Blossom Adventure Mahou Only

Mio lifted her head after the awkward introduction of herself to find that another presence had just arrived at the boat. And the moment Mio laid eyes on her, it felt like she had a presence that Mio wouldn't forget. A doll. That is the first thing that came from her head. She reminded Mio of a doll. All glammed up with pink and gold accents, and to top it off, with a very cute twin braids that run through her shoulders. She looks like the complete opposite version of her, from Mio's dark attire and her pinkish bright clothing, plus her bubbly personality and Mio's obvious 'deadly' charm, they look like they belong at the complete opposite end of the spectrum. And that is enough to intrigue the short-haired girl.

The first thing she notices about the new guest on the boat is definitely her pink cherry blossom-themed bag she is carrying with her. It is a beautifully crafted bag, and she certainly carries it with charm. Her mind starts to be tempted by a... certain habit of hers, but no, it would be too obvious if she were to 'accidentally' lose her bag in a boat filled with only 4 people. And that bag might also be too flashy for her to...

Before she finished her dark thoughts, Mio shook her head in shame. This is not the time for any of that. The point of her coming here today is the possibility of her making new friends, and if she would reveal her ..habit now, that would just drive them away.

"Morning to you as well, Kasasagi." She greets Mio with the same bubbly personality she greeted the others. "Good morning... uh, sorry, what is your name?" Mio asks in her usual monotonous voice, although there is an unusual excitement that Mio is quite foreign to herself. "I like your bag. Its very pretty." She continues while also sipping her fruity flavoured drink in her hand.

The boat was moving slowly, but the cherry blossom petals weren't. Somehow, a lot has blown past her face, hair, and even drinks, which is starting to infuriate Mio. And also, she felt like their boat was the one getting the most petals compared to the others.

"Do you think our boat is getting the most petals?" She looks at the floor of the boat that is starting to pile with more petals. Which are a bit concerning.

At the total silence that met Sara's words, despite his large frame - he shrunk. It could be seen through his lowered head and eyegaze, followed by the tension in his shoulders slumping down like a defeated dog. That line again that cut him. It had happened before a little after the carriage incident at hogsmead. It was what drove Sara to urge Ye-Jun to be more open to Tone. That by doing so, would encourage Tone to do it too. Then again… he supposed Tone didn't have to answer. Sara hadn't asked a question, he just stated a truth. Whether or not Tone believed it, was up to the other. But it was indicated to Sara at least, that he didn't think it enough important to give a response to.

That was… fine. Sara nodded in slightly apology, before heading to the boat. Soon enough they were joined in again by Tone and a younger girl.

Sara was about to panic enough to ask if she wanted tea - if her entrance hasn't caught him off guard. " R-rude… U-um.. sorry..?". Though another apology was at the tip of his tongue, he wasn't.. exactly sure what she meant by being rude. Still, it could be anything Sara wasn't aware and he wanted to be ready for it. Tone and Miharu sat on one side, while Ginyami and Sara sat on the other. What an.. interesting boat ride. While Tone begun talking to her, Sara had already placed a cup in front of her and poured her a drink. Which went a lot more smoothly now that he was getting used to being on a boat.

" N-no not yet I don't think I - we - had the pleasure yet". He placed down his pot before steadying himself on the seat and bowed down in greeting. " N-nice to meet you for the first time. Kohana Sara… e-either name is fine. Your name is.. Maria-chan? Would you like us to address you that way?".

While the boat rocked into movement, he took the change to glance at Tone's hand - as subtly as he could. But if there was a mark of sort, he would frown a bit. Either way he wouldn't say anything. He didn't want to risk putting Tone under an uncomfortable conversation again.

He glanced at the other boats while they got closer to the cherry blossoms. Managing to see the other boats from a distance. Oh! There was Miharu, with … Katsuro .. that was interesting. But in the boat they also had Kanae and Mio. Sara got to know those juniors better in all separate occasions, he wondered if this would be their first time interacting. When the blossoms fell, it hadn't meant anything to him that they blossoms hardly disturbed them. They were dreadful.

Sara instinctively placed a semi closed fists on the rest of his upper lip. He couldn't particularly tear his eyes away from the gentle fall of petals that passed through them - Ginyami looked extra pretty with petals behind him. Then again, he supposed the blossoms made everyone look a touch more softer than usual. Even Maria, whom Sara had never met before but held the demeanor of confidence Sara likely couldn't achieve all his life - looks gentler.

Instead of focusing on the Ginyami the blossoms, he focused on something else he didn't like : vegetables. He tentatively took a cucumber slice from the bowl, surprised at the crispiness and chill of it still. The bitterness stayed on his tongue that it temporarily had his attention away and focused instead on his boat mates.

