As she waited for Rafael to arrive, Lydia wondered how to best bring up the whole discussion she had with Aurelia in the changing rooms; it wasn't like she could simply ask him the moment he showed up, that would have been rude of her. She shook her head lightly, trying to clear her thoughts, when Wren's voice got her attention.

She looked so pretty, with her light blue dress and the hair up that way. "Hi Wren! You look amazing as well! Oh- my hair was actually supposed to be my natural colour, but the spell didn't quite work out," she said as she gave the girl a small smile, before shaking her head. "Thank you for your offer, but I don't want to intrude on your date! Also, I hope Raf will show up soon, so it's probably better if I wait here. He might not recognise me with this crazy hair!"

Just as she finished talking, her attention was caught by the Gryffindor Captain; she turned towards him, and widened her eyes for a brief second. He looked... incredible. He wasn't wearing a proper suit, like most of the boys that night, just a black hoodie with a navy blazer on top, but he still managed to look way better than anybody else she had see that night. Lydia could feel her face basically catch fire as he complimented her, and she gave him a shy smile as she reached for the roses. "Thank you Rafael, they look so lovely!" she added.

She was bringing the bouquet up to her nose to smell the beautiful flowers, when Aurelia's words came back to her mind. I have seen them in the common room, after one of our games.

Lydia's face darkened a little as she frowned; for a brief second she had completely forgot about all of that, too concentrated on the boy in front of her. She quickly looked up at him, before she shook her head. She didn't want to talk about that there, right in the middle of the entrance, with that many people around. She tried her best to remove the concern from her face, before she noticed that Rafael didn't have a boutonniere. "I'm okay, nothing happened, just-" she said as she tried to reassure the boy, before she reached for a navy boutonniere on the stand behind her. "Here!" She carefully pinned the little flower composition to the boy's blazer, making sure that it would stay in he right position, before she looked up at him.

"I'm glad you're here..." she admitted as she tried to offer the boy a genuine smile, "Would you like for me to show you around?" Lydia asked him then, motioning with a hand towards the inside of the pitch, where most of the students were either dancing, chatting or eating. Hopefully she could have managed to find a calm place where she could talk with him without being right in the middle of the sea of students.

Loosely mentioning others around.
More students were filtering in and out of the pitch as Lark stood frozen in her spot by the refreshments. She wasn't sure if she should sit... maybe just go wait for AJ by the changing rooms? This was only the second big event here she had attended... and even being younger at her Gran's gatherings it wasn't as if she had, had a date. Date? Was AJ a date? She thought so, but what did that even mean? The only experience the young girl had with this type of situation had been with Dale last Fall... and well that went. Differently than anything she had read about in her books at home.

Gazing around the crowds, Lark caught sight of a few more familiar faces. Santario with camera in hand was busy catching moments in time. Watching as she cast her lense towards a few others in Lark's direction she tried to catch her eye and offer a small wave from across the way. They had only briefly talked off and on but she admired the confidence the Slytherin exuded. Facing the dance floor, Flash and some others Lark recognized from the pool party were gathered close by with another girl Willow sitting by herself. Maybe she should sit at one of the tables... Anxiety trickled into the back of the girl's neck and filtered down her spine. Sit? Go to the changing rooms? Wait here? What if he doesn't come? Was anyone staring at her like the weird pathetic girl by the drinks..? She should have asked Ruthie to come with her... or Els.. someone.. someone talk to her so she didn't stand here looking like an idiot- Lark squeezed her eyes shut trying to push back the thoughts prickling her mind, threatening to deflate any sense of self worth she had mustered for the night. Please...

"Who knew that Aaron's idea of bringing some Yoohoo to the ball would have been so successful,"

A voice pulled Lark from the darker depths of her mind. She loosened the grip on the drink in her hands and blinked at the blonde. She was talking to her, right? Her eyes darted from left to right making sure she wasn't standing next to it in front of someone that maybe was being addressed instead of her. No one.

