Dear Nail girl,

Nail polish isn’t really that important when it comes to looking good. You could try doing a new hairstyle or wearing great outfits. Just remember your nails aren’t all there is about you. There are many other ways of looking good. Try just having healthy nails. Cut them so they don’t get to long and wash them regularly. If you really need nail polish, you could try a different one. There can’t be just one colour that looks good on you. I’m sure you’ll find great colours that you never really thought about.

One thing I’ve noticed about boys is that they don’t really care about a girl’s nails. Their hair and face sure, but nails? That’s the last thing they think about. Most don’t even notice. So remember, you don’t need fancy nails to grab a boy's attention. Sometimes all it takes is a little bit of personality. Being nice to them or something they’ll remember. Try talking to them, or helping them with a spell or something.

So really, you don’t need to do anything to your nails, but if absolutely necessary, just get a different nail polish. Who knows? Maybe you’ll find a new favourite!

As we all know, it’s nearly summer!

The summer holidays are the perfect time to play games, go to parties, and have as much fun as possible! But, it is important to remember to keep drinking, and to eat. So, here are two recipes for you to try out this summer break!

Lemon‑Fizz Cauldron Cakes A bright, summery twist on the classic Hogwarts treat. recipe 100g butter 100g sugar 2 eggs 100g self‑raising flour Zest of 1 lemon Optional: a little yellow food colouring Topping: icing sugar + lemon juice + fizzing fairy dust (or, for non-magical students, popping candy works as a substitute) method Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, then fold in flour and lemon zest. Bake in cupcake cases at 180°C (in an oven) for 12–15 minutes. Mix icing sugar + lemon juice for a glaze. Add fairy dust only when serving, so it doesn’t melt. ---------------------- ---------------------

Red Summer “Potion” A colourful potion, that works as a summer drink. recipe 1 cup frozen moon-glow berries (or mixed berries, if you can’t find them!) ½ banana 150ml apple juice or water A spoonful of yoghurt or coconut milk Optional: honey method Blend berries, banana, and juice, and if you want, with honey. Pour into a glass. Add a spoon of yoghurt and gently swirl with a spoon. ---------- ---------- ----------
