Secret Blossom Ball

Lizzie studied Cassie's dress and smiled. It really did suit them. She then wiped her dress again out of habit and then moved her hair behind her shoulders. It was curled a little bit but more or less the normal style she did every morning. Lizzie was never fused about her hair only the dress. The dress was the best thing. Lizzie smiled as waved at the sight of Cassie.
She turned her head to were Cassie was nodding and noticed Blake laughing and smiling with some other first-year girl. She looked at them for around twenty seconds and then her smile fell. She had her mouth hung open a little bit. Close your stupid mouth That will not change anything. She started at them and Lizzie's smile never once returned a bit. She blinked a bit trying to believe it.
She then slowly turned to face Cassie and then forced her mouth to form a smile. "Yeah... I think that is a good idea. Hey, I brought one of the things I asked my brothers for. Just in case you now?" Cassie then walked of and left Lizzie hanging for a bit. Wow, I never expected to see Blake with someone. She thought while looking at her feet and messing with the zip of her coat.
Cassie then came back after a few minutes with a Pan-sexual wrist band thing on their arm. Lizzie looked at it and smiled (for real). It was nice knowing Cassie knew what they were. Lizzie had never thought about being 'gay weirdos' as her toddler cousin said. It wasn't his fault though his parents were pretty homophobic.
"Oh, it's fine." Lizzie said while taking another quick glance at Blake, "Yeah." They then started to walk and she continued, "I really hope they have some apples."
OOC note: I based this of an event that happened in my real life time. I saw my guy best friend with a girl. I was pretty socked since I knew the guy really well and he never mentioned anyone else. Lizzie does not like Blake. She is to young and wants to focus on her music more than a love interest.Interaction with @Cassandra Ironwoods | Mentions @Blake Bayne and @May Moonstar

Secret Blossom Ball
Aaron laughed when Maria said that it wasn't bad. He was used to people having mixed feelings about the chocolate drink. It was foreign and unusual to most, but it honestly just tasted like sweet chocolate milk. Most people ended up feeling like it was okay but there were a few haters out there. Aaron personally was obsessed with the drink, and was so happy that his dorm provided it ever since the Ilvermorny students showed up at the beginning of the year.Ending Interaction with @Maria Dee

"Thanks!" he said, feeling his heart warm at the compliment she paid him. "Everyone put in so much hard work, so I'm happy to see it succeeding," Aaron explained, looking around the ball with a huge smile on his face. Everyone seemed so happy. But yet again - he saw something that would snatch his attention away from Maria. There was a girl in the distance being handed a HUGE vase of flowers, and she clearly had no place to put them! He had to go offer his services!
"I'm sorry to have to dash, Maria, but I'm trying to be a good host," Aaron suddenly said, turning back to his acquaintance with an apologetic smile. "I'll try to find you later, but in the meantime, maybe you should show off your pretty dress on the dance floor! I know @Willow Anderson and @Breana Oliveire are going to dance right now!" he suggested, pointing out his two friends. It was his job to make sure everyone had the opportunity to have a good time and talk and laugh. He himself was having fun just running around saying hi to people. He was in his element.
"Bye for now!" he said in farewell, waving before turning away. He made his way through the throng of students again, this time ending up next to a couple that was exchanging gifts. Or more like, the boy was showering the girl with extravagant gifts. The roses looked amazing, and Aaron was sure that the girl probably loved them!
"Hello, I'm Aaron!" he introduced, smiling at the both of them. The boy was clearly an upperclassmen, and Aaron had no idea who he was. The guy had clearly dressed to the nines, though, and was outshining the plaid button-up and suit jacket which Aaron adorned. "I'm trying to be helpful around the place, so if you'd like, I could take your flowers and put them somewhere safe so you can dance or eat or something," he offered, this time his eyes landing on the girl who held the flowers. He vaguely recognized her from classes - clearly she was a fellow first year - but she probably wasn't a Hufflepuff.
The girl - Wren she introduced herself as - agreed, so Aaron took the vase, which was actually heavier than he anticipated. He had to use those muscles he had trained through years of Taekwondo to properly hold the flowers, but once he had a good grip it was easy. Good thing he had come. "Would you want them somewhere in the open? Or would you prefer somewhere secure," he offered. Initially he was going to take them to one of the tables, but then he wondered if Wren and her date would want them somewhere safer where no one could mess with them. He could think of a few places to hide them if that's what they preferred.