"I- That's what this is?" Raising the bottle, she felt a smile slide its way across her lips. Must be some sort of Muggle drink! Fascinating... maybe coffee or something? The nervous tickle faded from exsistence as the girl introduced herself. She must be one of the coordinators! "Nice ta meet ye! I'm Lark." Lydia. She seemed so nice and gave off such a comforting aura, Lark couldn't help but feel safe around her. "Aye! I am! Ye all did such ah wonderful job with the ball." Tipping her head towards the goals, Lark gave a small laugh. It was nice to see her position on the pitch look so festive! "The goals look fantastic. It all does, really. Funny though.. I still feel like I need ta be protectin' em even from down 'ere." Letting out a breath and releasing the last of the pent up energy she had held onto, whether just from general nerves or residual anxiety over the last ball, Lark undid the top of the bottle and went to take a sip enjoying her newfound company with Lydia when the girl seemed to panic.

"I’m so sorry, I-I really need to go!”

Lowering the glass bottle from her lips, the silver haired girl opened her mouth to make sure Lydia was alright but before she could the girl had made her leave. Was it something she said? Maybe it was the goal post comment? Shifting her weight to one hip, her gaze followed the girl as she left hoping she hadn't somehow managed to insult her. Turning back to the ball, she noticed more and more people mingling by the dance floor. A flash of the Masked Ball burned across her thoughts, searing reminder of how Hogwarts events normally went.. Lark swallowed hard and wondered if anyone else was thinking the same thing... this would be different without professors here.... not that it had stopped the ball interlopers last time. Still. That extra bit of safety had been a welcomed comfort at the time.

Lark felt for her wand tucked into the pocket of her dress. Still there.. Reassured and with the knowledge of at least a couple more spells in her arsenal, Lark sipped at her drink finally. Sweet, some sort of milky type flavor. Pleasant actually! Lark took another less timid swig as something grabbed at her. Another flash of the Masked Ball.. smoke filling her lungs, she was choking, burning heat against her skin. Someone screamed-

Grabbing. Someone was grabbing her. An audible yelp shot from the Ravenclaw as she leapt forward and spun around almost tripping over he skirts. A bit of Yoohoo slopped over her arms, making her instinctively reach them outwards as to not get any on her dress. Panic rushing from her chest as she was pulled back to the present by her friend's voice, Lark glared at AJ.

"Ye wild Scot! Scare me 'alf out ah my wits." Tightening the cap back onto the bottle, she set it on the closest table and gave the boy a grin shaking her head from side to side. It was just AJ... not a half-giant.. this isn't the Masked Ball. She was safe. Just. AJ. "Ye ye.. it isn't my fault ye 'ave ta take longer an' get yourself all-" Her words fell from her rosy lips as she finished wiping at her arms with a napkin and adjusted the middle section of her dress, her eyes raising to her friend. Just AJ... in that moment he didn't look like just AJ. Her best friend. Her.... Realizing she was gawking at the boy as he asked about her timely manner in dressing, Lark snapped her mouth closed. He looked so.. different. A flutter in her chest sent a blush burning across her freckled cheeks. However, even if he had missed the look plastered to her face as she stood to face him, her hair would give her away as it shifted to a pink tint.

There they were. Staring at each other. What was that look on his face? Lark felt another burn of embarrassment reaching the tips of her ears this time. Could it be the Scottish attire that made him look so different? No.. there was something else she couldn't put her finger on.

"Wow..."

Was that bad? Lark's thoughts were a flurry of questions, crashing into each other as she tried to sort out what that could've meant. She never knew the boy to be a man of few words. Nervously, she brushed a couple of stray strands of fringe from her eyes. Still, just the one word set her lips into a giddy smile.

"T-thanks." Returning the gesture, Lark looked the lion up and down. She had never seen an outfit like it before but it made her friend look older... and then some. What was this feeling? "Ye don't look 'alf bad yourself." Lark winked playfully and nudged the boy's arm with her elbow. 'Very handsome in fact..' She wanted to add on but.. how would he take it? Nibbling on her lower lip, she tucked the compliment away hoping to use it later if she could dig up the courage. Watching as he turned his eyes to the ball, Lark found herself staring at his face studying it with a fresh set of eyes. How had she not noticed the change in his face since they first met on the train? How his eyes set... jawline.

