Watching a shimmering light launch from her aspen wand, Emma watched the charm hit the girl while avoiding the pathway of stray spells. As for herself, she had suffered from the spell more times than to her desire; twice, but it was far too many. Once in her first and second year, and who knew when the next assault would be coming. The spell was worse than tickle rodeo, where her family could pin each other to the ground like wild cattle during a roundup. Her decision was obvious. Getting tickled was far worse than being stabbed, a wound you could magically heal, but with magic, there was the worry of unleashing that sickening laugh and bearing with the consequences. She couldn't get hit, at least not with her own spell.
With every vocalized spell, her head jerked slightly in the direction, merely to get an idea of its general direction. Fits of hilarity continued to throw her off, but it was solely the work of a successful spell. Honestly, the eruptions were bringing a grin to her face. Although she couldn't see the smile, the sound of it upturned the corners of her mouth and she chuckled to herself, thankful she could control her laughter.
The brunette was sure to keep a close eye on Aurelia, planning her attack that would have to wait. There was a spell heading in her direction, just one that she managed to notice at the moment. Lowering her wand, she watched the spell fly from her former target's direction, hoping that her instincts took over and she evaded the attack.Action » Dodge

There were two ways to win. There were two balls available to be obtained, and while it seemed the easier way to walk away with the victory--easier than outlasting all thirteen or so other players--Thora had already eliminated that possibility. She was much too far away to be able to beat another (or several other) players to one, and too weak to even consider managing to steal it away. So, that left remaining standing her only option.
She was doing pretty well, nobody having even cast an eye her way. Perhaps this was the place to be, to remain at a safe distance from elimination yet close enough to everyone to spy possible threats. It was then that it hit her. A flash of light, which should've been easy for her to see due to the darkening skies, shot out of nowhere and hit the Slytherin. Taken by surprise, she stumbled a bit, only to feel something rising in her stomach and erupting out of her mouth.
Laughter. It wasn't inherently bad, but to have awkwardly loud giggles that she couldn't control, despite however much she clamped her mouth closed, as well as that tingly feeling all over, was horrible, to say the least. Thora, at least, hated it. She'd much rather take a Flipendo, because while it would hurt, it was a quick action, one that passed quickly. This, though, wasn't just painful. It was humiliating.
Eyes flashing, Thora glanced around, wondering who had hit her. But per usual, nobody was paying attention to the little brunette, choosing to launch their own attacks or run from others. Attempting to ignore the unnatural, artificial laughter that continued to escape her pursed lips, she scanned the area until a certain boy was located. The one she'd targeted earlier. He seemed much farther away now, dangerously close to both the border and one of the balls that promised victory.
While it wasn't her desire to deny him a win, a well-placed Flipendo could probably send him flying out of the marked-out area. In other words, Thora could possibly eliminate him. Even though the game had been dragging along for a while, nobody yet had been disqualified. Someone had to do it first, right?
"Flipendo."

Writing on a failed wisdom check due to Aurelia's and Ana's LC The small Gryffindor was determined to make this spell count, a knockback jinx intended for the ravenclaw, Emma Hill. The boy raised his wand and levelled at his target. Concentrate, the word running repeatedly through his mind. However, the lovely visage of the two gryffindor girls, Aurelia and Anastasia distracted him from completing the spell, his focus half-hearted. His wand producing no visible effect.

Ana would notice that the effect of her enemy's spell was wearing off, her tongue loosening allowing her to speak - or rather, swear. Driven by her emotions to avenge her fallen teammate who had taken the brunt of a spell that was meant to hit her, Anastasia fixed her eyes upon the initial aggressor, Astrea. The incantation leaving her lips before the spell shot forth from the tip of her wand. Blue light struck the Slytherin on the side, a satisfying crack reverberating through the grounds upon the impact. A small triumph, one that would be short-lived as if she glanced at her knight in shining armour, he would be sprawled on the grass a few feet away, battered and bruised from being knocked back like a measly ragdoll for target practice. Revenge was the only thing on her mind. The vibrance of the laugher contradicting to her bitter resentment towards the very person who was the cause of her hilarity. Fighting through the torture of tickles, Astrea would take aim, the incantation clear. However, the tickles were a hiderence to her accuracy and the Ravenclaw quidditch captain was too swift, therefore, the blue streak of light from her wand missed its target by a long shot. Astrea was not the only one with vengeance on her mind, a sharp pain would strike her side, the sheer force knocking every ounce of air from her lungs and sending the tiny girl flying backwards.

