Jo dashed into a changing room, definitely not panicky at all. It was like a game of Pac-man, only there were a million ghosts and no yellow dots. How could she ever survive the night this way, bouncing from room to room as she hid from all of the students she had embarrassed or horrified? Geez, even Evelynn probably hated her for whatever the hell had happened back in the common room. She had hoped the undulating mass of students would be wide enough to hide her from everyone (there was no privacy like a crowd, after all), but alas! It seemed that even the school itself was not wide enough to conceal her.
Balancing her plates precariously on her lap, the girl took a seat and began to indulge in some confectionary, completely unaware due to the presence of a female that she was occupying the boys' room. Anyone was welcome to join her if they liked, but later, of course. Now it was just her and food and pretty scenery. Ahh...yes. Now this was what she had come here for. All the social interaction could wait for later. She'd work through the Maslow hierarchy one by one, starting with nourishment. Jo had skipped dinner in anticipation of the event, and the cupcakes were beyond delectable. Although she had neglected to take a goblet from the assortment of chalices, it was perhaps all for the better as the drinks themselves were a complete mystery. Were they fruit punch? Pumpkin juice? Something else? Spiked with a bit of love potion? She wouldn't put it past one of her fellow first-years to do so, considering some of the events that had gone down recently.
Pumpkin juice... that reminded her of a specific event that had gone down recently in the Gryffindor section of the great hall. Rafa's fist, the face of a certain Slytherin, a goblet raised to a certain boy's demise... a boy who was now for some unholy reason in the same room with her, although (Merlin be praised) he hadn't noticed her yet. @Jack Burnett He was wearing a strange and rather foppish green ensemble, although with her current outfit it wasn't very wise to her to judge that book by its cover.
Should she flee this room as well? No, she would not. She would not return to hide herself among the masses, among who were Wren and Victor, to whom who she had no words to address. It was do or die.
"Hello, Jack. And to think I would actually get to enjoy tonight. How's it going down there? Still hurting, I hope?"
Brushing a few crumbs off her dress along with the undeniable fact that she had been drowning her paranoia and sorrows in heaps of food, she primped her hair as she walked up to him, casually brushing her hand across the well-hidden "lucky" bobby pin. She'd need all the luck she could get tonight.
"Dressed to the T, I see, Burnett. Tell me, does your wand work for anything other than conducting an orchestra?"
It was foolish to outright initiate a fight between them with that Hufflepuff prefect nearby, but Jo was willing to take a chance on a few risky words.

Earlier that day, Slade had slumped down on the dorm couch. It was a weird and interesting year for him, starting at a new school, in a far off strange land, in the middle of no where. It was amazing and yet also strangely recluse. Growing up in the muggle world, he remembered having no problem making friends, and talking with people. Yet it was almost the opposite, he still had no problem approaching or talking, yet he found that he still hasn’t made a connection with anyone that he could call a friend. It made him feel weird, and he didn't really like that feeling, as that wasn't who he was, or how he was raised. Sitting there contemplating as to what to do, some of the kids were whispering and giggling about dressing up and quidditch pitch, and when. That's all he could make out, he sat there thinking, "This is probably the best time to introduce people to who I am." He got up and started looking through his clothing situation, eyes and hands darting through, looking for something decent to wear, he liked to dress up decently, his mom use to dress him growing up, and kept up with style; he was glad he brought a bunch of his normal/and dress attire and put together something semi-formal.
Slade found himself getting changed in the locker room, amongst a bunch of others getting changed as well. There was a bunch of excited murmuring going on, talking about who came with who, if they were going to dance with so and so. It was all over the place, he was excited, but kept it to himself, his heart was pounding faster than normal, but he wanted to implement himself, and make some friends finally. The year has been tough, school work was different, the sports wasn't what he was used to, but He still enjoyed playing it, quidditch was a lot of fun. He thought about trying out next year, see how it went, some team comradery was probably the best way to make some friends.
He pulled out his purple dress shirt, black vest, skinny purple and black tie, black jeans, brown belt, purple and black socks, and a pair of fresh white kicks to go along with it. Normally He would only dress up for family events such as birthdays, family get togethers, and weddings, but never for a school event or anything from the sort. He thought it was strange, he didn't really care about something like this, he had fun at events, he liked to dance and mingle, he does a pretty mean lock and pop, and figured this was the best way to go about it, especially after how he heard about all this.
As he finished buttoning up his vest and, straightening it out, He was nervous. It was weird, he shouldn't be so nervous, his palms were a little sweaty and he could feel his heart speeding up. Looking in a mirror he thought to himself [color=chocolate"Well, this is it, lets go!"[/color] and he walked out of the locker room following behind some of the kids.

