April 30, Birthday!

The morning of Aldric’s birthday he awoke to a beautiful spring day. It was April 30th the last day before May. And, it was his birthday! when he awoke he didn't see anyone else up, so he changed and went outside.

When he walked outside, he gasped as he saw his brother Alfis, Some of his friends, His sister Lilith, and her friends, and some other people he didn't even know yet. They were standing outside holding a cake with green frosting, and bright silver sparking candles. There were green and silver ribbons all around, hanging all in one corner of the great courtyard.

Aldric smiled. “You did all of this... for me?”

“Of course,” his brother replied.

“We don't know what we would do without you!” Lillith said proudly

Alfis handed Aldric a small bundle.

“Here, I made you something”

Aldric took the bundle, unwrapped the parchment, and revealed a Beautiful quill.

“I borrowed that from a Griffin after magical creatures class. I know how much you love writing, so I thought it would be perfect.” His brother explained.

Then his sister walked up too.

“ Don't worry, I got you something too.”

Aldric unwrapped her package, and found a gorgeous bookmark that was enchanted to change nature scenes every 10 seconds.

“Thank you so much!” Adric exclaimed to both of them.

“Oh and Mother, Father, and Lexis sent you something too.” His sister stated. “It's still at the Owlery, and you can get it after the cake.”

Aldric smiled and blew the candles out.
