It was April 11th and only a week away from the secret Blossom Ball that Sean had been dragged into helping organize by his best friend Aaron with a few other students. He wasn't against the idea at all and he didn't really have an issue breaking the rules if it felt like the right thing to do. Dances weren't really his thing but he could see how much it meant to the other students when the original ball had been canceled. So when Aaron asked him if he could help out, he didn't see a reason to decline. It was a bright spring day today with just a little cold breeze, Sean was given a task to do - He had to invite Willow Anderson, the first year Hufflepuff that also happened to be the keeper for the Quidditch team.

He knew it was important for him to make a good impression because she could pass the word to all the other Quidditch players. But Sean was never an outgoing and socially confident guy so he was a bit nervous about this task, but everybody else had their part and were working hard to make this event a success - He had to do his part. He was looking around the castle for the girl and when arriving to the courtyard he found her. She seemed to be drawing something, he looked at her from a far before making his way over to her. They had never really met, Sean knew of her from watching a few Quidditch matches but they had never actually talked which made him even more nervous. He stopped in front of her "Hi, Willow?" He was looking at her thinking how weird it must be to have a strange boy that you didn't know walk up to you. Sean didn't have the friendliest demeanor either with his emotionless expression and cold way of speaking. "I'm Sean Hearth, we are in the same house. I-I was wondering if we could talk ?" He tried his best to smile at her to seem a bit less awkward but it probably just made things worse.

Willow had taken up her usual spot in the Courtyard. Every nice day was a gift to her and she had been spending more time than usual, which was already a lot, every since the common room of Hufflepuff was set ablaze. Being indoors suddenly made her feel panicky and she was constantly looking for an exit strategy. Being outdoors helped calm those anxieties, she felt more safe within the grasp of the afternoon breeze than indoors within the reinforced castle walls. It would take a long time to recover from what happened. Lately her art had taken a deep dive towards fires. As if she could draw the fear out of her, by making it beautiful it wouldn't be as terrifying but it wasn't a coping strategy that was working well.

A deep sigh emerged from her lips as she laid her head back against the tree she was sitting in front of. A boy had approached her that she felt she had seen before, but couldn't quite place him. At this point in the semester she had met so many people once or twice it was hard to remember some faces. As he spoke and introduced himself she slowly stood up so they were on the same level. His introduction was only slightly ominous with a dreaded 'Can we talk?.' She tried to stay calm, there was really no other reason to freak out yet. She extended a hand for a proper introduction. "You have indeed found the right tree. It's nice to meet you Sean. Is everything ok?" There was a small flash of concern in her eyes that she couldn't hide fully, but she hoped Sean wouldn't notice.

Sean shook Willow's hand "It's nice to meet you too", she didn't seem bothered by him coming up to her that much but he couldn't help but notice the look in her eyes. Was she afraid ? Or was it something else ? He knew he looked a bit mean but he had never really scared anyone before so he assumed it was something else. "So I'm pretty sure that you've heard that the ball has been canceled" there was no way she didn't unless she wasn't listening during the announcement but even then most of the school was talking about it. "A group of students including me are organizing a secret Blossom Ball for all the students and I was wondering if you would be interested in attending and passing the word to your fellow teammates ?" He was nervous about the answer she would give but he thought he handled that pretty well. He smiled at her, hopefully this news would brighten up whatever is bothering her - Sean is an observant person, he spent most of his life not interacting but just watching other people so he can pick up on things a bit easier. Something was definitely on her mind but it wasn't his place to ask.

Relief quickly filled her body as she realized this was all about the ball. Since he was also from Hufflepuff the options the talk could've been about were limitless with everything that had been going on. The relief on her face would be obvious, and quickly replaced with a curiosity as well. A secret ball? While it's not something that she would probably do herself it wasn't an opportunity to pass up. She also felt honored that she was given the task of distributing the information to the Quidditch team at that, especially with all the other players that could be given the task. It wouldn't be something she took lightly.

"I'll gladly take that task up! I'm excited to see what you guys have planned. Honestly when you asked if we could talk I was worried that it could've been about... something else." She let the silence hang between them for a moment. "I think this will be a great time to let off some steam. I'm already excited to attend. When and where is it being held? And what's the dress code? Like ballgowns or just cute dresses? I've never been to one of these before, it's really exciting. I'm sorry for all the questions!" She had never been to a dance, her school had them but she never wanted to attend and never told her parents about them either.

Hogwarts really was a school of new opportunity for her.

Willow seemed relief once Sean had finished explaining what he had to say but didn't think much of it. Whatever she was thinking or thought he was about to say wasn't really any of his business even if he was curious to know, it wasn't what he was here for. He listened carefully to her questions, what did she not want to talk about ? His mind went straight to the incident in the common room, if there was a subject any Hufflepuff would want to avoid that would be it. Sean's memory of the incident was a bit blurred, he had fell threw the ground and had gotten knocked out, he felt the back of his head thinking about it. He looked at Willow, he was concerned for his fellow Hufflepuff - who knows how the incident effected her or everybody else for that matter. He felt even more sure that the ball was a good idea and had to be a success "I'm glad you, so the ball will take place in the Quidditch pitch on the 18th of April after dinner. Everyone is to come in normal clothes and then change into their outfits once they arrive at the pitch. As for the outfits, I'm sure any kind of dress would do but just keep in mind that it's a ball and you'll most likely be dancing" He smiled at her thinking it was ironic that he was reminding her that she would be dancing when he on the other hand had no intention of dancing at all. A ball in Sean's mind consisted in having a dance partner, dancing together and with friends, all those things were daunting to him and yes he had made progress with his social skills but not that much progress so he would most likely be making sure everyone is having a good time.

Oh God and Goddess... dancing. She wasn't a bad dancer per say, but she wasn't exactly talented at it either. She just kind of let her body move and she was worried that she'd make a fool of herself, but of course there was dancing at a ball! Would she have to dance with a boy? Were slow dances a thing at this age? Suddenly she felt very ill prepared for the whole ball, maybe she'd ask Flash what to do. He had to know about that stuff right?

She had plenty of time to panic. For now she had an incredibly important job to do. Willow leaned down to grab her journal and flipped open to the last page to write down what she thought was important. There wasn't a ton of information, but she wanted to make sure. After she finished writing, she gave Sean a thumbs up for confirmation. "You can count on me Sean! I'll make sure to spread the word at our next practice. I'm sure everyone on the team will be massively excited to attend. I'm glad that you all are entrusting me to this, I won't let you down!" A bright beaming smile lit up her face, looking forward to an event of celebration and laughter with her friends.
