Moderating a match tickled Demitra's fantasy, and she desperately attempted to seek out several first years in hope to fulfill this dream of hers. Eventually she was successful, and the two opponents playing against each other were named Sadie Fox, a Gryffindor girl and Harumi, a Hufflepuff.
She stood confidently, dressed in her usual school robes, wand tightly in hand in case of an accident (hopefully there would be no need for it, as Demitra highly doubted her skills of any mending charms, as she spent most of her lessons doodling in notebooks or staring aimlessly out of windows). Her thick, curly black hair was in a half up, half down hairstyle, after battling with it the whole morning.
Her mind wandered, yet again, to her grandmother back at home. Flashbacks of the letter she received upon being sorted into Hufflepuff.... she shuddered. Perhaps getting involved in dueling would soften her grandmother's rage? Maybe if she tried hard enough to get good grades, it would somewhat restore their fragile relationship? She forced herself out of the thoughts.
The first duel she was going to moderate was about to begin, and she positioned herself in the middle, eyeing both opponents wearily.
"Be respectful. Get your wands ready. 3, 2, 1... GO!".

Dueling was the only sport Harumi actually expected to like when she first came here, to Hogwarts, obviously that couldn't be further from the truth now, because she enjoyed the previous unofficial Quidditch as well as the hockey in Koldovstoretz very much, still, she wanted to try dueling too, just to know which sport she liked most.
-----That's why when the other first year girl, Demitra, wanted to moderate a duel, Harumi volunteered to be one of the duelists, it was an opportunity she didn't plan to miss. The opposing duelist was Sadie, a Gryffindor first year girl. Thankfully in the same year as Harumi, the Hufflepuff was fed up with having the opposing team be stronger and more experienced, especially after that time in Koldovstoretz, the hockey match they lost, at least here it seems more even, though this time she's alone without a more experienced teammate to guide her.
----But it's not like the other girl had a guide either, and Harumi is used to learning on her own, she can make this work. She takes an attacking stance, and bows to her opponent, that's how it's done right? You need to respect each other. Harumi has a feeling this is a tradition that was lost to time but she did it anyways, if anyone asked, she'll say she just wanted to feel the same as her ancestors, but nobody is going to ask, she convinced herself.