"Shull weh?"

Another blush set on her cheeks hoping he hadn't caught her boring holes into his face. She looked down at his arm and realized how different this ball already was from the last. She was here.. with AJ. With her.. best friend? Not wanting to worry too much over it, she immediately wrapped her arm around his and stepped closer to him. Another wave of butterflies. This felt different than them just hanging out together and sitting close studying. Almost tripping over her own feet as AJ got closer to whisper to her, she felt a prickle along the back of her neck.

Taking her right hand from his arm, leaving her other linked with his, Lark covered her mouth as she stifled a laugh. In all honesty she had no idea either. The last ball she had barely gotten to do anything, let alone dance before the commotion started. Otherwise, he events at her Gran's she bad been too young... the one over Winter holiday hadn't gone too well either consisting of her Gran pushing her to socialize with a number of other boys. Whatever that was about.. As they walked her thoughts returned to one thing. Dancing. She had never gotten a chance last time.. if things were going to go sour in this moment she knew that she was going to get a dance with AJ.

"Well..." Leaning into her friend, her shoulder pressing against his as she rose her face closer to his, curse her short stature, Lark continued. "I think it is proper ta get in at least one dance, ya?" She caught his gaze and held it for a moment trying to judge how he felt about the whole.. don't trip, step on my feet, or drop me let's dance type looming future the Scot had in store for him as the pair got closer and closer to the dance floor.

Interacting with @Breana Oliveire @Aaron Jones (Briefly)
Breana seemed like the creative type just like her, and it brewed an excitement in her. She hadn't really had a ton of people around her that were crafty and artistic like she was, and if they were she just didn't know. The fact that Breana started to think about how to make a paint dress just filled her with joy. "You think so? I suppose there is fabric paint. I'd love to try that out with you, whether or not there's another ball it might just be a fun thing to try." Breana made conversation easy, unlike Ruka who didn't say more than a single sentence at a time. "Well, I have you now! And that's what matters. Us lonely girls gotta stick together, right?" You can't be lonely if you were with a friend, and that was just a plain fact.

Willow didn't know the heimlich manuever, she nearly panicked as Breana seemed to start choking on her fry at the mention of the boy she wanted to dance with. Willow started to look at who was in the room with the ball and talking to a girl, there were a lot of them so narrowing the possibilities down was an impossible task. "Mm, I don't know Bre. I know a lot of the people here currently. At least tell me what house he's in? I'll tell you the house of my crush if you tell me yours." Willow batted her eyelashes at Bre, hoping a negotiation would work. Except for the fact that she didn't really know if she had a crush on someone right now. It was all very confusing. But if Breana had agreed there were two houses she could pick between with two people she was starting to adore. The pleading act was broken momentarily by Aaron approaching and speaking to them and then running off again. He sure was a busy bee today.

The fact that Breana went with her over the top gesture thrilled her, and brought out the loudest laughter Willow had had in awhile. She gladly joined Breana in the center of the dance floor and began to do the chicken dance. "Oh my tail feathers were born ready, Bre." The music that drifted through the pitch was classical and beautiful. Definitely not music people would think to do the chicken dance to. The infamous dance came easily to her, much easier than it did when she was hit with Tarantallegra during tag in the courtyard. Giggles were never ending as they did the dance, everything negative about the night already fading in her thoughts as she was just having fun with a friend of hers.

Her light had fully returned again.

[font=Segoe Print]"Thank you Rafael, they look so lovely!"

It was funny, how the mere sound of Lydia’s voice seemed to put the Gryffindor boy at ease, tension in his shoulder relaxing and his small frown turning into a gentle smile. Lydia was just like that, all bouncy, all humble smiles and shy mannerisms. It was a bit cute, when he stopped to think about it – did she only feign ignorance to her own beauty? Had she ever looked in the mirror? A face such as her own was enough to have droves of people from both genders chasing after her very wake, if not being utterly frozen in shock at the sight of her long lashes, full lips. Her face alone was a force of nature, that much was more than obvious, but that didn’t even begin to do who she was justice. It wasn’t often that one found a pretty girl so humble and kindly, something about Lydia that he truly loved in some sort of strange way. Even if he couldn’t say he quite loved her yet, he definitely knew there was something in his chest that tugged and tossed at her very sight, releasing a flurry of butterflies within his stomach and leaving him on edge in the most lovely way. Such a feeling was hardly felt by the Gryffindor Captain, and for a moment, he was left wondering what such feelings meant.