Secret Blossom Ball
The young Scotsman ran up behind the one whom had asked him to the ball in the first place, slightly out of breath he placed a hand on the shoulder of the beautiful Miss @Lark Flaer. "Ya cannae...huff...ye cannae guv meh noo teem at all teh gut drussed. Thus us a hool oordeal!" He explained to her, gesturing to his outfit to hopefully make his point once he had caught up. After recomposing himself he finally got the chance to look upon the lady herself. In simple terms his breath was gone once more and he could barely find the words. After a few moments he managed "Wow..." and after a few more moments he continued. "Hoo'd ye gut tha' on fuster thun ah go' mine on?" He asked puzzled, looking upon her, in his eyes, extravagant dress.
"Guss ut wus weerth ut, ye clean up neece." He said with a smile, blushing ever so slightly as he looked around the rest of the 'ballroom.' As beautiful as the scene was it seemed most students were struggling to have any fun at all, many of the children had faces strained and stressed to almost a look of constipation, not very attractive for a night out. Some students were eyeing others suspiciously whilst some where already getting into accidents. It was like they expected something to go horribly wrong or something. How very peculiar...
AJ decided not to let it bother him, he knew Lark had quite been looking forward to the occasion and as both her friend and a finely garbed Scottish gentleman he intended to make her night as enjoyable as possible. "Shull weh?" He asked, offering his arm to her if she wished to walk with him. After a few short steps he whispered "I've go' nae idea whit yer suppoosed teh do at a ball."
As the pair walked together he definitely spotted a few familiar faces over the numerous unknowns in the crowd, in particular he spotted the Gryffindor Co-captain herself, giving her a friendly nod and a wave as to not interrupt her evening.
For the time being AJ did what any wise man did at a formal event, and awaited instructions from someone far smarter than him. That person being Lark in this instance.
Fun times ahead, what could go wrong?