WHAT? Aurelia had almost let a shriek escape her lips. Who knew that the beautiful part-veela she was dolling up was none other than Rafael D'Spacito's date. "I do know who Rafael is, yes. He is a member of my club. S.W.A.G. Spells, wands and games club, I am sure you heard about it." Aurelia said, nodding her head lighlty. Of course, Aurelia had heard of Rafael, the had not the best relationship and the Gryffindor was a member of her very own club. However, the tension she had with the boy was of her least concern. Sure, she would love to see the reaction on the boy's face when he realised that Aurelia had won over his date had his date not been Lydia of all people, it was the intimacy Rafael had with the very annoying yet beautiful Anastasia Beckett that bothered her. During the last S.W.A.G game, Rafael had not hesitated for even a second to take the hit of Astrea's knockback jinx, despite the fact that there was a blindfold hindering his vision. They were more than just friends, Aurelia was sure of it. Poor Lydia. It was all of a sudden that Aurelia felt a nagging desire to protect the child. Blame it on the veelacharm, however, deep down, the monster hunter herself knew that the feeling was genuine. Lydia was too innocent and pure and Rafael, being the hormonal teen he was, was going to break her heart.
"Unfortunately, D'Spacito and I are not on good terms. We had a conflict in the common room. Yet he still attends the club sessions likely because I saved him once from a blood-crazed dhampir during one fo the games." Perfectly shaped brows furrowed as she spoke. However, Aurelia never really had an instance where she dealt with another's feelings. How would she explaining it all without the risk of upsetting the gorgeous angel? Or worse, it would likely break her own heart if tears were involved. Lydia needed to know the truth."Lydia..." she began " I might be wrong, but I think he... is with someone else. Anastasia Beckett, she is a second year. I have seen them in the common room, after one of our games."
"I am sorry, Lydia, I simply do not want to see an angel-like you get hurt both figuratively and literally speaking. You must know that Rafael has an inclination to violence and I am not referring to those quidditch games," She explained, each word earnest. Her hand rubbed the girl's back to comfort her. Having experienced the boy's violence first hand, Aurelia knew exactly what he was capable of.
Aurelia's eyes met the veela's hues. The least Aurelia could do was give the Hufflepuff something to look forward to now that her mood had been tossed downhill no thanks to the monster hunter. With the wave of her wand and incantation, an array of brightly coloured flowers sprouted from her wand. She began placing the vibrant blooms with a ginger grip of her fingers into the girl's ocean-blue hair. "What do you think?" Proud of her own artistry, Aurelia beamed, lifting the gloom that hung in the air from the discussion.
"Look on the bright side. You have me. Your hair is gorgeous, and your dress must have came with a hefty pricetag. It would be a shame not to enjoy yourself tonight. Besides, I never got asked out. Surprising, eh? I am just here to have fun." Not really, Aurelia had attended the ball solely to keep an eye on the peculiars. Yet she would technically be doing her job even if she was by Lydia's side. She was a non-human after all. "Then again, D'Spacito had agreed to go to the ball with you. You two must be good friends, I assume?"

Arrived in robes and dressed in the changing room earlier.
Oliver had been at the event pretty early, mostly sticking to food tables. He allowed for some self spoiling during events, so he decided to clear out one of the tables. When he was sitting exhausted on a chair soon after, digesting his dinner worthy of three days, he noticed Erin Ryan and some boy coming down from the stands. He thought he recognized him, Paracelsus... possibly.
He stood up as he watched them head to the changing rooms, surrounded by partying students. Oddly, they seemed already pretty dressed up, curiosity filled Oliver. Erin even had her bag, what could she have forgotten? Maybe they were looking for someone. The boy decided he'd just have to go and find out! The young Ravenclaw begun to walk after them, his main motive being to ensure Erin's safety. It was only fair, she did protect him too... sometimes.
Oliver tip toed needlessly around the main section of the Secret Blossom Ball and followed the pair from the dark. Watching them go in, he followed suit. First an exchange at the entrance before they entered the boy's changing room. Wait a darn second! Erin just entered the b-b-boys room! Oliver froze before thanking his lucky stars. Only half an hour ago he was nearly butt naked standing in the center of that room. He would have been mortified if Erin had walked in then... maybe.
Following in, Oliver stopped outside the boys changing room entrance and put his back to the wall before peering around to look into the room. This was not good, Erin seemed to be confronting Quinn Healy, he didn't think the outcome was going to change from their last exchange. He looked around again to see Erin reaching past Quinn for something. He couldn't make out what it was, it was too blocked, but at least it wasn't a confrontation. He sighed in relief, maybe it was just a coincidence Quinn was looming before her.
Nonetheless, Oliver placed a hand on his wand. If he knew one thing about Erin, she could turn a tea party into a bar brawl in an instant. Oliver was also supposed to be security for the evening, being part of the Martial Arts club. Although he wasn't really too worried on that duty as his record of using magic during balls was not good whatsoever, this was his best friend here. He'd have her back if she needed it... always.

