Grace couldn’t believe the risk she was taking, she would never do this, but she already was walking to the Quidditch pitch, it was weird.

She hid her outfit in her bag that she takes everywhere with her, it wouldn’t look suspicious because this bag goes with her wherever she goes since her EpiPen was in there, but it was suspicious that she was going there.

Grace quickly changed into her bluish white dress with the beautiful different colored flowers, she slipped on the flower bracelet with her favorite color, blue, and put her beige shoes with the flowers on them, her hair was up in a braid swooped on the back of her head, and she was wearing the gray stockings that were in her uniform since she didn’t have any others. Grace looked in a mirror, and she loved her outfit.

Grace took a deep breath before going out onto the pitch, looking down, trying not to look at the other students, she always was embarrassed wearing pretty things but she took another deep breath and looked up, nobody was staring at her, so she kept walking, she looked around the pitch, it was amazing, Grace was excited for her “date” Savannah to come, they were just going as friends, right?

Grace looked at the food and drinks, that was the thing she had to be the most cautious about, she could choke to death or just get a bad allergic reaction, but either way, it was horrible, so she just had to look forward to the other things of the ball and not worry about possibly dying. “Everything is going to go fine...” she whispered, but that might not be true.

The Ravenclaw sighed, her the sky reflecting off her eyes and her lipgloss shined, she wore a bit of mascara and eyeliner but that was it, she wasn’t gonna go all out today, but she still looked absolutely beautiful.

Grace twirled around, not even falling this time, even though she was wearing somewhat high heel boots and she was very clumsy, Grace smiled, forgetting every worry she had.

Just as Blake was turning, two of the shimmering glasses filled high with what he hoped was fruit punch, he bumped into a lavishly dressed girl. His arm shot out, juice spilling over the rim of the glass and onto his hand with a noiseless slosh as he did his best to keep the spill away from the fluffy skirt of the girl's gown. Much to his luck, and amazement, the drink had landed only on his hands and dropped onto the floor.
"I'm sorry! I shoulda looked where I was goin. Are you ok?He shook his head anxiously, setting the glasses down to turn to the student. Although he hadn't walked into her roughly, he was more worried about the idea of having messed up her appearance. If there was one thing having his older sister had taught him, it was that girls did not like having the fix their hair or makeup once they had applied it. Was it possible to knock hair out of an arranged style with only your shoulder? He quickly wiped his hand off on a napkin as an after-thought, only now aware of the sticky liquid.

"Looks like I didna get yer dress,"he grinned in relief, relaxing noticeably after noticing the full skirt was unmarried with any red drops. His eyes traveled up to her face and a crimson blush seeped into his skin. He had only now realized, after the adrenaline and excitement of the situation, that he was rambling to a complete stranger after almost ruining her evening. As the embarrassment sunk in, he quickly cast his gaze to the side and cleared his throat to try and hide the rosie tint in his cheeks and his flaming ears.

This was a bad idea. It had been the first words to come to mind when Thora had heard about a supposedly secret ball, and they still echoed in her brain now as she sat at the edge of her bed, dressed, broom in hand, and banging boot-clad feet against the side of her bed. Anyone enrolled at Hogwarts had to know what an infamous history there was with events, and how disaster never failed to befall its participants, sooner or later. She was plenty aware that last year's Blossomball had not at all gone well, and the Masquerade Ball, just a few months ago, had been nothing short of traumatizing.

But even though the dread settling in her stomach was quite literally sickening and Thora was quite scared, she was going. She had to go. Even for the slight fear of blood and sharp objects ever since the Masquerade that could possibly hold her back, she knew she was capable. Arrogance had never been one of her traits, as she instead opted for modesty, but even she couldn't deny to herself that, though cowardly, she could come in incredibly useful.

The instructions had been to dress casually at first, but to bring an outfit to change into. Honestly, Thora saw no use in being dressed up. A dress, even if simple, had only proven to be cumbersome in the past. The skirts didn't allow the motion that sometimes was required to escape, and they were just uncomfortable, especially to a girl who'd grown up wearing overalls and old T-shirts. So, she'd settled on staying in her casual outfit.

An emerald knit sweater, leggings, and combat boots. She'd definitely be easy to pick out in the throng of dresses and suits. Even though even Thora recognized that her attire was far from ball-appropriate, she didn't really care anymore. In fact, she'd stopped caring about what others thought a long time ago. It was an outfit chosen more for practicality, and the country girl did feel much more secure in something she could run and ride her Nimbus 1700 in.

As the quite honestly scared girl stood alone, surveying the Quidditch pitch with wide green eyes, she couldn't help but feel out of place. It was almost sad, how so many were showing up pink-cheeked and excited, expecting a night of careless fun and a brief escape from the professors' watchful eye. Perhaps Thora was overly paranoid, waiting for something horrible to happen, but it was better to prepare for the worst, right?

