience muggle tents badly, but she still suggests when Harumi asks, 'Let's pick a wzard tent. After all, we have both boys and girls in our team, and we still have lessons tomorrow. A wizard tent will guaratee us a good night's rest, I suppose.' she asks the other two's advice, 'what do you think?'

After picking a tent, they walk out to the grounds, seeing that the bonfires have been set up. Cassie is already a little bit hungry, so she suggests, 'Why not go and fetch some roasted marshmallows first?' as she heads to the bonfire with professor Townsend by its side. Cassie once went on a camping trip with her parents, where she learned how to roast food on her own. In a few minutes, she is feasting on roasted marshmallows and some other snacks she brought with her. 'Wanna have some?' she says as she hands some roasted marshmallows to her friends.

After a nice dinner by the bonfire, she turns to the groundskeeper, Taros Quintero for some knowledge about magical creatures and herbs. She has just began her care of magical creatures lessons this year, but she is very interested in the subject indeed. She decides to save the storytelling and astronomy learning for later, when the sky is even darker and the stars are brighter...

Elwyn was not particularly interested in Astronomy so when he saw the mention of a Lyrid Meteor Shower he was quite indifferent about it at first. The idea of seeing something that only appeared once every three to four year was interesting, but the idea of going alone seemed go lessen his enthusiasm quite a bit.

So when Aurora mentioned it to him and invited him to go watch it with her, he could not say no. He didn’t have a lot of experience about Meteor showers but it was the first time someone invited him anywhere so he eagerly said yes and they discussed everything. They met before the gathering and followed the other students for departure together. They were having a fun time, chatting with each other.

Elwyn was very excited and kept asking questions he didn’t expect an answer for. You could say they were rhetorical questions asked by someone unexperienced and quite dumb in the topic. At first, they weren’t even about the event. “Do you think there’s gonna be food there? Is this going to be somewhere where there are animals around? What’s a Lyrid?” Most of these questions were answered soon enough when they reached their destination. The scenery was beautiful, large pines, running animals, leaves crunching beneath their feet with a soft sound that scared the nearby birds away.

He tried to listen to every bit of information, consume everything. This has turned out to be quite difficult for him as always. Despite having Astronomy classes there were many different words he didn’t understand and he asked a lot of questions, genuinely interested, now that there was someone accompanying him. Some of those questions were dumb, like “Are they bright? I though we needed binoculars to see anything in the sky? Oh wait, we can see the Sun and the Moon..the stars too, never mind!” many students even smiled when he asked them, but everyone who answered were patient even though he knew absolutely nothing about it.

There were lots of different snacks there, some even he didn’t know existed until today. Many books about astronomy were scattered around the place, eager students reading it with quiet fascination. He grabbed one while propping a jelly slug into his mouth and opened it on a random page. He leaned closer to Aurora so she could read it with him. There were a bunch of different photos about Meteors and he was amazed by them. “Woah..Look! That one looks so bright. Have you even watched one before? I haven’t. My grandmother loves watching the night sky but I never watch it with her. Do you think we will see lots of these tonight? I hope so.” He looks around to see everyone occupied with something. “Huh..everyone is very interested in this. I get it now.” He offers Aurora the pack of jelly slugs “It doesn’t taste bad, I thought it would taste like slug but it doesn’t. It’s still weird though, who thought about making something like this?” A while ago he saw Professor Townsend sneaking some of this jelly and that’s when he decided to try it too. If a professor needs to be sneaky with it then it piqued his curiosity, he wondered if it’s good.

Their tent was set up, it was one the red haired girl brought with herself and it was a muggle one. They were allowed to go anywhere within the limited area so he began wandering off, assuming Aurora is following him. He was on a mission to watch different animals and to see if there are any mushrooms around. “I’ve never been here so late..” he murmured into the void.