-Interacting with @Aurelia Notrésvace-
As Aurelia said she did know Rafael, the red headed girl felt kind of relieved, even if she didn't know why; she nodded at her works when the older girl asked her if she knew about her club, before looking back at her through the mirror.
She frowned slightly when Aurelia clarified that she was not in good terms with the Gryffindor boy, wondering why that might be; her curiosity grew even more once the older girl added that she had saved Rafael's life once. What happened, and why did he need to be saved?
Lydia noticed Aurelia frown, and almost told her that she didn't need to talk about it if she didn't feel comfortable or anything, but her words died on the tip of her tongue as the older girl started speaking again. Her green eyes slightly widened at Anastasia's name, bringing back the wave of jealousy she had felt during the Unofficial Quidditch game; it only got worse the more Aurelia revealed to her: what did she mean she saw them in the common room, saw them doing what?
The doubts that Rafael might have had a girlfriend came back rushing on her, her eyes swelling up with tears as she tried her best to fight them; it made no sense in her mind, why would the Gryffindor boy ask her out, if he was with Anastasia?
Lydia slightly shook her head, refusing to believe that; Rafael wasn't the type of person to play with someone's feeling like that, she was sure of it, Aurelia must have misinterpreted the situation. But if Aurelia's previous words had felt like a punch in the stomach for the Hufflepuff girl, her next ones felt more like a cold shower; her eyes looked up to the girl through the mirror, her face the essence of confusion. Rafael had an inclination to violence? The red headed girl tried to think about all of her previous encounters with the boy, but never, not even once she had ever had the feeling that he might have been a violent person.
As Aurelia's wand produced beautiful flowers in her hair, Lydia kept silent as her brain worked a mile a minute, thinking about why the older girl had said all of that about Rafael. She tried to analyse what she knew: Aurelia knew who Rafael was and admitted not be on in good terms with him, and at the same time she said things that made no sense to Lydia, since they portrayed the Gryffindor boy as a completely different person from the one she knew. There was only one logic conclusion for Lydia, and that was that, for some kind of reason, Aurelia didn't want her to be friends, or get close, to Rafael and she must have decided to make up those lies just to mess with her. But at the same time, Lydia did not want to believe that either; she alway looked for the best in people, always keen to give them second chances, so it was really straining for her to consider that possibility.
"The hair looks lovely..." Lydia managed to answer, her brows still furrowed. "Yeah, Rafael and I are friends," she added, her eyes looking down at her hands. She felt so confused, not knowing what to believe; a voice in the back of her mind kept telling her that she knew Rafael, they had spent some time together, shared emotions, while Aurelia... She didn't know her that much; yes, she was a really pleasant person, and it was nice to talk with her and all of that, but she also just insinuated that a person that Lydia cared about wasn't being genuine with her.
Lydia bit her bottom lip as she registered her feet moving, making her turn towards the older girl. She felt the need to protect Rafael's honour, to make sure that the other girl knew that she was wrong. "I think you're wrong about Raf," Lydia told her, her eyes sparkling with a mix of determination and frustration. "He is a good person, and he would have never asked me out if he had a girlfriend," she added as she shook her head.
Lydia then looked up at Aurelia, and tried her best not to sound rude with her next words. "Thank you for helping me with the hair, I don't think I would have managed to fix them up by myself, but I really need to go now," She needed to find Rafael, to make sure that she was right, and the only way to do that was to get away from Aurelia and find her date, even if that meant that she would have needed to ask him about his relationship with Anastasia.
With one last look towards Aurelia, and some guilt building up in her stomach for the way she had just talked to her, Lydia quickly walked to the door of the Changing Rooms and went outside.
She needed to find Rafael soon, and she needed answers.

