Bex didn't actually know if she wanted to read any of Osamu Dazai's books, but she knew that it was better to leave her comfort zone sometimes. She sometimes read more adult books, but her parents wanted her to try and stay within her age group. Just so she could have an easier time talking to her peers, Bex guessed. 

Bex listened to Adohiro talk about her older brother, and wondered why he was living a sibiling instead of his parents. Then she thought that would be a rude question to ask someone when they just started talking to each other. She was a little weary of Adohiro saying that his brother would beat him over the head, but didn't want to voice that either. 

Bex thought the boy's question was a little weird, but she decided to answer him. 

Only once. I ran away from home when we first moved to Europe, and it took about twenty-eight hours for the police to find me. I got really lucky that the police found me, honestly. My parents were relieved but ummm we haven't been able to get along since. 

Bex looked away from Adohiro. It was still a hard subject for her to think about; she had ruined her family beyond repair by running away. 

"You ran away from home before, wow! I would not want to run away from home, I am fine with living with my brother. He is nice but just strict about grades and my behavior, but it did not affect me too much. I use to go to internet cafes instead of my after school studying and game the whole time! It was fun, those were the days!" He grinned. "There were these old temples and ancient shrines in my country that were supposedly spooky so we use to camp out there at night and look for ghosts. Have you ever done anything like that? Is there any haunted places in your home? Or creepy places in your country?" He would ask curiously. He did not know if she liked spooky creepy stuff like that or even camped out at spooky places. He was not a big fan but those were the good days of child hood innocence and not having many responsibilities compared to now. Now he had to be a skilled wizard and that was no fun since he knows had to study harder on subjects he didn't know much. He wondered if he would ever be be a good wizard.

Bex listened to Adohiro talk about living with his brother; her parents might have been nice, she barely talked to them enough to know. They cared about her grades, but not enough to discpline her when the grades dipped below average. She ran away because they moved to a different continent, so far away from her friends and favorite places to go. 

She listened to Adohiro talk about going to cafes and playing games the entire time, that would have been cool to do. Her parents were too afraid of people though to let her go off on her own while she lived with them. 

Then Adhiro talked about the spooky old haunted places that he camped out at; she enjoyed stuff like that, but her best friend back home didn't. 

That would have been so much fun to do, old shrines and temples are awesome! We didn't have anything like that back in the United States, but my best friend lived pretty close to a graveyard. When I would spend the night at her house, I would convince her to sneak out and look for ghosts there. We never saw one, but I did hide by tombstones a few times and grab her. Bex started chuckling at the memories of doing that, and then got sad as she realized that she would never be able to do it again. 

But I haven't found anything cool like that since moving to England. I want to visit some of the old runes in England and Scotland, though.

"There was no old shrines or temples in the United States of America, that seems a bit crazy and weird. I do not think the United States of America would not have any of those. What is there in America that is historical?" He wondered. Did it seem a bit odd to not have any of those sorts of historical buildings in any shape or fashion, maybe there were historical churches? It would be interesting to see those, too bad he barely remembered traveling in the United States Of America as a young child. He had visited New York in the past before but he was like six or seven years old, he didn't remember it clearly. It was not even a vacation, he had been dragged there because his brother had business travel and no one could babysit him at the time. He did see some of the histories of New York City. "What were the ruins like? I believe I have seen the photos like the ones in the Isles Of The Sky or like the common Stone Henge thing. I heard it is not that cool to see because it is so far away. But I could be wrong."

Bex slightly bristled at Adohiro's tone and question. How dare this boy insult her home! Then she made herself calm down, he probably wasn't insulting her home; it was a valid question.

Well, there might have been, but I never went to any. My parents enjoyed the Southwest because of the pictures carved into rocks a really long time ago. They never took me because we lived in the Northeast, and I told them I hated history. I actually like history, but they just focus on it way too much. 

Bex then thought about what else was historical in America. There's also these really old churches that are pretty, but I wouldn't call them temples. America is a fairly young country so there isn't much historical architecture.

Bex listened to Adohiro's other question, and cringed a bit. He had misheard her again, but at least this time wasn't as bad as the first time. She had actually been to a rune outside of Dublin when they first moved to Europe. 

I've only been to one, but I want to see all of them. The one I went to was around Dublin, but I don't know it's name. It was awesome! I swear I heard a lady singing, but my parents didn't hear anything. It was hauntingly beautiful. 