Pierre would not be returning to the safety of the first range, Aurelia make sure of that. Upon noticing the boy's intentions to advance back into the sector, the third year sent the knockback jinx hurling at him. With another loud crack adjacent to the same spell that hit her teammate, Pierre was thrown backwards forcefully. Landing in a further range than he had been moments ago. S

Bridget's intentions were to win. There were many others in the second range, but none making an attempt to grab the leather ball. Perhaps they had another strategy in mind. Nevertheless, Bridget seized her chance to obtain the ball. It was an easy feat given that no other player's had the same idea in mind. However, now with her arms were clutching on tightly the ball, she was a bigger target. She was in possession of a ticket to win.

The quidditch captain was keen to notice not one, but two wands pointed in her direction. She did the most reasonable and sensible thing to do: dodge. Both spells were unsuccessful at hitting their target. The Gryffindor spell simply failed while the lighting blue bolt of the Slytherin's spell shooting past her like a train. Despite her odds, the Ravenclaw beater was left unscathed. S

Frustrated at her spell casting, the Gryffindor chose to advance a route to obtain one of the two balls. It was more practical than spending her effort casting unsuccessful spells. Katrina was not targetted this round as she moved closer to the ball - the ball in Bridget Collin's arms.

Suffice to say, Aurelia had taken his breath away. The Ravenclaw was quick to recover and was up on his feet a span of a few seconds after he had been shot down. Having learnt from his mistake, Pericles was wary of his surrounding players and preparing to dodge if any spells were to come his way. Fortunately, this time, he would not be met with any jinxes of such. He would notice that his teammate had tried to defend him by casting a spell at the president of the club and failing. S

But like a man, the tiny boy stood, his eyes glowing in determination and perhaps recklessness. Pierre was not going down so easily. He broke into a run towards the center, but just a few steps were taken before he was hit again. Square in the chest and throwing him backwards, farther where he originally was. He saw stars. Back on the grass, struggling to breath with the pain and impact of the spell. Should he continue with the game, it would only put his life in danger.

Despite the blindfold still over his eyes, Rafael would attempt to grab the ball in front of him. A sense of triumph the gryffindor would feel as his fingers brushed along the smooth leather of the rugby ball. Soon the oddly shaped ball would be held in his arms. There were so many knockback jinx cast in the premise, there was no way the blinded boy would know which one was aimed at him without his sight. Once more, Rafael would be the victim of two simultaneously cast flipendos. With the strip of cloth across his eyes, all Rafael saw was a flash of blue light. The impact of the jinx was deafening like thunder and sent him soaring, knocking every ounce of air from his lungs. He would lose grasp of the ball as his body met the ground. The pain was overwhelming, but nothing the gryffindor quidditich captain could not handle but he would definitely be bruised for days on end. since you have been eliminated, you can now join the spectators S

River was aching. Aching to utilise the spells she learnt in class. Perhaps it was partially becasue the chaos happening around her was too fun too pass up. Of all people, the Ravenclaw had targetted the Gryffindor Quidditch player. For a Dhampir, the spell was surprisingly flawless and hit her target square in the chest and sending him soaring out of the ring.

