This was one of the moments Corra had been waiting for for so long. Ever since her mother and father told her about Hogwarts, ever since she waited for her Hogwarts letter to arrive, ever since she went shopping for school supplies, This is the moment Corra had to say goodbye to her parents to go to Hogwarts. Her parents have been with her since the beginning. From when she was often sick, to when her Hogwarts letter arrived, to now, they've been accompanying her to platform 9 ¾. Let's say this part is a small storm before the rainbow, a small price to pay to go to Hogwarts — Corra have to do it without being accompanied by her parents.
After hugging and wishing each other the best, Corra finally said goodbye and boarded the train that would take her to Hogwarts. There was still some time before the train departed, so Corra easily found an empty compartment and put her bag in. The train was nice, the seats were soft and it was dark red, one of her favorite colors. Looking out the window, Corra noticed some parents and siblings hugging and saying goodbye to the students who were going to Hogwarts, just like her. Some hugged and smiled, some come alone without company, others looked confused and worried — it must be a muggle dropping off their wizard kid for the first time. And among the people waving, Corra saw her father and mother looking around trying to peek inside. Corra smiled and opened the window, letting her head out. A few moments later, her mom spotted her. She smiled back and nudged Corra's dad to look at their little daughter who was about to leave them.
For a moment, the little family smiled at each other in silence, then Corra's father waved and invited Corra's mother back. They disappeared into the crowd. Corra sat back down and closed the window, took out one of the books she had bought a few days ago at Flourish and Blotts and began to read it. It's okay, she thought. They always drop me off and then leave right away.
The train will be leaving in a few moments.

Kiara had just boarded the train when she saw a half-empty compartment. It was the only one with just one person inside, compared to the others, which were all already full or too crowded... Everyone knew that Kiara loved silence, peace, and having as few people around as possible.
She entered that compartment and sat down across from this girl, who was reading a book... well, at least if by pure chance a conversation had struck up, they'd have something to talk about... Books, obviously.
The train left almost immediately.
Kiara had already stowed her bags in the little designated corner. As the train pulled away, she rested her head against the window, still thinking about everything that had happened to her from that moment onward... The letter, her Muggle parents' reactions, her doubts, their encouragement, and the final desire to try this adventure. Suddenly she sighed and her gaze fell again on the girl in front of her... she stared at her for a while before finally finding the courage to start the conversation herself.
"What book are you reading?" she asked in her usual cautious tone; she didn't like speaking too loudly.
"It seems interesting..." she finally observed, her gaze shifting first to the book and then to the girl, waiting for a response... and perhaps, with a bit of luck, start a new friendship... which would certainly be useful.

“What book are you reading?”
Corra almost jumped when she heard the voice of a girl her age coming from across her seat. She was so focused on reading her book and thinking about what might happen at Hogwarts that she didn't even notice someone coming in! “It seems interesting…”
Corra was stunned for a moment, not yet recovered from her shock. Ah, so someone had entered this compartment too. She picked up the bookmark next to her and placed it on the page she had just read. “A story book I bought yesterday. I sometimes need a break from reading school books,” She said with a friendly smile, trying not to scare the girl in front of her.
The train's speed increased and they were getting further away from the station. It was hard to believe that this afternoon they would arrive at Hogwarts, and that tonight they would sleep in their dorms. The moment Corra had been waiting for had finally arrived! Of course, Corra had heard the story from her older cousin who had already entered Hogwarts, but Corra wanted to feel it directly, wanted to see it with her own eyes. “I can't believe we're going to Hogwarts now, I've been looking forward to this moment for ages!” She exclaimed enthusiastically.
She placed her book next to her, before leaning forward and holding out her hand. “I'm Corra, by the way. Corra Henselwood,”

Kiara was almost stunned when the girl, Corra, introduced herself to her, extending her hand. For a moment she hesitated, looking at that outstretched hand as if it were something unexpected, almost unusual; in fact, she had never had anyone introduce themselves to her like that... but Kiara was happy, deep down, even if she didn't show it. She stared at that suspended hand for a couple of seconds before finally returning the squeeze, still a little surprised but not rude, and above all, trying not to shake too hard.
"I'm Kiara Jane Sterling, but you can also just call me Kiara, which is far simpler" she said with a slight smile, speaking in a more relaxed tone than a few moments before. Talking about herself had never come naturally to her, but Corra seemed to have a way of doing things that made Kiara feel more confident about opening up to her.
"You know, I often read too, just to take a break or just to disconnect from reality, but I much prefer romance or historical genres..." she continued, lowering her gaze for a moment, almost embarrassed.
But when Corra mentioned Hogwarts, Kiara stiffened slightly. The name gave her a strange feeling, a mix of curiosity and tension; she knew nothing about that world, especially since she came from a Muggle family.
"Do you know Hogwarts? How did they tell you about it? Are your parents wizards?..." she asked, this time with much more evident interest in her voice and less shyness.
