Dialect
Even and clear with a scottish drawl that brings a burr to his otherwise normal voice. Blake can be very animated when he talks, waving his arms around or fiddling with loose objects.
Blake had a slight lisp until the age of seven which still makes it embarrassing presence known when he is talking quickly or nervously. His voice rings at a high note due to his age but will eventually drop to a deep rumble like that of his father.

Rich balsam wood and the bitter tang of mint mixed with the smell of green leaves after a rainstorm
Blake smells of the trees that surround his family home and the herb gardens his mother tends in the back of the house. He smells of the outdoors and like growing things and rain.

Appearance
Lean. Boyish. Angular.
Blake is strapping lad of 5'0 with a lighter skin tone and the promise of strong, broad shoulders that for now draw his frame up giving him the appearance of being lean or thin. His face, still covered in the gentle sheath of baby-fat most children have, is covered in a splash of freckles across his nose, cheeks and forehead. His nose is slightly crooked, with a bump along the bridge from taking a football to the nose at a slightly younger age. His eyes are a strikingly rich blue color, becoming a tad green near the iris, and are framed by thick black lashes. Due to already being above-average in height, he is predicted be 6'0 or taller in time like his father and his father's family (all of whom clear 5'6). He shares a striking similarity to his father though he has his mother's freckled complexion.

Dependable. Reserved. Adventurous. Witty.
Blake is an outgoing and sociable lad who is more introverted and soft spoken. Never one to start a fight, Blake is an obedient and reserved youth with a preference for calm atmospheres. The lad's Achilles heel is, unfortunately, his never ending curiosity that lands him in hot water with his older family members. Despite his quiet or passive demeanor, Blake is a regular jester around his family home in Melrose, always ready with a witty comment or joke. Blake has a natural love for animals and nature, being a bit of an adventurer always on a quest or mission when the sun is shinning and then settled around a campfire in the evenings listening to stories. When the youngster hasn't been mobile for extended periods of time he becomes restless, always looking for a way to slip away for a walk.

The majority of the Bayne family are sorted into RavenClaw however Blake's grandmother Rebecca Bayne was a Slytherin. His aunt Grace was a Gryffindor as well during her Hogwarts years. A few of his cousins have been sorted into either Slytherin or Gryffindor with the majority being sorted into RavenClaw like him.

The family have deep roots in Scottland, originally in Aberdeen,Scottland before moving into the small town of Melrose in 1903.

Family Estate
A quaint stone manor house tucked into the rolling hills of the outskirts of Melrose. A stonewall fences off the grounds surrounding the house which are filled with Mrs. Bayne's gardens and a thicket of trees for the practicing of magic
the family manor was constructed when they first made the move to Melrose and has been passed down through the generations. It is a 2 story estate with a separate garage area connected to the courtyard. The brick of the house is dark grey and covered with a thick layer of ivy creeping up to the second story windows. Smoke can always be seen rising from the chimney

Finnion is a 38 year old worker for the Ministry of Magic. He is the youngest son of Edward and Rebecca Bayne and has lived in Melrose his entire life. Finnion attended Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardy in 2001 as a RavenClaw student. In his sixth year he met Emma Charles, a HufflePuff student, and the two became fast friends. They pursed a relationship after graduation and were married six years after. Finnion is a man of discipline and order and maintains family order. He is kind hearted and gentle man with a tendency to offer his support to thoes in need (something he claims he picked up from Emma and her HufflePuff nature). He has a particular soft spot for Blake who is the spitting image of his father. The two are very close despite his father's no-nonsense approach to parenting and Blake's inexhaustible love of wandering and adventure.

Emma is a 38 year old stay-at-home mum tasked with raising her 3 children. She is the oldest daughter of Lawrence and Clara Charles and had previously lived in Sussex, England for her childhood and teen years. Emma attended Hogwarts School of Witch Craft and Wizardry in 2001 and was sorted into HufflePuff like her father before her. In her sixth year she met a RavenClaw student named Finnion and the two became very close. They pursed a relationship after graduation and wed six years later. Emma is a soft spoken and joyful presence. She is soft and nurturing women who has a will of iron and will not be easily swayed once she has set her mind to something. She loves all her children fiercely but gravitates to her daughter Margaret since the two are from the same house and share similar personalities. Blake and his mother get on wonderfully regardless and he often keeps her company while she gardens.

Margaret Alisa Clara Bayne
Margaret, or "Maggie" as she is affectionately nicknamed, is a 14 year old Hogwarts student belonging to HufflePuff house. She began her studies in 2016 and is now currently a third year student. She excels in Herbology and struggles with Potions. By nature, Maggie is a selfless individual who shares her mother's iron will. She is generous but disciplined and has little tolerance for unfair treatment. She has three close friends in her year, a Ravenclaw girl named Anna, a Hufflepuff girl named Bethany and a HufflePuff boy named Tanner. Blake and his sister are close despite their age difference and Maggie's tendency to get tired of her brothers never-ending curiosity.

Laylen is an 8 year old wizard who is not yet old enough to attend Hogwarts. He is in year 4 of his muggle school studies in Melrose. Laylen is a loud and adventurous child, often following Blake around for adventure and as someone to ask questions to. He is a curios and bold young boy who stops at nothing to pursue the answers to his questions. He and his older brother are very similar except for Laylen's softer heart. He is a more sensitive lad and is intouch with his feelings much like his mother and sister. Laylen hopes he will be sorted into RavenClaw like his father and brother but his sister believes he will join her in HufflePuff once the time comes. Only time will tell.
