Miraculous Muggle-born Mudbloods Club
Hello and welcome to the Miraculous Muggle-born Mudbloods Club; also known as the M.M.M. or the Triple ‘M’ Club! We are happy to include muggle-born students as our members, but also anyone simply interested in muggles and the muggle world.
You do not have to be related to a muggle to join this club!
Purebloods are welcome, too!
Who We Are and What We Do
Here at the Triple M Club, we are happy to assist muggle-born and half-blood students looking to learn more about the wizarding world. We are also happy to lend a hand to those of the wizarding world who are not so familiar with muggle ways. Got a question about Muggle Studies? There’s bound to be someone here to help you out.
Overall, the Triple M Club is about bridging the gap of knowledge between the muggle and wizarding world for interested students of all kinds. We hope as a member of the Triple M Club, you’ll be as ready to teach others as you are ready to learn, because chances are that you’ll end up doing both.

I have been designated the task of going through the most recent club listings for the school year and came across your...interestingly titled club. It seems to me that you and Miss Caster plan to use this title, but I write to you to inform you that the usage of the term "Mudblood" is a wholly offensive term and you need to rethink the name of your club. If you cannot think of a new, more appropriate, name for your club, I will be forced to disband your club or take it upon myself to rename it for you. Probably some ridiculous name dealing with baby sharks. Do meet up with your partner and come up with a new name for your club or I will.

While I fully appreciate your having taken the time and trouble to look over and address the name of our club, I must respectfully disagree in regards to the word 'mudblood' being an offensive term. First of all, the people to whom the term applies (such as myself) can hardly be expected to understand the context and connotations associated with said term unless someone chooses to properly educate us on the matter.
How many people intending to insult us would waste the valuable resources of their time and energy to explain such a thing simply for the sake of offending us? As the majority of people who actually recognize the term will probably not be described by it, I fail to see how 'mudblood' can be considered all that offensive in the first place. Perhaps that was the intention with its creation and use, but even the term itself seems to lack the hostility required to take offense. In other words, it sounds about as insulting as a made-up word a toddler decided to fling at me in an obvious attempt to rile me up.
In all honesty, professor, 'baby sharks' may be considered a more offensive name than 'mudblood' to the majority of our members. At least that term is something muggle-born students are more familiar with; enough to know that they wouldn't want to be associated with it. 'Mudblood', however, simply seems like a shorter and more convenient synonym for 'muggle-born' to me.
By making the term more common in its use, particularly by those who are meant to be offended by it, I had hoped to annul the use of the term as an insult completely. After all, if our club is able to familiarize muggle-born students with it before they hear it from anyone who speaks it as a slur, the chances are very good that the term will lose its power as a negative word altogether.
Having said that, Professor Vernatis, I can't imagine for what reason you might want to change our club's name other than to, perhaps, perpetuate the use of the word as a derogatory term. As you are one of my favorite and most highly revered teachers, however, I am certain that cannot be the case.
If you have any other questions, comments, or concerns, preferably supported by specifics and details, I will be happy to address them as they come up.

Hey, I'd like to join if possible!
Opeila is a halfblood, but her muggle father always made sure to keep everything, that involved magic, away from his daughter, so she barely knows anything about the magical world. So I guess she'd be there to learn.

I'd like to join this club!
Although she never knew her real parents and both her foster parents are both magical, she does know now that her mum was a muggle and her father was a wizard. She doesn't know much about the magical world and wants to learn more, although she was given a brief run-through by her foster parents after she got her letter of acceptance to Hogwarts. Although she is only slightly informed about the magical world, she knows a lot about the muggle world and you could say she's an expert with muggle people and things, and their different world.

I know this club is really down now, and I would love to collaborate more by putting some ad in my ency! I only need the managers or leaders permission. I know that, if we work more for it, we could raise this club to be better! Thanks! (I or a leader could owl all of the M.M.M club members so that we may start a IC thread, about all of the club members assembled somewhere in Hogwarts, so we can talk about muggle things. We can start with muggle electronic devices. Owl me if you guys are interested!