Cassie stared at the dress she bought for the Ball, they opted whether they going or not. After all Cassie used to this kind of event since their parents always took them whenever their parents colleague held one. Finally Cassie got up from their bed, grabbed the black garment bag and shoved it into the ratty backpack they had, hoping the garment bag was sturdy enough so the dress they brought did not have any wrinkles on them.
If someone ask why did they bring a backpack, Cassie could just answered it they want to throw the backpack away to the trash bin. Cassie walk the path towards the Quidditch Pitch, when they arrived them, Cassie saw their best friend - Lizzie - already there wearing a sleeveless blue long dress. Cassie signaling to wait as they headed to the changing room area.
Upon arriving at the changing room, Cassie saw others students already put on their dresses, some chatted with their friend while getting their make up on or other things that they needed to be done before entering the main arena. From the changing room, Cassie heard the faintly music that being played. Cassie then scanned the available make up table and found one. Cassie hurriedly walk toward that spot.
Once arrived at the empty make up table with lights adorning the mirror, Cassie opened their ratty backpack and hang it on the bar near the mirror, they took out the essentials make up equipment that they need and align it on the table. First they put on their make up first so it would not smear the dress, put on the earrings then the dress itself.
Cassie took a few stepped back and saw their reflection on the mirror. Cassie let their natural wavy brown hair down. Their parents always told them to look at their best on any occasions, tonight is one of them. Once Cassie satisfied with their look, they put away the make up equipments into the ratty backpack and walk out from the changing room into the main arena.

ENTERING FROM MAIN EVENT
By the time the Ravenclaw got to the change rooms her legs were wobbling from the pain in her shoes, her mother had sent them for her and even though she did love her, she wished she didn't wear them.
Grace sat in front of a mirror and took her shoes off neatly and set them in front of her.
When she saw herself in the mirror, she knew she needed a fix-up, her hair was messed up, her makeup looked like she was more a rockstar than an elegant princess, and the braid on the back of her head looked like it was gonna fall any minute.
Grace started with the hair, so it wouldn't get in the way with the makeup.
She took the braid out and let it fall down to it original place in her hair, she brushed her hair with a hair brush from her bag, it was a quick brush because she had no knots.
Grace re-did the braid and set it where it was supposed to, which used a lot of clips and hair bands.
Next was the makeup.
Grace wiped her makeup off, and got her kit from her bag.
She quickly put lipgloss on and her eyeliner, it still stayed neat as ever.
Grace finally finished, she got up, took her bag, an left to change rooms.

↓ Outfit ↓A boy appeared at the scene soon enough, introducing himself by his name but the third year only caught the first name; Vladimir. He has not heard about him before and if he did, it could not have been very important. He appeared to be one of many faces, blurring into the masses. However something about the way he boldly approached Jake, out of everyone in this group, could even raise Alan's suspicions. Why would he be waiting to meet Jake? At a ball that was a rule break in itself? That was the last of all places Alan would have expected the smallest in their group.
Then Jack appeared, the nice one, the one that had kissed Willow that day. What a confusing thing to do in the middle of an argument in the great hall but it was not Alan's job to judge. He had come to the term that the taller boy was kind of okay even though he did not actually know him much except for that he probably liked Willow. He was wearing a weirdly pink suit but with such confidence and an attitude that Alan could only stare at him wide-eyed; he was wearing such an outfit knowingly and with such confidence that it would have amused Alan, if Jake did not start acting weirdly right then.
"Something b-bad? Wh-What do you mean b-by that?", the third year wondered as he glanced at the younger Hufflepuff, shadows of worries clouding his eyes. His gaze shifted to the boy, Vladimir who was excusing himself which in itself was odd enough. What was going on? "D-Did something happen, Jake? D-Did that guy d-do anything?", he inquired, shifting his gaze back to the smaller blonde in concern.
He would have waited for an answer but the Hufflepuff suddenly started to cry and whimper, completely getting caught off guard by the tears on the younger badger's face, the third year took a step back and cast George a helpless glance silently wondering if he would have any idea what was going wrong. Alan had nothing here to distract the young badger, but something told him that the distraction tactic would not work here; it was no homesickness but what was it?
"Bludger?", he asked, as his mind was pondering what those were again. He knew they had to do with Quidditch but he was not exactly sure which of the utensils they were until he remembered watching the game with Flash. What would Jake want with those dangerous things? He was about to ask, when Jake began to turn and run. He did not get far, running right into Quinn. Alan froze and looked up to Quinn who reacted equally concerned or confused, but Alan could only shake his head at him with a confused frown. "I h-have no idea...", he whispered in answer to the half giant his eyes once again shifting to George and even Jack in the hopes one of them could solve this mistery.