Student after student filed onto the Pitch, each new one making her more nervous. Now that the majority of the student body had arrived, how long would it be until everything went terribly wrong? Among the faces, both familiar and unfamiliar, were several Slytherins she'd been waiting for. She waved to Thora, who arrived not long after her in just a sweater and leggings. Her best friend clearly hadn't bothered to dress up at all, and her choice of outfit was probably the smartest one of the ball, really. Bridget considered going over to talk, or even just be closer to her friend, but fear held her back. Hadn't they started the last ball sitting together at the edges of the crowd? This ball was different in many ways, and whether or not she had one conversation wouldn't alter the course of the evening, but she still didn't want to repeat anything.
Then came the boy from the Owlery, whose name she'd finally learned was Thomas. Catching his eye, she gave him a curt nod in return. Flash, who she'd met only a week ago, showed up too, heading off with the Gryffindor Co-Captain. Dan, barefoot as always, disappeared into the crowd. While everyone seemed to be moving around, either travelling from the changing rooms to the field or, in some cases, even dancing now before they couldn't anymore, Bridget remained wandering the outskirts, watching. A silent observer, waiting with bated breath for the evening to turn sour.
Eventually, she spotted the three people she was looking for. Marion and Victor stood together with their dates, evidently not hiding for probably the first time in two years. Half of her wanted to go up to them, to demand answers, but she supposed that would get her nothing but unwanted attention. Besides, if the ball went as she anticipated, their evenings would be ruined no matter what she did. The Slytherin wasn't particularly fond of either of their dates, both first years, despite barely knowing them. The ridiculously short boy had been a nuisance in the Owlery, apparently incapable of picking a side and realizing Marion wasn't innocent. As for the girl, well, Bridget felt her blood boil whenever she saw a member of the Gryffindor Quidditch team after they lost to them. Losing to Hufflepuff was one thing--it had been their first game and the badgers had proven their prowess--but the lions were quite beatable. Merlin, they'd lost to the worst team in the league. And, of course, the second-string Beater was a painful reminder of her own failure; she'd tried to blatch the girl and missed. Still, she wasn't here to brood about Quidditch, despite being on the very Pitch of their defeat.
And then... was that Thomas approaching Marion? Oh no. Seriously? Bridget didn't remember that being a part of the plan, and besides, she didn't trust the boy with the third year. For goodness sake, he'd thought throwing the girl out the window to be an appropriate threat. Whatever he was doing wasn't going to go over well, and chances were, he was just going to make a scene. Marion probably hated him. Curious though she was for how it would go over, Bridget couldn't watch the fiasco that was sure to be.
More often than not, it was Vlad she found herself watching. Well, she assumed the older boy who walked up to Opeila and gave her some sort of small box was Vladimir Athanatos. Bridget couldn't exactly match his name to a face, although she'd surely seen him in passing at least once over the past two years. In her opinion, the third year Ravenclaw was far more of a threat than Victor or Marion. For one, no one really knew much about him. Unlike the Slytherins, he hadn't been questioned. All that unknown made him dangerous. And, although she would never admit it out loud, it scared Bridget seeing Opeila with him. She barely knew the first year, yet she felt an acute urge to make sure she was safe. For now, at least, in the middle of everything, Vlad wouldn't dare try anything, right? All Bridget could do was wait for him to make his move.

While she was talking with Victor another boy came up to them and introduced himself as Aaron. He offered to take the oversized vase of flowers and put them somewhere secure. She quickly agreed seeing as she had not a clue where to put them herself. The boy, Aaron, then asked if she wanted them somewhere in the open or someplace more secure.
“Um, I think if you could put them somewhere secure that would be great! I would like to take one out of the vase so that I can have a rose to add to my accessories. I’m going to put them in the Gryffindor dorm, to adorn it more and make it less bland.”
She took one of the roses out of the vase and put it in her hair. She turned to Victor and asked him how it looked.
She hoped that it looked ok and that it didn’t clash with her dress. The harsh red color could potentially not go with her dress because of the soft blue color that it was.
She spotted Lydia standing alone seemingly waiting for Rafael who did not seem to be at the ball yet.
“I’m sorry, Victor, Aaron, I saw a friend of mine that is alone and whose date is not here yet. I must at least say hello to her and see how she is fairing. I hope you don’t mind.”
She turned to Victor.
“I’m sorry Victor, this will only take a minute.”
She walked over to Lydia and said:
“Hello Lydia. I see Rafa’s not here yet, he can be late sometime even though it doesn’t make it right. I love your hair by the way. It looks so beautiful! Would you like to join me and Victor while you wait?”

