Notes on Tenderness

Ethereal music hummed throughout the lavish rehearsal room, immersing the space with a serene yet vivacious ambiance. Though, closely, there seems to be an individual flustered and on edge. It was a complex emotion that Seul had never experienced before. Comforted, embarrassed, composed yet unnerved? Certainly those last two emotions are impossible to have together, but somehow Seul managed to make it happen. She lightly tucked a strand of her silky locks behind her ear only for it to come undone again, in a similar fashion to her current situation. She had every intention to leave, but now her efforts were fruitless against her will. Whatever the case was, the girl felt an inner urge to continue as the mysterious boy guided her to a nearby table. She held on to the fringes of her dress as she settled on the plump and velvet cushion.
“What kind of tea do you want?”
The boy offered with an appeal in his smile. Tea, yes tea. That was what she came here for, to simply try some tea in a familiar environment. Instead what she received was more than what the poor little girl could manage. She adjusted her posture so that her semblance reflected her status. She was still from an elite family, therefore there is a responsibility to maintain a dignified poise. Seul pondered on which tea she should request. Her personal favorite was Chrysanthemum. It had an irresistible taste that the girl could simply not resist; the raw and organic taste of flowers. Today, however, she was in the mood for Earl Grey or perhaps Chamomile. Earl Grey has a mild citrusy flavor making it perfect to pair with scones, while Chamomile, on the other hand, is more bitter, but is known to calm the soul. It was a tough decision, but Seul ultimately decided on caffeine-free option, Chamomile. “I’d like Chamomile please,” the girl politely responded.