However, that wasn’t to say that his concern was gone. On the contrary – his eyes were still laced with the same worry before, brow furrowed as his lips parted, words floating from the confines of his throat and into the open air, gentle yet tentative. “Oh, wow, I can’t believe I’d forgotten about the boutonniere,” he chuckled, adjusting it slightly as to relieve his own growing nerves. “Actually, I would quite love that – being shown around, I mean.” A wide smile made itself to his face right then. “Really, I’m glad I could come to the ball with you. I guess it would really have sucked, watching you here with someone else.” He winced at his last words, more inwardly than anything – what the hell was that? What was he, the freaking Love Doctor again? Wow, he’d have to do a better job than that. Such words were hardly his MO, and besides, the last thing he needed to do was embarrass himself further. It was the least he could do for the lovely veela girl he’d asked to the ball.

That being said, he quickly offered to her his hand, bowing slightly for dramatic effect. Whatever he was outside of the Ball, didn’t matter now – tonight, he was a gentleman, and he would do well to act the part, too. However, there was still an inquiry plaguing his mind, one of which he could do absolutely nothing to shake as the moments wore on. “If you don’t mind me asking – are you sure you’re okay? I, ahem,” with his other hand he coughed, as if clearing his quickly-tightening throat, “I can’t help but notice you seem distraught.” Brilliantly worded by his own standards, certainly, but would Lydia satiate his curiosity? It seemed almost as if she’d brushed it off the first time around… what was she hiding? Wait… was this about Aaron? Did she feel bad about going out with him instead of her boyfriend? Hell, the last thing he needed to do was throw down with that kid again. He was still aching from their last fight.

He swallowed hard, his smile never wavering as he glanced down at his date. He didn’t take Lydia for the type to cheat on her boyfriend, but then again, he didn’t know Lydia all that well, did he? All the boy could do, was cross his fingers and hope for the best – this was a damned ball, the last thing anyone needed was fists to be thrown. Especially after last ball…

River sat down swiftly as Katrina had spoken. Looking at the gryffindor, River couldn’t help but think she looked… tense. Not that anyone could blame her, these Hogwarts events were absolutely reason to stay alert at all times. River knew that much, but she had still decided to try her best to enjoy it as much as possible. A smile appeared on Rivers pale face as Katrina complimented her hair for the evening. “Thank you”, she responded, looking down at her hands, but still smiling. The braids were ones that her mom used to wear her hair in all the time. River had attempted to learn how to do them for a while, but it was only recently that they had looked presentable. “You look incredible by the way”, she added, trying her best to repay the compliment. And she wasn’t lying either, she did look incredible. It was an unfamiliar situation for River to be in, with her, compliments were not usually traded.
What brought River to the blossom ball? “Good question”, River answered with a light chuckle as Katrina had asked the question. “I guess I’m mostly here in hopes of witnessing one of these things actually winding up successful”, she said in a slightly joking tone. She had a slight hope that this would actually go well since it was all by the students. Who knows, perhaps the professors were the issue all along? River doubted that last part very much. Their professors were all too nice for that, right?
River glanced back to Katrina, she still looked like she was keeping her eyes open for any fires or something and hoped she hadn’t said anything to make her even more worried. “Are you doing alright Katrina?”, The young ravenclaw asked, and gave the gryffindor a slight look of concern. Being overwhelmed in these situations was a familiar feeling for River as well, but her fear and anxiety around it all had gone down over the last years. How that was even possible after her previous experiences she did not know. Perhaps the fact that she had made it out of those experiences with barely a scratch made her feel like things would be okay in the end anyway. Except for those who did get hurt of course. They might be a little worse off in the end.

