On December 9th, 2013, Oriana Josephine Blackwood was born in Limerick, Ireland. Her two loving parents and her 7 year old brother welcomed her into a pureblooded, messy family. Magical blood never really mattered to them, but they used their status to help those in need. Growing up her brother exceeded all expectations and Oriana often found herself in his shadow, yet there was nowhere she'd rather be. She loves her brother more than anything and he is her best friend.
Oriana first discovered her powers when someone was bullying her friend Maria, who is a Squib, and a ball flew out of nowhere and hit the kid on the head. Maria and her family had always been close with Oriana's, but they got even closer after she defended Maria. While he wasn't her only friend, she was always the closest. Oriana is friendly, adventurous, and can be a little wild when she is in a comfortable space.
Oriana wants to be an Auror when she grows up, just like her brother! Her dream is to be partnered with him so they can work together. She loves sports, especially quiditch and hopes to make the Gryffindor team in a few years. The classes she is most excited for is Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions! Oriana can't wait for what her journey at hogwarts will bring!

Brought into this world by two loving parents, Orion and Josephine Blackwood, and her 7 year old brother, Rhys Lupin Blackwood, this pureblooded family was as messy as they come. The Blackwood's didn't believe blood decided where you sat in society and always did their best to serve their community. Oriana was raised to always helped those in need and to never judge someone by the quality of their blood.
Growing up, her brother exceeded all the expectations she had for her big brother. Being so much older than her, it was hard to have common interests and spend time together, but Rhys always had time for her. Oriana was only 4 when he went off to Hogwarts, but he sent her letters practically every day sharing his experience at school. When he was home over the holidays, he would teach her what he had been learning (within the limits of underaged magic, of course). Oriana loves her brother so much and dreams of following in his footsteps in her years at Hogwarts.
Oriana had friends, but her closest was Maria, a Squib. Their mothers went to Hogwarts together and stayed close friends after they graduated. They went to school together and shared everything with each other. Oriana had always been more adventurous than Maria and usually dragged her into her antics, but Maria didn't seem to mind. Climbing trees, sneaking into neighbor's gardens, and hiding outside after supper time, these two girls were inseparable.
Rhys taught Oriana how to play Quidditch and she instantly fell in love with it. She still remembers the first time she scored a goal against him, he probably let her, but that didn't take away any of the joy. She hopes to make the Quidditch team at Hogwarts. Reading and writing are also hobbies of hers. If being an Auror like her brother doesn't work out, an author is definitely a career option.
First Instance of Magic:
When she was seven, Oriana‘s parents took her and Maria to the playground. Now, Oriana knew of magic, her parents were wizards after all, but she didn’t quite understand that she too, had magic. While playing on the swings with Maria, a young pure-blood came up and started making fun of Maria for being a Squib. A rush of anger swept over Oriana and all of a sudden, all of the dodgeballs at the playground pelted the young boy. Her parents took them home and proceeded to tell her she had magic. All she understood is that one day she would go to Hogwarts! The same school Rhys goes to. This turned out to be the best day of our life, until she arrived at Hogwarts, of course.