Now, even with all of her doubt, she wasn't completely against the idea. She had a fair amount of respect for those who had planned the event, as she could imagine that it was no easy task. Despite her rule-following tendencies, the girl could understand why people felt this way. So much had happened recently, what with the undeniably convoluted murder investigation, the fresh wave of work each day, and, for the sneks, the attack on Slytherin, she couldn't deny that a little rest from the chaos sounded amazing. But in the form of a ball? Thora wasn't so sure.

Biting her lip, the Slytherin stepped into the Quidditch Pitch, for the first time feeling her stomach drop rather than the typical adrenaline rush that came with a match. Even if others were not, she was ready for whatever this ball was going to throw at her, wand in her right hand and broom in the other. Now all she could do was hope--and make sure--that this (and the Quidditch Pitch) didn't go up in flames. Literally.

Victor entered the ball, his face hidden behind a mound of flowers. He was weighed down on one side by his duffle bag. Why was everything do darn heavy all the time. He would set the vase of flowers down on the ground next to him as he found an isolated corner of the Quidditch field. He would fish out his box of chocolates and place them on top of the duffle bag. Perfect.

He was going to wait patiently now for Wren to arrive. He knew what color to look out for at least. Perhaps that was why they shared dress colors. A means to identify them from afar during times of festivity.

"Hello Wren." He said out loud. No, that was too common.

"Greetings... Salutations Wren."
He was still practicing sans a mirror in his lonesome corner.

"Hey Wren."
He tried again.

"Hi?" The questioning inflection.

"No-no. Yo Wren," that sounded cool. Girls like cool guys right? He was a cool guy!

An embarrassing spectacle, he would continue in his own personal world until addressed, nervously fixing his tie and brushing off imaginary dirt from his pants and breast. He was going to get through this. His efforts to psych himself up however were not working. He was just as nervous now as he was a few days ago as he penned letters and sent them off to Rafa carried on the wings of that angry, bitey bird. He envied Rafael, he was everything Victor was not - popular, well know, confident. What was he? A few years older, sure. He was also scared of his own shadow, traumatized by a terrible that bound him to a sociopath.

Anastasia Beckett had been both excited and extremely anxious about the "illegal" Blossom Ball. The moment she'd heard about it, she had begun her letter to Scott. She had considered asking one of her friends who was a boy, but she thought it was the prime opportunity to spend time with Scott and not be a complete mess. Parties were her prime environment. Her natural habitat. She had practically grown up in fancy parties that her parents had dragged her to as soon she could walk.

Anyway, her outfit was elaborate enough that, if she was stuttering mess, she could use that to distract. Another thing that she loved about parties was that she could flee an awkward situation by saying that she saw someone that she had to greet or that she was going to get something to drink and then just ditch whoever it was she was talking to. She hoped that she wouldn't need to do that, since she really did want to spend time with Scott and use the time to show that she was, in fact, a sane person. The one wild card was the American girl, Ami, that had somehow been invited along. Still, Ana just needed a few moments to be her normal self. Maybe not quite her normal self, since her normal self was a bit abrasive. Maybe a nicer version of her normal self.

Having gotten changed into her spectacularly poofy ballgown and setting her nimbus on the broom rack, she glanced around her. She was suddenly mildly regretting her choice of gown. The huge floor-length ballgown she wore wasn't exactly the most practical choice, but in her defense, she had chosen it when she had thought the ball was in a ballroom rather than a Quidditch pitch. Still, she could always Scourgify it if it was dirty.

Her shoes felt far heavier than she would have normally liked, but considering everything that was known to happen at Hogwarts events, they would be half decent weapons. That wasn't even considering the heels of her shoes. Not that she was planning on attacking people with her shoes, but seeing as the real Blossom Ball had been canceled for safety concerns, it was a good plan to have. Anyway, they were fabulous shoes that she would have worn even if they hadn't potentially needed to be used as weapons.

She really wanted coffee. She generally would have a cup or two at the start of longer evening events, which would get her through the event but not mess up her sleeping when the event was over. Still, seeing as she was a complete mess around Scott and what had happened last time she'd had coffee around him, she decided she would hold off for the moment. Anyway, that would be an excuse to leave later if Ami was a complete nasty tart like Ana thought she would be.

Her plan for the ball had already been thrown off by the irritating ginger joining them, but she had already thought of at least 3 possible back up plans. She hoped to have a chance to confess to Scott how she felt, since, somehow, he seemed to be completely oblivious. She wasn't sure how exactly, since, in her opinion, there was literally nothing she could have done to be more obvious. Boys weren't the most perceptive though. The mean American was though. Anastasia was almost certain that the other girl had zeroed in on the nature of Anastasia's invitation to Scott within about five seconds of meeting her.