May wondered what made Blake think that. She wanted to not reply, but she replied anyways.
"Depends on the person..."

May smiled, when at last the dance finished, she saw how Blake took the chair for her. Did she have to say thank you?
"T-thanks...

May was quite flattered. She was having lots of fun, and she really much liked Blake. She was one of May's most appreciated friends, tho they had just met.
"Yeah, you know, I'm having lots of fun. Didn't know what I would have done without you,"
May said, smiling.

She turned around to see the other students. They were sure enjoying themselves.
But, she saw a girl that was looking at her. She seemed...jealous?
"Blake...there's this girl...she is looking at us,"
May whispered at him. Her look was aging at the girl, Whats happening? Did we ever met? but she didn't say anything. She saw how her first witch friend, Janet Jackson, approached the party. She wa Ed at her, not sure that she could see her, but did so anyways.

It seemed like Opeila Seliun was enjoying herself too, with her partner that, May didn't actually know. Wren Caster, the Co-leader of the M.M.M club was there too. Apart from being a great leader, May thought her like a great friend.
"Do you think she wants to talk to you...?"
May asked Blake about the girl.

In response to Katrina's question about why she was here, @River Dewlight responded with a joking tone that she was hoping it would all turn out well. Katrina pressed her lips together into a ghost of a smile, it hid her gritting teeth, there was no way that this would turn out well.

The lioness shifted in her seat an felt her wand press against her leg, but that wasn't the only thing in the pocket. There was also a roll of bandages. She had been keeping one on herself for her weak ankle that had broken a month or so back. Katrina assumed that it just hadn't healed properly because it still acted up occasionally. The second year had taken to keeping around a roll of bandages just so she could wrap her ankle up to stabilize it when it was really bad. Today however, she had a much larger role of bandages, she couldn't shake the feeling that this wouldn't end well.

Katrina noticed River studying her and she turned to ask why when River beat her to it, "Are you doing alright Katrina?"

In the moments hesitation before she responded, Katrina took the moment to assess herself. She used to be extremely closed off, especially after the tragic death of her parents. There was a few months when she was great, she had opened up and was talking to many more people. Then she had a relapse of everything, the knowledge that her brother had died had shaken her up so bad that Katrina had been essentially a walking zombie. She really hadn't fully recovered for that and had taken the depression and forced it into other things, such as observance.

Despite all of that Katrina forced a small smile, "Yeah-- I guess," that was a flat-out lie, "Well, just a bit worried that something's going to go wrong," At least that was a half-truth. She was worried, but more than that, she was certain that something was going to go wrong.

With that admitted, Katrina observed the masses of people again. Her eyes strained up at the sky again, she could see the green form of @Piérre Marchonné still up there. A part of her wanted badly to leap out of her seat, grab a broom, and fly up there with him. But she was horrible on a broom and she didn't want to leave River. Besides, if something went wrong, it would take her far too long to fly down and head over. Instead, she wistfully gave one last look up before settling her gaze back on the crowd.

Through the dancing people, Katrina caught a glance of @Thora Larkston. She wasn't sure if the Slytherin had caught sight of her, but the lioness gave a wave anyway. Thora and her were mending a friendship still, and Katrina was ready now to be friends again soon, if the opportunity ever arrived.

She hardly recognized anyone else in the crowd, but kept her ears open for any sound of trouble. So far it just looked like dancing, talking, and taking snacks from the table on either side. Last time Katrina had taken a cup of their drink, but this time, she was too afraid. The paranoia from tales of last Blossomball which she had thankfully not attended, had ensured that she wouldn't be taking ay snacks this time.

Katrina turned her gaze back to River wanting to continue the conversation, "So, what have you been up to?"