Soon, the boat had become crowded with two more students joining in. One was someone she knew from the Quidditch Team so not a complete stranger. The other introduced herself as Kasasagi Mio. Not a person that she had interacted with before, perhaps seen in the passing down halls of the school. “Good morning, Kasasagi-san, Suzuki-san.” Miharu greeted back with the gentlest smile she could muster. It wouldn't hurt to try to be friendly towards them. Suzuki Kanae was her teammate so it was a given but if she wanted to know more about others, then that was the best move she could do.

With introductions and greetings done, all that was left was to wait for the boat to start moving and take them somewhere. She wasn't quite sure where this boat ride would take them, a rare moment where she wasn't paying attention to anything concerning this event. Magic sure was wonderful though to make such a boat move without anyone rowing it. As the boat began to traverse through the water, Miharu felt the wind picking up a bit and the sight of cherry blossom petals caught her view, floating in the air and eventually finding their way down to the boat. On the roof, on the floor, on their seat and perhaps even on their heads. She had always admired the beauty of cherry blossoms and they do tend to pile up but not as much as this though. “You are right.” Miharu responded to Mio, dusting off any of the petals that might’ve landed on her. “Maybe the cherry blossom trees had just bloomed a lot more.” That was the only logical answer to that. There was also the wind and they happened to be in the path where it blew, carrying the cherry blossom petals with it. Whatever the case, there was nothing strange about it although seeing it piling up would cause worries to anyone.

Maybe there was something about it that was concerning but more on the fact that if it piled up some more, there wouldn't be enough space for them. She doubted it would be enough to add more weight to the boat. “Just a bit of cleaning should do the trick.” That was the only solution she could think of if the presence of this many petals would raise concerns and it wouldn't hurt to do something. “Hopefully, none of these petals had found their way into the food and the drinks.”

Cherry blossom flavored drink, anyone?

"If our manners are lacking, Leung de Almeida-san, do please educate us on how we may improve," Ginyami implored the sole young woman in their boat, smiling sweetly at her.

His attention was then caught, however, by Sara and the way he froze before his gaze lowered and his brows furrowed after he heard what Hiro had said to him. His frown quite clearly expressed something was wrong, but Ginyami did not feel comfortable enough to ask about it just then. Not when it seemed to be something between Sara and Hiro. Perhaps they still had a chance of fixing things without his intervention before the trip was over. In that case, Ginyami thought, it was probably best for him to leave that particular situation alone and allow Sara to try to handle it.

Instead, he tried to concentrate on the words and conversation that were meant specifically for him. "I think you talk to him just fine," he told Sara with an encouraging smile as they discussed the topic of Katsuro Souto. "Perhaps you just need to be slightly more assertive when speaking to him. He reminds me of when I was younger and I did not know how to express what was on my mind very well at the time. As you might recall," he added with a quiet chuckle, thinking about the time he had wanted to make friends with Sara and gone about it several wrong ways. "Give him time. I'm sure he'll come around."

He looked thoughtful at the question of the difference between wizard sushi and muggle or mumajin sushi. "Hmm...I'm not sure," Ginyami confessed, "but fresh fish is not safe for cats due to the high amount of mercury in fish, I believe. I don't know why the preparation for wizard sushi would be any different than mumajin sushi when it comes to mercury content since humans can deal with it just fine." He frowned as he continued. "Many species of raw fish also contain an enzyme called thiaminase that breaks down an essential vitamin for cats, so that's not good, either. Thank you for the tea, Sara."

It was then that Hiro returned to their boat and announced himself. Ginyami nodded in acknowledgement. "Okaeri Welcome back," he greeted in the traditional Japanese fashion as he picked up the cup of tea Sara had poured him to take a sip. But then he noticed Hiro seemed too distracted by Maria to speak properly to Sara even after Sara had done his best to speak earnestly to Hiro about wanting to be closer to him as a friend.

Ginyami's grip tightened on his cup as his smile tightened as well. It tightened so much that the corner of his mouth began to twitch. How could Hiro treat Sara in such a way?! Did he even deserve to be friends with Sara at all if he was going to ignore his heartfelt words so easily, brushing them off like they were nothing?!

No...no, he wouldn't interfere. He already told himself that. This was Sara's battle to fight, not his. It was none of his business. He sipped his tea, trying to calm down. Still, the way he watched Sara shrink where he sat caused Ginyami's blood to start to boil.

That was one thing that bothered Ginyami so much about Hiro - he was so frivolous. So shallow. No one and nothing seemed to matter to him beyond himself. He acted like he cared on the outside, sure, but he never seemed to stop to think about the impact his actions and words had on others. He was being so inconsiderate and selfish and he probably didn't even know it which was even worse than if he had been doing it on purpose.

Not wanting to open his mouth and say something he regretted, Ginyami looked upon the scenery surrounding the boat and finished off his tea, trying to keep his breaths controlled, deep, and slow. He took note of the other students, smiling and waving at a few he recognized such as @Miharu Goto, @Emi Sato, and @Katsuro Souto.