Truth be told, Sabrina harbored no special connection with the night sky, stars, or the rest of cosmos for the matter. Sure, she enjoyed its beauty, the calmness of the quiet vasness overhead, glimmering while one laid in their bed or ticklish grass. But the appreciation of their aesthetic qualities was as far as her interest and understanding went, and she had no ambition of broadening her horizons in said area. Considering that, she was not surprised to learn that the whole stargazing aspect of the event planned for the start of April provoked no burst of excitement to erupt within her. That came with the promise of it being an overnight trip, including camping outside the castle's grounds. Practically bouncing with said overpowering emotion, she unleashed the full extend of it onto her best friend and trusted companion for the trip, Nari (@Eonaria Kabukimono), once they found each other in the crowd gathered in the Great hall.

An over-packed satchal swung over her shoulder, the raven dragged them both to walk near the groundskeeper, Taros, eager to listen in on his stories and facts, sometimes even whispering trivia of her own into Nari's ear. Their excited, hushed, giggle-laced tones turned calmer with each step they took. Despite being rather athletic, the long walk combined with long monologue-esque rambling took a toll on Sabrina. And although there was no force able to stop this chatterbox, it was evident that by the end of their travels she herself was somewhat saving her breath. Still, there wasn't a moment where the witch felt less than comfortable or relaxed beside her friend. Dragging her feet through the imaginary finish line, Sabrina stretched her stiff arms above her head, letting out a weak but no less celebratory, 'Woohoo! We did it,' before swinging one of her arms around the other girls shoulders in a tired side-hug. Taking a generous swig out of her plastic water bottle and munching on a semi-melted piece of chocolate (offering both to Nari as well) returned some of the energy back to the brunette, giving her mind enough fuel to remember her other reason for joining this event.

Just like any other event or school gatherings she's joined, this one was laced with her morphing intend of battling her social anxiety. Her last attempts at that were, surprisingly enough, highly effective and there she say even positive. With the constant exposure to such occasions, she has developed tactics and tricks that made them easier, at this point almost systematic. Her self-set goal for today remained the same as it had been for when she's attended the wonderful spring ball few days ago: meeting new people. Motivated by the success of her last 'mission', Sabrina was almost eager to fulfill this one.

She pulled her, still tired looking, best friend into a tight hug, 'Okay, I need to go do my thing now,' she informed while still in the embrace, not bothering to elaborate as Nari was aware of her plans, 'I'll tell you all about it tomorrow. See ya soon - wish me luck!' she promised, waving to her friend before diving into the crowd. She was of those that loathed lingering goodbyes, the kind where you bid each other farewell before continuing on in the same direction, so she was quick to create some distance between them. Once she deemed it sufficient, she slowed her stride, eyes scanning the area in a familiar manner, wondering who she should approach today. This, as she came to learn, was the hardest part of the process. She needed to find a lone figure, which didn't want to remain that way, quickly enough as for her nerves not to build up and prevent her from talking to anybody.

Fortunately for her, this time she wasn't the only one scouring the crowd with a similiar intend.

"Lovely night, isnt it? Though a bit crowded here, looks like most students brought some company. But it makes sense, I would also love to share such a rare sight with someone, you know?" (@Estella Cain)

The voice almost startled the small raven, stoping her dead in her tracks. For the first time in forever, she was the one approached by a soul searching companionship. However unfamiliar the position she found herself in may have been, the manner in which the girl spoke in instantly warmed to the raven. It was reminiscent of the type of speech she herself often slipped into when talking to Nari.

''Tis lovely indeed,' she responded whilst twirling around to meet the unknown voice's eyes, the switch in her wording automatic. The sight she was met with was somewhat expacted, but still earned a raise of brows from the girl. She hummed at the blonde's next words, 'Well fret not, for your company has arrived,' she dared to claim, stressing her point with a cheeky smirk and deep curtsy, which execution almost lead to her tripping over her own foot. Clearing her throat, as if in an attempt to distract from her stumble, she extanded her hand in an offer of a handshake, 'Sabrina, Sabrina Lyons, Brie for short. The pleasure is all mine. I meant it,' she continued, her tone shedding the mockingly aristocratic tilt it had seconds ago, 'I was also looking for someone to share this experience with, so this is just incredible timing. Almost as if written in the stars,' she joked, pointing up at the still light skies. Borrowing some of that lion courage, she tried her luck 'this might sound absurd coming from a total stranger - well, more like acquintance since we've already exchanged names - but would you like to share a tent with me?'
