Dakota is a radiant young girl, immediately warm and approachable; she smiles and laughs freely. Her long golden hair cascades down her back, and her deep blue eyes sparkle with a zest for life and a hint of mischief. She is tall and slender, her figure shaped by her various intensive sports activities. Her high cheekbones can give her a slightly haughty air when she is not smiling. Her voice is soft, warm, and confident, and her gait is assured and lively.

The least one can say about Dakota is that she is full of life—always on the move, highly spontaneous, often speaking before thinking. She gets excited by the smallest things, yet can lose interest just as quickly, except when it comes to her passions, particularly Quidditch and surfing. She is honest and can sometimes come across as a little blunt or lacking in tact. She is deeply loyal and places great value on her family and loved ones. She is also determined and strong-willed—some might even call her stubborn—and she never abandons a project that matters to her. She always looks on the bright side and brings a great deal of positivity to those around her. At the same time, she is impulsive and can become angry quite easily.

Dakota comes from an aristocratic pure-blood family and has never wanted for anything. The grand family manor is nestled in the heart of the forest, not far from the shores of the Celtic Sea. She made the most of having access to their private beach throughout her childhood, and she loves swimming and surfing. Her parents were not often present, always busy with work, yet they were loving and attentive to the well-being of their seven children. Dakota, in fact, is only the fifth to be born in the sprawling family estate, after her four older brothers. As the only girl among her siblings, she has adapted remarkably well and knows how to command respect, her strong-willed nature undoubtedly helping.

Dakota experienced her first display of magic at the age of seven. It was Christmas Eve, and everything promised to be a day to remember. Their home glittered with a thousand lights, and Frances, their housekeeper and governess, was overwhelmed with activity. The little blonde girl had spent the morning playing Quidditch with her brothers in the vast garden, but when they returned for the meal, their father, Jayden, awaited them, his expression grave. He told them that their mother, Freya, had gone to rest at her sister’s and would not be spending Christmas with them. Dakota clenched her small fists, tears welling in her eyes. Suddenly, the flames of the candles scattered throughout the house flared up wildly, growing taller and taller until they set the curtains alight. With masterful ease, Jayden, extinguished the budding fires, then approached Dakota, who had collapsed to the floor, and gathered her into his arms.