Biting her lip nervously, she scanned the Pitch for Scott. The two had arrived together, but Anastasia had needed to change, since, unlike most of the boys, her outfit couldn't exactly fit inconspicuously under her regular robes. She twisted her fingers nervously as she looked for him. What if he had realized that she was insane and decided to run away? No. That wouldn't happen to Anastaisa Beckett of all people, right? She wasn't the person who was ditched at parties, she was the person who ditched others.

Her heart was suddenly in her throat and she was sure she was giving herself a mental breakdown before it had even started. She took a deep breath. At the moment, she caught sight of the blond boy. Her heart skipped a beat. He was somehow even handsome than he had been that morning with his rumpled hair and overall sleepy manner. It was really unfair to a girl's nerves for a boy to be that handsome and that kind. In fact, Ana would have been inclined to think that he had no flaws whatsoever, had it not been for his cluelessness when it came to her humongous crush on him. She approached him, smiling brightly. For the moment, the vile ginger was nowhere to be seen, so she would use this opportunity to try and talk to him and seem normal. "There you are! " she said, aware of how surprisingly perky she sounded. Attempting to take her energy down to a normal level, she continued. "I can't believe they were able to pull all this together without the professors finding out. It's quite lovely."

Marion was one of the first to arrive. Many of the other girls wee still primping and the boys were definitely peacocking. She would recognize Victor across the dance floor. he was protecting a vase of flowers and something else on the ground. No Vlad, weird since they were pretty much inseparable. She eyed the students there, Arlo was not among them.

Nothing wrong with a diversion. It had been some time since she had seen her house mate. Since the self-imposed isolation, they had both parted ways. "Vic!" Marion shouted, waving her hands as if he would not recognize her. "Vic!" Her sandals were flats, a kindness for her diminutive date.

She would rush across the dance floor. A social creature by nature. If he was paying attention to her shouts she would not hear his embarrassing practice session. "Vic!" She would laugh. "I did not know you were coming, where's Vlad?" He did not see him anywhere. He was likely on his way she reasoned. It was always the three of them and this evening with perhaps three more. They ere really extending themselves this time. It was a bit exciting. She had turned down every offer for a date fr the previous two years, they had to protect their secrets. It was refreshing to just... be for once. "I want you to meet my..." she almost forgot that they probably shared a dorm. He was a Slytherin like them. "Actually you probably like know him, Arlo."

It did not take long for people to start filling in once supper was over. Her first entrance photo was of Kara Capricorn in a elegant flowered teal dress. *Click* Very soon after that was the Gryffindor Prefect Xailah Alptraum looking as usual like a Victorian goth but sadly no where in sight would be the wauwing Schrödinger. *Click*It was almost as if the next person was the walking opposite of their previous DADA professor Aoi. Tyranni Whiethorn would be wearing a sleek white ensemble with designed paint on her face. *Click* Ruka Tân came in dressed casually in green with grey jeans. *Click*

Maria Dee came in with a classic ballgown design with a flowered top and white skirt. *Click* Alexx Séverin The Editor in Chief to the Hogwarts Headliner, someone Santario knew pretty well, walked in wearing a green jumpsuit and very extravagant earrings. *Click* Lizzie Verdine walked in covered by a long coat with the peak of a stunning blue dress underneath set off by some cream flats. *Click* It would seem that Santario was not as underdressed as some of the other people considering Calanthe Choi just made an entrance wearing a dark red hoodie, black jeans, and dirty white sneakers. She also didn’t exactly look happy, but oh well. *Click*

Blake Bayne (Your outfit links aren’t working) had a shiny silver belt buckle escorted by his npc sister. *Click* Bridget Collins rolled in to the familiar quidditch pitch in a short white dress adorned by blue flowers topped off with a leather jacket. Santario admitted that the combination looked very well on her former quidditch teammate. *Click* Joey Short dressed to impress with his large collar long-coat and bowtie. *Click* Jo Morgan looked like she took a page out of Xail’s book when it came to the Victorian Gothic dress and lips blue enough to match her purse. *Click* Grace Mint looked nothing short of what her muggle friends would call a Disney Princess. Though instead of walking with her head held high her entrance photo had her looking at her shoes. *Click* Thora Larkston another previous quidditch teammate came in like she was looking to kick butt and chew bubble gum and this girl didn’t seem like she had any bubblegum hidden in her stylish knit sweater or combat boots. *Click*

Victor Moore made her pause for a moment and not because she though he was cute. No he was one of the ones that heard the strange noises in the Slytherin common room before they were attacked by spiders. His presence here almost guaranteed someone would start a fist fight. None the less he was stylish in his white suit and wing tipped shoes. This might be the last photo of him alive. *Click* Anastasia Beckett another princess walking in. Hold on to your boyfriends girls because this one is bound to draw every eye in the room. *Click* Marion Davenport the other culprit of the heard noises in the Slytherin common room. She was apart of a confrontation that Santario started and others had shortly followed through with, but San had disappeared from the area when the physical confrontation started. (or in other-words I got very ill and couldn’t keep up). She was dressed in a lovely blush pink dress and it would be a shame if someone attacked her in it. Santario hoped there would not be fights surrounding these two but Slytherins were still mad as far as San knew and some still wanted answers. *Click*

Grace was lost in thought, thinking where Savannah was, not even thinking about the people around her, then Grace felt someone bump into her, and a splash, Grace’s eyes widened as she looked at her dress, thank god, she didn’t get anything on it, and her hair and makeup was fine.

