Personality: Luna is shy and reserved, preferring to keep to herself than interact with others. She is compassionate, empathetic, and kind to everyone no matter their race, orientation, or blood type. She is very protective of her friends and family, willing to do anything to keep them safe. She is loyal, trustworthy, and has trust issues. It normally takes her a while to warm up to potential friends before she can trust them. She is intelligent and a bookworm.

Appearance: Luna has pale skin and gunmetal blue eyes. She has dark red shoulder-length hair. She wears round glasses that have a purple rim. She is 4’9. She is often seen with either earplugs in or non-electrical headphones on because of her sensitive ears. She often wears a black ankle stabilizer on her left ankle.

Disorders: She has autism, anxiety, and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). CRPS is a chronic illness that affects the nerves. She specifically has it in her left ankle but it can affect anywhere in the body. For this condition, the nerves keep on thinking there's an injury when there isn't one. As a result of this, they send excruciating pain signals. It is a very rare condition that has no cure. Her stabilizer helps her walk and stand for longer with no/minimal pain compared to if she didn't have it on.

Backstory: Luna Polaris was born at night on April 03, 2014 to Elizabeth and Michael Polaris, who are both muggles. When she was one year old, her brother, Ethan, was born. From the beginning, Luna and Ethan were extremely close, always doing anything and everything together. They always followed each other around the house and constantly could be found spending time together.

Luna was enrolled in a muggle elementary school when she was five years old. Throughout the years in school, she did so well in her academics that she got deemed a “gifted kid”. Elizabeth and Michael were extremely proud of her for being so smart.

Though, this had some unseen repercussions. Luna put a lot of pressure on herself to continue doing well in her classes, not wanting to disappoint her teachers nor her parents. This made her anxiety more extreme.

She would also get bullied at school and be left out during recess. However, she did have one close friend, Kieran. The two of them often went to Luna’s home after school and completed their homework before playing until Kieran had to go home. They were as close as sisters.

Luna continued doing well in Muggle elementary school when, on her eleventh birthday, she received a strange letter. The letter welcomed her to a school she had never heard of before. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

FIOM: When she is around the age of eight years old, during an extreme anxiety attack which was caused by school stress, Luna is in the corner of her room curled in a tight ball. She is rocking back and forth, hugging her knees tightly to her chest when her stuffed animals begin levitating around her. As soon as she notices them floating, they fall to the ground. She stares at her stuffed animals, sniffling and shocked. She doesn't know what just happened and so keeps it a secret from her parents, brother, and best friend.
