To Win a Favor
Robin came to the charms classroom right after he finished lunch. He just saw on the billboard this morning that the professor needed help "de-fluffing" the school, since she's allergic to pygmy puff fur. Robin decided to use this as an opportunity to show how considerate of a student he is, as it's never not beneficial to win a professor's favor. He went back to his room and invited Alexander to come along, he was the only person he knew who was in their room at the moment. They're both Ravenclaws, so there also won't be a conflict of interest when they're collecting house points.Date: April 4, 2026 | Time: 13:00
He and alexander agreed to meet at the charms classroom - where Professor Townsend would be most affected by the pygmy puff fluff - and now he's here. Robin made sure to bring his wand, as Scourgify could likely speed up the process by a lot.
Robin retied his ponytail, as some loose strands had sprouted after half a day roaming around the castle. He wore a grey button-up with a white tee inside, the pants are dark jeans. He usually wore his Hogwarts uniform on the weekends, sometimes minus the robes, but still he was often considered too serious by his peers who preferred casual clothing in their free time. He just felt more mentally comfortable in a uniform, because that way everyone wears the same thing, while casual clothes seem more vulnerable as they showcase your taste, personality, and even mood on that particular day. Today, however, since he was doing some cleaning, a darker shirt would be optimal. Robin would also want to prevent any possible damage to his uniform. Reparo could technically help with that, but he still wouldn't want to see his clothes damaged at all. It's a pride thing, probably.
After making sure everything's in order, Robin walked into the classroom and looked around for Alexander. In the meantime, he already could see a layer of pigmy puff fur on the floor of the classroom, some even on the desks and chairs. Robin frowned slightly. He didn't realize how big of a problem this had become. Now that it falls under his criteria of poor hygiene, the errand wasn't a matter of earning favors, money, or house points anymore. It's personal now.

To Win a Favor
Alexander had almost, almost really… not come.
He stood just outside the Charms classroom door for a solid few minute before actually stepping in, fingers lightly gripping the sleeve of his robe. He sighed. Even though this wasn’t a class yet, the thought of being anywhere that could suddenly fill with people still made his chest tighten.
But Robin had asked.
So he came because.. he he thought of robin as a friend maybe...
Slowly, he pushed the door open and stepped inside, immediately noticing the state of the room. He really regreted coming now did he interupt something? he probably did like usual.
His nose scrunched slightly. Ew
“…That’s… a lot,” he murmured under his breath, eyes scanning the fur scattered across the floor, drifting in small clumps along the desks and chairs.
For a second, he just stood there, taking it in.
Then he spotted Robin. He actually come? what was Alexander expecting honestly?
Alexander hesitated briefly very briefly this time before making his way over, steps quiet and careful like always.
“…Hi,” he said softly as he approached, adjusting his grip on his wand.
His dark pink contacts caught the light faintly as he glanced around again, then back at Robin.
“…You weren’t exaggerating.”
There was a small pause before he added, a little more uncertain
“…Are they… still here?”
His gaze flicked toward the corners of the room, half-expecting a swarm of pygmy puffs to suddenly appear.
He didn’t exactly hate creatures.
He just… preferred when they weren’t unpredictable.
After a moment, he seemed to settle slightly when nothing jumped out at him.
“…I brought my wand,” he said, holding it a bit closer, almost like reassurance to himself. “I think… Scourgify should work.”
A beat.
Then, quieter
“…I can start over there.”
He gestured toward a less crowded corner of the room, instinctively choosing somewhere a bit more… removed.
Not avoiding.
Just
Easier to manage.
Without waiting for much confirmation, Alexander moved carefully in that direction, crouching slightly as he pointed his wand at a small cluster of fluff.
There was a brief hesitation.
Then
“Scourgify.”
The fur vanished cleanly.
He blinked.
Looked at the now spotless patch of floor.
“…Oh,” he murmured softly, a hint of surprise slipping through.
Then, almost to himself
“…That’s… satisfying to say the least”
And just like that, he continued.