The Ravenclaw was a walking encyclopedia, he certainly did not stray from the stereotype of his house. Not that there was anything wrong with that. The metamorph enjoyed listening to the boy explain new things sometimes. She didn't have nearly as much knowledge about plants, as he did, despite her mother and sister being gardeners; but she did know a lot about Deadly Nightshade, and various plant-eating insects. Back at home, the Gryffindor would spend hours sprawled across her bedroom floor, flipping through the crudely sketched images, of beetles and other flying insects, that she found in an outdated encyclopedia. She wished she could visualize the indigo color, of the Moondust carnation, but she could only imagine the dusty purple of the Nightshade- whose flowers she was all too familiar with.

The metamorph was a fragile thing. Always had been. She had spent her time at Hogwarts trying to build walls around herself, to mimic the cold comforts of home. It was her defense mechanism, and an ineffective one at that. She was running out of building material, she was breaking, and was deathly afraid of shattering. Xailah couldn't help questioning her bird friend, or suggest that he didn't want to spend time with her- most people didn't, so it was only natural. She was scared of people trying to get too close for comfort, to be frank. She often figured he was just being polite anyways. She knew how purebloods raised their children. She came from an old pureblood family, so she was not uneducated on the subject. If you weren't raised to be a spoiled brat, then you were being raised to be the next heir- where you would be taught proper manners, and how to be polite.

The lioness was thankfully familiar with the waltz. She had never danced it much, truthfully. However she had seen people dance it numerous times, during the dinner parties her parents would host at home. Her aunt Tabitha forbid her from participating in the parties- that was whenever Tabitha was visiting. The metamorph truthfully didn't know why, but supposed it was to prevent embarrassing her aunt. So, Xailah usually just stood where she couldn't be seen. She could remember staring down from the top of the stairs, as she watched all the pretty people twirl, in their black suits and expensive evening gowns. She had always wondered if she would ever get the chance to dance like they did. She hesitantly put a hand on the Ravenclaws upper-arm, before nodding to him.

She was not as rooted in the moment as her snowy-haired friend was. Her mind was starting to wander again, as were her eyes. She moved in sync with the boy, as she watched the little orb-encased candles, floating over their heads. Despite being the shorter of the duo, the boy was somehow able to make things work out nicely. "I can't be mad at you now. What's done is done." She admitted, her voice mellow, and laced with concern. "Though, if I found out sssooner, I wouldn't have hesitated to give you a good talking to. So consider yourself lucky." Her neatly-plucked brows, arched in mild irritation. She listen to his explanation, but it did not help a thing. Couldn't get on board with the kitchens, so they choose a place thats out in the open. Brilliant. Who was the idiot that suggested the Quidditch Pitch? She wanted to ask, she really did, but she figured now was not the time for snarky questions.

A pained expression began to creep across her pale face, as she shook her head in slight disbelief. Pericles kind, and easygoing nature was going to get him hurt one day. Hopefully today would not be that day. "Pericles..." She let out a sad sigh. "Banned books, and sssecret parties held without the sssupervision of professors, are two completely different animals. But I understand." He almost made it sounds as if she was a bad influence- which, given her current disposition, she was. She looked down, her attention returning to his metallic gaze, and one very distracting squiggle of white hair. She watched the curl bounce, as she and the boy twirled, to the music. "I'm probably just paranoid, sssince I was at two balls that ended in complete failure." Her lips pursed into a thin, firm line. "I just hope you know that when- if sssomething bad happens...you can't- you can't save them all."

Her lip quivered, as she thought about everything that had happened in the past year. She didn't want to scare the boy, but it was something that he needed to be aware of. His attempts to make the event safer, was admirable, even though she knew deep down, the added precautions would not stop anything. "...I have no ssstrategy this time." This time? She never had a strategy before, or ever for that matter- not a good one at least. These events were unpredictable. The best that she could do, was arrive, and expect the worst. "I was hoping I could just tag along with you, and be your ssshadow- that is if you don't mind. I was planning on going up to the ssstands as well, so I could see what everything looks like from higher up."