Jo found herself distracted momentarily from her current task of instigating a fight with Jack. It seemed the group had moved on to more curious subjects of speech.
"What's all this about Bludgers, now?"
It was only then that she noticed one of the smaller boys had been crying. How selfish it had been of her to eschew providing much-needed comfort in favor of provoking unnecessary violence! Ignoring the irony of herself just attempting to provoke violence, the witch rushed to the aid of the sobbing boy, her nemesis all but forgotten in the sudden rush of instinct. Punching Jack could wait. It certainly couldn’t wait very long, but it could wait all the same. There were more important matters to attend to.
"What's happened? Who did this? Did anyone do something to him?”
She glared at the surrounding students with a harsh, guilty-until-proven-innocent look, as if waiting for one of them to confess to angering or injuring the boy in some way. She was quite unaware of the current predicament the little Hufflepuff was in, and even if she had known she would have been ill-equipped to deal with it. All she knew was that cupcakes were always a good remedy for tears. At least, they often were for her own, and although she had no idea how the boy would react she hoped it would be favorably. Perhaps one of the more callous students had threatened to bash him with a Bludger. Whatever it was, the boy, whatever his name was, looked far too adorable and kind to ever do anything to warrant any verbal violence.
"Here. Come over here with me. I brought plenty of food. We can just sit down and eat and chat about it, okay? Nothing bad is gonna happen. I promise you."
She could make no such promise, but comfort was always good in times like these. Jo sighed internally, now glad her gluttony had prompted her to take food enough for two.
She extended her hand to the boy, and as she did, a few words sprang into her mind. Words the Sorting Hat has said to her an eternity (yet less than a year) ago. She hadn’t understood them then, hadn’t understood why Slytherin would corrupt her, as the Hat had feared. But now she realized the truth of its words. Only a few months ago, anger, not compassion would have won. She would have ignored the random boy’s tears and let her past hurt consume her entirely. And Slytherin might have encouraged her to do so - to feed her hatred and let it fester. Gryffindor really has warmed her; whether for the better or for the worse, she had changed.
Whether this would give her a new friend or harm her in ways she could not even begin to fathom, well, only time could tell. For now, if all went well, cupcakes awaited.

"Undur ovur an' pun...noo weet, ovur undur an' pun...reeght?" The young Gryffindor fumbled over the finishing touch of his fly-plaid ceremonial wear. He had dabbled with the idea of wearing an ordinary English style tuxedo to the ball but that wasn't exactly exciting, festive or really in the spirit of being a proud Scotsman. Besides, Hogwarts was in Scotland, if anything he would be the only one properly dressed. He attempted to hold everything in place as he gently took the kilt pin in his hand. It was a beautiful thing, only silver plate but still finely made. One was given to every member of the MacAllister family as soon as they could be trusted with sharp objects. The pin itself was shaped like a sword, as was traditional for most Kilt pins, however this particular style was specially made with the first half of the blade reshaped to a silver fist clutching a small dagger with the word 'Fortiter' emblazoned around it, the word of House MacAllister.
The main suit was a hand-me-down from his Father, from when he was little, as such the design was a little outdated but gave off an air of rustic traditionalism. The Kilt was all AJ's though, he had been given it for Christmas. Finally he got the entire ensemble finished up. He tightened his Sporran, dusted off his dress shoes and walked out of the changing room, hoping not to stand out too much.
He looked around to try and find his 'Date' for the evening but he presumed she'd just gotten sick of waiting for him to get changed and had made her way to the party already, and so he headed there as well. On his way he spotted another student clad similarly in a Kilt with a distinct and unique tartan. He gave them a knowing smile and a nod and even a friendly pair of finger guns to denote his approval.
Having not gone to the Winter Ball he wasn't sure what to expect, but he was ready to enjoy himself.
Heading off to the Main spot, see you all there.
