_____________________§____________________It's genuinely baffling to Azrael how he even managed to get lost in the first place...
maybe it's because his leg is straight up being difficult right now!...Well, then again, he probably shouldn't have climbed that tree outside...but Ravenna was being stubborn and refusing to fly down from the tree she was perched on- it was already getting late and he couldn't just leave her outside.
He's usually a pretty decent climber, seeing as he used to climb trees around his house back when he was younger...but his sleeve got caught up on a branch and he lost balance while trying to untangle it.
So now here he is, limping while trying to find his way to the infirmary- he simply can't remember where he was told it was and he's walking WAY too slowly...he doesn't think his leg is broken, it's more or so his ankle ....maybe it's sprained? Either way, it hurts.
It's very easy to get lost at Hogwarts as a first year- especially when you've never actually been somewhere inside Hogwarts (and have just spent all your days attending classes and only wandering off to sneak into the forbidden forest ....which he shouldn't be doing at all, of course)...like Azrael hasn't- he's never been to the infirmary before, so this is definitely a first for him.
And by now, Azrael is done...he's been walking around for several minutes and STILL hasn't found the infirmary, so, he decides to do what he does best...
And just sit on the floor like an abandoned duck while trying to come up with a way to find the infirmary by himself.
As he looks down, he checks his ankle...it's very clearly hurt and slightly swollen, it's pretty obvious against his pale skin...and it's definitely sprained at the very least.
He doesn't usually cry (if at all), but he feels lost and the stinging sensation on his ankle just won't go away... So suddenly, he looks ready to combust into a puddle of tears...it's the most emotion he's shown since he's got here- but it's not that surprising...well, maybe from him it is- but he's just a kid still, can you really blame him?
He doesn't want to keep looking anymore, he has a feeling he's gonna have to go up a flight of stairs yet again and the pain flares up JUST from thinking about it, it's a bloody nightmare!
Maybe if he waits for long enough, someone will find and help him...or he'll just grow old sitting there, hopefully it's the first one.

Ezra walked, with a spring in his step and excitement in his chest to the Owlery to check whether he had received a reply from his parents.
To his disappointment, there was nothing for him so he decided to roam the halls a little bit. He had nothing to do that day and he wasn't particularly keen on visiting the common room just yet. He didn't know many people from his house so he didn't see the point of going.
He had explored many parts of the school by then, but still had some places he didn't know. He decided he was not going to explore today and just wander around the hallways which he was familiar of.
He turned a corner, humming a tune to himself and enjoying the beauty of the castle when he got jump-scared by somebody there. He let out a squeak of terror. He was a scrawny boy around his own height with freakily pale skin and dark hair. His eyes were a striking colour of light blue.
Now that Ezra really looked, his anxiety calming down, the boy looked sad. Ezra noticed him clutching his ankle. Oh no he's hurt! He thought, sympathetically.
"Hey there, do you need help?" He asked, smiling warmly at the kid even though he was causing goosebumps to rise on his arms. There was something strange about him, it creeped Ezra out.
He'd never met anyone like him before, one who radiates the cold. This of course, made him even more determined to befriend this kid. He was strange and Ezra liked strange. He made up his mind to get through to him and become his friend! He just had to make it through this encounter without saying anything ridiculous, which to him was a very hard task indeed.

________________________§_________________Azrael's tears unshed tears seemed to immediately dry up as someone called out to him...a pretty quick switch up on his end.
His big, unblinking, owl-like eyes slowly turned to look up at the boy in front of him...he was around his same height, maybe even his same age...he hasn't seen him before, but then again- Hogwarts IS big enough for people to not know everyone around...
Still, he's glad someone found him, it's a miracle with how empty the corridors were...he didn't seem all that surprised though, not at all- as if he had been expecting to just stay there all day (and he might of have if no one had thought to take a walk through the more quiet parts of the corridors...).

_______________________••__________________azrael said, voice monotone as always...his face is blank, a huge contrast to the droopy expression he had just a few seconds earlier.
He's sweating a bit, partly from the pain and also because he's sensitive to the heat...he HATES it, he prefers when the weather is cold...he sometimes wishes everything would just be cloudy and dark 24/7, it's his ideal type of weather...he doesn't understand the concept behind enjoying sunny days outside, why would anyone want to torture themselves like that? With the heat? The bugs? The sweating? No cold breeze? No shade? Just raw sunlight and clouds? It sounds like a nightmare straight out of the deepest pits of hell for Azrael.
But anyway...he huffed, shifting in place...
As he suddenly placed a hand on the floor, trying to hoist himself up (albeit quite clumsily because of his ankle) in order to follow the boy, just in case he'd tell him where the infirmary is...

Ezra sympathised. He still got lost in the haunting halls of Hogwarts frequently and knew what it was like. This kid seemed to be a first year too, Ezra was curious about which house he was in. He was no good at guessing, so he didn't. He figured he'd ask on the way to the hospital wing.
"My friend interns at the infirmary so I can show you the way if you'd like." He offered, smiling at the boy. "I'm Ezra by the way. First year, Hufflepuff" He studied the boys face. He had such a good pokerface, Ezra began to doubt if the boy was real.
He struggled to get up, Ezra noticed his ankle was swollen. He rushed to his side. He reached out to help him stand but then hesitated. His sister came to mind. She hated being touched or helped without warning. She often snapped when he did, so he'd become conscious of touching others without permission.
"Woah! Can I help support you? Your ankle looks nasty, I don't think it's wise you walk on it." He remarked. It was best this kid got an icepack as soon as possible. Then he remembered wizards could just heal their injuries. This shouldn't take too long. He thought. Not like he had any other plans. He reached out his hand to the boy, waiting for his reply.