Her glum aura, began to shift into something happier again, as her hand was lifted up into a... double wave? It was weird, but she couldn't help but chuckle. "Pericles!" She laughed, as she tried to wiggle her hand out of his grasp. "If you just let my hand go, we can both wave to her." Her nose wrinkled as she gave the girl a smile from across the pitch. "We can go say hello to her now, if you'd like. We can always resume dancing another time." Ruby appeared nice, during the few times she had actually seen the girl. She had to admit, the Slytherin had a wicked sense of fashion. "That coat is quite smashing." She left it up to Pericles on whether or not they would go to greet the snake. If they chose to go, the elder lioness would take hold of the birds hand, arm, sleeve- whatever, and follow close behind.

Oh aye! Thats Lizzie, she's a good friend of mine an she came with our other good friend Cassie," Blake explained happily, his grin returned to it's former wide state as he waved the two over. They had enough butterbeer to go around.

"Well I must be luckiest lad at the ball, I've cornered the three nicest looking people,"He joked happily, scooting closer to May to make room for the two others. Now having his three good friends all together made him feel complete. Taking the two cups he had brought, he poured butterbeer into them and offered the first one to May with a confident smile and turned to beam at Lizzie and Cassie.

"Jus given me a minute ta go an grab some more glasses,"he offered quickly, rising from his seat to walk back over to the now crowded drink table. He was very glad his sister and mum had convinced him to go because he got to spend time with all his friends at once now. A thought he had not expected popped up as he finally made his way to the front of the crowd.

"It's nice havin Lizzie and Cassie round with us, bu I did like when it was jus May and I,"he thought contently to himself and was slightly surprised. He had never really had a group of female friends before and found it curious how much better it was then the muggle boys he had left behind. Being friends with girls seemed great! he returned to the table with two extra glasses, one for him and one for Cassie. As he slid into his seat and quickly poured the remainder of the pumpkin juice into the two before offering Cassie their's. His confident grin returned as he raised his glass and tipped it slightly.

"A toast! Ta our first event as Hogwarts students even if tha event is a secret,"He beamed happily, speaking slowly as to be as clear and concise as possible. Although he knew the trio around him didn't mind his accent, which he was grateful for, but he wanted to try and remember this evening as best he could and as perfectly as possible which meant he had to make sure his words were worth remembering. He out stretched his glass slightly and decided this was a moment he wanted to hold on to for a very long time.

Slipping down the stands Elsian rounded the edges of the pitch not really feeling up to dodging through everyone when it was just as easy to go around. This also meant he easily went unseen by Logan on his 'quest', slipping between the tables and sliding up behind her to quietly put his bag down.

Of course not before he'd taken a single look at those ribbons for houses they'd put out and snagging one of the Slytherin one with a small grin, taking it and instantly tying it around his wrist because why not. He'd practically hijacked the Slytherin colors tonight might as well actually go ahead and have fun with it. Especially if he ran into a certain Hufflepuff who'd been so sure Elsi would be a Slytherin. He'd have a ball with that if it happened.

Silently he slipped into a seat next to her, watching as she eyed the dancers and sipped on what looked to be water. Only waiting for her to put the drink down so as not to have her spill the bloody thing on herself before speaking up to finally announce his presence from where he'd slinked in. "You know," he began, plopping an elbow up on the table to rest his chin in the palm of his hand and also watching the party around them, "I thought you liked dancing, didn't pin you down for the loner type." he teased, turning his head to give the other a joking smirk, "pretty sure that's my thing, so hope you don't mind if I just -"

His eyes narrowed, it would have seemed like he was about to go accusing her of some great crime if not for the mischievous smile. A cat like smugness radiating off of him the moment the words left his lips. It was obvious he knew just how bad the joke was, expected the pained groans of exasperation that he absolutely adored to cause resembling much a cat bringing one of their 'presents' and still looking undeniably pleased even when it was horror that it brought.

Then in a pleased sort of tone, just loud enough for their table to hear," -slyther-in."

Just as quickly as he'd said it he raised his hand, making a show of waving off the imaginary crowds,"hold your applause, I know, my puns are a gift to this world," he drawled playing with the ribbon he'd tied around his wrist whilst he watched.

He looked away with a small snicker, away to people watch as the music changed to something more elegant, reminding him much of that cinderella book Sage had been going on about recently. "Honestly though, surprised to see you here Puff. Thought you'd for sure ben dancing." he admitted.