Robin heard the door creak open after a couple of minutes, and sure enough, it was his cleaning partner. Alexander seemed a bit reluctant, well, anybody would be if they were "invited" by someone only to hear that it's to clean their classroom, of all places.
"Hallo," Robin said in response to the hesitant boy's greeting. "I also didn't think it'd be this serious when I read the poster. I feel if it got to this point, the official cleaning staff are the ones to blame, why didn't the professor make a formal request or something?" It might not have worked that way, Robin wasn't sure how the school's regular cleaning actually functioned. It might've sounded like he was complaining, but there really isn't anything to complain about. Whether it's supposed to be the students' job or not, they're getting compensated for it. That's what he cares about.
"No, I haven't seen any pygmy puffs. I think these are just from pets coming and going, and it built up over time." Alexander had asked if the creatures were still here, but Robin reassured him that there was nothing to worry about, in his understanding, at least.
Seeing as Alexander had started from one side of the room, Robin quickly mimicked his actions. He went to an especially piled up corner and drew a smooth yet sinuous line resembling the letter "S", right when he opened his mouth to voice the incantation: "Scourgify!" Soapy foam was produced from his wand, and it started to absorb the fur and dust lying in Robin's immediate vicinity. The floor around him was thoroughly cleaned in a matter of seconds, extracting a satisfied sigh from his mouth.

@Alexander Zolotov btw since the wc is 600 per person, I'll probably end this thread with another shorter post on my end if you post 300w (or a bit less depending on how much you got already) and finalize your end of the story in your next reply

Alexander blinked and. He sighed.
His hand stilled mid-motion, wand hovering just above another small patch of fur as he watched Robin’s spell spread smooth, efficient, almost… aggressive in how quickly it swallowed everything in its path.
“…Oh.”
That was… different mostly the method anyway.
Alexander glanced down at the spot he had just cleaned. His version had been neat. Precise. One patch at a time. Controlled.
His eyes flicked between the clean streak Robin had made and the smaller, carefully cleared sections he’d done himself.
“…That’s really uhm” he hesitated, searching for the word then it hit him “…efficient. I guess".
There was a small pause.
Then, quieter, almost to himself
“…Messy. But efficient.”
Not bad. Just… not how he would’ve done it.
Alexander shifted slightly where he stood, adjusting his grip on his wand as he looked at the remaining fur around him. There was still a lot left. His method would take longer.
He hesitated.
Then, after a moment of internal debate
He drew a small breath.
“…Scourgify.”
He glanced briefly toward Robin, like he was checking if he’d done it right, before quickly looking back down again.
Alexander shifted again, moving a little further along his side of the room still keeping distance, still in his own space but now working slightly quicker than before.
“…I don’t think I’ve ever cleaned this much in my life,” he added under his breath, almost absentmindedly.
“…It’s… not terrible do you clean alot?”
Was that a dumb quistion? Alexander didn't really know but he did want to be more open so.

" . . . Oh."Alexander stopped his action, looking at Robin with doubt on his face. He seemed stunned, to say the least. Robin raised an eyebrow, did I cast the spell wrong? No, Robin was pretty confident in this particular charm, as it had come in handy many times before when he needed something clean. Robin's mum also used it in his mouth to discipline him when she caught him swearing with or without Noah. Anyways, he'd seen the spell in action his whole life, so he simply couldn't have gotten it wrong.
"That's really uhm . . . efficient." Alexander also seemed to mutter something else beneath his breath, but Robin couldn't make out what it was. He let out a sigh of relief that the problem wasn't him making a mistake, quite the opposite, he was just too good at it.
After some more time had passed and the quantity of pygmy puff fluff had decreased substantially, Alexander started a tiny conversation.
"I don't think I've ever cleaned this much in my life, it's . . . not terrible, do you clean a lot?"
"Depends on if there's anything for me to clean." Robin answered, "I'm generally pretty lazy, but if the filth or waste makes me uncomfortable, I will do something about it."
Time passed quicker than they realized. Some other students came in at some point and cleaned other sections of the room, presumably also with the rewards in mind. The classroom was thoroughly rid of those purple and pink fur, it was even less dustier than usual, having been swept with dozens of Scouring Charms from the eager students.
Robin came back to the classroom after washing his hands at the toilet, stretched his back, and announced his intent to leave. He waved Alexander goodbye, they'd see each other back in their room anyways. Now, he had somewhere else to go—the library. Of course.