Bex had heard that phrase of tv before and thought it fit here nicely. Have you ever heard or seen a ghost? Bex asked excitedly. 

"I do can not think of any thing scary that happened in the past. When I went on a trip to Japan with some of my elementary school friends, we visited the Aokigahara Forest, it is also called the Sea Of Trees or the suicide forest. It was a really creepy forest and had a bunch of vines and stuff and old campsites that were abandoned by people. We camped there and we kept hearing creepy animal noises. I was like 9 years old, it was last year." He told her smiling and he would sit and relax. "And we saw some old ruins of like temples and a few cool campsites! Even creepy animal bones." He would tell her. "Do you have any other hobbies? Like any muggle hobbies? I liked to go to the internet cafes and play online video games and MMOG games with some friends. We always got kicked out when it got too late since there's a curfew in our country on how long under aged people can play video games. It was so annoying, I even tried to use my brother's identfication card which didn't work very well and I was caught." He giggled softly.

I've heard of the Aokigahara Forest, but we only ever called it the "suicide forest". Thanks for telling me the actual name, I'll make sure to refer to it by it's true name from now on. I bet it would be super creepy, but that's super cool! I used to write scary stories about it and read it to my best friend back in the States. 

Bex remembered how her friend would be so captivated by her stories, and always kinda wanted to be a story-teller. She knew that story-tellers weren't usually just someone with no cultural stories to pass down, though. Then she thought about what hobbies she might have, and was drawing a blank. She didn't draw, collect comic books, or cook like most of the people her age did. 

That's awesome; I wish I was brave enough to use my Mom's ID for something! I didn't know your country could enforce a curfew for playing video games, I thought only parents could do that. I like to write short stories, and then record my voice reading them. It's kind of weird. I always wanted to be a story-teller, but I don't think I can. So now I'm trying to be a voice-narrator. 

"I think you could be a story teller." He smiled at her. "Any one can be anything they want if they try hard enough. In my country, to boost morale we say "fighting!" He smiled at her wondering what else he could say to her. He was not very good person at keeping a conversation and he would let out a soft sigh. 
"Who is your favorite storyteller? Do you have any or do you have too many favorites?" He would ask her. The courtyard was very pretty today and he would look around it quietly. The sun shone through the sky less cloud and there was no hint of a nearing thunder storm, it was beautiful. It would have been nice to see a rainbow on such a pretty and cloud less sky which e happily gazed at. He saw a white cloud that looked like a bunny rabbit and he would point to it. "Look! There is a cloud! It looks like a bunny rabbit! I use to have a bunny rabbit! Too bad I had to leave it at my home, but it is being taken care of by my brother and ia few staff at home."

Bex blinked at Adohiro, honestly this was the longest time anyone had talked to her since she moved from the United States, so this boy being nice to her was making Bex super happy. She knew the boy was probably waiting for her to leave him alone so he could do other things, but she was hesitant to stop the conversation. 

Thanks! That's a really cool tradition from your homeland. My favorite storyteller would have to Herodotus, the Ancient Greek guy who wrote The Histories. I like reading his take on how the world came to be, because it's so much different than what most of the people in the United States believe. The Native Americans have a cool story for "The Beginning" though. I like loads of storytellers though, every year one came to our school and told us stories from their cultural. It was my favorite day. 

Bex listened to Adohiro talk about the clouds and his bunny back home. She smiled at his reaction to the cloud. That's super cool! I always thought bunnies were an awesome animal, and adorable. I had a snake back home, but my parents didn't know about her. I had to give her to the pet shop before I came here. What's the name of your bunny?

"My bunny's name is Wei Wuxian," Adohiro told her and he would think of his bunny he missed. "He was all white but he had some orange spots in a weird pattern. My brother gifted it to me for my birthday  and my brother has a grey white bunny named Lan Zhan. He has white spots on him though and I got it for him when it was his birthday. So are our bunnies are kind of like siblings." He told her glancing at her. "What was your snake's name and what other pets do you have? My brother had two Shibu Inu dogs named Fang and Yuki. They weren't my dogs, but they were friendly and okay. I had a pet cat too named Luna, but I left her behind. I didn't want to worry about taking care of a pet." He would tell her wondering how many animals she had. "How many animals have you had? My brother and his clan had a lot of animals. I have five pets in my home right now. I would not mind another puppy for myself, but my brother does not want to worry about training them. It's a pain to train them."
