Wren was super excited.

Today was the first meeting of the Miraculous Muggle-born Mudbloods Club. She was both excited and nervous at the same time. On one hand, she was elated that she was going to meet new people, make new friends, and most of all build new relationships with people very similar to herself.

She was wearing a new blue and white sundress she had gotten over Christmas break. Her mom liked to buy things for different seasons before they came to be needed. It was strange but she was grateful.

Jack was going to be there soon after her, but she just wanted to get set up, put the pastries out, set up the banner that said, ‘Welcome members of the MMM Club’.
She was shaking as well. Being nervous made her legs shake and her stammer, but her confidence that this club would be something good in the lives of her fellow classmates would never waver. Currently, the only thing she was really worried about currently was the number of people that would show up.

Most people if and when they saw that the title of the club had the word ‘mudblood’ in it they automatically thought that the club was for something to the extent of making fun of muggle-borns or criticizing them or something like that. She and Jack were trying to take back the word. They were trying to make it that when someone heard that word, they wouldn’t automatically associate it with dirty blooded muggles, but would associate it just regularly with muggles.  That the word would not be an insult, but it would be a compliment. It was going to take time, yes, but they would get there she hoped.

She shook her head to clear her thoughts, straightened her sundress, sat down and waited for Jack and the rest to show up.

May had received a beautifully handwritten owl of the M.M.M club (Miraculous Muggle born Mudblood Club). The owl said that there was going to be a meeting, in the study room
May didn't need any encouragement. She knew that, she would teach more than learn, because she was, indeed a Muggle-born. She had lived her whole 11 year old life in Sussex, England in the Muggle world, with Muggle devices and everything Muggle made. But...she needed someone to teach her about the Wizarding World!

She runned to the study room, a notebook and pencil on her hand, and ready to go. She opened the door, and entered the. Study room. It was quite the same as always, but the entrance had a banner that said
Welcome members of the M.M.M club
in big letters. Pastries were everywhere, and she saw, a girl with a blue and white sundress at the end of the room. "Hello, I'm May, May Moonstar and I signed up for the M.M.M club quite a long time ago. Y-you send me an owl..." May didn't want to look shy, so, she tried to smile. The girl seemed nice. May wanted to ask her when the others were coming, but she retained it inside. Maybe it wouldn't be good mannered...

"So umm, I'm Muggle Born. I absolutely want to teach pure bloods about the muggle world..."

Adohiro, the pure blood Slytherin, who did grow up in the Muggle world had gotten an invite to the first ever meeting. He felt a bit strange and worried this club would be a success, he would make his way to where it was being held. He would see a huge sign announcing it and some delicious looking pastries. He would see two females around the place and he wondered if any males would be showing up. He really hated being one of the first and one of the last people in a meeting. Sure being punctual was polite, but he sure did not like having all eyes on him. He would let out a soft sigh and he would examine one of the pastries. He observed it, it was a red velvet cupcake with chocolate frosting. It looked really tasty to him but he would wait until they could eat the pastries since no one had arrived yet. He felt like it would be very rude to start eating right away when no one had come yet. Letting a soft sigh he would wait for the event to begin. He hoped there would be new faces to see but until then he needed to wait.

When I only have my eyes half-open?
Somebody let me know, tell me which way to go"

Kara was walking to the study room. She was going to the first meeting of the M.M.M club. She had decided to not wear her uniform like she usually did. She was instead wearing a sweatshirt she got from her father, and as always, her Half Heart necklace from her sister.

She had signed up for the M.M.M club about a month ago, and she was just informed of the first meeting. She heard of it from a few people, then she realized she was one of the first to join sign up for the club.

She entered the room and spotted a small table with a few pastries set on it. She decided to try and get to know the few people gathered. She took two cupcakes and then walked over to a girl with a nice sundress and a blue streak in her hair.

She sat down beside her and then started to talk to her.

"Hello, I'm Kara Capricorn! Nice to meet you! Want a cupcake?" She greeted the girl.

She wondered, was Kara even a muggleborn girl? She never knew her real parents, but her foster parents happened to both be magical, but Kara was most likely a half-blood, and since both her parents were magical, but both were not from pure blooded families, she considered herself part muggle.

"I like your dress!" She continued, "I didn't really dress up much, it's not my forte."

Jack was not quite sure Wren knew exactly what she was getting herself and him into by creating the club they had, but he thought it would be mildly amusing to attempt it just the same. Already, he'd had two teachers - Professor Vernatis, who taught Charms, and Professor Galim, who taught Muggle Studies, confront him about his liberal use of the term 'mudblood'.

Truthfully, however, it was the sort of controversy surrounding terms like that which had ultimately made the idea of the club attractive enough for Jack to decide to help Wren co-found it in the first place. The Slytherin had quite enjoyed his discussions with said professors, whether over owls or in person. Whether they had eventually come to think less or more of him for his arguments and reasoning, he wasn't sure, but that wasn't the source of his entertainment. No, what most amused him was that the teachers seemed to take more offense than the actual students did or even knew to.