The third year again failed to do anything in this round and was sure that he might just approaching this all wrong. But then he noticed something happening. A boy was not only hit by one but two of the Knockback Jinxes send into the kid's reaction and the third year knew him! Well more or less knew him, he was the one from the last game who had tried to protect someone and he did the same thing earlier too. It was kind of unfair to be attacking him since he could not even see.
"A-are you okay?!", he asked, raising his voice a little to make sure that the boy would be able to hear him over all the chaos around the game pitch. Without thinking about it he raised his wand and would draw a shield into the air, enunciating the words "Finite Incantatem!" A spell to reverse all spell effects, it would certainly reverse the blindfold effect, it had to work. Alan wanted it to work. He did not want the other kid to be slammed around by a spell while he was not even able to see anything. Alan walked until the edge of the first range, basically as close as he could move towards the other boy without having to leave his range. "Th-That looked p-painful...", the upper year muttered, worried about the other student he disregarded the game around him for a moment and prayed that no one would use this as the time to attack him.

@Aurelia Notrésvace
If there was one thing about the Italian race; it was that not only were they flamboyant, flighty, and known for their food and culture, but they could also take a beating. Great men and evil men alike stood among their race, the country had suffered not one, but two World Wars, their economy had failed splendidly, COVID-19 was wringing them dry, and yet, here they stood, strong, swaying on their feet, but poised and ready to overcome whatever else had the misfortune of being thrown their way. Heck, even Nintendo made not just one, but two of their most stalwart and staple characters belong to the Mediterranean race. Albeit, perhaps a little racism was included in the makings, but for the most part, it was the part of a hero and that of pure childish joy that a child first thought of when they heard the names "Mario" or "Luigi".
Being of an Italian descent, Piérre knew the origins of the name of "Luigi" rather well. True, it was a pun of the Japanese word "Ruigi", which meant "similar", but in Italian, the language the name was based upon, it meant "Famous Fighter", wheras "Mario" meant "Bitter". That was the middle name that a young 5 year old boy by the name of Piérre Marchonné had given to himself when the family had first moved out because of same said boy burning the house down due to an accident. That was the same name that had gotten the lad through bullies and schools and any and all sorts of confrontation. The ability of knowing that he was the Famous Fighter; that he was able to overcome anything that could come his way, and end up stronger than he had been before.
Just as the lad thought that he was in the clear, free to begin his little game of tag once again, Piérre found himself kicked again, this time in the chest by the same girl whom he had been afraid of this whole time. The leader of the club herself. This time, the boy could summon enough air into himself that he let out a high yelp, like that of a puppy when you accidentally step on them. Skidding to a stop now further away from when he started, Piérre let out a small sob as he rolled onto his stomach, coughing a bit and watching as a small dribble of red run on the grass. Oh boy, internal bleeding. As soon as this was over, he would have to make a beeline for the Hospital Wing. His breaths rattled in his chest as Piérre rubbed his mouth, smearing what remained of the red on his pale white hand. Fortunately, it was just little enough that any dhampire River Dewlight would be unable to truly enter a rage.
The lad was mere seconds away from both being knocked out, out cold and out of ring alike. However, there was just enough energy left in the kid for him to do one more thing. Whatever had happened to this twisted game, this... battlefield, or whatever it was... it had to stop.
Now.
And the only way to do it would be to take down the main threat.
The boy had few spells in his arsenal, and certainly not any that would deal significant harm to the towering third year. Even if Piérre had any spells of use, he was sure that he would be unable to even land a hit on the girl, because of the distractions of his own and that of the lovely faces which seemed to fill the boy's eyes in whatever direction he looked.
Well, if you couldn't handle the problem directly... the next best thing was to cause a distraction awesome enough to draw anyone's eye and allow another competitor to jump at the bait which was lain open because of said distraction.
A tiny laugh sneaking in the back of his throat, Piérre put one knee up, ignoring the slice in his chest as he felt the trophies of his stalwartness and pure determination. Coughing once, Piérre leapt to his feet, a random plan materializing in his head. It involved a lot of pain, will, and above all, Charisma. Lots and lots of Charisma.
Piérre was the fastest runner that he knew, able to outpace many young high school athletes and keep their pace for longer than a few miles at a time. This skill he had formed from running and making a smokebomb-esque escape from any antagonists that wanted to wish him ill. Up to this point, he had been unlucky; that was only because the girl who had targeted him was both more advanced and more powerful than him.
That did not mean that she did not have the same temperament or wisdom to know when she was being baited, however.
Digging his toes into the dirt, Piérre belted out his fastest sprint. This was his coup de grace. A special little Dragon Quest move of his own that he liked to call "Wailing Tornado".
Wailing Tornado- By encircling the enemy with lightning speed and letting out a mind-boggling cry, you enflame the enemy and confuse them, all while increasing your own agility!
A small blur of green eyes and brown hair would streak past Aurelia's vision, the boy that she had sent flying now dashing past her as if nothing had ever afflicted him. Daring green eyes would snap to hers and a cheeky grin would form as a light, almost mocking voice would call out; "Gonna take more than that to knock down an Italiano Italian! C'mon now bambina little girl, surely that wand is used for more than just a cowardly long range attack?! Tauro! TAURO! Bull, BULL!"
Breath catching, Piérre watched the older girl with wide eyes, prepared for any attempt to his person. His gaze was also focused on those around the girl. Perhaps he would end up with a little more than his help... With a final insult to injury, Piérre leapt into the air, ignoring the cracks of pain in his back and ribs, landing on his hands and walking on them like a twisted circus performer before backflipping and cartwheeling the other direction. Acrobatics that had been practiced in grassy meadows, in his own backyard, and on playgrounds. All self taught, and the result of many bumps, bruises, cuts, and chides from his guardians, new and old.
"TAURO! TAURO! BULL! BULL!"
Either Piérre had a deathwish, or he was simply outplaying the older girl...
Perhaps he was doing both. At the same time.

