Emotionally Shattered pv Olivia Williams

Olivia was walking through the empty corridors, it wasn't surprising that they were empty since it was very early in the morning. She was heading towards the library to be exact. Since she had caught up on all her homework for once, she thought she would treat herself to some reading. She wandered around the shelves in the library and picked up a few books here and there. Most of them about magical creatures of course. She was surprised that she hadn't read all the books in the library yet.

When she finally had a fairly high stack of books, she took a table and started reading. Her brain was on vacation when she read. She leaned back in her chair with her legs crossed and adjusted her knitted sweater. But in the middle of reading, she was disturbed by the sound of the librarian yelling at some students.

Olivia sighed, knowing that her peace had been blown away. She put her books back down and began to make her way back towards Gryffindor Tower. The corridors were no longer empty, but now filled with people. She took a shortcut and found herself in an empty corridor after all. Or not completely empty. Was there a sound… sobbing?

A classroom door was ajar a little further away and Olivia walked towards it. She opened it ajar and at first thought it was empty. Then she saw a silhouette in a corner… a familiar silhouette.

Olivia cautiously stepped closer and crouched in front of the person. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to disturb you. Is it okay if I sit down?” she asked cautiously, trying to see who it was.

Nick heard footsteps outside on the corridor some footsteps the footsteps stopped then continued constantly coming closer and closer to the door Nick hoped the they who ever they were wouldn’t come in but his hopes where taken away when he heard the door being opened and he heard familiar footsteps walking round the room they eventually stopped and crouched down in front of him he hid his face. He then recognised the person as someone called Olivia Williams a 2nd year Gryffindor girl who he had met in the library and had discussed thestral abuse with she apologised for coming in and then asked him if she could sit down after a few seconds barely lifting his head he shakily nodded trying to hide his face after a few minutes Nick took of his glasses and wiped them as they were getting cloudy from his tears he slowly fell down onto his knees and put his head in his hand sobbing no longer trying to hide as he was to tired and sad to try to hide his sorrow. After a few minutes he scalded himself in his head.

He started to sob even more and scratch his head as he started to think about Edward.

Olivia recognized who it was the second he nodded. She hurried to sit down next to him and hesitated before putting a cautious arm around him. “Nick? What happened?” she asked in a careful whisper. “Do you want to talk about it? It usually gets easier then.”

She reached for her bag and pulled out a handkerchief, which she handed him. Whatever was weighing on Nick, it was serious. That much she could see. Olivia tried to think of a situation when she herself had cried like that. She couldn’t think of anything at that moment.

But this wasn’t about her, it was about Nick. She was trying to think of something that could make him feel better. Of course. She pulled out her bag again and rummaged through it until she found a slightly half-smashed chocolate bar, which she handed over to Nick. “Chocolate, it always makes me feel better,” Olivia said, trying to smile at him.

She wanted to understand what had happened and what was weighing him down. She hated seeing people this way and suspected Nick hated being seen that way just as much. “I’m here and I’m listening.”