The night was lively, Rafael couldn’t help but notice – after all, it wasn’t often that one found the lovely Quidditch Pitch so full of student life, what with beautiful music playing, students chattering about, and decorations hanging all over the small arena in a perfect mess of flowers and spring. The wondrous sights tugged at the lips of the Quidditch Captain, his eyes bright, as was his demeanor – such an event had been anticipated heavily over the last few weeks, he noted absently, a lot of whispers circling through the student body regarding the details of the ‘Secret Blossom Ball’, as well as illegal shopping trips regarding the details of one’s dresses or suits, and invitations being extended towards friends and loved ones. Which brought a shot of pride to the chest of the Gryffindor boy – it had been Lydia who had put it together, the lovely Hufflepuff Girl in which he’d met in the Rehearsal Room all those many days ago. Well, sure, perhaps others had pitched in, but what did their pathetic efforts even mean when their existences were meaningless? Cough Aaron Cough
The young Captain, granted, was running a tad bit late. He supposed it was partially his own fault – in an attempt to get out the door quickly, the boy’d ended up tripping over one of his untied shoelaces, proceeding to tumble down the stairs. The remaining time had been allotted towards stopping a heavy nosebleed, which had taken several minutes of pacing in front of a mirror, and tilting of the head towards the sky. Now, it was a race to find his date – the worst thing that could happen, was that she assumed he was ditching her, or something absurd of that sort. He checked his watch carefully, eyes skimming over the hands in an effort to check the time. Fifteen minutes late, goddammit. At this rate, one would think he was ditching her. Not very romantic, he scowled to himself. You can do better than that, mate. Get a bloody move on!
His eyes were carefully scanning the masses, his scowl turning into a loot of focus as he looked for the redhead in question. It wasn’t long before his eyes caught her – she looked different, her red hair traded for a beautiful blue, but it was Lydia nonetheless, standing beside the armors in the corner. She looked absolutely amazing. At the very sight of the.. the angel from the heaven, beautiful blue flowing dress, wavy hair, his jaw dropped, and for a moment, his face went blank, his mind utterly short-circuiting as he tried to fully absorb what he was looking at. He knew Lydia was beautiful, but… wow.
Not being able to stand still for a moment more, he quickly walked up to her. “I’m sorry for being so late,” he apologized, smiling, his eyes wide in wonder. “I – you look, well, amazing, Lydia. Wow. Here, um,” he held out a bouquet of roses. “Bought these.” He was fumbling, making a fool of himself – goddammit, where’s that class run off to? He must have looked like an idiot. It was about then, that he could fully take account of her facial features – she looked upset, distraught. Such things shortly put a damper on his own mood, a frown growing on his face. “Lydia, what’s wrong?” he asked, an eyebrow raising in concern. “Wh- did something happen?”

"Ooooh..." She nodded as she looked down at the boots that she had on. "I usually had boots on regularly... Mom told me that I should make my practical ballet shoes fashionable." Breana chuckled. She looked over at Willows dress, scratching her chin with a bit of thought. "Hm... I think it's possible! If you want, we can plan something like that if there's another ball someday." Breana rarely hung out with girls that much. Her dormmates barely talk to her, and the other girls that she knew were seniors, so there was little chance of her talking to them regularly. Luckily, maybe hanging out with Willow would change that. Breana shook her head. "I still can't believe he'd bail on you like that... I mean, I get that it'd be a bit of a stuffy ball, but just hanging out with ya could've been nice enough."
She put a fry into her mouth and quickly choked on it as soon as Willow asked about her troubles. "H-huh?!" She coughed, grabbing a napkin and wiping her mouth lightly, making sure that she wouldn't accidentally smudge her lipstick. "Uh, who? Uhhh..." She started to stammer. "E-erhm you probably don't know him, heh..." Then Willow brought up a devious thought of giving her a window to talk to Pericles. "Wha..." For a moment, Breana considered agreeing to such a plan, but she shook her head as she remembered who this will affect. "No, no, Will... He's still my friend, and I mean, he might be talking about something important with her... " She smiled at the compliments, nodding to her. "Thanks, Will... I hope that I do get that ball dance later..." She then blows a bit of her hair that's been dangling on her face. As beautiful as the hairdo was, Breana was not a fan of it covering a bit of her eye. She wore a hair clip for a reason! Thankfully her hair didn't block her view of seeing another friend of hers, Aaron. Unfortunately, he was gone as fast as he went to say goodbye to the girls, so Breana could only wave before he walked off.
She raised her eyebrows as Willow did a formal bow. Breana then quickly howled out a fit of laughter as Willow started speaking in a hoity-toity sort of speech. "Oh, my dear Willow!" She said, dramatically clutching unto her necklace, enunciating her words as well. "T-this is all so sudden! But, I am grateful-- NAY! Honored and will gladly accept!" She place her hand on Willow's hand, her pinky raised, before Breana pulled away to let out a long string of laughs. Grabbing unto Willow's wrist as they both head to the dance floor, she tugged her to the center of it. "Ready to shake your tail feathers, Will?" She asked excitedly, her arms already in a bent chicken wing position. Just to make it extra funny, she kept her rhythm in time with the current music, funnily wiggling her body as she did the infamous dance.