"I'm sorry! I shoulda looked where I was goin. Are you ok?” Grace heard an unfamiliar voice say, she looked up, it was a boy, Grace was past his shoulders but only a bit, he seemed to be looking at her dress instead of her, Grace looked at him, he finally looked up at her and he started to blush, Grace was a bit confused really but a bit flattered.

Grace shook her head, what was she thinking? “It’s fine, are you okay?” she asked him, almost touching his shoulder but awkwardly moved her hand away, it looked like the drink only spilled on the floor and the poor boys hand.

Grace smiled at him “Ummm, I’ll see you around” Grace blushed and walked away, more people were coming, oh no, Grace wasn’t one for big crowds, she took her deep breaths and knew it was going to be okay.

Grace smiled at the newcomers and took a walk around some more, she noticed some kids talking with other kids while Grace was there alone, she knew Savannah was going to come at some point, maybe she wasn’t that good at makeup and Grace was or something, Grace knew she will come at some point.

Due to the things Grace heard of the last ball she was a bit worried about the outcomes of this ball, Grace felt her dress swish as she walked around, she tried to keep her happy mood on, but she wasn’t the most positive person in the world.

Grace stared at the sky, it wasn’t so late out but it was getting darker, Grace wished she brought a book with her, it would help her calm down, her eyes then lit up, she did have a few books in her bag, but that would be rude, right? Grace didn’t know.

Grace decided she would read until her “date” showed up, she sat down, her back on the wall, her dress flew as she sat down, and she started reading the book, but she felt uneasy, what if she didn’t notice Savannah coming?

Ugh, the drama in the poor Ravenclaw’s mind, she chewed on her nail, wait, that’s disgusting, Grace took deep breaths, why was this happening to her?

Grace knew that she should read, it calms her nerves down, so she opened the book again and started reading, and it worked, she felt better, the very tight knit in her stomach unknotted and her head washed away the worries like a wave as she read on and on.

As jo was heading down from the stairs leading to the stands she looked slightly shaken, her whole body had a slight shiver to it as she rubbed her hands together to warm herself, she was cold she was never used to staying outside for more than an hour or two, so this was new for her. She headed for the food and drinks are, as she hadn't had supper, seeing how others were dressed made her smile for a moment, everybody was wearing what seemed to be what they loved, she quickly stopped as if not to look odd in the crowd and hurried to the food and drinks, she picked out a small sandwich walked aside and sat down as she started looking into the crowd and eating the sandwich, hoping that her friend has arrived, already doubting it that he was going to come she watched the others, as she ate.

It wasn't new for Jo not to be in the crowd, she preferred to stay out if possible, but the liveliness and magic in the air had attracted her as she watched, she moved her hair out of her face to keep it from getting in her eyes as she watched. She enjoyed the music, she enjoyed music overall really, she at times turned it into her coping mechanism when she was sad or nervous, but the music was really great in her view from the tables.

Aura couldn’t wait! She arrived earlier than many students, but had not had her makeup and hair done at the castle. She had walked to the Quidditch pitch in a dark outfit, but at arrival of the Quidditch pitch changing rooms had changed into a flowing, flowery light blue, long dress. She did a silver and blue eyeshadow color. Her feet adorned blue stilettos encrusted with diamonds, and around her neck hung a blue and silver flowery necklace. Matching jewelry hung from her ears and wrist, and she was ecstatic for the night laying out before her. Students crowded the pitch, and Aura couldn’t believe no teachers had found them yet. For such a large turnout, it was surprisingly quiet. The blossom ball was supposed to be cancelled, yet word spread fast around here. She had found out when she overheard a student telling her friend all about the attire she had picked out for this evening. Aura never considered herself a rule breaker, but here she was, defying the word of the headmaster, and many professors. She loved it! A word was left unspoken among the students, passing through the room. Rumors spread that the professors were waiting for a peak to launch their punishment for all in attendance. Students were told it was dangerous, and mystery lurked in the corners. Aura grinned, peering around. Time to find someone to talk to.

I tend to go on and on. Ooh, nice hair! You know, when I was younger, I had a hairstyle not unlike that. I am beautiful, don’t you think? Ooh, what a beautiful blue morpho! Don’t you love color! It fills our world with love!