Wren seemed to worry that the term 'mudblood' in the title of their club would cause people to think that its purpose was meant to mock muggle-born students. However, Jack was not concerned about that in the slightest. In fact, when referring to the club, he would simply shorten it to 'Mudblood Club' - partly because he found it interesting to gauge the reactions of others to his mention of it and partly because he liked the way the words rolled off the tip of his tongue. The quick succession of similar vowel sounds made it very pleasing to the ears, in his opinion, as well as fun to say.

Jack had actually been hopeful that the controversial name would draw more people to the club rather than keep them away, regardless of for what reasons. Even if they were just people who opposed the idea of such a club with a name they might have considered offensive, or even people just looking to pick a fight with some muggle-born student, the redhead figured it might have attracted more attention than that of those who simply wanted to join the club for its true purposes. Unfortunately for Jack's boredom, his hopes seemed to have been in vain.

As a co-founder, Wren had requested that the Slytherin be present for their first meeting and Jack had agreed, prepared to observe and take notes on their members, their questions, and how they interacted with one another. He doubted anything particularly interesting would happen during the course of their first meeting, but at the very least, it seemed worth checking out. Nevermind the face that he didn't really have a choice in the matter.

When he entered the study room, however, the Welsh boy found himself somewhat surprised and mildly impressed. Where the heck did Wren even get those pastries? Had she made them herself? No, certainly not; they weren't allowed to use the kitchen. Perhaps she had gotten them from the Great Hall at breakfast or something.

Whatever the case, the pastries alongside the welcoming banner made Jack start to feel a pang of guilt. The Gryffindor girl had obviously put a lot of time and trouble into their first meeting. He even noticed she appeared to be shaking; perhaps from nerves. It made him begin to regret having hoped for some conflict at all to begin with. He would have felt absolutely terrible if all her hard work and high expectations had been crushed by some bad-tempered opposers or ill-mannered bullies.

Then came May Moonstar. After Jack went to go sit along a wall to observe the others and take notes, he couldn't help but snicker softly behind his notebook after she had introduced himself. Maybe she just wanted to join a club called the M.M.M. club due to a peculiar affinity for words beginning with the letter 'M'. Who knew? Perhaps the initials of her full name matched the club name's acronym.

And then there was Kara Capricon, the girl who had slapped Opeila while she'd been having a vision. Was she...offering Wren her own pastries...? Something was definitely wrong with that one...

Rubbing his eyes wearily with a hand, Jack wondered how it had come to this. Before Selim had gotten stuck in robot mode, he would have thought that the pureblood's love of muggle sciences might have given him a reason to involve himself in the club and thus signed him up. These days, though...well, the Japanese first-year had pretty much reacted exactly as Jack had expected him to, brushing off the invitation to join them with the excuses that 'he was not a muggle' and 'he had training to do'.

As for Ruka...Jack couldn't ask him. Not when he was supposed to allow the Gryffindor the whole month of April as a chance to prove he could take care of himself. Perhaps another time, since the club itself was still far from anything Jack might have been ready to present to the second-year as something he was a part of.

Still, though, the Welsh boy thought Ruka could really benefit from joining. Not only would he have an opportunity to learn more about both the muggle world and the wizarding world, but he could do so without fear of being ridiculed or considered ignorant or stupid. With so many other students who were oblivious of one world or another, who could keep track of who would have been expected to know what?

It would be nice to bring him in the future. For now, however, boredom threatened to shatter his inner peace and spread its desire for chaos among the altogether-too-cheerful girls who had made their appearance so far. As a last resort, Jack had sent a few owls to some fellow Slytherin boys in an attempt to get them to attend the meeting so he would have someone worthwhile or competent enough to have an intriguing discussion with. The only problem was he wasn't sure if the recipients of said owls would be willing to show up. Jack couldn't blame them, either. He knew he wouldn't have if he'd been given a choice rather than an obligation.

May was really happy that most of them were there, for being the vice-president was pretty difficult. She had to be sure everyone was there, sending them owls to join the club and all. She was sad to see Adohiro leave, but at least they were four. Four were enough, of course.

She looked at one of the founders. She remembered his name was Jack Burnett. "Hello Co-founder! Burnett right?" May said, and let out a hand, for him to shake it. "I'm May, May Moonstar. Nice to meet you." she said politely. She didn't know that in the future, she would despite him.

"So, Wren. When should we start? I'm sure you all are Muggle borns. Oh, right. I just remembered that Miss Kapricorn signed up being a Pure-blood. Nevertheless, everyone's invited here. Hopefully, we will have more meetings, with more students." she said.

"W-wren, can we pick cupcakes?" May asked @Wren Caster, in a whisper. She wanted the meeting to be perfect, so that the Leaders would think that she was a good Vice President. "So, umm when should we start?" she said, clapping her hands together.

Hopefully, more people would come, of course. But she thought that four was a good start.