The ball was beginning to increase with people by the minute now, as well as increasing the chances of disaster by the minute. While he gazed at all the new comers someone came behind and nudged into him by accident, forcing him to move forwards slightly to give them access to the water "OH! Parden me," apologised the girl as she helped herself. Percy looked behind slightly and noticed her friendly smile, to which he didn't bother to reply to. He let out a sigh and put his attention to what was in front of him, trying to spot someone in particular "Hello, how are you enjoying the ball so far?" she asked beside him, before waving to someone that she knew. Percy turned his head and looked at the girl, giving her his full attention this time "It's decent, considering it has only just started" he replied, before taking another sip of his water "But having hearing stories of the previous balls, I dont have high hopes" Percy said coldly this time as something caught his eye.
A familiar face wondered the ball alone, however it wasn't a friendly one by any means. She was the girl that embarrassed him in the great hall, as well as making him look like a fool by the great lake. Whatever her name was, the girl was all but trouble "By any chance do you know the name of that girl?" motioned the boy over to @Evelynn Decipio, who still seemed to be wondering around. He wanted to have a word with her once more, something of which he was hesitant yet focused on doing.

Kaylie was walking to the Quidditch pitch. For the first time she was going to a ball. She had her outfit in a small backpack that she had with her. Kaylie changed into her long blue dress with sequins on it. She put on a silver necklace she had brought from home and put on her white flats. Her hair was braided up in to a bun close to the top of her head but still in the back. Kaylie took a small breath before walking out onto the pitch. She held her head up high a small smile on her face. She was so nervous her face had become a light shade of pink. Kaylie walked over o get a drink as she was a little parched. She hoped that she wouldn't spill anything on her dress. Kaylie sighed and applied more lipgloss. She looked up at the sky and kind of stared off into space. She looked into a small mirror she had brought with her to make sure her make up wasn't smeared. Some mascara and a bit of eye shadow was all she was wearing, but that was all she put on. She thought that she didn't need to put much on, but she agreed with herself that she looked quite exquisite.Open to interactions

Janet entered the Quidditch pitch breathless with excitement, the beautiful array of decorations was stunning. There were golden balls of light illuminating the pitch and making it look like a scene out of a fairy tale. These balls of light on closer examination were unburstable magical bubbles that some talented student had charmed. Janet had just left her best friend Ariana at the doors of the changing room, they had just helped each other with make up and hair, Ariana had done a stunning job on Janet’s gold and mint eyeshadow and hair which had been decorated beautifully with flowers. They would probably meet up later but right now they had separated for the moment to find their dates. Janet wandered around at the end of the pitch where she had promised to meet Fred, she fiddled with her simple gold necklace whilst she waited. There were certainly a lot of people there and at the moment Janet was feeling a little lost because she couldn’t see anyone she knew. She just kept reminding herself that Fred didn’t leave the common room that much longer after her and he would probably be there soon. It seemed ages for Janet because she was very impatient but really it wasn’t that long before Fred turned up.Open to interactions
“Janet!” She heard the call from behind her and swiftly turned around. She turned around to see a handsome figure dressed in a grey suit with simple black shoes. The outfit suited his silky dark brown hair and she was left quite mesmerised at the sight of him. She felt unbelievably lucky that Fred had asked her of all people to the ball and she found herself blushing.
“Fred! Finally you’ve been ages!” She said teasingly.
She hugged him and dragged him off to get some drinks and refreshments.