Katrina, moments after switching ranges, jerked her head back. A loud sickening snap notified her of a victim. Her eyes locked on Piérre‘s limp body on the slightly damp ground. She let out a breath of relief when he was quickly on his feet. The offender, Aurelia, stood quite defiantly several paces away from him. She must have cast the Knockback Jinx on him.
Katrina bit her lip in indecision, she badly wanted to win this game. The ball was in Bridget’s hands now, as much as she wanted to take it, the Gryffindor couldn’t find the guts to take the win from her only friend. Katrina made a silent promise to steal the quaffle if someone else stole it from Bridget. Instead, the determined second-year turned to face the largest threat in this game so far.
Piérre was doing something, but she couldn’t quite tell what. He seemed to be taunting and running around Aurelia? The purpose of this action was not apparent to Katrina and her confusion made her loose several seconds of focus. Overall, the scene caused more confusion than clarity. She waited for him to circle around her before raising her wand.
Let’s see if the leader of this club can get a taste of her own medicine. The lioness smirked before defiantly casting the Knockback Jinx, her wand perfectly traced the path in the air. It was time to turn to the offense. If she was going to go for the win, she needed to be ready to defend her only chance. This was just eliminating her worst target. This time, she would be victorious.

The fact that her wand hadn't even produce a spell, was mildly embarrassing. Good thing she wasn't focused enough to even register her failure. She squinted at her bird companion, he was clearly okay- he was up and running now, but she had no idea what he said. "What?" Her yellow hues, narrowed into two harvest moons, as she watched the lad zigzag through the field of play. She once again debated stepping into a range that was closer to the Ravenclaw. She shuffled towards his range, in an indecisive manner. Something stopped her though.
A boy who had grabbed the rugby ball in that range, got hit by a well aimed Flipendo, and went flying. Xailah stopped in her tracks, as soon as she saw that spell make contact with the Gryffindor boys chest. She stood there, mouth slightly agape, a expression of mild surprise on her face. "Pericles! Did you see that? That boy went flying! You better be careful or else you'll end up like him!" She warned, in a voice touched with slight wonder. The metamorph brought a gloved hand up to her brow, blocking what little rays of sun were still left, from her eyes; just so she could see where her Gryffindor peer would land.
A grimace would spread across the pale, unblemished face of the lioness; once she saw the boy make contact with the ground. No doubt that winded him. The oddly shaped ball, that the boy had gone to grab, would be thrown into her range. Grab it. Go for it. The primitive murmurs in her head, commanded her to go for the weirdly shaped, ball of leather. So thats exactly what she did. She ran over to the object with great haste, ready to fend off anyone that was going to try and take it from her.

