Second Time's The Charm
@Mildred Wilson
Errands were a common thing for Teiki now. The extra money was exactly what she needed in order to get stuff for school. A new broom, interesting gadgets, potion supplies, gifts, whatever. They also helped fill up whatever left over time Teiki might've had after completing class and the additional work outside of classes.
The newest errand didn't seem too hard. After all, it had just said to clean up the greenhouses. 15 students seemed like a lot for such an errand, but she realized why once she had stepped into the greenhouses. The first year was wearing her yellow and black scarf, although the rest of her clothes suggested a more mild temperature. She was standing next to another girl as Teiki looked on into the "classroom". The two Hufflepuffs had decided to complete the errand together and the raven-haired girl was thankful for someone to help out with taking care of the greenhouses. That, and it made an errand a lot less boring when a person had someone else to talk to.
"Funny how I never realized that it needed cleaning until an errand came up about it." She stated lightly, taking a few steps forward to examine the area. It wasn't that it was a terribly dirty area, but rather the amount of area that was dusty. The greenhouses were large- enough to hold a class of students- and there were a few broken pots from classes or whatever else. Vines seemed to have grappled for new territory, escaping from their pots to explore around. In an odd way, it was a beautiful site. Her blue eyes would turn towards Mildred, a soft smile on her face.
"So, where do you think we should start? The vines, perhaps?" That seemed like the most manual of the tasks, although Teiki didn't know if it would be best to dust everything off before moving on.

Chocolate frogs.
A delicious treat for those craving something sweet, although the majority of people buy them for the cards- is what Mildred thinks, however in her case, she just wants to eat them. Chocolate has always been something of a guilty pleasure for the small girl when she was back home cramming for tests or school work she'd sneak some chocolate from the kitchen and eat them while working.
Once again, guided by her stomach like the dessert errand she had completed last month- she found herself walking towards the greenhouse to complete yet another errand for some chocolate frogs. To prepare for the cleaning fest she was going to do she had tied her hair in a ponytail and wore old clothng- she didn't really care what happened to them, she wouldn't mind if they had gotten dirty. Her mind thought back to the reward, she couldn't care less about the cards- perhaps she would give them to Teiki, she just wanted some chocolate to eat. In her mind, doing some manual labor like cleaning and receiving chocolate as a reward was a win-win to her.
Once she had read on the Errand sign up sheet that only fifteen people were allowed, she did feel a little bad- she always disliked the limited errands as she felt there were others more deserving of them than her however she decided that she really wanted to do something for herself so she signed up for it, plus if Teiki didn't want her cards perhaps she could give them to those who weren't able to make it in time to sign up.
Entering the greenhouse, she spotted Teiki and waved at her before quickly walking to stand next to her- it was a pleasant surprise to Mildred that would both be doing the errand together- well after, their fail of an attempt before at the last errand they had done before- it wasn't like something had ended terribly at the previous one, however, Mildred just felt like she could have done more when they were doing their previous errand. Her mind solely focused on making this errand a success and well those chocolate frogs.
In all honestly, similar to her previous errand where she had cleaned the dust off the corridors- she didn't realize the greenhouse was this dirty. She had walked towards a table containing a variety of plants and swiped her finger on the table and looked at the gray dust that had settled onto her finger. "I find that quite funny also, I suppose the reason is we don't normally go looking for dust." she wiped the dust onto her clothing, she walked around examining the damage and winced at the broken pots she spotted- surprised, that no one had injured themselves.
The greenhouse had always been a place of interest for the young girl, perhaps it was due to her being a Hufflepuff? She took an interest in everything there, she listened as Teiki mention they should start at the vines and she didn't have any other ideas and thought that would be a great place to start. She walked over to the vines, "So uhm... I should mention that I was never the best at cleaning" she touched one of the vines, "Are we going to cut these?" She titled her head confused- What else would they do? "Actually scratch that- dumb question, uhm unless there are weird ways to take care of overgrown vines" She looked back at Teiki, "You don't know any bizarre way to clean vines right? Like... hitting them with a shovel?"

