Now that Laverne’s belongings were returned to her, Paul turned his attention to Corrine and Riley. Responding "Uhm... then," He began squatting on the spot. Laverne laughed, so Riley smiled too. "You can do squats with me to warm up!" Riley tried to reply, but Paul began to speak again. "Or... uh.. I could lend you my sweatshirt?" He began to pull a fuzzy jumper out of his bag. Riley’s smile turned kind of crooked and uncomfortable. ”Ah- It’s really okay! I’m not very cold anymore…” Riley said, gesturing with her hands that she was fine. She didn’t want to be rude, but she quite literally couldn’t wear it. Especially since it had a muggle team name on it. Riley’s grandparents forbade her from wearing anything that was from a non-magical place. She really, really wanted to accept it, but she just couldn’t. But Paul didn’t seem to mind. He went over to Corrine and they started to chat. That left Riley and Laverne. Riley smiled at her. She was actually quite pretty. She had wavy brown hair and pretty pink nails. Besides every possible shade of blue, Riley’s second favorite color was probably light pink. Perhaps I should start a conversation instead of staring at her… Thought Riley. But Laverne was one step ahead, because she starting speaking first. “ So Riley, do you know anything about Quidditch and whether first years can play or not?” Riley was actually happy Laverne had asked her this, because she hadn’t too many people outside of the faux quidditch game interested in playing quidditch too. ”Well actually, you can play quidditch as a first year. You just have to sign up. I’m on the current waitlist for a chaser in Ravenclaw. You just have to ask your house’s quidditch captain.” Riley looked out the window to see someone flying on a broom in the distance. ”Have you ever played before?” Riley asked, looking back at Laverne. She used to play quidditch when she was little. Well, at least as close as she could get for it. Riley and her father used to fly up a few feet from the ground and toss around a quaffle. She loved doing that. Even though she didn’t want to pursue Quidditch as a career, she wanted to have it in her life as long as she could.