Pericles' plan had been the sneaky sort. Rather than attempt returning to range two and risk being blown from the game altogether, he would take on an evasive stance, darting and dashing through the dire third range til they were close to timing out. Few would dare coming so close to the edge, he was certain; all that was left was to avoid being hit, then making a last-minute dodge for the prize.Mentioning @Rafael D'Spacito and @Piérre Marchonné

At least, it had played out nicely in his head.
Rafael, his primary third-range threat, was being blasted out of bounds. That would have been absolutely ideal had the boy not whisked away the ball with him. Pericles, who had been making a mad dash in that direction, skidded to a stop as the other Swagger was swept out. He watched with a growing grimace as the house-elf tossed the quaffle back in, and it sailed overhead, out of reach, out of range. Xailah's warning rang like a conscience on the outside of his mind. Pericles turned to search for her, frown fading for a sad sort of smile, and he hollered back "It's alright! Just- LOOK!" The second ball wasn't all that far from her now. He frantically pointed after it and, seeing his accomplice try to make a dash, began bolting back in her direction. But what were his chances of making it there, really...? Being third range made him an optimal target. If he was about to be out, he may as well go down swinging, right? And who better to target than the one whom had put him here in the first place? Piérre was already doing his damnedest to distract the dangerous coordinator. With the soulless lenses of his dark goggles fixed upon Aurelia, Pericles' aspen wand traced the precise shape of a droplet in the air, belting out: "Mucus ad Nauseam!"

Her fingers closed around the Quaffle and Bridget pulled it to her chest, holding on tight. Any minute now, there was sure to be a Flipendo knocking into her or something. Getting a ball couldn't be that easy. But... it was. For now, at least, Bridget had safely obtained her key to victory. The question was, how long could she keep it?
The Gryffindor Quidditch Captain had evidently been eliminated, blasted out of the game. That only reinforced in the second year's mind that ending up close to the edge was not an option. Getting Flipendoed was sure to hurt, for starters, and, well, she didn't want to be out. At least if she did she wouldn't have to take the embarrassing role of the first one gone.
What she would do next was clear. Bridget simply couldn't have eyes on everyone at the same time, couldn't predict what would come her way. But she did know she had a target on her back. It seemed the best course of action would be to do... nothing. To just stand where she was, on high alert for incoming threats. That way, she'd have the best chance of avoiding those attacks, right? If she already had what she needed to win, all she had to do was dodge.

The knockback jinx left Ana's wand perfectly, and it was almost in slow motion as it hit the older girl. Glancing behind her, she saw Rafael manage to snatch the rugby ball while blindfolded. That was rather impressive. However, she hardly had time to consider that particular topic before the poor boy was hit by two flipendos at once. That couldn't be fun, and she couldn't help wincing for her teammate. They had only just met, but she was already rather fond of him. Well, part of her team was eliminated and the other girl appeared to be frozen, which wasn't exactly good.
She turned to go for a third year Gryffindor that was in the first range, but stopped short when she saw him decide to attempt to remove Rafa's blindfold rather than trying to attack anyone. It wasn't the best tactical decision, but it was certainly the kindest decision. It certainly made her think much better of the older Gryffindor, and mentally resolve not to attack him unless it came down to the two of them. She gave the boy and Rafael a quick smile before switching gears. She hadn't heard what spell the boy had used, so she wasn't certain that it would actually work, but it was the thought that counted, right?
Scanning the field, she contemplated her next action. She had several options. Nobody seemed to be trying to attack her at the moment, which was nice. Aurelia was still in the first range, which was irritating because that meant it would likely take three or four good hits for her to be knocked out. Still, not having anything else that she had to do, and desperately wanting to hit the girl for the fun of it, Ana made her decision. "Flipendo!" she said firmly, flicking her wand toward the third year. Really, Ana had been rather gracious for not attacking Aurelia before this point, seeing as Aurelia had tongue-tied her right out of the gate.