Teiki bobbed her head, eyes wandering around the classroom again. Vines, broken pots, and dust. Seemed simple enough, right? The broken pots would simply be a matter of picking them up so that no one would hurt themselves. The dust was likely a simple matter. The vines would only be difficult if they were particular strong- which didn't seem the case. but, then again, Teiki was rather weak. It'd be a little embarrassing if she were weaker than these vines- at least it wasn't a full classroom of students. She would only be embarrassing herself in front of one person.
A small giggle would escape the girl, her eyes bright. "I'm sure there are plenty ways." A slight pause, before her smile grew larger, "The shovel idea isn't half-bad, but I don't think we'll need it for these ones." The shovel would only be necessary if the vines were really large. While they were somewhat large, the green vines weren't there quite yet. At least, that's what Teiki thought- but she wasn't the best judge.
"Clippers or hands, really. For cutting the vines." A quick bow of her head, and she swiveled around to find where all the gardening supplies could be found. It didn't take long, and soon she came back with two clippers. The Hufflepuff lightly placed them down on the dusty table, bringing her hands up to tie her hair into a ponytail. Blue eyes watched the clippers for a few moments, before bringing her gaze up to meet Mildred. "Ready?" A small pause.
"They shouldn't be too hard. And then once they're done, we can move onto the broken pots? Wait-" Her eyebrows would furrow slightly in contemplation. "Do you think scourgify would work for dusting?" It would likely make the process easier, although the First Year was a little uncertain as to whether she fully understood the extent of Scourgify.

Mildred listened to Teiki with her upmost attention- at least, the most attention the small girl could muster at the given moment. She nodded her head when Teiki mentioned there were many ways, the small Hufflepuff girl thought there were just too many ways... like she could set the vines on fire, drown them perhaps? and who knows if there were some sort of muggle way to take care of vines that she didn't know about. There were just too many ways for her, why couldn't there be a simpler way to do things?
At least, Mildred was glad that Teiki didn't think her idea was stupid or anything- she beamed widely at Teiki, "Thanks for not making fun of my idea, although such a shame I really wanted to show you my shovel skills." of course, she didn't really know anything about shovels or rather she didn't have any skills with them unless simply using them like a normal human being was a skill.
With a slight tilt of her head she watched as Teiki gather some tools and place them on the table, she picked up the clippers, "thank you!" She smiled at Teiki, "Ready as I'll ever be, let's show these vines not to mess with us huffles!" she then started using them- not on the vines although, she simply was happy with the sound they made as she played with the tool for a moment before finally holding a vine and clipping it. She watched as the vine piece fall down and wondered, could she eat this? "Hey Teiki... do you think I can eat this?' she placed her clippers down for a moment and held up the vine piece.
"Of course! We should really move the broken pots, I don't want anyone getting hurt" she looked back at the broken pot pieces laying there wondering just how no one has gotten hurt yet, "Uhm... scourgify ? I don't have that charm yet- I barely remember what it does also... isn't it the charm that makes things disappear?" she looked at Teiki confused.

Teiki tilted her head curiously. "Why would I make fun of it?" It was an odd idea that the Hufflepuff seemed momentarily fazed by. She blinked a few times, before returning to her normal self- soft smile and wide blue eyes. "Maybe some other time," Teiki decided, a small nod of her head, a flash of a smile towards the other.
A small giggle escaped her, the unusual feeling of pride welling up in her. It had come a lot more often once she had come to Hogwarts and been sorted into Hufflepuff. The young girl watched the vines for a few moments, before beginning to clip the leaves and vines that had spread out of their pots. She would pause when Mildred asked her a question, though, gently placing the clippers down. Her eyebrows were furrowed in thought, glancing at the vine curiously.
"You'd have to ask the professor," she replied, feeling a little sorry. Could vines stay edible for a while? Was it even edible to begin with, though, was the real question. Feeling like her answer wasn't enough, she added a shrug as well.
"Yeah, okay!" The girl would glance at the pieces before glancing back at Mildred. "It's, uh, a cleaning charm. I don't know if it will work, though..."
